Back with another part thank you to all those who have Followed, Favourited, Read or Commented on my fanfic.
I want to address the pacing of the story. I come from a What If Background and because of this I tend to speed up my stories skipping training arcs unless it's important because that's how we do it in What Ifs.
Now I want to answer some questions I've been asked in DM's.
Pairing - so far 1 person has gotten the pairing I'm going to do for Naruko and it was creepy like they have read my notes on how I'm going to possibly introduce them.
Bingo Book - Yes I know the Bingo Book entry is too overpowered for her skill set but it's meant to be over exaggerated a bit. But it may get worse.
Bloodline - Naruko Doesn't have a Bloodline that makes her Genjutsu real, its just that her Chakra is So strong and Dense that it over powers the senses, to the point that they are conceived to be really by anyone that comes in contact with them, so theoretically she could kill someone in a genjutsu by scaring them to death or even permanently paralyse them by locking them in one.
Chapter 5 - Uzumaki Clan
It's been a long 4 days of Travel to the Coast for Naruko and Kurenai, not only were that attacked by bandits they were attacked by bandits 3 different times, they weren't strong Bandits but after the Second time they had had enough, to the point they had to send word back to the leaf that they had taken out the bandit camp that they keeped coming from to make sure a team wasn't sent to get rid of the camp.
By the time they make it to the coast they learn that they is only one boat that will take them to Uzu no Kuni, and it won't be back for two days, during those two days they spend it relaxing on the Coast, Kurenai gives Naruko a few more lessons Genjutsu and helps her refine her Version of the 'Sharingan Genjutsu', she calls 'Uzumaki Waves', even learning it to Kurenai who has struggles to use it for long as it takes a lot of chakra to keep up, but after the two days she is able to use it for 10 minutes in battle before it start to strain her chakra reserves.
Also during their few days' travel, Kurenai checks Naruko's Chakra Nature, finding that he has a Strong Wind and a stronger Lightning Affinity with a very Mild Fire, then again all of the Jinchūriki of the Nine Tails have a Mild Fire Affinity, if it's not they Primary. Naruko Finds it slightly Weird that she has a Lightning affinity as Most Uzumakis from what she has readed have a Wind and Water affinity not lightning.
3 Days Later - Uzu no Kuni
The Trip to Uzu no Kuni by boat took one day once the boat arrived due to the Whirlpools around the Island protecting it, this backing up the belief that Kiri, Iwa and Kumo must have gotten lucky when attacking Uzu. Arriving on the Island they set up camp on the since they are about half a day from Uzushiogakure and it would be dangerous travelling at night.
After setting up camp and preparing a Smokeless Fire, Kurenai sitting over from Naruko, she stares him right in the eyes "Naru," getting his attention. "How long have you been able to use the Kyuubi's power?" she asks with a concerned tune in her voice.
Naru, knowing that she has been caught, "The Second Week of our training" she says looking down, "I was going to tell you but when I realised I was struggling in the water walking exercise, it was because the Kyuubi was messing with my Chakra Network. I meditated and went to have a talk with him, whilst you were at a Jonin meeting."
Flashback no Jutsu - Second Week of Training - Naruko's Mindscape
After Meditating she awakens in that of a Sewer system Following the long tunnel she arrives in that off a large room with a set of doors with a Seal in the Middle, behind the Doors is that of a Massive Orange Fox with Nine Tails.
"So Finally my Jailer has come to Visit me" the Massive Fox says
"That I have you Big Dumb Fox!" Naruko Shouts at it
*Dark Laughter* "Why don't you come here and say that to me and I'll Gut you!"
"Im not stupid, im not coming over."
"Well you could have fooled me. So What do you Want Jailer?"
"I want you to stop messing with my Chakra Network"
"Not happening, unless you free me"
"That Will Kill me"
"But It would stop me, messing with your Chakra Network"
*Silence*
"How about a Deal then?"
"What type of Deal, Kyuubi?"
"A Simple one, you Change up this MindScape so i'm no longer in this Damn Sewer, and Allow me access to your Senses, and I will stop messing with your chakra. What do you say"
*Naruko takes a thinking pose* "Fine but if you start to mess with my Chakra network again, I'll make sure that you are underwater instead of in a Sewer. Deal?"
"Deal"
"So since we have a deal, What is your Name? Because Kyūbi no Yōko is a title."
"I'm not telling you my name"
"Why not?"
"Because you humans don't deserve it"
"Well What can I call you then?"
"Fylgja"
Flashback no Jutsu Kai
After Finishing his Story, Kurenai starts to think, closing her eyes taking in the information, after a minute, "are you sure he isn't trying to take advantage of you?" She asks concerned for her student.
"Fylgja hasn't done anything since we made that agreement, and the two times I have used his Power, he offered it, we have spoken quite a few times since then, and he wants me to live, so he can Live." Naru telles her.
"Well Please just be careful, and we will need to inform the Hokage when we get back." she tells her Blond Student. Before the two turn in for the night.
Uzushiogakure no Sato
Naruko and Kurenai spend half a day walking to Uzushiogakure no Sato, the closer they get the more Nervous Naruko gets, but Kurenai is able to calm her down. As they approach the Former Home of the Uzumaki Clan, they See a set of Large Red Gates similar to the Leaf Except these gates have the Uzumaki symbol in the centre.
Walking through the gates they see the destruction of the Village, this makes them feel sad. This once great Village Destroyed by Kiri, Iwa and Kumo, in the back of Narukos mind she feels Sympathy from the 'Fylgja'.
Moving through the village they spot all the destroyed building, not a single building from what they can see is left standing, till they get to the centre of town, and see what look like runes across the floor, Naruko spots them, "they look like 'futhark' or or 'fuþark' they are Runes they used in Fuinjutsu but only Uzumakis are Read they it's something in our Blood." Naruko tells Kurenai.
"Can you read what they say?" Kurenai asks, whilst trying to read them herself but was unable to. "They say Barrier, Blood, Uzumaki, repeating." she tells her sensei. "Drop some Blood on the Runes" Fylgja says in his head. Following his instructions she Bites her thumb some blood on the Runes.
A Bright Flash of Light Blinds both of them, and from that Blinding light a Massive Longhouse appears. "Wow" they both say in unison, its pristine no sign of Damage over the years, "THAT'S AMAZING" Naruko shouts.
Naruko walks forward inside the barrier to look at the building, Kurenai tries to step forward but hits the barrier, "Naruko, don't go any further." Kurenai's orders. Naruko stops in her tracks, "Hai, Sensei".
"What should we do? Should I try and find a way to disable the barrier?" Naruko asks. "I believe it should be safe, but be careful Naruko." Kurenai tells her students.
Following his Sensei orders she walks up to the Longhouse and sees that the double doors are shut. Naruko pushes the door upon to see Large room about 80ft long by 44ft Wide and 20ft tall, in the room they is 8 support beams covered in runes, over from Naruko is what looks like a that Scroll in the centre of the Room with Stood on top on either side is that of two Ravens they look at her, the doors clothes behind her, but she doesn't notice.
The two Ravens Fly over and land on her shoulders and Whisper into her eyes, "you two are 'Huginn' and 'Muninn'." Naruko says, They whisper some more, "Your apart of the Uzumaki Clan Summon." they whisper more "the Yggdrasill Summoning Clan." More Whispers "you want me to Bleed on the Circle around the Scroll." They then Fly off and land on the scroll.
Following the Instructions of the Huginn and Muninn, she bleeds on the runes and a poof of smoke a Large Black Wolf 15ft Long Wolf by 9ft tall, Glowing Red Eyes Sharp Teeth. "I AM FENRIR, LEADER OF THE YGGDRASILL SUMMONING CLAN. YOUNG UZUMAKI, HUGINN AND MUNINN HAVE TOLD ME YOU HAVE THE FENRIR'S BLOODLINE MUTATION, AND I CAN FEEL IT INSIDE OF YOU, BUT THEY IS SOMETHING ELSE, SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING ELSE, WHAT IS IT?" Finrer tells ask him.
"I'm the jinchūriki of the Nine Tailed Fox, Fylgja or at least that's what he wants me to call him, for now." Naruko Replies. "Kurama" Fernir thinks to himself. "WHEN DID KUSHINA DIE?" Fenrir asks. "The day I was born, 14 years ago, the night the Nine Tails Escaped." she tells the wolf.
Fenrir turns to Huginn and Muninn and shoots them a look as they look away. "I'M SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS YOUNG UZUMAKI, BUT AS THE LAST MEMBER OF THE MAIN BRANCH OF THE UZUMAKI CLAN, I AM WILLING TO ACCEPT YOU SIGNING THE CONTRACT, BUT IF YOU WANT TO BE ABLE TO USE OUR CLAN FULL POWER YOU MUST FIRST COMPLETE OUR TRIAL." Fenrir tells her.
"What would the trail be?" Naruko Asks, "TO WITHSTAND MY FULL KILLING INTENT BECAUSE IF YOU SUMMON ME IN BATTLE THAT IS WHAT YOU WILL BE GETTING." The Wolf Replies.
"Ok, Let's do this." Naruko exclaims. Fenrir laughs and lets it all out. Kurenai outside of the barrier Feels the the KI and gets worried, but inside Naruko is feeling the full force of the KI and shrugging it off like it is nothing, over the last month since has felt the KI from Fylgja, as a way to train her after encounter with Zabuza.
After 10 minutes Fenrir drops the KI and Laughs, "You're the First Human since Ulfhild to be able to withstand my KI, it would be a Honner Young one if you signed out contract." the barrier around the Contract Falls, Huginn and Muninn pick the contract up and give it to Naruko "unroll it, and sign your name in Blood. And then Place a handprint from one of your hands in the slot below." Following his instructions, Naruko does such. "Now Once I desummon myself, offer blood, and do Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram then slam your hand on the ground in that order and Summon me." with a nod knowing that she understands, Naruko does as instructed.
"Kuchiyose no Jutsu: Fenrir" Naruko calls out after performing the Jutsu, and with a Poof a 2 ft tall wolf Appears. "Did I do something wrong?" Naruko asks looking at the wolf, "No you haven't." The Wolf says "I'm Fenrir, this is me at about 2% of my full power. What you saw Earlier was me at 15% of my power. The more Chakra you use the stronger I will be. Right now I'm about your level, if not slightly above."
Naruko just nods. "There are many Summons in our Clan but if you need any help with knowing who to summon, Summon Huginn and Muninn and they can help, they are our best information gathering, even if they are lacking sometimes." He howls, "The Barrier around this building is gone, your Sensei is on her way in." As he finishes his Words, Kurenai rushes in and stands in front of her student.
"Naruko, are you ok?" she Shouts seeing the Little Wolf and two Ravens. "Hai, sensei, this is Fenrir, leader of the Yggdrasill Summoning Clan, the Uzumaki summons." she tells her and is shocked she had only heard rumours of the summoning clan.
"I'm sorry if I scared you Yūhi-san, but it was a test on the heir of the Uzumaki clan. And she passed with Flying colours." Fenrir tells her. "But now I must be off to inform the rest of the Clan If you have any questions Feel free to summon me tomorrow. I'll answer the best I can. This building is protected and it's safe, so if you two wish to stay here please do." he says before Desummoning himself along with Huginn and Muninn.
"Well today was interesting, sensei." Naruko says with a Laugh.
Three week later - Land of Fire
During the Three Weeks they spent in Uzushiogakure, the first few days were Naruko and Kurenai learning about the Uzumaki Clan from Fenrir, Huginn and Muninn. Naruko learnt some FuinJutsu using the 'futhark' she learnt 4 Seals, 'Uzumaki Fuinjutsu: Running Water', a Seal that Creates a rush of Water out of Chakra that is meant to slow enemies down. 'Uzumaki Fuinjutsu: Wind in the Sails' a Seal that Creates a Powerful gust of wind that can that was originally meant to Blow wind it to the sails of a ship but later because a defensive seal that could stop C-Rank Katon Jutsu 'Uzumaki Fuinjutsu: Thor Thunderous Roar' a seal that sends out a Bolt of Lightning that is considered a B-Rank Jutsu. And Finally 'Uzumaki Fuinjutsu: Summon Longhouse' is a seal that summons a Longhouse 40ft long by 22ft Wide and 10ft tall.
Afterwhich Naruko spends time Learning More Genjutsu from Kurenai, even learning her Signature 'Genjutsu Magen: Jubaku Satsu' (Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death), they then spent the next few weeks Training and improving they current skill set, Using the Whirlpools that surround Uzu Kurerai with the Aid of Fenrir use them to improve Naruko's Chakra control.
Naruko also started to learn how to use the Uzumakis Signature Jutsu 'Kongō Fūsa' (Adamantine Sealing Chains), she is able to Create 4 chains that can stretch up to 10ft or 1 Chain that can Stretch up to 40ft, and the Chain isn't as strong as her mothers.
The two also learn about the Uzumaki Clan Trails, which state that if someone wants to Join the Uzumaki Clan they must learn 1 fuinjutsu using 'futhark', which requires them learning 'futhark'. Before they leave Naruko asks Fenrir if they are anything apart from 'The Yggdrasill Summoning Contract' and is informed that all Jutsu and Weapons that the Uzumaki Clan had, where giving to 'The Yggdrasill Summoning Clan' for Safety before they got wiped out.
Returning to the land of Fire they start moving towards the Village stopping in a Small Gambling town on the way, "Kurenai-Sensei, can we stop here for a day, I haven't played Poker in months." Naruko asks, giving her best puppy Dog eyes. Kurenai tries to resist but is unable to, "Fine, but one day." They get a hotel room, whilst Kurenai decides to stay in the room, as she doesnt like Gambling, but understands that people need their vices to relax.
Naruko on the other hand, get excited, Sealing her Weapons, she heads out to one of the Shinobi Gambling dens, since the only way to get in is by the roof and even they you need to channel Chakra into a Seal to open the door, it perfect for them, the tables are more expensive to buy in instead of the Typical 500 ryo is 2000 ryo, but the games are more high stake.
Naruko with her ability to Sense Emotions is the perfect Player she knows when to play and when not to, after 6 hours she has won 115,000 Ryo and decides that is enough for the night, and leaves the table. On her way back to the Hotel she decides to head for something to eat and finds a Ramen Bar, entering the Bar she sees the only other Person there is a Woman with Black shoulder cut hair, she sits down next to her and spots the pig on her lap.
The owner of the Raman bar exits the kitchen, she is an older woman with tired back Salt and pepper hair, with a Slightly Raspy Voice "what can I get you?" the woman askes, "One large Muso Ramen, for now." Naruko says with a smile.
The Woman next to her looks at her, Naruko spots her out of the looking at her out of the corner of her eye, turning to look at the women she sees part of her bang almost over left eye, and that she has beautiful onyx Eyes, that makes Naruko blush slightly, before getting it together clearing her throat, "can I help you, miss?" she asks.
"No, I'm sorry I didn't mean to stare, but I'm just wondering, why are you using Chakra to Deepen your voice?" and then it hits her, as she is scanning Naruko's body "I'm sorry." Naruko laughs at the woman's shocked expression, Dropping the Voice, "it's ok. You are the first person to ever notice" Naruko Says with a smile.
"But I'm curious, how could you tell?" Naruko asks the lady, "Well, I'm a medic Nin, I'm also very observant, I noticed you didn't have an Adam's apple and that your Throat Vibrated with chakra." she tells the girl.
"It's surprising how many people don't look for the Adam's apple." she says with a chuckle. "So why are you here in a town like this, Mission, from the look of the Leaf Logo on your top." the woman asks.
"No, I was on a training trip with my sensei. We head back to the leaf tomorrow, it was fun. I learnt a lot more than we expected." she says as a bowl of Ramen is placed in front of her. Smiling before digging in. the Black haired Watches the Blond Jinchūriki Devour the Bowl of Ramen, like they haven't eaten in years, with the Biggest Smile on the Blonds Face, that makes her smile.
The two continue eating their meals and with Naruko Ordering another 9 Bowls which shocks the Black Haired Women wondering where she puts it all, the Women behind the bar, is more than happy to keep Serving her. "Where do you put it all?" She Asks the blond, "Ramens the Food of the Gods, Believe it", The Woman swears that she is seeing a ghost, "I could eat 30 bowls of Ramen and still want more but I promised my Sensei I wouldn't do that anymore."
The Black haired Women study the Girl some more, "Miss are you ok?" Naruko asks, "I'm sorry for staring, but I thought I saw a ghost when looking at you." she tells the blond Girl. "Who did you think you saw?" Naruko asks.
"A friend of mine's Wife, She used to say the same thing when it came to Ramen. Uzumaki Kushina." the Black haired woman says with a Sombre look on her face. "You know my Mam?" the Blond says to the woman. The Black Haired Woman looks confused, "Your mam, that can't be Kushina and her Child Died that night." she says with a confused look on her face.
"No, I survived, Hokage-jiji Told me who my mam was after I got my name in the Bingo Book." she tells the Woman. 'No, this Can't be, Tsunade needs to know.' "Just Wondering When are you leaving?" she asks. "Tomorrow Morning." she replies.
"Just wondering, if you can meet me in the morning before you leave?" She Asks with a smile, "Sure," she says before getting up to leave, before turning back "I never got your name?" she asks. "It's Shizune." she says with a Smile, Naruko Blushes, "you have such a Pretty Name, Im Uzumaki Naruko."
Shizune Blushes as she has never been called Pretty before. She watches Naruko Leave, but only comes to her senses when the Pig on her lap oinks at her. "Right Tonton, We need to tell Tsunade."
Shizune's and Tsunade's room
Tsunade sits in her room Drinking alone, she isn't drunk, just having a Night to herself. When Shizune Bursts into the room, "Sensei, We need to talk, it's important." She said as she burst into the room, "Shizune what is wrong?" she asks.
"I've just met Someone who Claims to be Uzumaki Naruko, Kushina's daughter." She says slightly panicked, "That's impossible. She Died the day the Nine Tails Escaped, The Elders told me that herself, and the Letter from the Old Monkey as well." Tsunade says
"I know it's hard to believe but she Reminds me of Kushina, even all the way down to the way she eats Ramen and the 'Believe it'. I swear I wouldn't Lie about this, Tsunade-sama" Shizune says.
"What did she look like?" Tsunade asks with a wondering, and Shizune tells her what Naruko looks like, down to the Whisker marks. She describes her as a Blond Kushina.
Tsunade starts to tear up knowing that, just hearing the way she looks, that She is the Child of Minato and Kushina. It brings Joy, Guilt and pain to her, that she was never in her life. She then realises that as an Uzumaki she is probably the Host of the Kyūbi no Yōko. brings even more sadness to her knowing the way she was probably treated in that Village.
Following Morning
Kurenai and Naruko are currently walking towards the Ramen Bar that Naruko had visited the night before to meet Shizune, "and your telling me that she wanted to meet with you this morning." Kurenai asked, getting a nod from her student, "and she figured out you are a girl" getting another nod, "and you trust her?" getting another nod, "What was her name?"
Just before she can answer they arrive at the bar and Spot Shizune and a Large Chested Woman. Kurenai looks surprised. "Shizune-San and Tsunade-san?" Shizune looks up, "Kurenai-san and Naruko-san." Tsunade looks at Naruko, and sees Kushina and Minato, in her Smiling Face.
Thinking to herself 'No way. How can it be?' keeping a Stone Face. "How are you Shizune-Chan?" Naruko Asks the Black Haired Women. "I'm fine, Naruko-San. The reason I asked you to meet me again is because I wanted you to meet my Master, Senju Tsunade." She Answers the Girl.
Naruko's Eye Go Wide, "Your Senju Tsunade, I'm a huge Fan of yours. You are one of the reasons I became a kunoichi. Hokage-Jiji Told me about you, and how you used to Make Ninja Run in fear the moment you entered the battlefield. For a While I wanted to be a medic Nin, but my Chakra can be poisonous at times so I Can't heal others."
Tsunade Smile, "You really Are Kushina's Daughter. That Dopie Smile, even down to wanted to be a Medic Nin, but was unable. I'm assuming you carry her burden as well." she Asks the Girl. getting a nod from Naruko.
Tsunade Grabs and pulls her into a bone crushing hug, tears in her eye's, "I'm so Sorry for not being that for you, but I was told you died the Night the kyuubi escaped. What person leaves their Family to suffer the way you have, Needing to hide who you are."
Naruko unable to move or breathe starts to tear up, not out of lack of Oxygen but knowing she now has Family. Kurenai watches not knowing what to say, but realises that Naruko can't breathe, "Tsunade you are crushing her."
Tsunade realises and Drops her, "sorry." She says, wiping the tear out of her eye. Naruko Caught her Breath, "I'm sorry Lady, but who are you to me?" Naruko Asks curiously. "Right, I'm Senju Tsunade, I'm your Cousin, my Baachan was Uzumaki Mito, but I'm also your Godmother." she says to the Blonde Haired, Blue Eyed, Whiskered Girl, who doesn't know what to do with this Information.
"Why didn't Jiji Tell me I had Family?" She whispers to herself, before Vanishing in a swirl of Flower Petals, Kurenai wants to go after her student but knowing that it's better to leave the girl alone for now. In the Few months they have known each other, She has helped break her out of her shell and the fake persona she uses to protect herself, but she still knows she doesn't process things well.
"Should we go after her?" Shizune asks Kurenai and her Master but both shake their heads. "She needs some Time to process this." Kurenai says, "When I met her a few Months ago she was a Loud Mouth Arrogant Girl who hid under a Persona of So well Crafted that she Basically was a Boy. but after the First Month of Training I was able to get her to slowly open up about her past and let's just say, Veteran Shinobi have when through less that that Girl Has." Hearing this Breaks Tsunade's heart, "Do you think she will be OK?" Tsunade Asks. She Shrugs "I don't know Right now."
With Naruko
Naruko Wandering Through the Forest outside of the Town trying to get her thoughts together, When she Senses 5 People Surrounding her, when One Drops out of a Tree a Ninja Dressed as a Kiri Hunter Nin. "Uzumaki, We want the Kubikiribōchō." the Ninja says.
"No" is all Naruko Says, "Leave, I'm not in the Best of Mods Right now." she tells them. As the Other Drop Down, the same one Speaks "That's not an Option." as they Draw Tanto's, Naruko Not wanting to Deal with their Shit. Stop Hiding her Chakra letting it all out, it becomes Visible in the air. The Pressure of it Cracks the Ground, but then she Starts Leaking KI, Something she has been training With Fenrir, The KI is Visible in the shape of that of a Wolf, She Cast a Genjutsu, One that she has been Creating for the longest time but Finally Mastered when training with Fenrir 'Vision of Death' Similar to 'Magen: Narakumi no Jutsu' (Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique), but this one Creates They biggest Fear of Death and Makes them Feel it. And for the 5 of them they all have the same Fear getting Destroyed by the Three Tailed Beast. And they Feel like they are getting killed by The Three Tails, with Naruko's Dense Chakra increased with the Power of the Nine Tails it Morphes the Genjutsu to become Real.
Back with Kurenai, Tsunade and Shizune
Walking through the Town going to get something to Eat Whilst Naruko is Working things out, They Feel the Massive Bursted of Chakra in the Distance All along with every other Ninja in town, then are hit by the KI, "Naruko" Kurenai Whisper before Rushing off towards the Chakra, The Closer she gets the More the KI is intense followed by Tsunade and Shizune.
Arriving at the Clearing Ground Shattered, the 5 Kiri Hunter Nins on their knees Begging for Mercy, The Main one that was talking to her is Pinned to a Tree by Kubikiribōchō, She Shouts at them. "I am the Wielder of Kubikiribōchō, The Blade was handed to me by Zabuza and this Blade Choose me! TELL WHOEVER SENT YOU THAT THIS IS MY BLADE!" she shouts as her Ki and Chakra Calm down and they Retreat as fast as they can. As it is only the 4 of them left in the ruined section of the Forest.
Kurenai walks towards her student putting her arms around her from behind, "Lets head back to the Leaf." she says to the Blond Jinchūriki, getting a nod from her. Turning to Tsunade and her Apprentice, Naruko asks "are you coming with us as well, Tsunade-Itoko and Shizune-Chan?"
Tsunade doesn't even wait a second, "Yes, it's long overdue." She then Looks at Shizune who is smiling, "do we have everything?" the Girl Nodding "Let's go then before I change my Mind" Naruko Resealing Kubikiribōchō on her back, the group of Four head out for the Konoha, the normally 3 day journey talks only one because they want to move quick just incase anymore Kiri Hunter Nins show up.
Hokage's Office Week later
Sarutobi Hiruzen a man who is known as Shinobi no Kami, Fought and Survived two Great Ninja Words, Trained by the Second Hokage, a Man who has Mastered a thousand Jutsus, who only recently discovered the Trick to paper Work is Looking over the New Bingo Book.
