In the first few days following the end of their internships, Fey diligently studied with Tenya for their upcoming Final Exams. But as the day of the written test approached, Tenya could sense her becoming more and more unfocused. She seemed tired all of the time and he had, on multiple occasions, found her asleep while he was reading his notes to her. He wondered why she wasn't devoting her full attention to her studies and why she was so exhausted all of the time. If she couldn't adequately focus on studying for the exam, she wouldn't pass the finals and wouldn't get to go to the training camp during summer.

Then, it suddenly hit him. Maybe she didn't want to go to the training camp? Now that he thought about it, she did seem very unenthused whenever he or Midoriya would bring it up. There was also the situation regarding her work and her family. Suddenly, it all made perfect sense: it's not that she didn't want to go, she just couldn't go in the first place…

As Fey leaned half-asleep against the wall of the café where Tenya had brought her to study, he slowly approached her and woke her up gently. Fey was startled by Tenya's sudden appearance and blushed when she realized she had fallen asleep again.

"I-I' sorry Tenya!" she quickly apologized. "I-I'll pay attention this time, I promise!"

Tenya sat down next to her, wrapping his arm around her to pull her close. Fey was surprised by his reaction, since she blatantly hadn't been paying attention to his lessons.

"My Star," he said to her in a concerned tone. "I've noticed you've been a bit… 'off' lately."

Fey's face contorted into an anxious expression as she turned away from him, realizing that her recent behavior hadn't gone unnoticed.

"Is something the matter, Star? You know you can tell me if something is bothering you…"

She could feel her emotions rapidly boiling up to the surface. Something had definitely been bothering her, something that she didn't want to share with Tenya. Her eyes began to water as the pressure was mounting uncontrollably. Finally, when she couldn't take any of it any more, she turned towards her boyfriend with tears running down her face.

"It's my job again…" she whimpered. "They've… been really upset at me since the internships… They're forcing me to work more so I can catch up on all the work that I missed."

Tenya could feel the anger rising inside of him. He had figured her workplace had had something to do with her being so unfocused lately.

"But Tenya… There's more…"

He looked at her with an even more concerned look on his face.

"They… They know about us," she declared reluctantly. "The other day, after we… After I spent the night with you, a folder arrived at the front of my door. I was lucky one of my brother's hadn't picked up the mail yet. Inside, there were pictures of us… at your house! They had pictures of you, pictures of your parents, they even had pictures of your brother at the hospital! I think they're threatening to hurt you if I don't listen to them… That's why I've been so off lately! That's why I can't focus on my studies! Because if I pass the exams, I'll have to attend Summer Camp and… and I just-...! Tenya?"

He suddenly got up from his chair and started picking up their stuff without saying a word. His face was incredibly serious as he shoved their books back into their bags. He held Fey's back out towards her, not looking at her, but she could still see the anger in his eyes.

"We're leaving," he announced gravely.

"Wha-..." Fey barely had time to form the words.

"NOW!"

Fey was startled by Tenya's tone of voice and instinctively grabbed her bag from his hand. He then stormed out of the café, not even looking behind him to see if she was following him. Fey followed nonetheless, running after him to catch up.

"Tenya what is going on?" she asked, desperately trying to figure out what he was doing. When he didn't answer, she continued. "Can you at least tell me what it is you're trying to do?!"

He stopped abruptly and turned to her, his eyes seething with anger. She looked at him with a tinge of fear as he pushed her into an alleyway.

"I take threats towards my family extremely seriously, Fey," he said to her in a growling voice. "If people are out there, trying to hurt MY family, I'm not just going to stand by and let them!"

Fey started to shake uncontrollably. "Y-You're not seriously considering going after them, are you?!" she asked incredulously.

"No…" he answered more calmly this time. "I've learned my lesson when it comes to enacting vengeance…"

He looked down at his left arm. Since he'd injured it, he had taken the habit of wearing a compression sleeve on his left forearm. He looked at it intently, before turning his attention towards Fey.

"I'm going to inform my family of the threat that is looming over us," he proclaimed without hesitation.

"What?! You can't do that!" Fey protested vehemently. "What if the people that are trying to kill them find out?! What if they're listening to us right now?! And what are they going to think of me once they find… everything out…"

She collapsed onto the wall behind her, sliding down towards the ground. She felt so helpless right now, so overwhelmed by everything that was happening around her.

"And there's also my family that's in danger, Tenya! Are you going to risk my family's safety as well?!"

"Your family IS my family, Fey!" he shouted at her. "And if you're worried about how my parents will feel about you if they find out what kind of life you've lived to keep your family safe, don't be! Because I'll be there! I know who you are, who you truly are, and you're more than just the choices you've made… You mean everything to me, Fey, and I'm not going to stand by while you or my family are being tormented from the shadows."

He also worried about how his parents would react to all of this, but he had a duty to keep his family safe at all costs and that also included Fey. She kneeled down in front of her, taking her hands into his and forcing her to look at him.

"Please, Star," he pleaded. "You don't have to suffer through this alone anymore…"

She looked into his pleading eyes. She wanted to believe it was possible to live without fear of repercussions on her or her family. She desperately wanted to believe that Tenya would be able to help, to make all of the hurt go away. Despite it all seeming too good to be true, she had to at the very least try…

"A-Alright," she finally agreed. "We'll do it your way."

"Thank you for trusting me, Fey," he sighed, relieved to see that she was finally letting him in. "I promise you, I will do everything I can to keep you and your family out of harm's way."

She simply nodded, still shaken up by what was currently unfolding. He helped her up and hoisted her onto his back.

"You better hold on tight, my Star," he warned her as he stood his mark.

"W-Wait Tenya! You're not supposed to use your-...!"

Without warning, he activated his quirk and started to run with her on his back towards his family's estate. Fey held on as tightly as she could so that she wouldn't fall off and in no time at all, they were back at Tenya's house. The two of them rushed inside, Fey's hair completely standing on end due to all the wind that had been rushing through it previously. She was also a bit dizzy from Tenya going so fast without warning her first.

"Mother! Father!" Tenya called out into his home.

One of the maids nearby came out of the room she was cleaning.

"Is everything alright, Master Tenya?"

"Please, I need you to go get my parents. The situation is urgent!"

"Yes of course! Right away sir!"

Tenya turned his attention to Fey, who was still reeling from all the emotions and the ride she had just gone through. He started combing through her hair with his fingers, trying to flatten them as much as possible with his hand.

"Are you alright, my Star?" he asked attentively. "I'm sorry if that was a bit rough for you."

"I-I'm… fine…" she answered unconvincingly.

Seconds later, Tenya's parents suddenly appeared at the other end of the hallway, looking very worried.

"Tenya what's going on?" his mother asked worryingly. "Did something happen?"

"Not exactly," he answered. "But I'd prefer if we discussed this in the living room."

She nodded as she brought them into the living room. The four of them sat down facing each other, with Tenya and Fey on one sofa and his parents sitting across from them on another sofa.

"Now, can you tell us what's going on?" his father replied. "You're starting to worry me, Tenya…"

"I-It's complicated…" he began speaking. "Please! I need you to listen to me before speaking. It's important."

"But of course darling," his mother reassured him.

Tenya went on to explain Fey's situation to his parents, seeing as she was too distressed and worried to speak on her own behalf. He held her the whole time he explained to them her life's story, telling them about the death of her father, her mother's illness and how she had come to Japan in order to study at U.A. He also told them the truth about what she did for a living, telling them that it was the only option at the time where her family had been desperate for money. He also told them about the villains that owned the Lush and how Fey had been threatened by them. He finished off by saying that they were also targeted by these villains and that they had taken pictures of their house and of Fey's home as well.

Tenya's father inhaled deeply, closing his eyes as he pinched the bridge of his nose. There was a long silence for a few moments, before he turned his attention over to Fey.

"These pictures," he started to ask. "Where are they now?"

Fey was absolutely stunned by the fact that he had not commented anything about the fact that she was actively working with villains and the life she was living. She was too stunned to speak for a few seconds, before she shook herself back to reality and grabbed her bag from where she had left it on the floor.

"I-I have them here," she stuttered nervously. "I didn't want to leave them at home where my family could stumble on them."

She slid the folder out of her bag and placed it on the coffee table in front of her. Tenya's father grabbed it to examine its contents with his wife. They both started to blush suddenly and it occurred to Fey that she hadn't removed any of the intimate pictures they had taken of her and Tenya from the folder. She hadn't had time to show Tenya any of the pictures either so he couldn't understand why his parents seemed so embarrassed all of a sudden. None of them spoke a word about it though and just flipped over to some different pictures.

"These were taken only a few days ago," Tenya's father replied. That means we might have a security breach on our hands…"

"You mean… this could be an inside job?" Tenya exclaimed in a shocked tone.

"For them to have gotten so close to the house like that… They could only have been taken by someone who had access to the grounds."

Tenya was shocked by what he was hearing. Never would he have thought that someone so closely related to his family could have had a part to play in these threats against them. He was absolutely seething with rage at the thought that someone they had given their trust to was now actively trying to have them killed.

"Fey," Tenya's father continued. "Does your family have anywhere else to go that is safe?"

Fey started to think about friends and family they could possibly stay at, but with her mother's family not wanting anything to do with them and the fact that she had been too sick to reconnect with old friends, she realized how isolated they were. The villains she had been working for all this time had probably counted on that when they had made their threats against her.

"I-I… don't think so…" she reluctantly confessed. "My mother's family is… uncooperative to say the least and my mother is too sick to have many friends."

"In that case, I'd like for them to stay at one of our safehouses for the time being."

His sudden declaration shocked her. He had never even met them and he was already ready to sacrifice so much for their safety. They had barely even gotten to know each other when she had visited, but despite all he had heard and the fact that she had unwittingly put his family in danger, he was still offering her more help than she could have ever wished for. She sniffled, trying to contain her feelings but the situation was just all too much for her.

"Thank you sir…" she whimpered before choking on her tears.

He smiled at her. "You've been dealt a bad hand in life, Fey, but now you don't have to bear all of your burdens on your own anymore. You're part of this family now, and we protect our own, no matter the odds."

She started sobbing loudly, hardly believing what he had just said to her. Tenya held her against his chest, tears welling up in his own eyes. He himself was almost surprised by what his father had proposed, but was incredibly relieved to hear that they hadn't judged her as harshly as he had thought they would.

"We should also bring Tensei home before something else happens to him," Tenya's mother said.

"Yes," her husband agreed. "I'll have a trusted friend pick him up from the hospital. In the meantime, I'll call for another friend to have your family picked up from your home, Fey. I just need the adresse."

Fey nodded and pulled out a paper and pen from her bag to write down her adresse for him. After handing off the paper to him, she immediately got up from the sofa and bowed deeply in front of them.

"Thank you so much for all your help," she said gratefully. "I… I have no idea… how I'll ever get to repay you…!"

"There's no need for that, my dear," Tenya's father smiled. "As I said, you're family now and we would do this with any of our family members."

She nodded once again, straightening up to wipe away the tears that were running down her face.

"But what about all of you?" she asked in a concerned voice. "You can't just stay here, especially if there's a leak in your security…"

"We'll also be staying somewhere else," he responded to her. "You and Tenya will also be staying in a safehouse somewhere. I'll share the details with him later and you can both make your way there. I'll also have some guards accompany you just so that you two can stay safe."

Tenya nodded at what his father said, getting up so that he could wrap his arm around Fey's shoulders.

"Everything's going to be fine, my Star," he reassured her with a smile. "Just let us handle everything from here on out, and it'll all be resolved."

He wiped a tear from her cheek with the back of his finger. She sniffled a bit before nodding in response. They were then excused while Tenya's father made some calls. Tenya brought her into the hallway to hug her tightly, breathing in deep as relief washed over his body.

"I can't believe how much property your family owns, Tenya," Fey said with a slight joking tone.

"I try… not to boast too much about my family's possessions," he admitted. "I don't want to seem like some rich spoiled kid when everything my family has made has been the result of hard work over many generations."

"It's impressive… how different our families are…"

"Hopefully yours will be in a better position very soon…"
