Lemonade and chair, marriage chest, Anne and Gilbert’s everlasting misunderstandings. What will actually happen if only the Winifred situation has been rectified once and for all? This is my take on Anne and Gilbert sitting on Miss Stacy’s marriage chest.

It’s the first summer break after Anne and Gilbert went to Queen’s and U of T respectively. They both agreed to go home together to Avonlea and meet at the train station in Charlottetown to take the journey together to Bright River then to their homes.

She stuck out from all the rest. She wasn't like any other he had ever met. What were these feelings? - We're going to find out! Read on to hear this wonderful story told from my eyes with some changes and new scenes!

Some stories need rewrites and changes to be made. I felt the character of Billy Andrews did not live up to the novels. He was made into this awful person. I wanted to humanize him and make him more complicated. Enjoy. Rated M just in case.

Anne and Diana were out in the streets of Charlottetown when they see a familiar face with a secret.

Gilbert wakes one morning to find his wife missing. Frantically he searches everywhere. (Married Shirbert fluff.)

Gilbert’s four year old niece Delphine is under the impression that him and Anne are dating. Rather than correcting her, he decides to go along with it. One problem though- Anne has no clue whatsoever that any of this is going on.

So, Anne, Gilbert and the gang live in 2020 and guess what? Covid happens. So just know, it is a slow burn. It will get there. It will evolve. There are some relatable things (banana bread, anyone?), a very old issue between Anne and Gil that will need some addressing at some point and very funny situations as well many, many tears. This will be long. OC is everyone from the gang.

Written after S3/E10 of Anne with an E aired in Canada, and after the devastating news that this beloved series will not be renewed for a 4th season. Admittedly, I am in the depths of despair. I plan to use this platform to work through my grief, and hope that you will join me for this - and other - explorations into what could have been. Thank you, Moira Walley-Beckett.

Anne and Gilbert are back in Avonlea for Spring Break, and Gilbert being the sweet sentimental boy he is, requests a particular outing.

Marilla wakes up to Anne having a bad dream

"I do not like the way he looks at you or talks to you," Diana informed her elder sister as they walked side by side on the way to school. Charlotte laughed at her and shook her head. "Believe me, I can handle Mr Phillips, Diana. Do not worry about that." Mr Phillips was the least of Charlotte's concerns since her return to Avonlea.

Gilbert is caught leaving the letter containing his confessed love to Anne in her room. Feeling guilty of compelling Anne to love him back, he attempts to get the letter back before Anne can read it.

Diana convinces Anne to go to a Christmas party hosted by none other than Gilbert Blythe himself. Some teen shenanigans ensue and a twenty is put on the line. (Notes about the photo: This isn’t my photo. I found it online.)
