I DON'T OWN ANYTHING NARUTO, MCU, OR MSG.

It was nearing 11:00 when a beam of sunlight finally broke through the bedroom window of none other than Naruto Uzumaki. Outside the busy downtown streets of Washington DC were filled with people moving about their day with errands and work or tourists making their way through the nation's capital while sightseeing. On any other day of the week, you would have found Naruto fully dressed having already completed his morning workout and making his way towards SHIELD HQ at the Triskelion building before most people were waking up for breakfast. but that was not today because Sunday meant it was his day off.

With a light yarn and a quick stretch of his body, Naruto hopped out of bed and began to slowly make his way through his luxury apartment provided to him by SHIELD. It was located on the 9th floor of a very high-end housing complex and has been a present for his eighteenth birthday courtesy of Shield and the US government. The whole thing was easily three the size of his old apartment back in the hidden leaf village and ten times is nice. a large king-sized, the softest sheets and pillow money could buy, his floors were made of hardwood and the countertops marble. His bathtub could be considered a small pool. At first, Naruto had insisted that this was all way too much but after being convinced by Natasha and Clint. a little luxury was a fair price for him risking his life.

Being his day off, Naruto decided on forgoing his usual routine of early morning workouts at the indoor gym in his building provided. instead, he decided on a long shower before getting dressed after he would have his usual breakfast. once that was all done and with no real plan, he maybe would long about before going out to the city. showered and dressed, in an orange t-shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

Naruto was currently sitting down at the small breakfast table in his kitchen with a glass of milk, a glass of orange juice, a cup of ramen, and a few protein bars. the milk and juice he didn't mind but the protein bars he only ate because he has been ordered to by the SHIELD doctors claiming his body needed its proper nutrients. this was something Naruto could debate seeing that he spent most of his whole life eating ramen.

Quickly and forcefully scarfing down the two protein bars he washed the taste out of his mouth with the orange juice before picking up his chopsticks and getting down to his real breakfast. turning on the large TV in his living room which was visible from his small table. he started to flip through the channels hoping to find something good to watch. Sunday morning television was typically the dullest thing in the world with political news shows and lame sports like golf.

However today something was interesting on the news for once. although being a SHIELD agent keeping an eye on the news was part of the job, Sunday morning political talk shows we're not up to SHIELD standards. no instead today some kind of big press conference was going on that had something to do with the CEO of Stark Industries. Naruto remembers how a few months ago the man had been seemingly kidnapped while in Afghanistan and how he had somehow freed himself.

Everyone at SHIELD with level 6 clearance and up knew something was fishy with the whole situation, Naruto being one of them. however Director Fury aka Big Boss to Naruto. Seeing as agent Coulson usually called him that, Naruto had decided to throw in his two cents to the nickname pool. Fury had decided to put agent Coulson up to the task of approaching the billionaire playboy genius and debriefing him on the circumstances of his miraculous escape and the strange flying anomaly they had monitored coming and going from his Malibu residence.

As the press conference begin and Tony began to read off a prepared speech something very interesting caught Naruto's eye on the bottom of the screen where a newsreel graphic was running various new headlines while simultaneously broadcasting the interview. it wasn't any of the information the graphic was showing that caused Naruto to stop what he was about to do. no the thing that caught his attention was the day's date.

"Another year," Naruto muttered to himself when he finally realized what today was. today marked the second anniversary of his sudden arrival on Earth. shutting off his TV and putting his chopsticks down Naruto took a moment to look around his apartment out the window at the busy city he lived in. When had 21st-century life become the new norm for him. had it been this easy for him to adjust and move on with his life.

It had only taken him one year to become fully adjusted and accepting of his new permanent life on planet Earth. at first, it had been a hard pill to swallow those beginning few months. mainly because he kept on waking up every day hoping for some sign that everyone was all right, that they were looking for him, that they knew he was alive. had it not been for Natasha and Clint he might have fallen into a deep depression over the whole thing.

Speaking of SHIELD another thing that had occurred over the last two years was Naruto's rising star in the government organization. taking Natasha's words to heart and fighting for what he believed in Naruto swore to himself as one of the last few remaining Konoha shinobi he would keep the will of fire burning strong. so he threw himself into his SHIELD training and within ten months he had to learn the tricks of the trade as Clint would call them.

Close quarter combat or CQC, firearm training, vehicle operation both civilian and military, infiltration, subterfuge, demolition, espionage, interrogation, assassination, assimilation, first aid, hacking, seduction, surveillance... ext. thanks to his healing ability, plus the skills he had acquired in his previous occupation and his unwavering determination, Naruto very easily and very quickly found himself fitting right in at SHIELD. the praise and adoration from some of his coworkers had been a welcome change from what he grew up with but that had not only been the only good thing to happen to him during his childhood.

Another amazing thing that happened to him occurred after six months since he had arrived on Earth. Naruto had discovered his chakra had returned to him, all be it and not the way he had expected. It all started one day when he had just finished being administered a various number of tests at the shield medical wing.

"So Doc am I cleared for active duty," Naruto asked the spectacled man in the lab coat sitting in front of him with the current test results of his latest batch of medical examinations in hand. currently but now 17-year-old blonde along with Maria Hill who had now become his SHIELD handler till Fury deemed him ready to go solo. we're currently sitting in front of the shield doctor's desk inside his office.

"I'd like to run some more extensive tests but from these results alone I'd say physically you are more than capable to commence field operations." at the doctor's words Naruto couldn't help but pump his face in the air in excitement

"Yes finally no more in having Natasha and Clint babysit me." however before Naruto jumped up from his seat and deliver the good news to his two friends Maria Hill cut him off.

"What do you mean there are more tests you want to run doctor, what exactly did you find." ever the studious agent Maria Hill proved she was Nick Fury's second in command that she had quickly picked up what the doctor had said.

"That's just it agent Hill, agent Uzumaki's anatomy far surpasses that of any human being alive today." Doc began to say excitedly, and at Naruto's confused face and Maria Hill's prompting, he continued with his explanation.

"appearance-wise apart from his whiskered cheeks which I have been told are unique to agent Uzumaki." the doctor quickly said as he doubled check his medical file." his anatomy despite being vastly similar to homo-sapiens has some very unique and extraordinary differences. his blood cells can carry twice the amount of oxygen as ours can his bone density is roughly four times greater yet their weight is a third of ours. He has a superhuman healing, speed, strength, denser muscle tissue a second circulatory system. In laymen's terms, agent Uzumaki is a natural-born super-soldier. even the smoking habits he has picked up from some of the more seasoned agents doesn't seem to affect his body in any negative way we can see." Once the doctor finished Naruto couldn't help a wide toothy grin spread across his face.

"I always know I was awesome." the blond teen said proudly as he puffed out his chest a bit. not only was he glad to hear how amazing his body was but now Natasha and Hill couldn't test him anymore about his smoking. However, Maria Hill was deep in thought about something.

"What does this second circulatory system do exactly," Hill asked after a moment. at this, the doctor deflated a bit in his excitement.

"ah, yes...well we're not sure about it ourselves, you see it doesn't carry blood or any other type of bodily fluid." at this both adults turn to the blonde expecting me to wait for him to inform them of what this meant. not realizing that however Naruto just stared back and forth at them.

"what?" he said lamely, at this Maria Hill let out a small frustrated sigh.

"Second circulatory system in your body what is it for," she clarified and at this, the doctor picked up waiting to hear the answer. momentarily Naruto was silent and he brought his hand up to rest under his chin as he thought.

"right that's how chakra goes through my body," Naruto informed him having remembered what Sakura and Kakashi had told him on their mission to Wave.

"chakra?" the doctor questioned in disbelief." you mean that Eastern belief about body energies."

"well I don't know about here but what I'm from chakra is just the energy made up by someone's physical and mental ability, everybody has it from the day they're born and trained to use it as ninjas can you can use it to perform powerful Jutsu." and very quickly Naruto explained and a bit more detail everything you could remember about chakra.

"Is there any way you could perform some of these jutsus these hand signs you spoke of?" Doc asked. already knowing that he couldn't perform jutsus anymore, Naruto didn't see the harm and showed them how he normally would.

"sure I can show you how but I haven't been able to use any of my jutsus coming to Earth." bring me his hands forward Naruto performs his signature crossed finger hand sign the last time having been seven months ago. focusing with all his might he called forward his move.

"Shadow clone jutsu"

although Naruto had kept his eyes closed during the attempt Maria Hill and the doctor had watched on unblinkingly at everything the blonde was doing. which was a good thing that they did because unlike Naruto they had been able to pick up the faintest blue glow coming from his hands. however, the next thing that happened was even more unexpected as Naruto seemingly collapsed in his chair and fell onto the floor unconscious. a few weeks later when he finally woke up lying in a hospital bed. he would be informed by Hill said he had been in a coma for the past three weeks. is that hadn't been enough he was also chewed out by Natasha for doing something stupid in her opinion.

From that day forward Naruto began to meditate and enter his subconscious mindscape trying to find his chakra once again. he even went so far as to seek out the nine-tailed fox for help, however, all he found was darkness on the other side of the cage. at first, he had feared the demon had somehow escaped, but once he saw that the seal was still intact and the fact that he was alive Naruto knew that was not the case. but why it remains in the dark and refused to answer him he couldn't say and after a month straight of entering his mind and pestering with no reply he had finally given up on that avenue.

all that had mattered was that his chakra had returned albeit incredibly low. he couldn't perform any jutsu the most he could do was focus it to the souls of his feet long enough for tree walking and water walking. but even with those two most basic Shinobi skills, it put Naruto in a whole other league compared to normal humans. he was already super-fast, a super-strong super, secret agent who could walk on any surface including water.

It was not long after his first anniversary of coming to Earth not that things began to pick up and change for Naruto. the biggest of these changes was when director Fury decided he was ready for his first solo mission.

"You wanted to see me Big Boss," Naruto called out once you had answered the shield director's office unannounced. however. if Fury was bothered by this Naruto could not tell as the back of the man's chair was facing the front door of his office while the director looked out the window.

"Have a seat," Fury said while he continued to look out the window. realizing the seriousness of the situation Naruto did just that and took a seat across from the man. after this he finally noticed the file sitting atop the desk facing him. giving it a quick once over the blonde saw that it was about him.

"Go ahead and take a look at that," Fury spoke finally turning away from the window to face him. not being able to get a read off of Fury's emotionless face Naruto instead took the file in his hand and began to go through it. it was the personnel file shield had on him, the first few pages were all the fake identification documents shield had made for him. birth certificates, an altered medical record, records of school, work history, bank account... ext. moving on past that he came to his SHIELD training scores and evaluations, as well as his psych evaluation.

"Agent Uzumaki appears to become well-adjusted and has easily assimilated himself into its organizational structure showing high aptitude in his training."

"that's good right," Naruto ass looking up from the file but at Nick's prompting, he continued to read on.

"however agent Uzumaki at times still shows insubordination and immaturity. could be possible signs of ADHD. it is my opinion that further monitoring and training is needed before agent Uzumaki is to be permitted to participate in independent fieldwork."

after he finished reading the report Naruto had become a bit angry and had it not been for history one year ago he would have easily blown up over the whole thing. However, after the things he had experienced and the training he had received he knew acting without thinking on impulse only got him into more trouble just like it did with Pain. seeing his youngest agents able to keep his emotions in check Fury gave a nod of approval.

"Despite everything that reports say is true I've been keeping my eye On you. Uzumaki, head down to level five agent Hill will be waiting for you with the mission briefing." Fury finished a small smirk at the shop look of surprise that had dawned on Naruto's face.

"Are you saying I'm finally ready to go solo Fury?" Naruto ask trying to make sure he had heard the director correctly.

"Shield's not here to babysit we're here to make the world a safe place it's about time you started doing the real job." Fury said.

before Naruto can think any more about it his thoughts were interrupted when his cell phone began to ring. stepping away from his table you walk over to the small coffee table center of his living room that was in front of his couch where he had left his phone the previous night when he had returned home. picking up the phone and taking a look at who was calling him Naruto quickly answered when he realized it worked.

"What's going on boss lady," Naruto spoke cheerfully once you had answered the phone and brought it up to his ear.

"agent Uzumaki we need you to come in immediately," Maria Hill's voice came in through the other side of the line. as serious as always the second in command to Fury did not respond to the blonde's nickname for her.

"on my way, I'll be there in twenty," Naruto said as he fell into his professional mode, something that Hill, Natasha, and Clint drilled into his head.

"We have transport picking you up to be downstairs in two minutes." with that the call ended, grateful that he had already showered and changed Naruto pocketed his cell phone and quickly ran back into his room gathering his wallet and house keys before making his way to the front door.

"Oops, almost forgot you," Naruto quickly called out as ran across his apartment and grabbed his untouched cup of ramen. breakfast in hand he left his apartment locking the door behind him and making his way towards the elevator at the end of the hall. by the time Naruto reach the lobby he had finished the cup of noodles depositing the empty cup in a trash can near the elevator before making his way out onto the main street in front of his building, where a black SUV with dark tinted windows in a government plate was already waiting for him.

It only took five minutes for Naruto's transport to reach the Triskelion, heading towards the main elevator after he had been dropped off in the building's garage. stepping out of the elevator he was in the main entranceway of the building where he could see many shield agents moving about their busy day completing their work tasks. walking up to the front desk Naruto flashed the security guards his SHIELD badge allowing him to bypass the metal detector scan before he began to make his way towards the main elevators to the rest of the building.

along the way he received a few casual nods and waves from those he knew were working today once Naruto pressed the button and called down his elevator he wasn't surprised to find agent Hill standing inside already waiting for him. Already in full uniform, a digital pad in hand furies second in command as professional as ever gave him a short nod as he stepped into the elevator.

"So what's the situation," Naruto asked as Hill passed him the tablet, quickly Naruto began to read through it going through the day's newest Intel.

"three days ago are US nuclear disposal site located in Alaska went dark," by this point Naruto had landed on that piece of intel on the pad.

"Shadow Moses Island" he read aloud.

"a secret nuclear disposal site located in the fox archipelago. due to the extreme weather of the area, it's not uncommon for communications to go down hours or days at a time." Maria Hill explained as Naruto continue to read down the report. the island was pretty close to the Arctic circle isolated below freezing temperatures seems the right place for the disposal site.

"then what's so special this time that SHIELD needs to get involved, did a couple of old geezers from Washington get stuck up there or something," Naruto asked chuckling a little bit at his joke. however, he quickly shut his mouth with a serious expression. not long after they had set foot out of the elevator and began to walk through the sixth floor of the Triskelion building where shield conducted and monitored its field operations. Naruto continue to read through the report stop when the image of Revolver Ocelot appeared on the screen.

the last time he had encountered the old Russian cowboy had been during his first solo mission. he had to infiltrate a tanker. Fury had gotten an intelligence report that something might have going down. never want to leave anything to change but the director thought it would be a good idea to send Naruto to infiltrate and invest. the whole thing had quickly gone sideways not long after Naruto made it aboard this ship. looking up from the path to ask him what was going on he had to quickly run up to catch up to her to see if she had continued to walk down the hall while he remains still looking at the photo.

following the woman through the main doors at the end of the hall, they were now inside the largest of the operations rooms all around them where workstations and computers filled with SHIELD agents were busy and working at the far end of the law office a large monitor made up of several smaller monitors explain various images of countless events happening all over the world at once.

"One hour ago should receive this message." turning to look at the closest agent working a computer station agent Hill, signaled them with a nod of her head. Naruto watched as the large screen filled with many images on the screens turned from black to a grainy image of what appeared to be the inside of some kind of Warehouse if Naruto had to guess.

"You have 24 hours to deliver the Tesseract or we will launch a nuclear warhead at a major US city"

Naruto couldn't see the speaker as whoever operating the camera turned it so that they could see a warhead being loaded into a missile launcher. however, there was no doubt in Naruto's mind that he had just heard Revolver Ocelot speaking. after that the message was cut off.

"How serious is this?" Naruto asked as he looked over at agent Hill. being a level 6 security clearance shield agent Naruto was well aware of the tesseracts' existence and SHIELD's current safekeeping of the strange Hydra weapon. as far as he knew the thing was locked away in some shield vault.

"We're currently trying to analyze the footage but as of this moment we're considering this viable threat." agent Hill said as images of various types of warheads as well as a still shot from that the video Naruto had just seen was brought up onto the screen to be compared side by side.

"also satellite imaging has picked up dozens of heat signatures throughout the installation," and once again the screen mirror the information Naruto was just told.

"any word on hostages," Naruto asked with a bit more concern not willing to put it past ocelot to do something like that.

"negative records are showing that a crew swap I've been scheduled to take place a few days ago as of right now we're working on the assumption that the actual crew never made it in and that's how they were able to infiltrate the installation so quickly. at this Naruto gave us a relief whatever his mission was this would make it easier.

"besides Ocelot do we know of any other parties involved?" Naruto asked as he moved through the information on his pad.

"using the audio from the video we were able to determine that Revolver Ocelot is present at Shadow Moses and based on this next image we can assume he has a private army working on him." agent Hill stated and looking up to the main screen Naruto was stunned to see a slightly blurred satellite image of someone standing on the roof of one of the buildings, their head looking up almost as if they knew they were being watched.

"Olga," Naruto muttered to himself as he swallowed a lump in his throat. his reaction unseen by most in the room did not go unnoticed by Hill. seeing that the Russian woman was still alive Naruto did not know how to feel about the whole situation. when they had last seen each other have been locked hand in hand and a fight to the death on the top deck of that tanker one year ago.

the Hudson River...one year shield had just picked up some unconfirmed intelligence about a possible weapons deal happening aboard an oil tanker. the whole thing stunk for Fury was never one to leave anything to chance. so it has been decided that this would be Naruto's first solo field operation. infiltrate the tanker undetected assess the situation and if need be stop any possible arms deal from taking place and eliminate all parties involved.

currently, Naruto was walking along the George Washington Bridge, New York. it was close to midnight I'm lucky for him there was a thunderstorm, which meant that all the cars zoom by at high speeds fail to notice someone in a long, black raincoat. however, underneath that raincoat, the blonde was dressed in his mission suit. similar to the rest of shield he was dressed in a black one-piece jumpsuit. the main difference was his being the dark gray shin and armed guards he wore as well as a thin best with a chest plate stopping a few inches above his abdomen in the same gray color. instead of the standard 9 mm sidearm, he chose to use the gun he had from Ocelot a single action army revolver. not only that you're his back pocket he had a pouch full of shuriken and attached to his left leg was a kunai holster.

as Naruto continued to walk on the sidewalk across the bridge. His hands are in his pockets, hood pulled up with his head down trying to block out much of the rain as he could. the blonde was going over everything he had learned up to this point. today was his first real mission and he was going to make sure he didn't mess this up.

"All right Grayfox the target should be passing under the bridge in 20 seconds." Maria Hill's voice spoke to his ear.

"copy moving out now," and with that Naruto broke into a run. in 10 seconds he was able to reach the middle of the bridge. tossing off his raincoat is reaching behind himself just as he leaps off the bridge, Naruto attached a bungee cord to the steel railings on the side of the bridge. as he is rocketing through the air falling upside down below him Naruto can see a large tanker below, the USS Discovery.

as Naruto is falling toward the tanker, he repelled down the upper deck. Once he is close enough he feels his body begin to pull because the cord reached its maximum length. he releases the bungee cord. twisting is fine he can lamp on the lower deck silent crouch. looking around Naruto could see that it is spotted with a few large crates here and there making the perfect cover quickly moves behind the nearest one to avoid any onlookers from the upper decks of the ship.

"I've made it onto the tanker beginning my infiltration now," Naruto called out over his earpiece.

"Roger that head towards the bridge and see if you can find out the tanker's heading" this time it was the voice of female shield agent Alex calling into his earpiece.

from around the corner of the crate, Naruto spotting no one around so quickly and silently began heading towards the nearest opening in the ship. keeping his body closely here to the wall it's able to find a hatch unfortunately though regarded by a uniform soldier.

"AKS-74u?" Naruto thought once got to look at the man's weapon turn spot began to walk towards it. moving back behind the corner Naruto weighted and listen to see if the man can come anyways. right, when it seems you would be turning order towards it the soldier stuff turned around and began to walk back towards the hatch.

halfway to the hatch, Naruto makes his move quickly taking two steps he's able to launch himself forward at the man. before the soldier was able to take another step Naruto was behind him his forearm testing hard against his legs the other putting pressure on the back of his head pulling the man into a tight headlock. the soldier began to struggle we're trying to reach for his record the great show strict Naruto arched his back and easily lifted the much larger taller man off the ground. as he struggled to breathe trying to pull away from Naruto. the blond applied a bit more pressure and twisted his arms, with a sickening pop and crunch the man's body fell lifeless to the ground at Naruto's feet.

taking a step back to calm his breathing, a year ago that would have bothered him a lot more than it did now. However, in this place, there was no prophecy of peace only a violent world he would keep safe no matter what. quickly Naruto picked it up and tossed it over his shoulder before walking over to the side railing of the tanker and dropping him unceremoniously into the waters below. with that over and done he moved back to the hatch silently opening it up before stepping into the ship.

Naruto proceeds through the tanker dispatching and avoiding guards along the way. He eventually makes it to the bridge. He slowly enters the room. The body of one of the ship's workers is slumped over the controls, and another one of the ship's crewmates is crumpled on the ground. They are both wearing the same orange jumpsuits as the other crewmen. Naruto approaches the window of the boat and sees two helicopters flying toward the tanker

"I can see too Kasatka... Russian choppers, making the way towards the tanker," Naruto called to his earpiece. from his spot on the bridge Naruto could see the two Kasatkas hover over the ship. several soldiers in the same uniforms as

the rest repel down a rope and secure the area. staying low so that he could remain out of sight Naruto goes to the center console of the bridge and presses some buttons on it. lucky for him none of the information was encrypted and he was able to easily access what he needed

"Alex this thing is headed 35 degrees longitude, latitude around 58," Naruto called out.

"that's more than 500 miles off the coast of the Bermudas, out in the middle of the Atlantic."

"International waters," Naruto said just then a sound coming from outside drew his attention. from his spot, he could see a female soldier walking out on the deck. She is talking on the radio. making sure there is no one else around Naruto goes outside to where he saw the soldier. as he gets closer to her he crouches down and hides behind a crate.

the woman is dressed in a military cap, wearing tan camo pants, and very light green and a white striped tank top that hugs her well-toned athletic frame with black suspenders. Naruto can see that she has a very short white hairstyle with a pixie cut(and hairy armpits.) as you continue to talk into her radio he turns around to face the opposite side of the day and Naruto was able to get a better look at her face. hey, slender jaw with pointed cheekbones and large blue-gray eyes, you could easily say this woman was very pretty.

"...Shalashaska has landed. I'm on my way to the tanker holds... Report your status." at the female Soldier's words Naruto was frozen not believing what he had just heard.

"Control room, communications, and engine room are under control. All entry and exit points to the tanker holds are secured. Infrared sensors placed and operational." a man on the radio called back.

"Good work. Are the explosives in place?" Female Soldier demanded.

"Yes, they're all planted." the man on the radio answered, having heard enough Naruto jumped out from his covered position his signature weapon drawn, the single action army revolver he had won from Ocelot.

"Freeze!"

"Agents Romanoff and Barton are out and being called back to base so in the meantime we'll be sending you in first, you have the most experience dealing with Ocelots and Gurlukovich." As Hill begin her mission briefing Naruto was pulled away from his old memories. shaking his head he focused on the woman standing next to him.

"What are the mission parameters," Naruto asked trying to focus.

"Fury what's this dealt with and that installation back under US control. you Romanoff and Barton are to go in there and clean house."At this Naruto wanted to say something decided against it. instead, he ignored the look Hill was sending his way instead look back at the screen that still showed the picture of Olga. "that won't be a problem I assume."

"When do I leave." was all the blonde could ask a look of determination on his face.
