John is "being properly naval" but the rest of the Swallows, and the Callums, are at the Lake, Mac has offered to lend Seabear to a reluctant Capt. Flint and once again Nancy finds herself promising that there will be no adventures. (Now marked as complete.)

A rather sensationalist story featuring Susan, set around ten years after Swallowdale. It was written in half an hour while I was stuck writing something else.

Roger and Nancy meet on an airfield "somewhere in England" in 1944. I've never been convinced by the John Nancy connection and this story is perhaps a bit hard on John. I have tried to keep the language true to period, especially the dialogue, please do highlight anywhere that I've failed. There is ONE rude word! Revised for typos and details- thanks for the reviews pointing.

Set in the 1950s, Nancy Walker visits a public library and ends up saying what she thinks of someone. Reference to bad language, but no actual swearing.

Timothy's search for copper is constantly being hampered, and he can't help but wish for Jim.

When Nancy is killed in a freak accident, the friends all gather to attend her funeral. Deciding that laying in a church yard would not suit her, the last Amazon, the Swallows and the Scarabs decide to kidnap Nancy's body and give her a more fitting final resting place. (Rated M for safety)

A fictional account based on the work of Arthur Ransome with pieces drawn from "Coxswain in the Northern Convoys" the memoirs of Coxswain Sidney A. Kerslane R.N.R., "Naval life and Customs" by Lt-Cmdr. John Irving R.N. and other historical sources.

This is originally a yuletide present for Mrs Redboots. It is set in the summer after Great Northern? There may be a few mentions of individuals from non-Ransome books, but nothing warrant being called a crossover.

I claim no ownership of Arthur Ransome's wonderful characters, but I'm writing this to answer some questions: What would happen if the Swallows, Amazons and D's spent a Summer in the Swiss Alps? Where could they go and what kind of adventures could they have, in a landscape crying out for them to spend a summer in? They've made the Lake District their own, what about the Alps?

While my next proper story is developing I thought I'd try a drabble. Peggy joined the WRNS (Women's Royal Naval Service) and gets her first posting.
