THIRD PERSON POV
ON OLYMPUS
There was a council meeting going on at Olympus about the regards of everyone's domain and whether there were any difficulties when suddenly Hestia and Poseidon flashed away. "Where did they go" Zeus asked the rest of the council, but the King got no answer. After 10 minutes, Artemis tensed and looked at Zeus. "Father, my hunt is getting attacked by someone powerful I have to go help them." She asked at her father, to which he nodded and she flashed away. After she was gone Zeus got concerned who this powerful person was and asked Iris to show what was going on. The council watched as the hunt was attacked.
THE HUNT
The hunt in the middle of nowhere was getting overwhelmed by the sheer force of the monster's army. There were every kind of monsters. Some Cyclops, Laestrygonians giants, empousai, hellhounds, harpies, few dracenas, two hydras. At least 200 or more monsters were engaged in one-sided battles with the hunters. But the number of the monsters wasn't the main danger there; the Titan Perses engaged with Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, was the most dangerous enemy there. The way the battle was going on Artemis and her hunt weren't going to survive the fight. Just as it was about to finish and the hunt was about to be slaughtered, the tides of the battle changed as the monsters froze nervously.
Suddenly the surrounding of the battle started freezing and ice shards were impaling some lesser monsters causing them to dissolve in showers of golden light. Hushed conversations were taking place among the monsters. Perses taking in his surroundings, realized that the battle had stopped momentarily, and he screamed at a nearby cyclops, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING YOU USELESS MONSTERS. Why have you stopped attacking?" A cyclops nervously chattered. "H he's here Lord" "WHO" screamed Perses in outrage. "THE RONIN" the cyclops replied, and immediately the rest of the monsters grew wary; some intelligent ones even ran for safety.
A hunter saw something and gasped, hearing her the rest of the hunt, and Artemis looked in the direction she was looking at and there he was. Percy Jackson, the son of Poseidon, also known as The Ronin walking dangerously towards them. His shoulder-length long, untameable black hair flying in the winds. The path he was walking was covered in ice, giving it the look of winter in the middle of summer. Every step he took caused a slight tremor and left a fiery trail. Artemis was impressed with Percy, his mere name making enemies scared enough to make them leave the fight. That was something that even her hunters hadn't achieved. Percy walked up to Artemis and stood by her side.
"Send your young hunters away Lady Artemis, they are not going to like what's about to happen." Percy told Artemis in an emotionless voice that had her shiver at the lifeless tone he spoke in. Artemis nodded and told one of the hunters to take the young ones away. After they went away; he walked up to the remaining monsters and waved his hand, and a handful of monsters erupted in flames. Just like that, the battle began again; the hunters started firing arrows by arrows. Artemis also began firing arrows.
Percy went on autopilot and started decimating left and right. He stabbed a cyclops in his eye and blocked a club in the head from another with his sword. He summoned water from a nearby lake and binded a Laestrygonian giant with it and solidified it in ice. He then proceeded to shatter the ice, clenching his fist. A empousai fired an arrow at him, aiming it for his heart; but before it could hit him, another arrow made the arrow change its direction to a passing hellhound. Percy looked up to see Artemis looking his way with a smirk on her face; he nodded in respect and started hacking his way to the titan again. Soon all the monsters disintegrated and only the titan remained.
Artemis and her hunters started to advance towards the titan when Percy got in front of them. "he's mine" He growled at them. "How dare you talk to us, filthy male, Artemis and her hunters listen to no one. Not to the likes of you vile pig. Drop your weapons now or die". One of the hunters snarled at him and nocked an arrow at him along with the rest of the hunters except Artemis and Thalia. Percy turned to face her, and his eyes caught on fire, so bright that even looking at it was burning their corneas. Startled they released their arrows, but before it could even reach him a wave of fire scorched them away, leaving just molten metals.
"I'm not in the mood to listen to one of your empty threats hunters. I have just buried my family that died at his hands not two hours away. You would do well to stand down or I will rip you or anyone who dares to stand in the way of my revenge." Percy snarled at them dangerously, and they instinctively backed away. Just looking at the pure unadulterated fury in his eyes, the hunters knew that they maybe hunters but this was the Apex predator, and if they crossed him they would be nothing short of prey in his eyes. Thalia looked at Percy and choked back a sob, "Sally, is she really?" and left the question unfinished. Percy just nodded, and she fell to her knee sobbing. Percy just turned away and walked towards the unbothered Titan.
"You think you can take me on a lone boy. I am the Destroyer, you're just going to die pathetically now." Perses announced egotistically, but Percy didn't bother replying to him and charged at him. Perses swung his spear at Percy, but at the last moment he made up a shield of ice and blocked it. Percy slashed at the titan using his confusion of seeing the shield, and left a nasty cut at his arm. Perses tried to get back at him, but Percy disarmed him like he was nothing. Then he picked up the titan's spear and stabbed him through the shoulder, effectively pinning him to the ground, and stabbed the other shoulder with riptide. Weaponless, his hands erupted in flames and he started punching him mercilessly without stopping. Perses face was so disfigured by the horrible beating he was receiving that one hunter even threw up. Percy was in the middle of his own hurricane, taking his anger out on the titan who caused the demise of his family. Perses, whole body, was ridiculed with cuts and bruises to the point that he looked nothing more than just open flesh.
Artemis and her hunt were left to just watch the beating the titan was receiving. Artemis was rendered speechless; not even Ares had shown this much Bloodlust ever. Then came the most horrifying sight she had ever seen. Percy dug his fingernails into the titan's chest, prying it open than he began to push his hands inside him and gripped it tight. "You were wrong Perses, you may have the domain of destruction but I AM THE ULTIMATE DESTROYER" Percy said with his voice getting louder at the end, and ripping Perses apart literally in two from the middle. None of the hunters and Artemis could digest such gruesome butchery and puked all their stomachs worth. After the titan died his body's two-part didn't dissolve but decayed in front of everyone's eye signaling the fading of an immortal.
Percy looked at his surroundings, and there was nothing except the hunters for him to fight. He realized the carnage he caused than he started losing the bloodlust and fell to his knee. His family was gone, now; there was nothing he could do now. Reality caught up to him and he screamed. His scream was full of anguish and pain. The earth started shaking and the sky darkened. His sobbing broke the hearts of every being that could hear him. Artemis felt her heart clench in sympathy and pain, seeing the man in front of her that had sacrificed everything for a normal life and his loved one's safety, and he got neither.
A warm hand rested on his shoulder, and Percy looked up to see his mother's eyes that had flames and hope within them; and he hugged her and sobbed on her shoulder. His breath was swallowed, but he wasn't going to let go of his mother. Hestia looked away from his son towards Artemis and nodded and smiled; when she got a nod in return, she disappeared into flames along with her son.
OLYMPUS
The council watched as Percy dealt with Perses in horrid fascination. Zeus maintained his face stoic, but everyone could tell he was worried for his daughter and nephew. Ares looked at Perses' death with glee. Apollo was worried for his sister, but looked relieved and happy when Percy arrived and killed Perses. Hera, Athena, Demeter and Aphrodite looked unnerved with the cruelty Percy was showing and Aphrodite puked. Hermes, Hephaestus and Dionysus looked on to the fight without blinking with fascination. Hades was grinning manically while eating popcorn enthusiastically (which didn't help his image as a deranged Maniac) he also seemed to be taking notes for the Fields of Punishment.
When the battle was over everyone was silent until Ares spoke "I love that kid even though he scares me a little. I want a copy of that fight for my personal collection." He directed the last sentence towards Hephaestus who grunted and nodded in agreement already thinking about the ratings the footage was going to get. "Well, anyway, remind me to thank the boy the next time I see him and not to piss him off. Meeting Adjourned," Zeus declared, and flashed away. The rest of the gods also flashed away, following him.
