Chapter 14
Bacrita Sector
Maxon's Repite CEO Office
Jessi Maxon was talking (at volume) to her son. "Why did a squad of Marines come onto my ship and then shoot and arrest one of my crewmembers" she asked. She had gotten calls about Marines marching through her ship and then a gunshot and an injured crewmember being hauled away.
"Mom that's not what happened. The Marines entered the engine room and then crewmember Agios grabbed a wrench and started to run towards them. They yelled for him to get down and when he didn't comply they shot him in the leg" said Carl Maxon. "It was the craziest thing I have ever scene." That one crewmember decided for no reason to attack a dozen Marines is unusual. "Then even after being shot he kept fighting and screaming about the will of god and destiny. I think that Major Marton is right that we should inspect all areas on the ship. We don't need some STO wannabee or whatever to have left a bomb."
"Shit. Get on it now. I will have all information we have for crewman Agios sent over to the Chiron" said Jessi Maxon. "Let me know if you find anything." Some STO like terrorist organization is nothing to take lightly and her people and family are on this ship. Better safe than sorry.
Chiron Medical
LT. Mark Andros CMO of the Chiron was treating his patient. Mr. Agios seemed almost indifferent to being shot. He was firmly strapped down and calm. The pair of Marines was the XO being overly cautious. "Sir the patient is ready. I must stress that he is a patient and that if he seems to be doing poorly I will need you to stop" said Andros.
"Yes Doc I understand. I just need to ask the patient some questions." Pissing of the ships Doctor is never a good idea even young ones.
"Major I will be here in my office then if you need anything" said Dr. Andros not being shy about keeping the door open.
Ignoring the slight insult from his CMO Major Marton said, "Mr. Agios I would like to ask you a few questions." Seeing an head nod Marton continued "why did you charge at the Marines?"
"All of you are my enemies. It is destiny that the Children of God will surpass their founders" said Agios.
Marton was very surprised. He was expecting a "I wasn't" or "Where's my lawyer." But this monotheist hardcore STO (but even weirder) crap? The STO was basically dead after they contributed to the Cylon War (I guess First Cylon War thought Marton).
"Would you care to explain? Who are the children of god" asked Marton.
"The Children of God are the chosen people. They will destroy the lesser ones who came before with a burning wrath" said Agios.
Marton wanted to make sure he didn't misunderstand. "I want to clarify. Are you saying that the Cylons are the children of god and that you are helping them? That the deaths of over 40 billion people was the will of your god?"
Agios had a slight laugh and answered, "yes however I am not helping them. I am one of Gods Chosen."
"Mr. Agios do you have a brother" said Marton. He showed Agios the pictures of the late Leonard Dyo both before and after getting killed.
"I have many brothers. That versions conscious will be transferred to a new body" said Agios.
"Are you saying that by helping the Cyons you will be reborn" asked Marton.
"I am not helping the Cylons any more than you are helping the humans. I am a Cylon" said Agios. With that Agios busted the restraints and grabbed Marton by the throat. "Do you know understand?"
The Marines both grabbed their weapons "Let him go NOW or we will shoot." Seeing that Agios was slowly choking the Major they took the shot killing the prisoner.

Cylon Resurrection Ship
"Welcome back brother" said a Number 2. "Are you from the Respite" the other Number 2 asked.
"Yes brother I am. Are you from the Ovgigo" said Agios?
"I am brother. I was waiting to see if you would make it" said Dyo. "We are to take a Heavy Raider and report to Number 1."
Author's note. This one was hard for to write. I needed to give the Chiron and it's people at least a little information and also needed to set up the next few chapters. The set up seems very clunky to me but I will go a little bit more into the "why" later. In short though the skinjobs here are naive and lack experience.
STO is "Soldiers of The One". I guess they are bad at acronyms or whatever. In Caprica (the show) they unwittingly started the process that would eventually lead to the First Cylon War. Caprica was cancelled before too many details so I am making some of my own guesses here. The STO probably got smacked down HARD after starting the War and at the same time being "Pro Cylon" wasn't exactly a popular opinion. They and other similar organizations exist in theory but very disorganized and small.
The STO though kept a bit of an "Hollywood Villain" after the Cylon War. If you need a human antagonist make them STO. You can have the actors do whatever you want. And you don't have to pay for expensive Cylon suits for your movie or whatever.
