Decisions Have to be Made

After Shampoo nearly traps Ranma with the red string of fate, Akane worries about the next time when she might be too late to stop it. For her sister's sake, Nabiki reaches out to someone to help Ranma finally make a decision.

7. Chapter 7

"Why keep showing Shampoo this?" Her voice was raw with her desperation.

Footage was showing of Ranma's betrayals on repeat. Every time he used her, tricked her, lied to her. Shampoo's face was streaked with her tears. It hurt, every time she saw Ranma using her to get something, or get to Akane.

"Shampoo never first in Airen's heart." She finally broke, crumpling to her knees; she cried out for a love she feared would never be. "Stop! Please."

As Shampoo's despair took over, the man burned some incense. "I'm sorry, Shampoo, but I'm going to have to make things more difficult for you, but it should turn out okay in the end."

Shampoo's body glowed purple as the incense burned and something was pulled out of her and flew toward the man. He held out a box, and the purple light landed inside. He closed and locked the box.
