Season Two of Sanditon left some of us bereft with how things were left between Alexander Colbourne and Charlotte Heywood. Can two people who have been so hurt by love in their pasts find a way to forge a new path forward and together?

Rated T just in case. This is my imagining of the story of Alexander Colbourne and Charlotte Heywood after Season 2. This is my first story, so be kind and give constructive criticism.

A storm forces Charlotte to spend the night at the Colbourne estate. Takes place after the garden party, but before the ball. Colbourne has not explained and things are awkward between them.

It's the summer of 1833, fifteen years after Charlotte and Sidney said goodbye. Now both widowed with children of their own, their lives come back together in the same place it all began; a charming seaside town called Sanditon.

A farewell conversation between two grieving people brings a bit of hope to them both.

Charlotte Heywood believes in love and affection. Sidney Parker believes in being an outlier. Despite all their differences, there is one moment that binds them together. Forever, as it turns out. - A brooding hero, a feisty heroine, misunderstandings, substantial conversations, cricket, dances, romance and a happy ending, or: Sanditon. As it should have been.

Poor Charlotte Heywood and Sidney Parker were left saying goodbye on a lonely cliff at Sanditon. This is my attempt of trying to finish the story of this couple who clearly love each other. This is my first attempt at writing and finding it an interesting process. It is still a work in progress so keep reading if you are interested.
