Hello, everyone, Fox King jm is back and here with a new story for you fans. This is a Naruto and Nioh crossover, and more. I've been playing a lot of Nioh 1 and 2, and I just can stop playing, it's hard but fun. Before we get started, the world will have no real timeline, so it is just a large world fill monsters like RWBY and DBZ. In addition, Naruto will be part Yokai, and part human-like in Nioh 2. Of course, his appearance will be human, you guys will see in the story. And yes, you guys already know how I did things in my story harem wise and such. But I will add some Guardian Spirits myself. XxxxX Prologue: The Blue Eye Samurai with a Guardian Spirit XxxxX
"In this world, there are monsters... There were many monsters in this world, the most powerful of them all, are called Yokai. A man with blonde hair and blue eyes came to this land where the Sunrises, to become strong. He traveled country to country doing odd jobs, slaying monsters. Here, he stays and offers his services to a powerful Daimyo. Many wondered how he was strong enough to slay Yokai. He had a spirit that made him strong, and the knowledge of stones called Amrita, thus giving him the power to slay any monster and defeat any man. The people of the rising Sun called him, Anjin. One day, Anjin heard about a Kitsune roaming in the Far East, locked away in a temple. He thought it was a monster. When Anjin reached the temple, he saw her. Though she was a Kitsune, she looked more human, and she was beautiful. Her name is Yumiko. When they met eyes, they fell in love. Anjin freed Yumiko from her prison and started a new life together. They lived happily for many years and were going to have a child together. It was a boy. The day their son was born, powerful Yokai came to kill them and their son. Anjin fought to the last but met his end. Before they died, Anjin and Yumiko used all their power to save their son. Ever since that day, killing and Yokai have been rising to countless numbers. 15 years later, the boy is living in the high mountains, once again, the Yokai are coming..."
XxxxX Prologue: End XxxxX
CHAPTER 1: NARUTO THE HANYŌ
In the high mountains, there was a small, abounded hut. A boy name is Naruto Uzumaki, was watching his food cook while making some tea.
"Smells good..." Naruto said.
Naruto checked his meat, making sure it is not raw. Naruto is a 15-year-old boy with spiky blonde hair, blue eyes, the traces that he inherited from his father. Naruto had fox whisker marks on each side of his cheeks, which he inherited from his mother.
"It's almost ready," Naruto said.
Of course, blonde hair and blue eyes were not the only things that Naruto inherited from his father. Naruto also inherits all the unique powers of many Yokai thanks to his mother. Saoirse, the Guardian Spirit that his father had, now stands by his side. Saoirse is a Merrow/nymph-like creature with red feathers and uses water. She had been with Naruto all his life. Saoirse appeared next to Naruto's side.
"Naruto, they come..." Saoirse said.
"Yes..." Naruto said.
"H-Help! Help!"
Naruto heard someone calling for help. He stands up on his feet.
"Please, help! I know you are there! You can't leave me out here, please!"
Naruto opened the door, seeing a peasant. Behind him, a Yokai was casing him. It was a Gaki. (Hungry Ghost) It leaps, ready to devour the farmer and anything it comes across.
"No! NO!"
Naruto pulls out a dagger, killing the Gaki. The farmer was shaking, wondering what just happened. He turned to Naruto. Naruto's eyes were glowing with a violet shade, which is a sign of a Hanyō (half-breed). Naruto is part Yokai; his eyes and whisker marks are proof of his lineage.
"M-Monster! You're a monster!"
The farmer ran away. Naruto let out a sigh. He was used to being called a monster. People and even pure-blood Yokai hate half-breeds.
"Are you okay, Naruto?" Saoirse asked.
"I'm okay." Naruto said.
"Death comes for you." Saoirse stated.
"It seems death won't stop following me around." Naruto said.
"What do you wish to do?" Saoirse asked.
"Hmm... I think we overstayed our welcome. It's time for us to move along." Naruto stated.
"I'll be by your side, always, Naruto." Saoirse stated.
"Let's go, Saoirse." Naruto said.
Naruto grabbed his belongings, leaving the hut. The blonde boy traveled down the dirt road. He wondered how the Yokai keep finding him. Most likely, Yokais can sense other Yokai. Whatever it was, Naruto knew that he had to leave as soon as possible.
"So much for dinner…" Naruto thought, walking down the road.
Naruto continued to walk down the road. There, he saw some bandits ahead. The blonde boy frowned. He covered himself with his hoodie. He continued to walk. The bandits smiled, and laughed, seeing Naruto traveling by himself. Naruto walked past the bandits.
"Hey, boy… Where do you think you're going?"
"I'm leaving." Naruto said.
"Where to?"
"Somewhere." Naruto replied.
One of the bandits points their sword at Naruto. Naruto looked at the tip of the blade. The blonde was not scared.
"Say, boy, how much money do you have?"
"I don't have any." Naruto said.
"I see…"
The head bandit looked at Naruto. He sees a dagger that the blonde boy is carrying.
"Boy, give us your blade."
The dagger that Naruto was carrying belong to his mother. Even since he could stand, he used the small sword to slay Yokai. It was something that he held dear.
"Why?" Naruto asked.
"Are you stupid or something? Don't you value your life?"
"You are the ones who are stupid." Naruto said.
"What was tha-…Augh!"
"What was that?!"
"Damn, they're here!" Naruto thought.
"What is that?!"
They were attacked by Yokis, which are Onis that were humans that turned into Yokai. These Yoki are warriors who have sinned, died with shame, wanted revenge, or have a grudge against the living. These Onis unleashed fury on the bandits. Naruto saw his chance to flee. Yes, he is strong and Yokis would not be a problem for him. But he knew if these low-class Yokai are here, there were more powerful from behind. It is not a good idea to fight more than he can handle. Naruto runs.
"Damn, this cannot get any worse!" Naruto said.
Naruto saw the village of Jusanzakura. The village is under attack by men and Yokai. Naruto saw the people being slaughtered. Naruto did not know what to do at his point. The village was done for. The area was overrun by Yokai, and the only way out of Jusanzakura was the gates on the other side, where the cherry blossoms are. If Naruto reaches the gate, he can head north and figure out something later.
Naruto looked from the hill, examining the area. He travels down the dirt road into Jusanzakura. He passed the empty houses of the villages.
"Ugh…" Naruto said.
It was the smell of blood that was making Naruto sick to his stomach. Thanks to his Yokai traces, all of Naruto's senses were beyond any human. His hearing, smelling, he could even see in the darkness. But the most powerful ability of all was that Naruto could absorb the powers and abilities of other Yokai. He didn't know why he had this can of power, but it saved his life countless times. Naruto was about to cross the bridge of Jusanzakura. He senses something powerful coming his way.
Whatever it was, it was coming and coming fast. It bellowed with great force, it blow away some of the houses. Then it appeared. It was a Gozuki. Gozuki is a demon with an ox's head. Gozukis are known Yokais that come from the underworld. It carried a large club, made to crush humans into bloody messes. It noticed Naruto.
"Great…" Naruto said.
Gozuki let out another roar, charging at Naruto. Naruto dodges. He was surprised by how fast the Gozuki is.
"Whoa, it's fast!" Naruto said.
The Gozuki used its club, trying to crush Naruto in one blow. Naruto charges at the Gozuki. He pulled his dagger, slicing at its leg. It let out a roar of pain. Naruto tries to attack the ox monster again, but only to be kicked by the beast.
"Heh, looks like you're not as dumb as I thought," Naruto said.
Gozuki uses his club, trying to land a blow on Naruto. Naruto quickly dodges each hit.
"It seems to become angry easily." Naruto thought.
The Gozuki uses its club to send rubles and rocks towards Naruto.
"Damn!" Naruto said.
Naruto tries to dodge everything, but some of the large sharp rocks cut the blonde hanyō. Naruto grunted, feeling like he was being barraged by arrows. Gozuki saw its chance, charging at Naruto. The Gozuki got Naruto between his horns. It slammed Naruto between the side of the villages' hill. Naruto groans in pain, but thanks to him being a hanyō he could endure the pain. The Gozuki pinned Naruto against the mountainside. Naruto used his dagger, pricing the Gozuki's eye.
The beast released Naruto.
"Let's do this, Saoirse!" Naruto said.
"Yes!" Saoirse said.
Saoirse appeared and she infused herself within Naruto's dagger, transforming into a sword of water. This technique is called "Ikite iru Buki (Living Weapon)." There are humans and a handful of Yokai that can perform this technique where the Spirit of the user fuses itself with any weapon. Naruto was ready to take on the Gozuki.
"Bring it!" Naruto said.
The Gozuki charges at Naruto again. Gozuki slams its club against Naruto, but he blocks it with his weapon. With "Ikite iru Buki", the weapon is 100 times stronger. It even allows the users to perform techniques that only warriors dream of. Naruto lifts his blade and unleashes a wave of water. The Gozuki was puzzled at first, but soon it found itself split in two. Naruto saw that Gozuki is dead. His blade absorbed the power of the Gozuki.
"Let's get out of here," Naruto said.
Naruto made his way out of Jusanzakura. Finally reaching the gates, Naruto heard something. He wondered what it was... The smell of fresh blood was in the air. The sound of cutting flesh. The noise was coming from behind of a large cherry blossom tree. Naruto looked behind the tree to see what was making that noise.
"..."
Naruto looked, seeing a large demon, cutting up humans. It was no ordinary demon; it was a horse demon, Mezuki. Naruto had already slain a Gozuki. Mezuki turned to Naruto. It smelled the blood of his fallen Yokai brother. Mezuki let out a neigh, charging at the blonde.
"Ugh!" Naruto grunted, ready to fight.
The horse demon, steps forward, wanting to cut Naruto into tiny pieces. It charges at Naruto with great speed.
"Damn!" Naruto said, dodging.
Naruto pulls out his sword. Naruto cuts the heel of the Mezuki. The beast lets out a neigh of pain. It used its free arm, smacking Naruto away. Naruto quickly got back on his feet.
"Naruto, focus on your strength," Saoirse said.
"I know," Naruto said.
Naruto readies himself again, the Mezuki charges at him with more speed. Instead of dodging, he charges at the monster. The Mezuki slams his blade towards Naruto. Naruto jumps and continues to run toward the Mezuki while on its blade. Naruto cuts the demon horse's left shoulder. The beast lets out another neigh of rage. The Mezuki smacks Naruto down on the floor. Naruto quickly gets back up on his feet.
"Bring it!" Naruto said.
He charges at the horse demon. The Mezuki slams its blade. Naruto quickly dodged, and counter-attacks. The Mezuki let out another neigh of pain. It used its head, charging at Naruto. Naruto tries to dodge, but the Mezuki's horn priced the blonde hanyō's left side of his abdomen.
"Gugh!" Naruto groaned, spitting up blood.
The Mezuki spins Naruto around. Naruto transformed his arm, breaking the horn off. Naruto jumped and landed on his feet. He removed the large horn from his abdomen.
"Damn it…" Naruto said.
Truth be told, Naruto was still hurt with his fight against Gozuki. It will take some time for his wound to heal. The Mezuki saw its chance and charged at Naruto again. Naruto dodged by the skin of his teeth. He was still in pain, but his wound was slowly healing.
"You bastard…" Naruto said.
Mezuki lifted his right arm. Its arm was gathered dark spiritual energy. Before he knew what was happening, Naruto found himself in a realm between the living and the underworld. It's known as the Yokai realm. It is the trump card of all Yokais. This realm makes all Yokai stronger. The realm also affected humans and hanyōs. Naruto had a hard time breathing.
"What is this?" Naruto said.
The Mezuki's strength was now 10 times stronger. Of course, with strength, it also had faster speed. The Mezuki charged at Naruto. Naruto was about to dodge, but his adornment wound reopened. He coughs up blood. The Mezuki kicks Naruto into the air.
"Damn it!" Naruto said.
Mezuki played with Naruto using speed and slicing up the blonde hanyō. Naruto couldn't keep up with the Mezuki's speed. The Mezuki punched Naruto into the large cherry blossom tree. The Mezuki let out a neigh of triumph, believing the battle is over. Saoirse appeared.
"Naruto! Naruto, are you alright?" Saoirse asked.
Naruto didn't respond. The Mezuki walked towards Naruto to finish off the hanyō. Before the Mezuki could finish off Naruto. It felt something wasn't right. Saoirse felt it as well. Naruto slowly arose on his feet. An ominous aura surrounded Naruto.
Two horns were started to appear on Naruto's head. Naruto's Yokai blood was at a boil. He opened his eyes. His eyes turned into a slight purple, then blood red, as his pupils became that of a fox's. Naruto's canines slightly grew twice their size. They look like the tusk of an Oni. Naruto was no longer himself. Naruto let out a roar of rage. The Mezuki charged at Naruto. Naruto used his brute strength, punching the Mezuki in the face.
"This is bad!" Saoirse thought.
Naruto let out another roar, charging at the Mezuki. Naruto puts his hands together, slamming them both down on the horse demon's head. Naruto grabbed Mezuki's right arm, ripping it off. The Mezuki let out a neigh of pain. Naruto grabbed the Mezuki's sword. From afar, a boy with brown spiky hair was watching the fight between demons.
"This is not looking good…" A boy with spiky hair said, heading towards Naruto.
The blonde let a roar of rage, using the Mezuki's sword against it. The blonde Hanyo sliced the horse demon in half with great strength. The Mezuki let out a neigh of pain, falling to the blonde half-breed. Naruto smiled, as his bloodlust continued to grow.
His arm was transforming and priced the chest of the Mezuki. His arm was absorbing the power and the soul of the Mezuki. After taking the horse demon's power, Naruto let out another roar. Mindless, Naruto slices up the nearby cherry blossom tree. A boy with brown spiky hair saw Naruto, rampaging. Naruto tried to attack him, but he quickly dodged out of the way.
"Whoa there!"
Naruto's inner human was trying to control his power. The brown hair boy saw his chance. He pulled out a large stone, and somehow, Naruto turned back into his old self. His rage was gone. The blonde teen found himself on his knees, breathing heavily. He looked up, seeing the person who calmed his rage. The brown hair boy smiled, and a Guardian Spirit popped up in on his right shoulder. It was a cross between a dog and a cat; it was a plump creature with a small horn on his head.
"That was a close one. You, okay?" The boy asked, helping Naruto up.
"Yes..." Naruto said.
"Name's Sora. And you?" Sora asked.
"Naruto Uzumaki," Naruto replied.
"Naruto Uzumaki, huh...? Well, it is nice to meet you. I stop by this town to stay the night, but Yokai overran it." Sora said.
"Yeah, I know," Naruto said.
"So, are you part Yokai?" Sora asked.
"Yes," Naruto said.
Sora looked at Naruto.
"You don't look it. Of course, my partners are also part Yokai." Sora said.
Naruto was surprised at Sora's statement.
"Partners? You know other hanyōs?" Naruto asked.
"That's right. We hunt down powerful Yokai and fought of bandits that invade villages." Sora stated.
Sora's Spirit pops out again, letting out a mix between a bark and a meow. Saoirse appears by Naruto's side.
"So that's your Guardian Spirit, huh?" Sora said.
Once again, Naruto is surprised by Sora.
"Wait, you can see Saoirse-nee?" Naruto said.
"Of course, I can. And something tells me you can see my Guardian, too." Sora said.
"Yeah," Naruto replied.
Sora's Spirit leaps towards Naruto.
Sora's POV:
"Since I was a boy, I always wanted to be strong like my friend. And to be strong for the girl I love. We departed ways. I train to be an Onmyo and learn many spells. I became stronger. About a year ago, I found this stone. Moreover, this little guy became my Guardian Spirit. When I fought against Yokai, I noticed I have become even stronger. From at day forward, I used my strength to help those who are in need. However, I knew I could not do this alone. I met other hanyōs, like you. Together we fight against men and Yokai alike. We always have seen much evil where no matter where we go. You are a Yokai that slays its own kind, but when I met your eyes, I can see the soul within you is human. With people like us, I know we can change this world for the better."
Sora's POV: End
Naruto saw Sora's Spirit by his side now.
"Heh, he seems to take a liking to you," Sora stated.
"Yeah. What's his name?" Naruto said.
"His name is Nenu. What's your Spirit's name?" Sora asked.
"Saoirse," Naruto said.
"It's nice to meet you, Saoirse," Sora said.
"Likewise." Saoirse said.
"So... Um, I know we just met and all, but do you have a plan?" Sora asked.
"I was planning to move north." Naruto said.
"Would you like to come with me?" Sora asked.
"..."
Naruto was dumbfounded. For as long as he could remember, he was always hated due to being a hanyō. Naruto always moves from place to place, not staying long enough. He always believed there was no place for him. He believed that he would never have friends or have a family of his own. Saoirse was his only friend and family.
"Umm, I don't think that's a good idea. Besides, I believe Yokai will keep following me around." Naruto said.
"So what? You are strong. I am sure we can handle any Yokai." Sora said.
"..."
"And I also believe that those stones can help too." Sora said.
Naruto looks at the stone, seeing its pure golden glow.
"Amrita?" Naruto asked.
"Yeah. You know about Amrita?" Sora asked.
"Yes. Stories say that Amrita comes from the souls of ancient spirits from tales that manifested into stones, long ago. To be honest, our history does not tell us much about where Amrita comes from." Naruto said.
"And you know what happens when they are used?" Sora asked.
"I do. People say that Amrita has the power to grant wishes. However, I know if used in the wrong hands. Evil Yokai and evil men can increase their power 100-fold with just a small piece of Amrita." Naruto stated.
"That's right. That is why we collect these small stones so they can't be used for evil. So, what is your answer? Will you join me?" Sora asked.
Naruto had nowhere else to be, nor a place to call home. She, he made his decision.
"All right, I'll join you," Naruto said.
"Shall we get going then?" Sora asked.
"Where are we going?" Naruto asked.
"I heard there are some Yokai and Rouges making trouble for villagers near around this region. That's where we are meeting my teammates." Sora stated.
"Sounds like a plan." Naruto replied.
"I also heard that there is a powerful Yokai there. And a bunch of Amrita as well." Sora stated.
"I see." Naruto said.
"Let's show the doubters that commoners and hanyōs can change the world for the better." Sora said.
"That sounds like a big goal." Naruto said.
"It sure is." Sora said.
"Right. While we travel together, I would like to know more about Amrita and these Yokai." Naruto said.
"Sounds good. So, shall we get going?" Sora asked.
"Yeah." Naruto said.
"North it is." Sora said.
Naruto and Sora headed north. Naruto did not know what lay beyond this world. However, Naruto knew he must travel down this path to learn more about the world and its secrets and to learn more about himself.
