Hey guys here's another chapter. I have ADHD so sometime the chapters might be late. Mostly I just upload them early, because once I think of something I can't help but write and upload it.
This is a work of appreciation for the Percy Jackson book series by Rick Riordan. Characters are owned by him except the original ones.
I decided to change the soulmates no to 9 because I couldn't deny anyone of their choice's pairing. I'm too much a softy for that. It is my first story so bear with me.
Some one said that the writing was very simple, and not enjoyable. I just wanted to tell you that english is the 4th language I've learned, so it won't be that good. Simply because I don't that much about the language.
PERCY POV
After discussing some things with Nico and Will, I decided to catch up with Artemis. Knocking on her cabin door, it was Thalia that answered it. "What are you doing here Kelp head?" She asked, stepping aside for me to enter. She was happier than usual, her electrifying blue eyes catching me with surprise as always.
I remember the day she had woken up from her tree. No one moved to help her, but the moment I saw her blue eyes. It was like I had no control. I moved without thinking. I just wanted her to be safe. I had dreamt of her on my first quest, before ever seeing her. I knew exactly what she was like. When Annabeth had told me we would either be best friends or enemies. I knew I wanted to be her friend; just hearing about her had made me smile. Whoa don't know why this particular memory was resurfacing now.
I went inside the cabin to see it as any other regular cabin, but in silver. The walls had some of their hunting trophies hanging. About dozens of bunk-beds with hunters occupying them. "Warning Male coming," Thalia shouted, shoving me playfully. Her mouth gracing a teasing smirk.
The hunters were all ready within a second, their bows at hand, ready to fire. They relaxed when they saw me. I walked forward, and sat on an empty bed.
"What are your intentions with our Lady?" An older hunter asked; I didn't know her name.
"Well right now, I'm just dating her. But further in the future I plan to marry her, have some kids and live our life with each other." I answered truthfully, this was the closest family Artemis had. I would have to answer them carefully.
"You plan to take her maidenhood?" Another asked, however, and I noticed that none of them were disgusted by me.
"Yes, if she agrees to give herself to me completely. However, I won't force her to, we can still be happy without sex. I would love her the same no matter the circumstance." I could tell they were satisfied with my answer; still they held more.
"If she decides to give you her maidenhood, what would happen to the hunt? How can she be the goddess of virgins, without being one?" This time it was Thalia who asked.
"It will remain as the same. Dionysus is the god of madness, without being mad himself. A god/goddess domains aren't based on what they are, but rather their ideas or responsibilities. I am a god of demigod, because even as a demigod, I cared about demigods more than anything else. Artemis domain of virginity would remain the same as will the hunt." I answered, and they all nodded happily, that the hunt wouldn't be affected.
"Explained well Fish face," Artemis voice called out, as she came into view. She gave me a little kiss, which had me whining when we separated.
"So did you tell them?" I asked, happy to see the hunt's reaction to reuniting with their sister.
"No I was waiting for you, let's go," she said, and I nodded.
"What are you two talking about?" Thalia asked, as she came by my side. Placing a hand on my shoulder, I leaned into it, without thinking. She looked at me a little confused, but didn't say anything.
"Percy has a surprise for you all. Let's huddle up, we are going to Olympus." Artemis announced, and all the hunters gathered around her except Thalia. She took my hand and smiled; I flashed us to Artemis' palace.
When all of us arrived at Artemis' palace, Zoe was in the living room watching TV. She squeaked loudly, seeing us, and was soon being dog piled by the older hunters who knew her. Thalia stayed frozen as tears pooled up in her eyes. I squeezed her hand in assurance and kissed her cheek. "Go," I told her.
After explaining to the hunters how their dead sister was alive again, which all of them gave me a hug for. I left them alone to celebrate.
Waking up with 3 women was something that I never dreamt of. Yet here I was, waking up to three gorgeous women sprawled upon my bed. Artemis, and Annabeth lay with their heads on my chest. Piper was spooning Annabeth from behind. I took my time to take in their presence.
Piper continued to sleep in the same room as us since the first day. I knew that she had feelings for me, to which I wholeheartedly returned. I would have to confront her real soon.
Artemis also started sleeping with me in the same bed, from the time we declared our love for each other. We still hadn't slept together; she still wanted to wait for it. I could understand that, being a virgin for 4000 years, she was probably scared. It's not like I was dying to sleep with her. I loved her; I could love her without sex too. However, last night, when Annabeth surprised us by swooping Artemis in for a kiss, it had me dizzy. I had to control myself from jumping them.
Annabeth was strangely okay with sharing with me. One might think that she was turned on sometimes at the thought of sleeping with other women, too. If she had decided she didn't want to share me, I would've accepted it. But thank the creator, she didn't.
I was in love with 3 women, but my heart still felt empty. I knew what that meant; I was going to fall for three more women. Sighing I walked up to my daughter's room to wake her up. She was drooling in her sleep.
After she woke up, she asked for blue pancakes. So I went to prepare breakfast, as she moved to freshen up.
Piper was already waiting for me in the kitchen. "Let me help you make breakfast," she said, as she brought out the ingredients for the pancakes. We moved in perfect harmony, almost like we were doing this for years. I sprayed some syrup on her, to which she retaliated in the same.
Soon there was a food war that was going on. Artemis, Annabeth, and Eva also joined in. Food and vegetables went flying everywhere. We were all covered in different kinds of food and condiments. The fight soon ended as we used up all the available food. Annabeth waved her hand and the kitchen cleaned itself up.
Piper was pouting as she had some syrup dripping from her hair. "Here, let me help you," I said, and waved my hands to clean her. She smiled at me and I decided to be brave. I stepped forward, and captured her lips with mine, surprising her. Soon she overcame her shock and returned the kiss with the same passion.
"Eew cooties," A small voice called out, making us jump apart. We turned to see Eva looking disgusted at our show of affection. Artemis and Annabeth were smirking at me; I guess they already knew about my love for Piper.
Piper and I were blushing hard. We had forgotten about the audience present.
Soon we were settled at the dining table, eating breakfast. When we were done I turned to my daughter, "How about you go to your room sweetheart. I have to talk to your mom." She nodded and hopped off to her room.
"What do you want to talk about Seaweed Brain?" Annabeth asked, along with Artemis and Piper waiting for me to answer.
"You know how I was meant to have 3 lovers. Now that I have you three I still don't feel complete. I can feel that there are others out there I'm meant to be with." I said with closed eyes. I was waiting for an explosion from them, about how I was a pig and bastard. I opened my eyes to see them looking at me in love, not disgust.
"I think I can answer that," A voice called out as Chaos materialized in our kitchen. 'Oh Great' I thought, her appearance probably meant a headache for me.
"That's not a nice thing to say, but just so you know it will give you a headache." Chaos smiled sweetly at me. That smile made me wary; she had a distinct smirk on her face. One that reads Bad News.
"You stop reading my mind," I pointed my finger at her, trying to block my thoughts from her. Annabeth, Artemis, and Piper were silent. Probably scared of her; I wonder why. Despite being annoying, the creator was really sweet.
"I knew you cared about me." She gasped, "And yes you should not be afraid of me." She said towards my ladies. The three of them nodded and relaxed.
"Well the reason for my visit was to tell you something important about your love life." She said grimacing, I had a bad feeling about it. "Well you see after I revealed that you would have multiple soulmates. Eros the primordial one, my son decided to mess with it. And I'm afraid it is irreversible."
The four of us stiffened at that, wondering how he had messed with my love life. Bracing myself from reality, I hesitantly asked, "What did her do?" My voice was really small, I feared the answer.
"You know how you were meant to have 6 soulmates?" Chaos asked me, I nodded at her. "Well now you would have 9 soulmates, all of whom you will love, and they will return that love equally."
My head was spinning at the revelation. The last thing I saw was my three incredible girlfriends turning to glare at me.
I woke up to the sight of my girlfriends worried about me. "I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry. I know you must hate me now, believe me I hate myself too. I would love 9 people romantically, that's so immoral. I promise you it wasn't my fault or intention." I pleaded to them, looking down in shame, not being able to look them in the eyes.
"Percy you can't think like that. We were soul mates, meant to be together. I can't deny my feelings for you anymore, then you can deny yours. We already know we were meant to share you with others. You don't have to think any less of yourself. You're still the same man, the same kind and loyal person. I know you will love all of us equally." Surprisingly, it was Artemis who answered.
"Yes Percy, you can't blame yourself. It is not your fault you're meant to have multiple partners. We will love you no less just because you will love 3 more. There are different kinds of love, you will have a bigger love life. Even if you are meant to have a harem of lovers, you will treat us right with respect, that I know." Piper said, her voice as soothing as ever.
"Also it might be a little immoral to mortals. Throughout the history powerful kings have always had multiple wives or partners for them. You also come under that type, you're the most powerful god to ever exist. Just never change, that's all we ask you."
I felt like crying, thanking mother Ananke for giving me such caring girls. I composed myself and nodded, "let's go, it's time for this week's council meeting."
THIRD PERSON POV
It had been a week since Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase had accepted godhood. Today was the day of the council meeting when a new member for the Olympian council was going to be decided. No one knew who Percy was going to choose. Every Olympian was on the edge of their thrones. All 14 of them waiting for God of Fate to arrive.
The doors of the throne room flew open, and in walked Percy Jackson. He was dressed in khaki Bermuda shorts, and a Tommy Bahama shirt. The elder Olympians, except Poseidon and Hestia, groaned at his choice of clothing. Poseidon was smiling widely at his son's dressing style. Hestia was chuckling at the antics of her son.
Percy walked up to his throne, growing to his godly height. He kissed Hestia on the cheek and said, "Hello mother, how are you? It's been a while." She smiled at him and the whole room relaxed. She had one of those infectious smiles, that made everyone smile back. "Yes it has been a while. Why don't you and your girlfriends join me for dinner this evening? I believe it's time I met my granddaughter." She said to me, and I nodded, promising to come.
Poseidon also perked up, "You should join us on Atlantis soon for dinner too." Percy nodded at his father's request.
Zeus started the meeting and kept ranting about stuff not worthy of Percy's concern. So he just dozed off. "So Nephew you want to tell us about the decision you've made about Dionysus' replacement?" He asked, trying not to be hostile as always, although grumbling that his son was forced out of the council.
Percy nodded and turned to the council, "First I would like to ask my father and Lord Hades to bring forth the Queen and Prince of the underworld and seas."
Poseidon and Hades, although a little surprised, nodded and summoned their family. Amphitrite, Persephone, Triton and Nico arrived at the Olympian throne room soon after, looking confused. Poseidon spoke to clear their confusion, "Perseus here has requested your presence for this meeting," Amphitrite smiled at her step-son after the giant war; both of them had reconciled, same with Triton.
"Before the meeting began, millennia's old mistake should be undone. I request Aphrodite's and Hephaestus' marriage to be annulled." I said, much to the shock of everyone and Hephaestus' joy. He looked excited for the first time, looking away from the metals he was tinkering with.
Aphrodite however, was not happy. She may not have shown it, but she cared for her husband, and did not want to be divorced from him.
"No," Hera refused Percy's request. Percy already didn't like her, but the direct refusal to his request was making him angry.
"And pray, tell Hera why no?" He said her name in such disgust that she recoiled.
"I'm the goddess of marriage. It is my decision." She spoke, refusing to back down.
"And your son is unhappy at the loveless marriage he is in. In fact did you know, that Aphrodite being the goddess of love affects those around her?" Percy hissed at Hera. She was trying not to show her fear, but she was failing.
"What do you mean?" Athena asked, always curious that goddess of wisdom. Percy's expression softened, looking at her.
He explained himself to them, "Aphrodite is the goddess of love, her very existence affects those powerful around her. Her being unfaithful to her husband is the reason Poseidon and Zeus are always cheating on their wives. I'm not saying it's Aphrodite's fault. They let themselves be affected without fighting it. That's why Hades doesn't cheat on his wife much, he is out of the influence of Olympus. Poseidon cheats less than Zeus because he fights some of it. Zeus on the other hand is just a man whore who can't control himself. Although he would've cheated a little less."
Everyone had wide eyes at the announcement; Percy just had. Aphrodite herself was surprised by the new fact that came to them.
Hera nodded and stood up and chanted in ancient Greece, then announced, "Hephaestus and Aphrodite, as the goddess of marriage I declare your marriage void."
Aphrodite slumped down at her throne, trying to hold back her tears. Meanwhile, Hephaestus was smiling broadly and cheering for himself. His ex-wife saw this and was saddened. 'Was I really that awful to him' she thought to herself. Maybe she could reconnect with him; that thought didn't hold much hope for her.
"Now I would like to add two more seats at the Olympian Council. I would like to add Queen Persephone and Queen Amphitrite to take their place on council. Maybe with their Queens present in the council, the big three would finally stop acting like children. Let's put it to vote, who votes for them to join the council?" Percy said, ignoring the gasps running down the gods, and the big three scowling at being called children.
Only Ares, Hera, and Zeus were the ones who hadn't raised their hands. Percy looked at the raised hands and smiled, "Those who oppose." Ares, Hera, Zeus raised their hand.
"The majority has passed. Let us congratulate the Queen of Sea, and the Queen of Underworld to their Olympian elevation." Annabeth said happily, as two thrones rose to the side of Poseidon and Hades.
One was a black and green throne. Wrapped with vines, flowers from different seasons. It was made of stygian iron, radiating death and warmth at the same time. Her throne matched her husband's and her personality perfectly.
The second one was made of wood. It was blue in color, showing waves of the seas. Crabs and fishes were carved on the side of the throne. It was a simple throne, much like Poseidon's.
Persephone and Amphitrite grew to their godly heights and took their place as Olympians. Poseidon, Hades and Demeter smiled at seeing their loved ones as Olympians.
"Now for the replacement of Dionysus, I announce Nico Di'Angelo as the replacement for the wine god." Percy announced, before he turned to Triton, "Sorry brother, as much as I want another son of a sea to be on the council, I have to give justice and respect to the House of Hades."
Triton just smiled at his brother, "No problem little brother. I do not crave a seat at the council. I'm just happy seeing my mother get the respect she deserves."
"Nico Di'Angelo step forward," Nico did as he was asked. He stepped forward and kneeled. The Olympians stood up and threw rays of their power at him. Nico glowed and cried out in pain as he was turned into a god.
"All Hail Lord Nico God of Punishment, Shadows and Nightmares. Ghost King." Percy announced, everyone was silent at the dark domains of Nico, but didn't say anything.
A new throne rose at the place where Dionysus' used to be. It was a simple Stygian Iron throne, plain, and simple. Yet it looked deadly enough to give other people chills. Nico grew to his godly height and took his place as an Olympian.
Percy smiled and nodded, "Anyone has anything else they would like to disclose."
Artemis smiled at her lover and answered, "Medusa has reformed again. We should send a quest to kill her again. So she could turn no more people could turn to stones."
"No," Percy answered to her.
"What do you mean?" Artemis asked him, tilting her head.
"I will remove her curse, and ask her to join my creed of Assassins. It is time to fix the mistake of the past." Percy said, as everyone turned to look at him in surprise.
"No I cursed her and she will remain cursed. She tried to harm too many of my child," Athena snarled at Percy, whose body stiffened.
Percy took a breath and turned to Athena. His face one of anger, "Hypocrite, all of you gods who were here before my time are hypocrites. Hephaestus and Apollo are the only ones who have tried to be good." He growled at Athena and the rest of Gods.
"What are you talking about?" Athena hissed at him, but the glare Percy gave her, had her cowering in her throne.
Percy let out a humorless chuckle as he summoned his pentadent and pointed it at Athena, "You the goddess of wisdom, decided in your vast wise ways to turn people to monsters. The monsters who, in turn terrorized your own children for your actions. You decide that Medusa doesn't deserve solace because she seeks out her enemies children to destroy them. Despite doing the same thing yourself. You hate the children of Poseidon, just because of their parentage. You hated me just because of my father. Look around what your pride has done to you. Do you think anyone beside Zeus or Hestia would care for you if something were to happen to you. You made your own enemies Athena no one else. Control your pride while you still have time."
Athena had tears in her eyes as the hard truth was revealed to her. She should have done a better job at trying to control her pride.
Percy turned to Zeus, "You the King of gods are the most pathetic. You despise your father, but act the same as him. For years you have ruled over your fellow gods unjustly. You are not a King you are a Tyrant. You decided that being close to your demigod child hurts when they die, yet you have ignored even your immortal children too. Athena was raised by my brother Triton. Apollo and Artemis were raised by my mother Hestia. Hephaestus, Hermes, and Dionysus think of Poseidon as more of a father than you. Tell me Zeus what have you accomplished as a god.?"
Zeus closed his eyes as he slumped back on his throne. Thinking about how he had failed as a King and a Father. He looked older at that moment, years of immortality catching up to him.
Percy turned to Hera, "You the goddess of marriage, had your own son trapped in a loveless marriage for millennia. How hypocritical is that? Despite being the goddess of family, you threw your own son because he didn't fit on your image of a perfect family. Same thing you did with Hades, ignoring him because he was dark and didn't fit in your perfect family. You drove a kid to madness, that made him slaughter his own family. Just because you can't control your husband."
Hera looked down in shame. Hephaestus and Hades nodded at Percy's word, agreeing wholeheartedly.
Percy turned to Demeter, "You decided to punish the entire world with famine and hunger, because you wanted your daughter back. Punishing countless daughters to death because you couldn't control your own grief."
Demeter had the decency to look ashamed at her actions.
Percy turned to Hades, "You cursed a girl, because of a prophecy she gave. Something surely Kronos would've done. You sent your furies and hellhounds after a little girl, because her father killed your lover and tried to kill your children. What was the fault of Thalia to deserve such fate? You despise Zeus because he tried to hurt your innocent children, but you yourself did the same. How are you any better than Zeus or Kronos?"
Hades flinched at the accusation and looked down in shame. He did wrong to Thalia, and he knew it. Just because Zeus tried to hurt his children, didn't give him the right to hurt an innocent child.
Percy turned to Poseidon, "And you father, you decided to force yourself on a innocent maiden. Just because she rejected your advances. Is that any better than something a monster would do? Just because you have the power does not mean you can do whatever you decide."
Poseidon recoiled at the disgust in his own son's words towards him. He regretted his actions much from that day. That's why he decided to act just, still it didn't repent of his sins.
Percy turned to his mother, his eyes softening a bit, "You might not have harmed someone's directly mother. But you had the power to stop the tyranny and monstrous deeds your brothers did. Yet you did not do anything, because you wanted to keep your family together. You are the most powerful child of Kronos and Rhea, you could've ended Zeus' tyranny anytime. You decided to do nothing, countless lives were lost because of that."
Hestia sobbed as her son told her the truth. She should've ended her brother's unjust rule millennia ago.
Percy turned to Artemis, and spoke in a gentle tone "While I adore you, my love, you did wrong deeds too. You and your hunt have targeted males just because of the crime of some. I assure you I share the notion of fighting against injustice just as much as you, but there are women who have done more monstrous things than men."
Artemis nodded in understanding; she accepted that she had been unjust towards the entire male gender because of a few.
Percy turned to Aphrodite, "You the goddess of love, should know how sacred love is. Yet you continue to play with people's love. You have caused wars because you were bored, and wanted a tragic love story. You saw how hurt your husband was, how in love with you he was at the beginning, but decided to play with him. You may be the goddess of beauty, but you have the ugliest heart I have ever seen."
Aphrodite openly sobbed in her own hands. Knowing what was said was true.
Percy turned to Hermes, "You tried to strike down Annabeth, because she didn't run away with your traitorous son. Grief does things to people, but you should've learned to control yourself after millennia of living."
Hermes looked at Annabeth in apology, who waved his concern away in forgiveness.
Percy turned to Ares, "You are the God of War, you should know the consequence of war. Yet you have tried to start wars just for the sake of bloodshed. You should know no life should be lost without cause."
Ares tried to look unbothered, but his eyes showed shame.
Percy shook his head, "I'm just disappointed in all of you. You are the Gods, people turned to look at you for guidance. However, you are all the ones truly lost. I've done some unforgivable things too, but I acknowledge the monster I am."
The throne room was in complete silence, as everyone thought over the God of Fate's words.
"Meeting adjourned," Percy said, and everyone started flashing out. Leaving only Percy and Athena.
Athena took a deep breath and turned to Percy, "I apologize for my actions towards you Perseus. I realize now how unjust I truly was."
Percy turned to her with a smile, "I did not mean to upset you Athena. I just wanted you to learn your mistakes before it was too late. I do not like seeing you hurt if that is what you are thinking. It hurts me to see you in pain, but it was time for you to see the path you were carving for yourself. Go and rest, you deserve it."
Athena nodded and flashed out, leaving Percy alone.
Percy sighed as he felt how tired he really was. Who knew being a god was this hard.
