Here's where we left off with Kathryn and Chakotay on New Earth as they prepare for the birth of their twins. Voyager is back in the Alpha Quadrant. Her ship and crew are continuing with their adventures only much closer to home. Now it is time to teach the next generation about having a Sickbay Buddy. Set after Lineage in season 7, a shuttle accident injures Captain Janeway and a newly pregnant B'Elanna. I got this idea from the Deep Space Nine episode where Kira takes on Keiko O'Brien's pregnancy, but just gave it a Voyager twist. I really hope you like it!

When Esther goes for a walk with her dog Max, she witnesses the crash of a small plane. At least that's what she believes, until she approaches the crash site and discovers that the plane isn't one and the injured pilot is still alive. As the only other person on the scene, she is unable to reconcile not helping him. That decision has far-reaching consequences...

While on shore leave Chakotay experiences an unpleasant bug bite. This leads to an embarrassing and awkward misunderstanding in Sickbay and then an important conversation. In the end he and Kathryn make an important decision regarding their relationship. This is part of my Sickbay Buddy series but I promise you can read it as a stand alone if you want.

Set just at the end of the season one episode The Cloud - something happens to Kathryn that no one, herself included, was expecting. How will she handle it? A malfunction on the Holodeck hinders Captain Janeway's evening.

Kathryn is severely injured on an away mission. Chakotay and the Doctor are on hand to take care of her when she finally makes it home. As they work she occasionally wakes up hurting and confused.
