A/N: Here is the next chapter. Sorry, it's later than I wanted to post but I have been way too busy to sit and write. Wish me luck on the next chapter - which I will try to upload quickly!

One week before Yumi's birthday

"Damn, sis, that dress is stunning. Where on earth did you get it from?" Karuma asked as she circled the dress hanging from Naruto's closet.

Naruto looked up from her laptop. There was only a week left before the big day, and it was causing her more sleepless nights than she'd like to admit. "It's a custom-made dress from Tom Ford."

Karuma rolled her eyes, "I know that. I can read a label, but where did you get it from? It's not like you to drop a couple hundred grand on a dress, especially for a birthday celebration disguised as a charity function."

Naruto winced at the price. It made no sense to her why a dress should cost that much. Yes, the dress was breathtaking, but the money could have been put to much better use.

Flashback

Naruto opened the large box, gasping as she looked at the dress in Infront of her. There were no words to describe how beautiful it was. She slowly picked up the dress; it was made entirely in rose-gold sequence, under the right light, it almost passed as an iridescent white. It was an A-line Tom Ford gown with a V-neck, a sleeveless bodice and an open back. Turning the dress around, Naruto realized that the back wasn't actually backless as she initially thought. Instead, it had thin straps and triangular-shaped cut-out detail. Taking hold of the dress, Naruto walked over to her full-length mirror. The dress's skirt draped down beautifully; it wasn't too voluminous, rather just enough that it would emphasize her curves flowing with her as she moved. In contrast, her skirt had an airy feel and fit.

Naruto hung the dress in her closet as she admired it some more before looking back inside the box. It looked like a dress made for a mafia bosses' wife. Yup, she was rereading too many YA novels. There was a note.

"Once I saw this dress, I knew it could only belong to you. While I am disappointed to not get a personal invite, I do not deter easily. Rather I just get even. Wear this dress to Yumi's Ball – imagine it to be a shield of the armour of sorts."

~ I. U.

The note was ominous at best. Who knew he was up to now; there was never telling with him? Itachi Uchiha was a pretty close friend and mentor. However, she also knew he was a mastermind of sorts. There was a reason he was the heir to the Uchiha family – and a prodigy. There was no one like him, and everyone knew it.

Growing up with the Uchiha's bring your family friends, Naruto knew full well that Itachi was up to something. He had stated as much in his text, and now note … however, what it could be … only the devil knew. There was a reason she called him Lucifer.

End Flashback

"Lucifer sent it over as a gift. I couldn't exactly say no to him, especially since he took it as a personal offence seeing I didn't personally invite him to the party."

Karuma raised her brows. "Didn't dad call his family and personally invite them?"

Naruto nodded, "Obviously! But you know how he is."

Karuma nodded, understanding. "Well," she said as she brushed her hand over the dress, "I'm taking this dress from you after the party. Saves me time from searching for a prom dress."

This time Naruto raised her brows. "You're planning on re-wearing a dress I wore to prom? That too, which costs a couple hundred grand?"

Laughing, Karuma replied, "Course not, I'm going to tailor it to fit my aesthetic. Take the form of your banded waistline and change the flowy skirt so it will be more sinched, more like a mermaid cut, and perhaps add a knee-length slit. You think dad and the goons would let me get away with a mid-thigh slit?"

"Absolutely not!"

Karuma nodded, already knowing the answer. "Well, I'll figure it out. It's only September. I have until March. So can I take it?"

"Be my guest."

Squealing, Karuma ran over to where Naruto was sitting and attempted to squeeze the life from her. "Thank you, thank you!"

Rolling her eyes, Naruto peeled the tentacle arms off her bodice. "How's the guest list coming? I saw that you were able to the party trending on Twitter."

Karuma let her sister and plopped herself, "Thank you, it was hard work, I tell you. I mean, have you tried to get a toddler's one-year birthday party trending. Kylie herself tried and failed for her daughter, and you know how famous Stormi is."

Naruto gave her sister a black stare. Karuma rolled her eyes. "Honestly, women, Stormi, her child."

"Whose child?"

Karuma sighed; sometimes, she forgot that her family tended to live under a rock. "Never mind, but good news, Gaara Sabakuand his family are coming."

Naruto sighed, "Great! Not only do we have Mr. I'm an emo ass bitch, and Mr. Inappropriate comments attending, but add Mr. Anti-social to the mix. Seriously Karuma, couldn't you get some decent man?"

Rolling her eyes, Karuma asked, "And who exactly would you like for me to invite, dear sister of mine. Not only are they the most popular available men right now, not to mention attractive, but they create a lot of traffic wherever they do. Plus, it would have been an insult for us to not invite them. Bad for business."

Arching her back, Naruto got up to stretch her arms and back. "Why couldn't you invite people like McDreamy or McSteamy? Hell, I'd settle for McVet right now."

Karuma grinned. "I'd do McVet any day of the week, but personally, I'd rather do all three of them at once."

Laughing, Naruto nodded her head in agreement.

"You know," Karuma said with a hidden glint in her eyes, "Itachi is even better than McDreamy and McSteamy. He looks like he'd go faster and harder if you told him to slow down."

"KARUMA!" Naruto squealed, blushing red! "Th-that's so inappropriate!"

Karuma giggled. "Oh, come on, Naru! We have eyes, and he is one fine-looking specimen. Remember this summer when we went over to the Uchiha's for brunch, and Itachi walked out of the pool. I swear I had a mini orgasm right there!"

Growing Naruto grabbed a pillow off her bed and smacked her younger sister. Yes, Itachi Uchiha was a fine young man, but she did not want to think about him in that context. Again! Not that she'd ever admit to her sister that she fantasized about Itachi or any Uchiha for the matter before.

Laughing, Karuma squirmed her arms to Naruto's waist and tickled her back as revenge.

Two days before the birthday

"Tell me again who you're bringing as a date?" Karuma asked as she rolled the dice. It was family game night at the Namikaze house, and most of them were playing Snakes and Ladders. Kakashi had decided he'd rather read smut novels while lounging on the couch. Since her grandparents were over, Minato, Kashina and Tsunade were discussing something. At the same time, her grandfather, Jiraiya, joined her, Karuma and Rin for a game of Snakes and Ladders. Iruka had taken Yumi upstairs to put her down for the night.

"For the last time," Naruto sighed, "I'm not bringing anyone. Unless Gai is free?" Naruto raised her brows, looking at Kakashi.

"Absolutely not!" was all he said before going back to his novel.

Rin snickered. "Aww, why not, Babe. He's your best friend. I think he'd make a great partner for Naruto."

Minato snorted while Kakashi chose not to respond.

"Not to worry," Karuma said, playing along, "He R.S.V. . He'll be at the party; you have plenty of time to seduce him."

Gaffing, Jiraiya joined the fun. "You know what they say about men with big feet, and Gai had huge ones. So I'd say go for Naruto."

"DAD!" "JIRAIYA!" shouted both Minato and Tsunade.

Naruto just shook her head as she moved her piece, letting out a breath of relief as she narrowly missed the snake's head. Kakashi looked over and glared at his wife and sister, "Karuma, perhaps we should be asking whom you're bringing as a date since you seem way too invested in Naruto's date."

Karuma shrugged her, and in a very nonchalant manner, replied, "My dates Choji."

The room went dead silent as everyone looked at Karuma. "I'm sorry," Kashina said, looking at her daughter, "You're taking who again? I think I missed heard."

Karuma rolled the dice as she replied, "Choji."

"Hold up," Tsunade stated, "Choji as in Choji Akimichi? One of the nurses working at my branch hospitals?"

Rolling her eyes, Karuma stated, "Nope, I mean Choji, the butterfly ninja in that anime show."

"Excuse me, can we get back to how my underage daughter is taking a man who's in his mid-twenties?" Kashina retorted.

Sighting, Naruto stepped in, "Relax, mom, he's twenty-two and a perfect gentleman. He's the last person you need to worry about. I'd be worried if Karuma's date was one of her classmates."

Nodding, Minato rubbed Kashina's back. "I've met the young men a few times. He's one of Shika's childhood friend's honey. Comes from a wonderful family. I don't think we have anything to be worried about. You've met his mother, remember, you liked them. Plus, it's her date to a family event where Karu will be surrounded by friends and family."

Huffing, Kashina turned to Naruto. "Sweetie, you better keep an eye out on your sister. I still don't trust a man who accepts a date from an underage girl."

Naruto raised her eyebrows at her mother, "So it's okay if Itachi offers to be my date to prom, where we would have been surrounded by hormonal teenagers dry humping, but it's not okay for Karuma to take a perfectly respectable friend to Yumi's birthday ball as her date?

"Thanks, sis!" Karuma said, giving her a high five.

"Naruto," Kashina groaned, rubbing her temples.

Laughing, Jiraiya moved his piece across the board, effectively winning the game. "The girls got the point, Kashina. I don't trust Uchina's with a ten-foot pole.

Kashina looked her Minato, who shook his head; he was not getting into the middle of this conversation. "Itachi is a perfect gentleman, father. And he was joking – you know, Naruto and Shikamaru skipped prom with a few of their friends and went to the cabin resort. Had she gone, you know very well Minato would have offered to one of the chaperones, while Kakashi and Iruka would have snuck in to make sure nothing unorthodox was taking place."

"Word, mother!" Kakashi stated, giving her a thumbs-up before going back to his book.

Karuma looked at Naruto, "Seriously?"

Nodding, Naruto replied, "Why do you think I skipped it? Shika was going to skip it anyway 'cause it was too troublesome and had I gone, I would have had a dad, and two goons follow me around. So it sucked because I had to turn down Gon, who by the way was one of the most popular boys and crazy hot, but the cabin trip was worth it."

"Who's Gon?"

Everyone turned around to see Iruka, who had finally come done from putting Yuki to bed.

"Did she go down easy?" Rin asked?

"Yes, after reading Goodnight Moon seven times and singing a few songs, she knocked right out," Iruka replied, plopping on top of Kakashi's foot, which was stretched across the couch.

Kakashi glared as he removed his foot and placed it right on Iruka's shoulders. "You're in my spot," he stated.

Pinching Kakashi's calves, Iruka removed from his shoulders. "Perhaps you shouldn't take up the space of four people, and people won't sit on you."

Giving Iruka a swift quick on his stomach, Kakashi retorted, "I don't mind Rin sitting on me. Move your fat ass off the couch, please."

Shoving Kakashi's foot as he tried to kick him again, Iruka muttered, "Oh, I'm sure she does more than sit on you."

"Ahem, boys!"

Kakashi and Iruka froze, forgetting momentarily that they were surrounded by their parents and grandparents.

"Sorry, dad." They muttered unanimously. Minato and Kashina rolled their eyes; Tsunade shook her head while Jiraiya gave Kakashi a lascivious smile. "Tell me, son, in what ways does lovely Rin sit on you? I could use new materials for my new novel."

"DAD!" "FATHER!" "JIRAIYA!" shouted both Minato, Kashina and Tsunade while Rin had a slight blush going across her cheeks.

"Tell me again why I married into this family?" she asked Naruto.

"Honestly, I don't know – but I'm glad you did. You're the normality we crave!" Naruto replied, laughing, joined by Karuma and others. All talk of the ball forgetting as they launched into a new game, charades.
