When they woke up that morning. They noticed an extra weight on the bed and saw Holly was asleep with them. She was in the middle between his and Lily's chest. They thought it was so cute that she was cuddling with them. Maybe had a nightmare? Either way, they didn't want to disrupt her.
Lily was happy that holly was there, but her mind quickly went back to last night. He was the dark lord. She shouldn't feel so open with him. she shouldn't want to side with him and understand his pain. But she was worried about Holly, that the potion that was used on her might have affected Holly. She heard that the Amortentie potion Affects the child if you're pregnant. But she was a sweet, kind-hearted child. She loved people. But a thought hit her. Tom's mother, Merope! She must have seen what happened. After breakfast Lily had an idea again. " Holly did you know there's a library here " Holly looked at her wide eyed and smiled. Holly didn't know it was possible to have a library in your home. Holly shook her head. " Lily smiled at her " wanna help me look for it? " Holly nodded her head Quickly and went to go explore the home.
" ok, Tom we have time to find your mother and get some answers " they walked around and find her in the drawing room, reading a the newspaper on current news. " well at least he found love " Merope had mumbled to her self. Tom and her walked in together. " mother do you mind if we ask you a question? " Merope looks surprised before smiling and nodded to him " of course tom, what is it " Lily took a deep breath and spoke up. " we were wondering about holly and who she was with before we were brought back. Surely someone is looking for her? " Merope looked at her for a second and then looked bored. " oh, no that horse face Harlot and her pig nose husband surely won't be looking for, When she said she was going to a friends house to spend a week there. they were all too eager to kick her out of the house. The Merope fumed on and on about what happened the more they understood they Holly didn't wanna talk about it. Lily felt so awful... her baby was hurt and she couldn't do anything about it. I'm the one that should feel guilty " Tom pulled her into a tight hug. " I should've fought harder. " Lily said as started to weep into him. Tom held her " you did nothing wrong. I should be apologizing to you" Lily looked at him and hiccuped " but you didn't know this was going to happen either Tom "she wiped her eyes after while and had both calmed down thanks to Merope.
They both got and looked for Holly around the manor. When they find her on the ground reading a child's. She had heard them and looked up. " mommy, daddy! Look I found it all by my self, see " Tom smiled at her. Lily moved from her spot next to the door frame and walked to Holly. " you did great sweetie, wanna show what you read " holly looked excited at showing them the book she had found. While Holly wasn't looking she gave Tom a smile and a look that told him to come next to her.
He smiled back over and noticed Holly grabbed his favorite book that he took with him from the Orphanage. " the story of barber the little elephant, you know that was my Favorite book when i was little boy, i took it with me from The orphanage. " Holly smiled at him and they seemed to be at peace in the old Manor's library. It wasn't still it was getting late that they had dinner before Tom pick up and sleepy Holly and put her to bed. She Yawned as she her mom tucked her in. " good night daddy. Good night mommy. I had fun today. " Holly snuggled herself into her blankets and fell asleep. They both kissed her goodnight before going To their rooms and having a peaceful night sleep at last.
