A/N: This is the start of my responses to Prompts people send to me, or ones I make up myself. Before I show the scene, I'll explain what the Prompt is and what I would have to do. Let's go.

The Confession Prompt

What has to be done: Using one of your OCs, write a confession between him/her and a character that you pitched or was pitched to you that you considered but decided against in favor of another character. Before you write the scene, tell me who the pairing is, the verse, who was the pairing actually with, and why you didn't do it with this pairing.

Pairing: Benji & Tanya

Verse: Mortal Kombat

The Pairing that won out: Benji & Jade initially (Sareena was added later)

Why I fell back: Tanya having a redemption arc was overdone, and I didn't want to follow the trend despite wishing to do so badly. And I made Night of Malice, which explored a lemon scene between the two.

The Scene

I awoke with a stinging sensation on my abdomen that hurt like hell. Yet, I'm alive and forgot how hard Liu Kang's kicks were. Him being a revenant threw all thoughts of mercy out of the window, godfather or not. I saw my shirt and duster hanging on one of the bed's edges, so I grabbed and put them on.

As I clothed myself, I looked out the window. I'm in Edenia, not caught in the crossfire by Shinnok and Quan Chi's attack on the Forces of Light. I heard the door open behind me and turned to see the person who I'm assuming saved me from Quan Chi's crew of Revenants. It was the absolute last person I thought would help me.

Tanya.

She saw me up and gasped before running to hug me. I winced after she made contact and pulled her off when I noticed a strange detail.

Her eyes had irises, no longer blank gold orbs. Additionally, her general demeanor was more positive than when I saw her last.

"Tanya? You were the one who pulled me out of hell?" I asked, afraid of the answer.

"Yes, thank the Gods I intervened in time. I just came back from telling Jade that I brought you back. She wasn't as happy as I thought when I told her the news. Not as happy as your sister."

I ignored her answer by asking another question. "What happened to your eyes, Tanya? Last time I checked, they were the same color as your top."

"I... had a lot of time to reflect after Duffeck killed Shao Kahn. Being among Shao Kahn's court was a subconscious fuel of anger towards Jade and Sareena. Only through realizing that did I gain complete control of my pyromancy. As a result, my eyes reverted to normal. But I'm in perfect health. I wish I can say the same for you, Benny."

She tried easing me back on the bed. "You need to rest and let the wounds heal."

I pushed her hand away. "Why did you save me? I've nearly killed you multiple times, and you nearly killed the people I care for more than that."

"Because I love you, Benny. I will always love you. I admit the past few years, I've been psychotic, hostile, and psychopathic," she admitted. "You must know I did all of those things because I wanted to be yours. At the time, the love and affection I had for you were radically perverted."

"Just because you saved my life and Jade, Sareena, and I are no longer together doesn't mean that you get a pass."

Tanya gasped. "They left you? No wonder Jade treated your life as if it was secondary. How did that even happen? When I recovered, I started liking seeing you two together."

Did she just admit to approving of my and Jade's relationship?

"Jade let paranoia win out over the marriage and convinced Sareena to think the same way. The venom Cal spat at them both could melt titanium."

"Paranoia at what? Me?"

"You and Sareena. Li Mei and Ms. Ashrah joining the effort didn't help either," I answered as my wounds started aching again.

Tanya rushed to help me sit at the bedside. "Though I may not harbor any more ill feelings towards Jade and Sareena, it feels good that I'm competition to them. I guess my initial word that I would no longer pursue you wasn't enough. But I didn't think they would desert you."

"Being the General of the Freedom Fighters might've been the final nudge needed to question my loyalty. The only time I've been disloyal to Jade, she was convinced to add Sareena to the marriage. I'm starting to think that Jade herself was unfaithful to us. But looking into that can wait until after Shinnok is dealt with."

I stood up, Tanya mirroring my motion. "You are heading for Earthrealm? Let me accompany you. Mrs. Maddox would appreciate that I did what she asked of me."

"Mom told you to help me in hell?"

Tanya nodded. Sounds like she got on everyone's good side while I worked Kenshi with and Jax. "Fine, let's go."

"One more request?" Tanya silently pleaded, a blush creeping across her face.

"What, Tanya?"

She bit her lip, gazing at me with hopeful eyes. "May I... kiss you?"

"What? So you can tell Jade?" I jokingly answered.

Her blush deepened. "I would never. Maybe if I was still a stalker of yours, but not as I am now. I... I just want the pleasure is all," Tanya answered truthfully.

*Tch* "Fine, just one."

"Mmhm. Okay."

Tanya closed the distance between us and stood on her toes, so our faces were leveled. We both leaned in, space continually closing. Until... We shared a soft but deep embrace, tongues testing the waters before seamlessly melding together. Tanya's nipples prodded my chest as I felt her arms wrap around my neck. Neither of us backed away, the kiss deepening as moans escaped our mouths.

Suddenly, I unlocked memories where I pinned Tanya against the wall and shared a kiss similar to this one. Her athletic frame was bare against mine as we melded perfectly... as I penetrated her heavenly vice.

Where I said, 'I love you.' to her.

This must've happened to Tanya too as she broke away first in confusion. "Did you see that?"

"See what exactly?" I asked to confirm my suspicions.

Her returning blush was the only answer I needed. "Yes, I did. Where we..." Tanya's hands began to shake. "...slept together. But we never-"

"Maybe in another time and space, we did. But how did-"

"I don't know, and I don't want to. There was malice in those memories, not unlike now. The chances of that happening are low to none, but it will be under a more joyous occasion if you ever lay with me. That I promise, Benny." She felt on her cheeks. "Oh, my. Is it getting hot in here?"

"No, but I... enjoyed the kiss, Tanya. Your tongue is skilled in frenching as it is with speaking," I complimented.

"And your lips were even more inviting than I imagined," she replied. "But we can save the compliments for later. Mrs. Maddox can give you a more detailed diagnosis of your injuries. Come.

A/N: This is the first of what I hope will be a long series of Prompt Responses. My editor and I send prompts to each other recently so I decided to make a story where they can go. Since they'll be easily lost if I put them in with the MoIs. I'll place them in the MK section since the first prompt I'm uploading is from an AU of GbNF. He's actually insisting I expand on this response. I might, I don't know at the moment I don't really know where I can take it.
