THIRD PERSON POV

14 Olympians were in their throne room having their monthly council meeting to inform each other if there's any problem going on their domains. ( Hades and Hestia got their thrones back as per Percy Jackson's wish). When suddenly Poseidon and Aphrodite both gasped out loud and drew the attention of the entire council. "What is it brother?" asked Zeus. "My domains are getting affected by someone powerful the entire seas are restless" replied Poseidon, his forehead beaded with sweat like he was having trouble controlling it. Zeus grew worried they just had two wars within the span of 2 years. He was about to ask who is it when Aphrodite released a heart wrenching sob and muttered only one word "PERCY"

Poseidon sobered up real quick at that and screamed "IRIS" , suddenly Iris appeared in a hurry and asked respectfully "Yes Milord " "show me Percy and what's causing him to react this badly" Poseidon demanded in a harsh tone. Normally he wouldn't use that tone towards someone who was respectful towards him but this was his son, his most favored son in millennia. Iris just nodded and started to show what was happening to Percy.

The iris message started and it showed Percy standing and looking at Annabeth in the arms of another person and she started kissing him.

The entire council gasped collectively at that, it was no wonder they reacted like that. Everyone that knew of Percabeth was really invested in their relationship. You don't see a man who would decline godhood 2 times for their love.

"Alright girl let's go I need to have a chat with my family" and the IM ended at that and Iris gave her excuse and left. The entire council were thinking on what they just saw.

POSEIDON

Poseidon was seething in anger at the daughter of Athena but controlled himself from cursing her and upsetting his son. He slammed his trident in the floor effectively stopping the seas rage.

ZEUS

While he didn't show it he was fond of his nephew. He had defeated his cursed father and saved Olympus. And he was a fearless leader that walked with the confidence of a king. Something Zeus wasn't sure if he liked or not. Still none the less he wished that Percy was his son and brought more pride and honor to him.

HADES

He was angry but showing on a passive face even though he was accepted among his family did not mean that he trusted them. His nephew had done the impossible and did him a great deed and gave him his Throne in council and had his children accepted among the other demigods. Which was more important to Hades than his Throne so Percy was respected in the eyes of Hades.

APHRODITE

Aphrodite was absolutely livid and was constantly sobbing. As a goddess of love she could feel every heartbreak but one like this hurt her more than else because she was invested in it personally.

ARTEMIS

Artemis was surprised that someone could leave someone like Perseus for a mere mortal who would undoubtedly leave Annabeth for either Power or Wealth. Whereas Perseus had denied eternal power & life for her. She was kind of relieved that he wasn't with someone else romantically. She had an inkling of an idea about what this feeling of hers was but her pride wouldn't let her accept it.

THIRD PERSON POV

Everyone else was having similar thoughts when suddenly the doors of the throne room flew open and Percy walked in with a charming grin. But anyone who knew him couldn't be fooled as his eyes betrayed him and showed exactly what he was feeling utter betrayal and heartbreak. Zeus was the first one who broke out of his stupor and began loudly "PERCY JACKSON".

Percy looked up at the King of Gods and said "What's up" with a nod "and could you not speak so loudly? My mortal ears can't stand the loud noise. I mean no offense Lord Zeus, it'd be embarrassing to die of a loud voice after fighting dozens of immortals and fighting two wars " Percy said and smiled sheepishly and rubbed the back of his neck.

Everyone was silent then they began laughing even Zeus and Hera. Apollo went as far as to fall off his throne laughing. Leave it to Percy to lighten the mood. It took them a moment to calm down, then Zeus asked seriously "Why are you here young nephew?" Percy began squirming and stuttering " I I wanted to" "We know what happened, son, you don't have to talk about it" Poseidon said to his son and walked up to him in his normal height and pulled him in a hug.

"OH can we stop talking about me?" Percy said softly "Ok then what do you wanted to talk about, son?" Poseidon asked and went back to his throne and sat upon his throne. "Aah I wanted to talk about me." Percy said blushing furiously from the embarrassment of contradicting himself, and looked down to hide his blush. While everyone was chuckling.

Percy immediately said "As you know what happened you can guess that I'm unwilling to go back to camp but can't sit still and am looking for a challenge. So what do you got for me?" Everyone pondered over it and had a silent conversation on their mind while Zeus and Artemis went red from anger. After a while Artemis surrendered and slouched at her throne sighing. Zeus turned to Percy and said " We have discussed and Artemis has agreed to let you join her Hunt as an guardian of sort. Do you accept?"

Percy thought about it and looked at everyone's face. While some faces remained passive, except two, Artemis & Apollo who were looking/glaring at Percy so forcefully as to see his thoughts and intention. "NO I do not Lord Zeus" Percy said looking at him in eyes directly. "why nephew" Zeus asked to learn what was his reason.

Percy sighed and replied " I mean no offense to you Lady Artemis but I can see it in your eyes that you do not want me there. While it is an important task and you have honored me by allowing it, your hunters are still there and they are known for their Man-Hating tendencies. And I am an male and would be treated as such, as an outcast, as an slave, as a pariah. And after fighting and leading two wars and sacrificing everything I had, I think I deserve better than that. Blame it on either Arrogance or Pride but I can't live like that".

Everyone thought over what the young demigod had said and agreed that after every hardships he's been through he deserved better. Artemis tried to be offended but she agreed she had been planning to get him to do every one of the hunt's chores. And she felt slight sadness that Percy thought of her as such a petty person. "So what do you suggest son?" Poseidon asked hopeful that maybe his son would like to live with him on Atlantis.

"Before anyone says anything I would like to ask Percy to be my champion and my son if he accepts" interrupted a small voice. Hestia looked down from her throne to the demigod that was looking at her shocked and an open mouth so wide a bird could've nestled in it. Percy walked at front of Hestia's throne after getting out of his shock and kneeled. " I would love to MY lady" Percy said sincerely. Hestia got off her throne and put two fingers against his forehead and said "I Hestia goddess of hearth, adopt Percy Jackson as my first godly son and name him the champion of hearth." Percy glowed a bright orange and when it died down his eyes had an orange ring around the sea green of his eye.

Aphrodite suddenly shot at him with a pink beam of light that smelled suspiciously like perfume and his features improved. His jawline began more prominent. He now stood at 6'6". He was the best looking male there and had all the goddesses except Hestia blushing like crazy. Even Artemis and Athena the virgin goddesses were blushing and trying to hide it.

Percy ignoring the looks and began " My lords and ladies if everything else is finished than I would like to tell you that I'm going to be furtive and get some time and peace. My departure would be for almost 4-5 years and would only keep contact with my father and mother. if there's a problem that would require my help they could contact me and I promise to come at first".

The gods and goddesses thought this over and agreed and wished him their best of luck. Percy said his goodbyes and hugged his Father and Mother. And Hestia said "Train your powers of hearth you got from me. You can travel through fire, summon home-cooked meals and most important remember the hearth has the power to heal and hurt." Percy nodded and asked the goddess his adopted mother to teleport him to his birth mother's apartment. To which the goddess complied.

BLOFIS RESIDENCE

Percy appeared outside his mother's apartment and went in and since it was evening his mother and stepfather were both home and joined them at the kitchen table. They saw the look in his face and immediately knew something bad had happened. They asked what happened so he began to tell them his eventful day of betrayal and heartbreak. He told them his decision about living alone for a few years. And they said their farewell with tears streaming down everyone's face and Percy walked out of the doors.

And Percy would not be seen again to anyone for the next years...
