This is the classic "Last human in Nier Automata" story, I just hope you like my take on the story just as much as the others. Hopefully more actually. Also don't worry our favorite 2B,9S and A2 will make their debuts eventually.

2B is trapped. Trapped in a never ending cycle of executing 9S. But one day that changes. She executes 9S one last time and never has to execute him again. But her last execution was her worst and one that would haunt her for the rest of her life. (Alternate route AU where 2B survives instead of 9S).

Ribbon's just your run of the mill human in a wasteland world who 1) has been lied to since birth, 2) may be the very last of his kind, and 3) has gotten tangled in 9S and 2B's spiral of a relationship. There's absolutely nothing psychologically wrong with him.

The Twins Popola and Devola are the outcasts of Androids, hated by many and ignored by the few for their failure in helping Humanity. Yet just as secrets of Humanity remain to this day, Popola and Devola have a secret of their own. One that would change the very worldview of all Androids and all that they though was real. Soldiers take pride in their service, friends take pride in keeping their promises, and lovers take pride in being what the other can't live without, but for YoRHa Unit 9S, 2B's trust was his badge of honor, more so than any number of accolades he had ever received.
