The Mankanshokus were out of town, attending the catered funeral of a distant stranger. Ryoku hadn't wanted to go with them, but as soon as they left, she didn't want to be alone. Silence was harder to bear than usual these days. She ended up talking to her left boob a lot.

A couple of years after the end of the events of the main series, Ryuko has a stroke that leaves her paraplegic and severely incapacitated when it comes to her memory. Thankfully, she has the world's best girlfriend to help her adjust to her new life. And the ghost of an old friend.
