Between her internship and her night job, Fey barely had any time for herself. Despite this, though, she still somehow found plenty of time to worry about how Tenya was doing. He hadn't returned any of her text messages, which would have been unusual for him if Fey hadn't known what he was going through with his brother in the hospital. She figured he needed to be alone and focus on his internship, so she didn't press the issue. Plus, she barely had any time to worry about herself with all the responsibilities she was juggling at the moment.

Tokoyami and her had gotten a lot closer now that they were working together at the same agency. They were constantly trailing after Hawks, acting as his own personal clean up crew. Fumikage was in an even worse situation than Fey though, since he couldn't actually fly like they could. Fey was constantly waiting after him, feeling too guilty to leave him behind while Hawks went from one assignment to another. She had the capabilities to keep up with him, but she didn't want to leave her classmate in the dust, so she helped him when she could. This got them closer as friends, as they would often complain about the dirty work that Hawks was making them do as his interns. Fey held out hope though, that he would eventually teach them something worthwhile and that he was merely testing their resolve.

After a few days at the agency, things weren't looking like they would be changing any time soon. At the very least, having a familiar face with her during her internship made it a lot more bearable, and she figured that Tokoyami felt the same. As they were finishing up some paperwork at the end of the day, they had the TV on in the office playing the news so that there was some background noise while they finished up their work. Fey let out a long sigh.

"Man, this blows," she complained, leaning back against her chair.

"It's not the most gratifying work, I'll admit," Fumikage responded, his eyes glued to his screen.

Meanwhile, on the news, they started talking about something happening in Hosu City. Fey immediately perked up to see what was happening on screen. She increased the volume to better hear what the reporters had to say, which attracted Fumikage's attention as well. They both watched as the reporters announced that there was an ongoing attack going on in Hosu City and footage was shown of some grotesque-looking monsters that resembled the one that had attacked the U.S.J. facility with the League of Villains. The two students gasped as they realized what was going on in Hosu.

"Iida!" Fey exhaled as she got up from her chair.

"What are you doing, Fey?" Fumikage asked, following her with his eyes.

"I'm sorry Tokoyami, but I can't just stand here while this is going on."

She went for the door at the same time as Hawks was coming in to check on them. He was pushed aside by Fey as she left the office to go outside. Once she was out of the building, she flew up into the air and quickly made her way towards Hosu.

The city had been plunged into utter chaos. Fires had erupted in a few places and buildings were being destroyed by large monstrous beings with exposed brains. Nomus… just like the one that had attacked the U.S.J. If any of them had strength and power equal to the one All-Might had fought, that meant that the whole city was in trouble and that included Iida. Fey wasted no time in trying to find him, scouring the city in search of him or his mentor. Her gut was telling her that something was very wrong, but she couldn't put her finger on what. As she flew through the streets of Hosu, she heard a woman cry out for help as one of the Nomus was approaching her. As much as she wanted to find Tenya, she couldn't just let that thing get to her, so she turned back, speeding toward the lady and grabbing her before the monster could get to her. She lifted her up into the arm, carrying her in her arms bridal style.

"I've got you!" she said triumphantly. "Are you alright, ma'am?"

The lady nodded profusely, visibly very uncomfortable being this high up in the air. Fey looked around for a safe spot to land and returned her to the ground unharmed.

"Th-Thank you miss!" The woman said gratefully. "You saved my life!"

Fey looked at the woman running away, stunned by what she had said. She had saved her life, which meant… that she had successfully pulled off her first rescue. She could scarcely believe it. In all of her first days of internship, she had never gotten anywhere close to doing something like this, and yet she had pulled it off without even needing her mentor's aid. She jumped for joy, ecstatic at the prospect that she was already coming into her potential as a hero.

Her celebration was cut short though by the Nomu that had tried to attack the woman. He came at her crawling on the ground, sending chills down her spine. She was about to move when another hero suddenly appeared, kicking him in the face. He was a short man dressed in yellow, with boots that had holes underneath so that he could propel himself in the air at great speeds. Fey didn't recognize him from any of the heroes she had seen on television, but she was grateful nonetheless for his assistance.

"You better get out of here young lady before things get real' nasty," he said to her before jumping back into the fight.

Fey didn't especially want to stick around for that thing to start attacking her again, so she returned back to her initial task at hand. She started searching for Tenya again, flying over Hosu in hopes of spotting him from the sky. She spotted Manual instead, helping a team of heroes fight off three more Nomus as well as a fire, but there was also someone else. Fey could see Midoriya on the other side of the flames next to Manual.

"Deku!" she called out to him before appearing next to him a few seconds later.

"Fey! What are you doing here?" Izuku shouted in surprise. "Aren't you supposed to be at Hawks' agency? Is he here as well?"

"No I… I ran off on my own," she admitted ashamedly. "I'm looking for Tenya, have you seen him?"

"No I haven't…"

Fey looked around at the chaos that was going on around them.

"Tenya's not with Manual…" she noticed. "Where did he go?"

"I don't know, I just heard from Manual that he's run off on his own somewhere," Midoriya answered.

Izuku seemed just as puzzled as she was as to why Iida would have run off on his own during a crisis like this. It was something very out of character for him. Then, Midoriya's face changed, like he had just suddenly realized something. Then it also hit her. Iida, Hosu, where the Hero Killer had attacked, where his brother had been brutally injured… Tenya was after the Hero Killer, Stain all along.

"We have to find him, Midoriya!" Fey yelled in an urgent tone.

"Yeah! But where do we even start?" he asked, looking around.

"I've already covered this side of Hosu," she said as she pointed to where she came from. "We should concentrate our efforts here," she pointed in the opposite direction.

"Agreed! I'll go this way and you go that way!"

"That's a plan! If any of us finds him, we'll ping our location on our phones, got it?"

"Got it!"

They then both set out to find Tenya. As everyone else was running away from the fight, they were running towards it. Fey tried calling out for him, hoping he would answer, but instead, she could only hear the terrified screams of the city's civilians. Many had abandoned their vehicles where they were, fleeing the dangers that had suddenly erupted in their beloved hometown. Fey knew she needed to find Tenya and soon. The longer she didn't, the worse her gut feeling was getting. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity of searching, she heard the characteristic voice of the man she had been searching for.

"SAY WHAT YOU WANT ABOUT ME! YOU'RE STILL JUST A CRIMINAL WHO HURT MY BROTHER!"

Fey's eyes locked onto Tenya's position. She could see him lying face down in an alleyway with a man clad in a blood red scarf standing over him with his sword. That had to be him… The Hero Killer, Stain. Fey dove towards them in a flash, pulling back her fist as she was preparing to strike. In an instant, she appeared in the alley, planting her fist right in the Hero Killer's face, sending him flying backwards with all the momentum she had accumulated. He landed safely back on his feet, a few feet away, massaging his face with his hand.

"W… what?" Tenya said, confused. "Who's there?"

He recognized the sound of Fey's wings buzzing furiously behind her. She stared down the Hero Killer as he recovered from her punch. Tenya looked up to see her standing between him and Stain.

"Fey? But… how?"

She glanced back at him, then back at the Hero Killer.

"Don't worry, Tenya," she said. "I'm going to save you!"

Tenya could hardly believe what he was seeing. A million questions plagued his mind. How had she found him? Where had she come from? What was she even doing here in the first place? A sense of dread suddenly filled him as he realized how much in danger she was in at this moment.

"You need to get up, Tenya! The pros will be here any minute now," she ordered him, not looking away from Stain.

"I-... I can't move," he said through gritted teeth. "My body… It must be his quirk. Since he's cut me, I've been paralyzed!"

"That's what they said about him on TV…" Fey remembered as she quickly glanced over at Tenya.

She noticed the other hero lying further ahead in the alleyway. He seemed badly wounded, more wounded than Tenya was. She couldn't tell if he was still conscious or not.

"Fey please… don't get involved…" Tenya spoke with difficulty. "This doesn't have anything to do with you!"

Fey's eyes widened as she heard what Tenya said. She clenched her fists even harder, steeling herself even more.

"I'm not going anywhere Tenya!"

"You showed up to save your friend's life," The Hero Killer finally spoke. "You even made a big entrance… but I have a duty to kill him and this so-called 'pro'..."

Fey glared at him. "You're not gonna touch another hair on his body you monster!"

"Oh but that's where you misunderstand me, girl… When your friend chose to fight me, he guaranteed that the weaker of us would be culled. So, tell me… what will you do?"

Fey knew she couldn't take him on on her own. Luckily, she had already prepared her coordinates on her phone and was sending them to all her school contacts. If any of them were in the area, they might just respond to her SOS signal… In any case, Midoriya would probably be showing up very soon to back her up.

"Fey, listen to me!" Tenya called for her. "Stand down! Run away! I told you, this has nothing to do with you!"

"Have you already forgotten, Tenya?!" she shouted angrily. "The promise that we made to each other?! We said we would never abandon each other, no matter what! I'm not going to run away and leave you to die!"

She lifted her fists up, readying herself for a fight.

"Besides… as Midoriya would say, 'Meddling where you don't need to is the essence of being a hero'!"

Stain looked at her with a surprised look on his face, an expression that was quickly replaced with one of sadism.

"Fey, don't!" yelled Iida from the floor.

"Now Izuku!" Fey shouted.

Coming from behind the Hero Killer, Midoriya had suddenly appeared. He charged at him with one of his smashes, hitting him directly in the back which propelled him forward. Fey flew in to engage him at close range, but Stain swung with his blade even though he was falling forward.

"NO! If you get cut-!" Tenya yelled in a panicked voice.

Watching his blade closely, she slid underneath while angling her body backwards. Once she was cleared of his sword, she darted upwards so that he couldn't reach her, after which Midoriya stepped in to land in another smash, this time to the top of his head using aerial tactics he had learned from watching Bakugou. Fey celebrated his hit by pumping her fist in the air, but her enthusiasm was cut short when she saw Stain lift one of his daggers up to his mouth. He licked a small amount of blood from the blade which completely paralyzed Izuku moments after.

"Midoriya!" Fey called out as she was preparing to dive in to help him.

Before she could even move, Stain suddenly appeared in front of her, even though she was hovering in the air. Her eyes flashed with fear as he drew his blade to her face. Fey tried to dodge his attack by leaning backwards and diving towards the ground, but the tip of his sword lightly grazed her on the cheek, drawing blood. As they both fell back on the ground, Fey looked in horror as he licked her blood from his sword with glee. She felt her body becoming completely stiff, and the Hero Killer walked up behind her, pulling her against him by wrapping his arm around her neck.

"You know, there are plenty of false heroes around here that are all talk," Stain monologued. "But I think you and that green-haired guy were the only ones I deemed worthy of staying alive… A shame that I'm going to have to make an example out of you.."

He stared directly at Iida, smiling sadistically as he licked the wound from Fey's cheek in front of him. Fey shuddered, looking back at Tenya with terrified eyes.

"I'm… sorry Tenya…" she spoke with difficulty.

"You leave her alone!" Tenya shouted, his eyes filled with tears. "This is between you and me, Stain!"

"Wait no… stop it!" Midoriya cried out behind him.

Stain lifted his sword to Fey's neck, ready to slice it open with one swift slash. Fey's whole body shook as she could do nothing but watch as the Hero Killer would strike her down.

"Tenya…!" she cried.

"Please…! NOOO!" Tenya shouted as hot tears flowed from his wet blue eyes.

As he was about to slit her throat, Stain noticed a flash of light coming from the end of the alley. He quickly released Fey and pushed her towards the torrent of flames that was coming their way. Fey luckily fell to the floor before the flames could hit her and she fell next to Tenya.

"Another one to get in my way," Stain complained. "Today has been full of distractions…"

A familiar voice was heard from the end of the alley.

"Fey," Todoroki spoke. "You need to give more details in times like this. I was almost too late to stop this guy…"

Fey was relieved to hear Shoto's voice as he approached them, his left side ablaze.

"Todoroki? But… how?" Midoriya asked in a surprised tone. "And you're using your left side?"

"I… sent my location to the whole class," Fey explained. "Todoroki… must have been close by when he received my distress signal."

"Try to send more than just your location next time, Fey…" Shoto responded flatly.

He launched an ice attack along the ground, forcing Stain to pull back further into the alleyway. Then, Todoroki used his ice to slide Midoriya and the injured pro-hero towards him, grouping everyone together.

"You're just what they said you were," Shoto addressed Stain. "But you won't be taking anymore lives, Hero Killer…"

"Todoroki!" Midoriya called out. "You can't let him get any of your blood! I think he controls people by ingesting a portion of their blood!"

"That explains the blades…" Shoto replied. "That means I'll just have to keep my distan-"

One of Stain's daggers came flying at him, opening a gash on his cheek. Stain then charged at him with another dagger in hand, ready to slash him.

"You've got some good friends here, Ingenium…" he taunted Iida. "…or you did!"

As he went in to slash at Todoroki again, he summoned a pillar of ice in front of him, trapping Stain's blade inside. Something caught his attention, though: his sword. He had thrown it at the same time as his knife. While Todoroki was distracted, Stain tried to get in close to lick the wound he had opened on his cheek. Fortunately, Shoto had fast reflexes and shot another conflagration at the Hero Killer, who jumped backward to avoid it.

"Stop!" Tenya called out. "Why are you… doing this?! His fight… is with me! I inherited my brother's name! I should be the one to stop him!... The Hero Killer is MINE!"

"You're deciding… to be Ingenium now?" he heard Fey speak. "At the exact moment… you're going against… everything your brother stood for?!"

They all stared in shock as Fey miraculously started to get up from the ground. She seemed to be struggling to keep herself steady, but still managed to get up on her feet despite the Hero Killer's quirk.

"Can you even hear yourself right now, Tenya?! Do you think your brother would be proud of the way you're using his name to exact your vengeance?!" Her voice was filled with unbridled rage.

"Fey how-" Midoriya started to speak, but was cut off by her.

"If you could see the look on your face right now, Tenya…" she continued in a low voice. "This is exactly why I promised your brother… that I would look after you!"

She recalled the night she had spent at the hospital with Tenya and his family. While Tenya had taken his mother to the cafeteria downstairs to get her some coffee, Fey had been the one watching over Tensei while they were gone. While they were unavailable, he had woken up, calling for his little brother.

"Umm… T-Tenya went downstairs with your mother," she answered him. "They'll be back shortly…"

"Oh I see…" Tensei said in a raspy voice. "Who are you exactly?"

"Oh I'm… I'm Tenya's… friend. My name is Fey."

There was a silence between the two of them for a few moments, then Tensei spoke again.

"If he brought you here, it means that he trusts you… so can you promise me something, Fey? Will you watch over him for me? I know how devastating… this all is to him… and I need to know that he's got someone to look out for him in his darkest moments…"

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Fey had made a promise to him that day, that she was going to be there for Tenya no matter the situation… and she had failed him. She had let Tenya's dark thoughts fester while she was too scared to do anything about it. This wasn't just about her keeping her promise to Tenya, but also what she had promised his brother.

"You have a dark side, Tenya," Todoroki interjected. "Guess my family isn't the only one…"

"Careful… you guys!" Midoriya yelled as he was still trying to fight against the effects of Stain's quirk.

Suddenly, he felt his body free itself from his quirk. He wasn't sure how, but Fey could also feel that she had regained control of her movements. She started hovering above the ground, her wings buzzing behind her. Stain cut through Shoto's ice wall with his sword, sending chunks of ice flying everywhere.

"You blocked your own field of vision against an opponent that's much faster than you," he stated. "Rookie mistake…"

"Come get me then!" Todoroki taunted, before receiving two daggers in his right forearm.

"You're good, kid," Stain said as he jumped in the air to impale the injured pro-hero onto his sword. "Unlike him…"

Fey flew towards the pro-hero to grab him while Midoriya intercepted Stain mid-air. She then moved the hero further away from the fight, setting him down next to a wall.

"How are you guys moving?!" Shoto yelled.

"I'm not too sure!" Fey replied. "Deku?!"

After successfully pushing back Stain, Midoriya reconvened with his friends.

"I think it may have something to do either with the amount he ingested, the number of people he can affect with his quirk… or our blood type."

"If it's the last one," the injured hero groaned. "My blood type is type B."

"I'm… type A," Tenya replied.

"Fey, what type are you?" Midoriya asked.

"Type O, you?" she answered swiftly.

"Same as you!"

"So you've gone and figured it out, have you? Bravo…" Stain said sarcastically.

"It doesn't really help us though, knowing how his quirk works…" Deku said in a discouraged tone.

"I thought we could hurry and carry those two out of here," Shoto explained. "But it's no good, he's too fast. He can dodge ice and fire… I'd have to leave myself completely unguarded. Our best option is to hold and wait for the pros to arrive."

"You've already lost a lot of blood, Shoto," Fey noted. "Let me and Deku engage him while you support us from the back."

Midoriya seemed to be in agreement with her plan.

"You want us to take a pretty big risk," Shoto said in a low voice. "Alright, we can protect them!"

Stain exhaled sharply. "Three against one, huh? This fight ain't gonna be easy…"

Fey and Midoriya exchanged glances before charging simultaneously at the Hero Killer. They combined their attacks to try and hit him from multiple angles. When Stain would get too close to them, Todoroki blasted him with his ice attacks. Tenya watched helplessly as his friends fought tooth and nail for him.

"Midoriya… Fey… you've got to run," he whimpered. "I can't watch this…"

Todoroki growled as he launched another ice barrage at Stain.

"You want to make your brother proud?" he shouted. "Then stand up and become Ingenium! Be the hero he wanted you to be!"

At the same time, Midoriya had had his ankle slashed by Stain's weapon. He immobilized him instantly, pinning Izuku to the ground once again. Fey now had to fight him on her own with Todoroki supporting her, but his fighting style became more erratic and harder to predict. If the pros didn't arrive soon, she would probably go down like Midoriya and Shoto would probably be next.

Iida was questioning himself. Could he really call himself a hero, after what he had done? His friends were fighting for him, bleeding for him. Some of them were even willing to give up their lives just to save him. Deep down, he knew that what the Hero Killer had said was true. Fey and Midoriya were different from him. Even in her day-to-day life, Fey was always sacrificing herself so that other people could live a better life than she did. She always made sure everyone she touched was happy, oftentimes at her own expense. He couldn't possibly hold a candle to her dedication and bravery. But still… if he didn't stand up right now, he would never be able to be as good as all of them. He wouldn't be able to live up to his brother's name…

Fey's strength was waning. She tried to keep up with him, coordinating her attacks with Shoto so that she could have a better chance at defeating him. But she wasn't as strong as Midoriya was. Alone, she didn't stand a chance against the elusive Hero Killer. As she tried to dodge his attack one more, she saw him break through her defenses, aiming his sword directly at her abdomen. She thought for a moment that this was it. This was where she would die.

"RECIPROOOOO… BUUURST!"

Fey's eyes could hardly believe what she was seeing: Tenya had instantly appeared before her, his knee shattering Stain's sword and saving her from her imminent death.

"Tenya…" she whispered, still shocked by what she had witnessed.

He immediately chained his first attack with a second, delivering a devastating kick to Stain's side and sending him flying. Stain caught himself though, landing on his feet with his broken blade in hand.

"He's fast…" he growled.

"Todoroki, Midoriya, Fey…" Tenya began to speak. "This has nothing to do with you… I won't let any of you shed any more blood for me."

Fey let out a long sigh, before slapping Tenya across the face.

"When will you get it through your thick head?!" she yelled. "We're in this together, Tenya!"

Todoroki and Midoriya stared in shock at what Fey had done. Even Iida seemed surprised by her actions, but he didn't have time to respond to her before the Hero Killer spoke.

"No use in trying to pretend you're a hero now," Stain declared. "A person's true nature doesn't change in just a few minutes." He glared at Iida. "You'll never be anything more than a fraud who prioritizes his own desires. You're the sickness that's infected society and ruined the name hero. Someone must teach you a lesson…"

"You're a fundamentalist lunatic," Shoto spat. "Don't listen to this murderer's nonesense, Iida."

"No, he's completely correct," Iida answered. "I have no right to call myself a hero…"

Fey's previously angry expression turned to one of sadness. It pained her to see him at such a low point, he who usually held his head high and was so awe inspiring to her. Now, he looked completely broken, like his spirit had been shattered. It only lasted for a few moments though…

"Even so," he continued. "There's no way I can back down." His eyes were ignited with fiery passion. "If I give up now, then the name Ingenium dies right now."

"Pathetic!" shouted Stain, before charging at Iida.

Shoto pushed him backyards while simultaneously firing a huge stream of flames towards the Hero Killer.

"Idiots!" They heard a voice call from behind. "The Hero Killer is only after me and the guy in white armor… Stop fighting back!"

"I don't think he'd let me run even if I wanted to!" Shoto said as he strained to keep his quirk going. "Something clearly changed in him just now. He seems rattled."

Fey had also noticed him becoming more and more agitated and desperate in his attacks. He was trying to kill Iida and the other hero before the pros showed up. She wasn't going to give him the chance to… As he leaped from the wall he was previously perched on, she went to intercept him, punching him in the stomach before turning around swiftly to elbow him in the back. As he descended towards the ground, he caught himself with his hands and backflipped away from them. Todoroki blocked him off using his flames. Iida, on the other hand, seemed to be having trouble with his quirk.

Crap, did I break the radiator with that kick? He thought to himself. Then he got an idea.

"Todoroki! I need you to freeze my leg for me… without plugging the exhausts!"

A first dagger came flying towards Todoroki, but Iida intercepted it with his arm. Then a second one lodged in the same arm, pinning him down to the floor.

"Iida-!"

"Just do it, hurry!"

Fey knew what Iida was trying to do, so she tried the best that she could to buy him and Shoto as much time as she could. She started spinning rapidly around Stain, like she had done in the festival against Bakugou. The winds started to pick up around him, trapping him inside her tornado. He tried to cut his way through her currents, but the winds were too strong. If she could hold on long enough for the other three to come up with their attacks, then they might just have a shot at defeating him together.

Shoto quickly froze part of Tenya's leg as Iida grabbed the knife that was pinning him to the ground with his teeth. He pulled it out swiftly, groaning painfully as he sent the blade flying elsewhere. He then braced himself, bending his knees to give himself maximum lift.

"RECIPROOOO EXTEEENNND!"

Fey took that as her signal to make her own attack.

"CYCLONIIIIIC… RIIIIIFT!

She suddenly shot straight towards the sky, creating a powerful updraft that launched Stain straight into the air. Tenya launched himself only a second later with incredible velocity. Simultaneously, Midoriya jumped in after him, charging his own quirk. They both gave everything they had into their attacks, Iida on one side with his leg and Midoriya on the other with his fist. Their coordinated attacks sandwiched Stain in between their strikes, completely knocking the air out of him.

When they finally thought they had him, Todoroki was going to shoot another blast of fire in his direction, but Stain somehow managed to resist their combined attacks and grabbed for his broken sword. He swung at Tenya's head, barely missing him and cutting only a piece of his hair instead.

"I will defeat you, Stain!" Tenya shouted. "Because you are a criminal!"

"Don't let him get away!" Shoto shouted as he launched another conflagration from his left arm. Tenya followed up with an upwards kick. Once Todoroki's flame had gone, it was Fey's turn to follow up with an attack of her own. She flew straight down towards Stain, flying incredibly fast as she pulled back her fist to deliver one final devastating blow. With her increased velocity, she hit him straight in the stomach, sending him straight to the floor. The impact cracked the cement under him, but Fey also felt something snap in her right arm as she screamed in pain.

She managed to slow herself down just before she was going to hit the ground. Shoto caught Midoriya and Iida with an ice slide, telling them to stay on their guard. The Hero Killer laid on the ground, completely immobile.

"He's gotta be knocked out after all that… right?" Midoriya asked tentatively.

They looked at him for a moment, unsure if he was truly unconscious. Finally, Todoroki suggested that they tie him up before he woke up. They both looked around for some rope while Tenya just sat, dumbfounded by what had just transpired. Fey started confiscating Stain's weapons, searching him for anything he could use against them. She tossed them aside, trying to ignore the pain in her right arm. She didn't look at Tenya for now, too busy with the task at hand.

The four of them emerged from the alleyway with Stain in tow. The injured hero had recovered from Stain's paralysis and was carrying Midoriya on his back, since Stain had cut a huge gash on one of his legs. Fey helped Todoroki carry Stain out of the alleyway, since Tenya's arms had been severely injured by the Hero Killer's knives. Once they were out on the street, they were met with the same old man Fey had crossed paths with when she had first arrived in Hosu.

"What are you doing here boy?!" he yelled from across the street. He was addressing Midoriya.

"Gran Torino! I was only-..."

He was interrupted by him planting his foot in his face.

"I thought I told you to stay on the bullet train!" he continued to shout.

"Who's this?" Todoroki inquired.

"Gran Torino, the hero I'm interning with…" Midoriya answered painfully. "I don't get it… How'd you find us?"

"I was told to come here by someone else," the old man responded. "I have no idea what's going on, but I'm glad you're not dead at least..."

"Me too… and I'm sorry."

Simultaneously, a group of heroes approached from the other side of the street.

"Endeavor told us there was a request for help over here, but…" one of them explained.

"Those injuries look bad!" another noticed. "I'll call an ambulance right away."

"Hey, look!"

The woman that was with them gasped as she laid her eyes on their captured target.

"Is that the Hero Killer?!" she shouted.

"What?! I'll get the police on the line!"

"Can you walk?" the injured hero asked Midoriya.

"If you prop me up, then yeah," the young man answered.

"And you?" he turned towards Todoroki.

"Only minor injuries… but Iida…" Shoto said as all three of them turned towards Iida.

Tenya approached slowly, trying to ignore the blood that was trickling down his arms.

"You guys," he began speaking. "You were all hurt… because of me." He bowed his head down shamefully. "I'm truly sorry… I was just so angry and I couldn't… see anything else."

Tenya was crying in front of them. Fey's heart sank as she could see the regret in his eyes. She could feel her own eyes starting to water, seeing him in this state.

"I'm sorry too, Iida," Midoriya apologized. "You were going through so much by yourself that I couldn't tell anything was wrong… even though I'm your friend."

Fey eventually broke down in tears as well, taking Iida's head and shoulder into her arms and she sobbed into the top of his head.

"I understand…" she said to him. "The pain that you went through… I tried to be there but I just… I couldn't tell if you wanted me there or not so I… I'm sorry, Tenya… I'm so sorry!"

She held him tightly in her arms, completely ignoring the fact that her right arm was probably broken. Even though she was hurting physically, it didn't matter compared to the pain she was feeling inside her heart. After a few moments spent in each others' arms, Fey started to feel herself fall backwards. She had pushed her body beyond her limits and had expended every last drop of energy that she had. She went limp as Tenya caught her before she fell to the ground.

"F-Fey?!" he asked worryingly. "Fey what's wrong?! Oh god Fey please no… No no no no no… PLEASE! FEYYY!"

She had fallen unconscious into Iida's arms, her body's metabolism rapidly slowing itself down to preserve itself. She felt cold, as though she had died, and her pulse was so faint you could barely feel it. The three boys stared at her in shock, thinking for a moment that she had given up her life to save Tenya. But when the ambulance arrived, they took her pulse with one of their machines and reassured them that she was only unconscious, but barely alive.

But before any of them could climb inside the vehicle, something swooped down from the sky to grab hold of Midoriya. It pulled him into the air, taking him with it wherever it was going.

"H-Hey! Let go!" Izuku protested.

Some of the creature's blood splattered on the heroes down on the ground. Then, against all odds, the Hero Killer broke free of his bonds, licked the blood off of one of the hero's cheeks and immobilized the flying monster carrying Midoriya. As the creature came crashing down, Stain bolted toward him with eyes glowing red.

"The word 'hero' has lost all meaning in this society," he said as he ran towards them. "The world is overrun by frauds and criminals like you who chase petty dreams!"

He stabbed the creature in the brain with the knife he had used to cut himself from his bonds. Apparently, Fey had missed one of his weapons when she had previously checked him. He grabbed Midoriya before he fell to the ground.

"You must all be purged…"

Midoriya stared in fear at the Hero Killer standing right next to him. He couldn't believe he was still able to stand after everything they had dished out against him.

Stain exhaled loudly. "Everything that I do… is to create a stronger society."

He stood up, licking his lips like a starving animal. Everyone stared at him in shock, waiting for his next move.

"Why are you all standing around like fools?" A deep voice sounded from the end of the street. "The villain must have flown this way, right?"

A large man with red hair and facial hair made of pure flames arrived at the scene. Endeavor had been tracking the flying creature up until now. He stared down at the Hero Killer, who still had his back turned.

"Endeavor…" he growled, finally noticing the man.

His mask fell off slowly, revealing his face to everyone. Endeavor was getting fired up at the prospect of bringing down the Hero Killer. He was about to launch an attack against him, when Gran Torino yelled for him to stop. If he had blasted him with his flames, he would have certainly hit Midoriya.

Stain slowly turned towards Endeavor. "You false hero!" He stepped forward. "I'll make this right…!"

He looked completely inhuman underneath his mask. Everyone was frozen in fear at the mere sight of him. Even Endeavor was taken aback by his imposing presence. Stain shuffled forward, barely holding together.

"These streets… must run with the blood of hypocrites!" He gasped painfully. "HERO! I… will reclaim that word!" He stomped his foot forward. "COME ON! JUST TRY AND STOP ME YOU FAKES!"

He had such an impressive aura about him that shook everyone present to their core. Even the most hardened of heroes couldn't help but feel uneasy around him.

"There's only one man I would let kill me… He is a true hero…" He paused. "ALL-MIGHT IS WORTHY!"

His face completely froze up once he said those words. He dropped his weapon and completely stopped moving. It was later found out that his broken rib had pierced one of his lungs and that he had lost consciousness right then and there. Although he had not tasted anyone's blood, nobody could bring themselves to face him. Only the Hero Killer had any fight left in him that night. But from the corner of Midoriya's eye, he saw a shadow move in the darkness. It left his vision as soon as he tried to turn to see what it was. Whatever it was, it had witnessed the Hero Killer's fall that night, and would probably come back to haunt them in the future…
