Dougal and Minerva arrived right after lunch at Remus' home to pick up Harry. Remus invited them in and silently beckoned them to follow him to the study. They peeked in the room to see Harry laying on Sirius' chest sleeping away. He had fast drying tear streaks down his little face and Sirius had his arms wrapped around Harry protectively. Evidence of tears could be seen on his face too.

Once they arrived back in the living room and settled in seats, Minerva looked at Remus and raised her eyebrow in question. The werewolf sighed audibly and rubbed his palm across his face in agitation. "I won't go into detail but Harry has a question he wants to ask you. Sirius and I believe you should agree to Harry's request even though I know you will baulk once he asks."

Minerva scrunched her face up in her confusion. "How will I know what request I should agree to if you don't tell me what I should agree to and why you and Sirius think I should?" she questioned the younger wizard.

"You will know," he reassured then changed the subject. "How did the charity ball go?"

"It went well," Dougal answered. "The orphanage should have a grand Christmas this year."

"Momma! Daddy!" cried Harry happily as he ran to Minerva, climbed on her lap and hugged her tightly.

Minerva was thoroughly shocked at the new name and looked at Remus for explanation. Remus simply nodded his head. She looked at Sirius who gave her a sad smile. "James and Lily would want him to have as normal a life as possible," he offered. "His bestfriend has a Mum and Dad. Harry decided you both were more than a typical aunt and uncle and should be recognized as such. We happen to agree with him."

Minerva teared up at the mere thought and wrapped Harry up in her embrace. She looked at Dougal and saw unshed tears shining in his eyes. He was struggling as much with this as she was. She never intended to be more than Aunt Min. Lily was the boy's mother and she didn't want to encroach on that. However it seems she overlooked one little detail in the matter, Harry. He wanted more than a different kind of family. He wanted parents in the here and now and she realized she wasn't able to deny him. "I have missed you love," she said emotionally, her Scottish brogue more pronounced.

Dougal wrapped his arms around his wife and newly labeled son as she gave in to her emotions. "Did you have fun with your uncles?" Dougal asked Harry.

Harry nodded his head and smiled at his newly named Daddy. Dougal listened as Harry told of his adventures in the way only a toddler could. The little tike might not have the best vocabulary or speaking skills just yet but he managed to get the point across.

Minerva McGonagall McGregor walked into the Great Hall for dinner with Harry in tow. It was the night before the students left to go home for Christmas break and she wanted to see the students. She had missed teaching the past few weeks although she wouldn't trade Dougal or Harry for anything. She was dressed in a highend muggle suit of deep red and her hair was twisted up in an elegant braided bun at the nape of her neck. It gave her more of a youthful appearance.

Harry was perched on her hip with his fists clutching her top. He constantly looked from one side to the another of the Great Hall while trying to take it all in. She chuckled in amusement at his obvious excitement. "I go Hogwarts," he asked her with a grin.

Minerva smiled and shook her head. "Not until you are eleven years old Harry," she answered softly.

"Momma," he whined. "That's ages!"

Minerva rolled her eyes and thinned her lips. "Do you think whining will get you to eleven sooner?" she asked sternly.

Harry smiled sheepishly at her. "Sorry Momma," he offered.

Minerva offered him a rare smile and kissed his cheek loudly causing him to break into a round of giggles. "Momma," he laughed before he kissed her back on her cheek. "Love you Momma."

"Not as much as I love you Harry James," she responded as they reached the Head table. She took her normal seat while Albus sat Harry in a newly transformed highchair between them.

"Momma," Harry drew her attention. She turned and looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "I eat that," pointing to a dessert a little further down the table.

"After you eat your vegetables," she offered.

Harry picked up a potato from the small plate in front of him and pushed it in his mouth happily as he thought about his dessert. "Wouldn't you like to try to eat with your utensils?"

"No fun that way," he answered with a grin and continued to eat with his hands. She closed her eyes in defeat as she made herself a plate.

A chuckle escaped Albus as he attempted to hide his amusement. "It seems young Harry is enjoying his meal," he said with a grin.

"Aye," she agreed with a sigh. "He stayed with Sirius yesterday while I shopped. He always reverts back to eating with his hands for a few days if Remus isn't there too."

"Does he see Mr. Black and Mr. Lupin often?" Filius Flitwick asked.

Minerva smiled at her friend and nodded. "Daily for the most part," she answered. "Sirius feels the need to spoil him endlessly. Remus is tutoring Harry and his bestfriend Hermione. I plan on sending Harry to muggle primary school when he is old enough so Remus is working towards that goal."

"Hermione," questioned Albus.

"A muggleborn," she offered. "Her parents are friends with Dougal. They will be attending Hogwarts together. Remus lives next-door to the Grangers and frequently watches Hermione while her parents are working."

"That's wonderful," Filius said excitedly. "They will start school with a friend." Minerva smiled and agreed.

"All done," Harry said as he held his plate to her. Minerva smiled at him, kissed his button nose and dipped him out a portion of dessert. "Thanks Momma," he grinned and dug in.

"How long has Harry called you Momma?" Albus inquired.

Minerva closed her eyes at the question. "A couple of weeks," she answered. "Harry had a meltdown while with Sirius and Remus. His bestfriend has parents and he figured Dougal and I were his. Remus and Sirius demanded we allow him to refer to us as Daddy and Momma. I caved when I saw the obvious joy on his face when he realized he had parents too."

"I would have certainly done the same," Pomona Sprout offered compassionately to her childhood friend. Minerva gave her a smile in return.
