Chapter 1

It was a glorious autumn day; it was a bright cloudless day; the sun was giving off a slight glow as it reflected off the lightly golden-brown leaves; there was also a strong yet cooling breeze indicating the slow change from summer to the icy winter and morning frost.

But as glorious as the day was, it was a sheer contrast to the moods of the Mayor and her Sherriff as they both tried to escape from the hell beast known as Chernabog, a lesser demon that feasts upon those with the greatest potential for darkness. Their plan was simple, yet also so difficult...they had to get this beast across the town's line and into the land without magic, a world where this monster wouldn't be able to survive.

"What made you choose yellow?" The mayor asked her Sherriff with a slightly nervous tick as they drove down towards the orange town line where they hoped to trick this demon away from their citizens and the safety of the town and into the world without magic.

"What!?" The sheriff or more commonly known as Emma Swan asked. She was quite perplexed at this odd question that was thrown at her unexpectedly.

"Your bug! Yellow, bold choice," The mayor or more commonly known as Regina Mills explained as she tried to forget that there was once again a monster after her blood and darkness.

"I like yellow... I stole it," Emma stated in fond exasperation, knowing fully well that this was one of Regina's ways to distract her from the current danger they were in. "Also, is this really the time to question my taste?"

"Sorry...I am just trying not to think about being some demon's lunch." Regina explained with a slight trimmer in her voice.

"You're not going to be," Emma murmured with as much confidence towards the nervous mayor she could muster.

"I am glad you're confident," Regina said tightly, just as the demon decided to land upon the roof of the moving yellow bug. "What is this thing made of...tin?" Regina exclaimed, terrified at the idea of what would happen to her if this beast got ahold of her.

Meanwhile, Emma sped onwards closer towards the town line while trying to keep Regina calm and safe.

"Hang on, we are almost there," Emma stated with a hint of desperation while trying not to lose control of her bug.

"It's too late! I am not going to let both of us die in this metal coffin on wheels," Regina exclaimed before murmuring softly. "Thanks for trying, Miss Swan."

With that said, Regina Mills allowed her purple magic to take over as she poofed out of the yellow bug and appeared once again just in front of the orange town line. Regina stood there waiting as well, hoping that this beast would take the bait and attack her instead of Emma or the town. This is after all the only plan she had that would save her town and the people within from this monster demon beast.

However, the beast had no desire to move from the roof of the yellow bug, finding the Sherriff a more appetizing specimen than that of the former Evil Queen.

Meanwhile, the young sheriff did not stand ideal with the attacks on her. With a lot of confidence and determination, Emma Swan sped up her bug before stomping upon her brake causing the beast to fly from the roof of the car and past Regina and the town line. This action was exactly what the two powerful women had hoped for as the demon incinerated into nothingness.

"So, are we truly going to allow Cruella and Ursula into our town?" Emma asked softly, as she moved out of her car and towards the mayor.

"Unfortunately, yes." Regina sighed. "However, if there is any wrong move on their part, then I want you to punish them to the full extent of the law."

"Okay, Regina...I trust you on this." Emma murmured to the concerned mayor.

Just then Snow White and her Prince Charming arrived at the town line in hopes of stopping the mayor and the sheriff from allowing the two known villains into their town.

"Emma, wait...You cannot let them in! This is a bad idea," Snow White said to her daughter hoping to prevent the sheriff from throwing the scroll over the line and toward the two villains.

Meanwhile, just outside the town stood a remarkably familiar black and white luxury vehicle, next to this iconic vehicle stood the two known villains that expressed their wish for a chance at redemption.

"Look they might have told the truth this time," Snow stated before continuing. "But it doesn't mean that they can be trusted."

"Mom, this doesn't sound like you," Emma replied with slight worry. "You always believe the best in everyone."

"I am also a realist," Snow said to her daughter and Regina.

"Emma, she's right," David said in confirmation of his wife's statement before continuing. "Things were just starting to get back to normal here in Storybrooke."

"You too?" Emma asked, looking confused, at her parents' sudden change.

"Look, we don't know anything about these two," Snow said as Emma looked on in disappointment at her parents. "They could be looking for redemption, but they also could be as evil as Mr. Gold or Zelena or even worse."

However, Emma did not agree with what her parents just said, so with some disappointment, Emma answered with a firm yet calm tone. "That could be, but they just helped us, and we made a deal. Why aren't they allowed to seek their second chance at redemption?"

"Doesn't matter if we made a deal. It's a bad idea. They are villains, Emma!" Snow panicked at the mere thought of these two crossing the border.

"You are right, they are horrible. But they are not as horrible as I once was and if I deserve a second chance then so do, they." Regina reasoned calmly at the two panicked heroes. "How can I sit here looking for my happiness and deny two others a chance at theirs?"

"I still believe that we should not let them in, we cannot have any more villains in our town," Snow said with a resigned sigh.

Emma narrowed her eyes at her mother, suspiciously. "No, there is more to this than that they are villains. What is the true reason you don't want them here?"

Snow looked pained as she looked away from her daughter toward her husband, not trusting herself enough to look into Emma's suspicious eyes. "I don't believe these two are sincere with their desire for redemption, please Emma, remember a leopard would never change its spots."

Emma felt her superpower go off, here her mother stood lying about something that involves these two iconic villains, but she could not seem to figure out what the lie was. Emma gently moved away from the princess' and her shepherd and took a step toward the mayor, who stood silently after she said her word.

"I agree with Regina. We'll let them in," Emma murmured. "They helped us with the demon, so look at this as a will of good faith. They deserve the chance to prove themselves the same way Regina did."

Emma glanced at the brunette next to her and met the woman's warm chocolate gaze. The sheriff could see a brief instant of shock before it was swept away with a small grin. Emma returned the smile before turning to her parents once again.

The Charming's eyes were quickly filled with hurt and sadness, for one they saw this act of taking Regina's side as a betrayal to them and for what they stand for. The Sherriff shook her head at the naive couple before handing over the scroll to the former Evil Queen.

Meanwhile, Regina slowly and with slight hesitance drew back her arm before sending the scroll sailing through the barrier and straight to the two waiting villains.

"Very nice," Emma admired the gorgeous Mayor and her movements.

"Don't be so shocked, Miss Swan," The oblivious mayor smirked as she turned to the blond. "I was a single mother towards our son for almost ten years after all. It only stands to reason that I would have had to pick up a few things when it came to raising him."

"Ah, no I wasn't shocked at the capability of your throwing experience, Madam Mayor. No, I've learned throughout the years of knowing you to never underestimate you, on the contrary, I am rather impressed..." Emma stated with a slightly suggestive wink.

However, their banter was quickly interrupted by the sound of an older model engine revving. The Mayor and her Sherriff both watched on as the remarkable yet imposing white and black car slowly rolled across the orange town line on the asphalt before coming to a stop next to the four citizens of Storybrooke.

"Welcome to Storybrooke, dears." Regina greeted the women with the strength and confidence of a true queen.

"Thank you, darling," Cruella responded, eyes flickering between the Mayor and the Sherriff before moving towards the Charming's. "You won't regret it."

"I'd better not," Regina stated before following the car with her eyes as it made its way into their town and to the rest of the unsuspecting citizens.

Just as the iconic car moved past Emma, the young sheriff caught sight of her parents. Snow had her forehead pressed against David's shoulder while he had his arms wrapped around her in a tight embrace, in such a way to protect her from all the evils of the world. The Sherriff stared at them for only a moment, before moving towards Regina, she wasn't quite sure why they were so affected by the event that had just occurred, however, this was a question that will only be solved as time went on.
