Hello everyone, This chapter is a little early, because my exams are starting. In a week. I don't even know when I will be able to upload the next one. So stay patient, please, if I don't update in a week or two. And don't worry, I'm not going to abandon this story.
THIRD PERSON POV
Percy woke up to find Piper snuggled into his chest. His arms wrapped around her torso. Annabeth was also spooning Piper. The three of them lay together, wrangled in each other's embrace. He knew he should've withdrawn himself from her, but for some reason he couldn't. He was drawn to Piper-like a moth to flame.
After a minute, someone knocked on his bedroom door. Sighing Percy got off his bed, and walked to the door. He opened his door to see his daughter standing there, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. She looked up at him and opened her arms for him to pick her up. To which he happily obliged.
"Good Morning baby, slept well?" He asked her, and she nodded. "Yes. But dad, I'm hungry." She said yawning, and Percy could feel his heart melting at his daughter's cuteness.
"Alright sweetheart, do you want pancakes?" He smiled at her, thinking about sharing the routine of blue pancakes he and his mother had. Eva nodded enthusiastically, happy for pancakes.
He smiled and picked his daughter up, brought her to the kitchen, and sat her upon a stool. He started making the infamous Sally Jackson blue pancakes. Sometime between this Piper and Annabeth had joined Eva around the dinner table. Watching Percy move around the kitchen preparing breakfast for them. Something about seeing him doing this small, domestic work, had both Annabeth and Piper's desires burning.
Someone rang the doorbell for their palace. Annabeth went to check on it, and returned with Artemis. Annabeth took her place at the dinner table, motioning Artemis to do the same. As they all sat down, Percy served everyone his very own special blue pancakes.
"So you two slept well?" Percy asked Piper, and Annabeth, trying for small talk, as they all ate their breakfast.
"Yeah. I slept pretty well. I feel much refreshed than before," Piper replied in a small voice.
"I bet you slept pretty well. You were clinging to Percy like lifeline. Like a baby Kangaroo." Annabeth said to Piper in a teasing tone, a smirk present on her face. Piper blushed deep gold at the insinuation. Percy looked at Annabeth in horror that she would tease them like this.
However, Artemis was frowning. Another girl that already had enough affection for Percy, that he allowed her to sleep with him in the same bed. She would have to make her move fast. Or else she loses the man she had come to be in love with.
"Why is the pancake blue daddy?" Eva asked, surprised by the notion of blue pancakes.
"Yeah seaweed brain, why is it that you eat blue food? I thought I had known all your secrets and had seen everything. And I do mean everything." Annabeth asked him, emphasizing in the last part. Percy's face was matching the cabin 7's, bright gold.
Artemis and Piper, caught on fairly quickly to what she meant by that, and couldn't help themselves but be sad. Piper didn't know what her feelings meant yet for a daughter of Aphrodite, she wasn't properly in touch with her emotions. Artemis knew exactly what this feeling was. Jealousy. She was jealous that Annabeth already had a proper relationship with him; that they could be intimate.
Percy turned to his daughter and replied, "You see sweetheart, when I was your age. My mom married a horrible man to keep me safe. He was really bad, he used to hurt me and my mother a lot. One day I asked my mom for something blue to eat, but the bad man told me that there was no thing as blue food. So from then on, my mom went out of her way, to make blue foods for me. Blue cakes, blue cookies, blue pancakes and more. You understand baby?" Percy explained as best as he could, without mentally scarring the 6 year old with his abuse.
They all fell into silence. Piper, Annabeth, and Artemis already knew he was abused as a kid. He had said that much in his letter before he left, but hearing it from his mouth was hard. His voice was so unbelievable, soft, and quiet, like he was still afraid of his step-father.
Eva nodded, showing she understood. Then, after a few seconds smiled brightly. "Your mom is my grandmother." She declared, rather than asking. Obviously loving her from the story.
"Yes she is, she would've loved you so much. And she would've spoiled you with so many blue candies." Percy told his daughter, who smiled widely at the prospect of candies.
"What happened to her?" Eva asked about her grandmother.
"She was killed by a monster darling. But she is in Elysium now. She is happy there." Percy said, trying to comfort his daughter, as much as he was trying to comfort himself. Somewhere between this Annabeth had grabbed one of his hands, squeezing it for comfort.
"Oh," was all that; Eva replied. Knowing the horrors of death. She had seen her own father die at the hands of a monster.
"But don't worry, you still have two grandparents. One is Poseidon, he is the King of the seas. The other is Athena, goddess of wisdom. She is really smart like your mom. You would like them." Percy told her, as another knock was heard at the door.
Annabeth went to look for it and found Athena there. Both of them came inside. "Why was I mentioned?" She asked her daughter.
"We were talking to Eva and Percy mentioned how you are really smart, and how she would like you," Annabeth motioned her mother to sit. Athena raised her eyebrow at Percy in surprise.
"I suppose, he is not that bad for a Sea Spawn either." Athena declared, but the tone in her voice wasn't condescending like always. Instead, it was a teasing tone.
Percy raised his brow at her, "Was that a compliment? Next thing I know you are gonna declare your undying love for me." He said mischievously, which caused Annabeth to smack him in the back of his head, and Athena to snort.
"Dream on Squidward, never going to happen." Athena said, equally mischievous, lacking the usual bite.
The ladies laughed at his shocked expression at the unusual nickname. He soon composed himself and replied, "Whatever you say Owl brain."
Athena huffed in response to that. Meanwhile, Artemis was wondering: why hasn't her sister summoned her spear to skewer him yet. Athena turned towards Eva, "You are smart aren't you?" She asked her.
"I am," she declared proudly.
"Good stay that way. You should start reading books more." Athena sternly said to Eva, and she nodded along. Meanwhile Percy was rolling his eyes at her, and mouthed 'Nerd' to Artemis. Who was snickering quietly.
They fell into comfortable silence as they ate their breakfast. Athena went away to her library. Piper and Annabeth went in to freshen up and change their clothes. Leaving Artemis, Percy and Eva alone.
Eva turned to Artemis and asked, "Are you my mom too?" Percy choked on the pancake he was eating, and almost had a heart attack. Which wasn't really all that possible for a God. Artemis turned a bright shade of gold at the innocent question of the 6 year old.
Artemis looked at Eva, "I don't know, your father is a big wuss. He hasn't asked me to go out with him yet." Artemis replied, glancing at Percy from the corner of her eye.
Percy had his heart beating rapidly; he wanted to ask her out, but was dreading the outcome. But now he was jumping from joy from inside, "You would go out with me?" He asked, and Artemis smiled at the happy tone in his voice, and nodded.
"So tonight? That works for you." Percy raised the question at her. "We'll see Fish face" She replied amusedly, kissed Eva on the cheek and flashed out.
"Alright sweetheart, go and get dressed. We are going to camp in a hour." He said to his daughter, who nodded and ran away to her room.
CAMP HALF BLOOD
For the first time in camp history, capture the flag with hunters went smoothly. The campers won for the first time in the last 75 capture the flag against hunters. Artemis' hunters were obviously whining about losing, yet they couldn't deny themselves that they enjoyed the game.
Meanwhile, Artemis was frowning and grumbling about how her hunters had lost for the first time. Percy was smirking at her, enjoying her discomfort. Suddenly his face lit up as a idea popped into his head, "Care for a spar milady?" He asked, his eyes shining at her.
"Well, it's been a long time, since I have beaten a boy. Who am I to deny you the chance at humiliation boy?" She said, but the taunt was not very believable, as her smile betrayed her.
Their commotion was heard by the few nearby them and soon everyone was notified. People started gathering at the Arena to watch the two gods spar. Gods and Goddesses flashed in, and bets started placing for the winner. Soon the two gods flashed in too. Artemis was in her hunting garbs, while Percy was in his normal Assassin attire.
Both stood in the middle of the arena as they settled the rules for spar. "No powers, no ranged weapons, fight till one yields. Agreed?" Percy asked, as he explained the rules. Artemis nodded, she couldn't find any problem in the rules.
Both circled each other, one a goddess of hunt, the other a god of apex predators. Two unrivaled hunters, par to par with each other.
"You sure you don't want to yield already?" Artemis asked, slightly cockily, but Percy could tell she was just trying friendly banter. "If I lose I lose, but by us, it will be fun." Percy replied to her. Artemis summoned her hunting knives.
"Start," Artemis said, as she attacked him. Percy barely had the time to take out Riptide, as he dodged the strike on his chest. Artemis rushed the demigod turned god, without giving him any chance to recover. Percy defended the onslaught with his sword, not getting a chance to strike back.
Percy saw an opening in the goddess' attack, and used the hilt of his sword to deflect a slash, and jammed his elbow at the goddesses' side, sending her back at the sudden imbalance. Before she could regain her foot, he summoned a throwing knife and threw it at her with such accuracy that she couldn't deflect it. So the knife made a very large gash in her thighs.
Artemis frowned, seeing her own injury. Immediately she started attacking again. Making an arc from her knives, slashing. Percy met her strike head on. He deflected her and swung his sword at her. He put a little too much strength, and the goddess was flown across the arena. Yet she maneuvered herself to her feet. Her expression was fierce like a Tiger. Percy knew he had screwed up there.
Percy shouldn't have been scared, but he was. He had faced Gods and Titans before. This shouldn't have been no different. However it was, this wasn't any other god who had grown lazy at their rule. This was a hunter goddess, who had been regularly training. One of the best in combat. Practically unrivaled in her ways. Yet Percy was also a warrior god; he wasn't named the God of Carnage for nothing.
Percy braced himself for the attack he knew was coming, and surely she brought everything she had with her. He saw the playful smirk on her face and relaxed that she wasn't mad.
Cheers and roars were not slowing down at the arena. The demigods were cheering for their King, as the hunters were cheering for their mistress. While the gods and immortals were watching the spar with interest. Olympus' two best fighters duking it out.
From there on it was all swords and knives. Only the sound of metal could be heard. They were so fighting so fast, that even the immortals were having trouble following them.
Artemis was enjoying the spar very much; this was the first time in a very long time, where she had an opponent so good. She was doing relatively well until Percy commented, "Dear Chaos, you look hot while you're fighting." His comment made Artemis stumble, and her weapons were thrown across, with a sword at her throat.
"Yield," he asked, his face smug. Artemis could tell he knew just exactly what he had done. 'Playing dirty. Two can play that game Fish face' she thought to herself. She gave him an innocent wink and lunged at him, pressing her lips to his. Taking advantage of his shock, she summoned a knife and pressed it against his throat. "Yield," she asked smugly, their foreheads touching. She could feel his shallow breath on her face.
"I yield," he replied, pushing aside the knife in his throat. Immediately, he attacked her lips with his. Kissing her roughly, he pulled her onto himself. All while continuing to kiss her, he flashed them away.
The spectators could only watch with an open mouth as the two gods ended the spar, in the most unimaginable way possible. Hunters were having trouble believing their mistress was kissing a boy; even better, she was the one who initiated it. Olympians themselves were in shock at the recent development.
Zeus turned to Annabeth and thundered, "Are you going to do anything?" His voice slightly panicked.
"What? I've been waiting for that a long time. The sexual tension between those two was palpable. Let them go at it." She replied nonchalantly. Upon seeing the incredulous looks she was receiving, she explained, "He is destined to have multiple soul mates. I know from the first day we learned, his eyes had immediately searched for Artemis."
Her reason didn't do anything to settle the emotions of the hunters, but Zeus calmed down a bit. He turned to Apollo and asked, "Why are you not freaking out?" He asked perplexed. As far as Zeus knew, anyone who even dared to court Artemis had to face Apollo's rage.
"I talked to her earlier, she admitted to be in love with him. And in my opinion he is the only one out there, worthy enough to be with my sister. Also she said if anyone came between them, she would rip them apart." Apollo told them of Artemis' threat, which had many people gulping.
All they could do now was accept it. This was two Gods; no one wanted to cross.
PERCY POV
I flashed us to a cliff near the ocean, with the moon shining above us. This place was a favorite of mine. Upon my 5 years leave, I used to come here a lot. Something about the moon and ocean calmed me down whenever I felt low in life.
I was still kissing Artemis, very passionately at that. I never would've thought of kissing her before, but now I couldn't stop. Her lips had the perfect taste of cinnamon and wood. Her lips molded into mine like they belonged together. The bliss of the feel of her lips was so ecstatic, it made my mind stop working. My hands were at her waist, with her sitting on my lap, straddling me.
My hands started roaming around her thighs, which she swatted away, "Easy boy, no need to do everything tonight." She chastised him smiling.
They sprung apart and lay on their backs, watching the stars in the night sky.
"So care to tell me, how we got here?" Percy asked, referring to their position.
"I developed feelings for you from the time you held up the weight of the sky, the Titan's curse. I never wanted to but still I did, but the feelings grew stronger at your quest to defeat the earth mother. I was afraid of these emotions, because I have always been afraid of marriage and love." Artemis explained, her voice small. She probably had never been open to another person.
"Care to elaborate on that?" I pried further. I know I shouldn't have, but I wanted to understand her further.
"I come from a time where women weren't respected Percy. They were treated as an object not a person. At worst they were treated like a slave or door mat, something to just keep. And at best they were treated as trophy, something to show off. I never wanted that, I never wanted to live at another Person's behest. So I asked my father to let me remain maiden, to never give me away to anyone in marriage. I pledged to remain eternal maiden on his name." She said, and I had to agree with her reasons. I stayed silent as she continued.
"But you made me believe else. When you saved me from the Titan's curse, I thought you were gonna demand something. Either my maidenhood or something else. I have been deceived from a son of Poseidon before. So I didn't trust you, but you asked nothing except to keep the Ophiotaurus safe. I started to watch over you to see if you would become like the rest of Heroes. Cocky, arrogant and hubristic. However, you showed no such traits. Instead you declined your achievements by forcing yourself into shadows. You even declined the chance at immortal life for your love. I had been watching over you for so long that I didn't realize when I started to fall for you."
She took a deep breath, "When you fell into the pit for Annabeth, I couldn't help but admire you. That's when my feelings for you cemented, but I knew I couldn't do anything. You rejected eternal life for her, how could I come between that? Then you left and came back, and accepted godhood. I was ecstatic to hear that you would have multiple soul mates; don't get me wrong, I didn't like the idea of sharing you. But I was already in love with you that it didn't seem that big of a deal. I know you would love me equally, and treat me respectfully. So I couldn't wait anymore."
She closed her eyes as she waited for my reply.
"You love me?" I asked her, slightly shocked at the sudden proclamation of love.
"Yes I do. I can't deny it anymore," she told me, slightly, afraid that I wouldn't feel the same for her.
"I love you too," I said to her; she turned to look at me, to find any deceit in my words. When she found none, she kissed me deeply. When we parted I asked her, "What did you mean? You had a bad experience with another son of Poseidon?"
"Orion. Unlike what the myths say, I wasn't in love with him. He was a good hunter, almost as good as me. I had never seen someone that good in hunting. I admired his skills, so I asked him to join me in hunt. He was the only male that ever had a place among my hunters. But when I was on Olympus for some work, I left him with the protection of my hunters. When I returned Apollo had tricked me into killing him. Only later did I find out, he had raped one of the girls in a nearby village, and was planning to do the same to me." Artemis told me, and my blood boiled at the thought of someone hurting Artemis.
Time slowed down, the earth started shaking at my rage. Artemis took my hand and squeezed it, "Calm down Percy, he didn't hurt me." I calmed down and nodded.
"What happened between you and Apollo?" I asked her after I controlled myself. She sighed deeply, years of frustration in her sigh.
"The only man I had ever been close to before was Apollo. When we were in Delos, he always used to look after me. He was my best friend, we shared everything. When we came to Olympus, godlings of every kind tried to bed me. He scared away everyone, but after we got our domains. He started to change, he would bed every woman he could find, started drinking. He wasn't the brother I knew. So I distanced myself from him, treated him like the rest of his gender. Slowly by slowly we drifted apart until all that remained was our relation." She told me, her voice cracking at the end. She regrets that she doesn't have the same relationship with her brother was obvious. Yet I could tell what happened to Apollo.
"It's a coping mechanism." I told her, she looked at me and frowned. "What?" She asked. "Apollo's behavior after you two got your domains. It's a coping mechanism, so he doesn't lose himself in pain."
"What do you mean? What pain?" She asked, slight, apprehensive, that I might be lying to her.
"He has a lot of domains Artemis, some worse than the other. He is always in pain because of that." "Why?" She asked, slightly afraid of the answer.
"As the God of Prophecy, he always sees glimpses of future. All the horror that is to happen, he sees all of that before it. Yet he can't do anything, the fates won't allow it. So he has to keep all that horror, all that pain to himself. As the God of truth, he feels every lie, every betrayal, every deceit. Yet he can't do anything. As the God of healing and medicine, he can see and feel all the pain people feel from diseases. Still he can't do anything because of the Ancient laws. Can you imagine living with that horror and pain every single day of his Immortal life. That's why he acts immature and does the things you despise. If people see him as a degenerate then no one can see through him, see his pain. I think Hermes is the only one who knows of this." I said and turned to her.
Her face had shifted to one of horror. I could see the internal sorrow she was going through. Never learning that her own brother has been in such pain for the past couple of millennia. Tears flowed from her eyes. She controlled herself, then asked me, "How do you know it?" She asked me, not believing me. I could understand that it was better to think that I was lying, than understanding that she treated her brother like an outsider.
I raised my eyebrow at that, "I am the lord of Fate Artemis. I see the glimpses of future too. I have better control of it, because the fates have no power over me. Apollo can't do anything to control it."
She nodded and closed her eyes. Taking what I said to her into consideration. She started sobbing, it was the second time I had seen her crying. I didn't know how to console her; thankfully I didn't have to. Another person called, "It's alright Artemis, you didn't know. I can't fault you for your actions."
I turned to look to see Apollo standing at the side of the cliff. "How did you get here?" I asked him and he smirked, "Names have power, you kept using my name. So here I am, I also don't know whether to hurt you or thank you for telling her my secret."
"Tell me if you figure it out," I smirked equally cheekily at him.
"I'm sorry Apollo, I didn't know you were in such pain. I'm sorry for the things I have said and done to you in the past." Artemis cried as she hugged her brother with all her strength.
"It's no problem, little sis. We can repair our relationship now." He said to her, and for the first time she didn't berate him for calling her little sis. Instead, she nodded, "Alright brother."
I smiled at the siblings exchange. Soon Apollo said goodbye, "And use protection you two." He said, and flashed out before Artemis' arrow could pierce him.
Artemis turned to me and kissed me passionately, me responding in the same. "Thank you for everything." She said, and settled on the ground, lying on her back. Soon I joined her. We looked at the stars. The constellation Huntress, shining brighter than most.
"She's happy. She agrees to this relationship." She told me and I nodded.
"I have a way to bring her back," I told her, bluntly, thinking about it. I could've dulled it down a little.
"WHAT," she said loudly, and turned to me with such speed, I thought she might have gotten whiplash.
"Zoe. I have a way to bring her back to life." I told her, and she grabbed my shoulders. "How," she asked, her voice controlled, like she was waiting for me to say 'Not.'
"When she died, she hadn't died fully. Her spirit remained, and was turned to stars. Just like Thalia, she wasn't fully dead yet too, so upon the use of the Golden Fleece, her spirit healed and she came back to life. I know a way to do the same to her too. I just have to heal her spirit." I explained to her. There was a different light on her eyes, hope.
"How can you heal her,?" She asked, slightly afraid of the complications that her best friend might face.
"Simple, I give her immortality. Do you want me to do it?" I asked her, smirking, already knowing her answer.
"Are you kidding me, of course I want you to do it." She said, jumping in excitement. The joy on her face made my heart melt, and I knew as long as I lived she would have a permanent place in my heart.
"Okay step back," I said, and she did exactly that. I took out Riptide and embedded some of my immortal essence into it. "I reclaim the ownership of this sword and return it to it's rightful owner. May she claim the immortal power that this sword wields." I said, and the sword dissolved into the air.
I turned to look at Artemis, who was staring at me in awe, "You just gave away that sword. The most famous sword in Greek history. That sword was legendary." She exclaimed and I smiled at her, cupping her cheek. "For you, or any of the girls I love, I would sacrifice my very being. It was nothing." I said to her and kissed her on the lips.
We were kissing, when she suddenly gasped, looking at the night sky. Something was falling from the sky, from the constellation Huntress, to be exact. I willed the water to soften the fall of the former huntress. When the water disappeared, there stood the most famous huntress of Artemis. The Onyx eyes, Persian princess looking huntress.
Zoe looked around her, shocked by the change in scenery. Done with her gazing, she looked at us. The only presence present there. She was surprised to say the least, but soon composed herself.
"Hello Milady, I've missed thee," she said, before turning towards me.
"Hello Percy," she said, blushing.
ANOTHER CHAPTER FINISHED
UPDATE DATE 12/FEB/2022
So Zoe is alive now, I'm thinking about adding her to the mix too, but haven't decided yet. The confirmed pairings are Annabeth, Piper, and Artemis. I'm thinking of adding 3 other girls too. The choices for that pairing are-
1. Athena (Mostly decided)
2. Thalia or Reyna
3. Zoe or Medusa
The last one is a little odd, but I can twist it into Percy freeing Medusa from her curse, and asking her into his creed of Assassins. (This Idea was inspired by JBubu/Fanfiction, from their fiction- Reign of the new Protogenoi.)
