A one-shot story inspired by the Tumblr ship drabble challenge. Originally a short little drabble that turned out to be much more in the end! Story is set in the first few hours of 1926, just where they left us at the end of season 6. Mr. Carson is feeling down after the news of his retirement and is very much in need of a hug from his wife...

And she would keep him here as long as she possibly could." An AU starting in S4 where Mary grieves Matthew differently, Tom is still the chauffeur, and their friendship forms another way.

Life is settled and happy in Crawley House, but how long will it stay that way? I love Isobel and Dickie stories, so decided to try one myself. First ever fanfiction story, and most definitely a WIP.

As part of John's duties, he reads to Anna from a book about a designer and the bodyguard hired to keep her safe.
