Miss Queen B: Hello Dear Readers and Surprise! Notes:

Note One: Boy, I never thought I would ever get to this one-shot, or should I say two-part story, I mean it's been a year since I posted the title "Mist" with a "Coming Soon" sign on it. lol. Though part of me is glad I've waited this long since thanks to the movie GvsK, it gave me a little more material to work with. Either way, I'm sorry for the long wait and hopefully this two-part chapter Book will make up for it. I can't thank you Readers enough for your patience.

Note Two: So this is my first Human Point of view story starring Madison Russell and the last part of my Water Series collection. It was a little tricky writing it through her perspective, but I gave it my best short. There are other characters in here, but it mostly focus on her. You'll also see a lot of Dr. Ilene Chen and Dr. Rick Stanton in here as well since they were my favorite characters in the KOTM movie. All in all, this is just a "Warm, feel good" story about Maddy. It's mellow, sad, funny and happy all mold into one.

Note Three: The time line...I'm not going to lie, the Time was a real pain in the ass to figure out since the first part of this story is about Maddy and what she's been doing during the five years span between KOTM and GvsK so of course I have to go back to my pervious stories (all the way back to Playing with Fire) to make sure if the time-line fits in or not. I'm sorry if the time-line is a bit off, if anything I'll eventually go back and readjust it in my other stories to make sure it's correct. Bare with me, I'm trying here.

Note Four: So about this chapter: Maddy is dealing with normal teenage drama in her life which include rebuilding a relationship with her father, learning to cope with her mother's mistakes, forming a mother/daughter friendship with Dr. Chen and learning even Titans have their own set of problems and drama. Lastly, Maddy and Monarch are left dumbfounded when a new Baby Titan was discovered.

Note Five: Rated T: For Adult language, adult humor and slight violence and gore. Enjoy.

One Day after Boston:

It was the day after Boston, the day after she witnessed Godzilla defeat Monster Zero and basically take back his Title as King. Though it was a tremendous loss for both humans and Titans. Godzilla lost his one ally, Mothra and from what her father told her he lost his underwater home. A bit peeve they would blow up his home after everything they did to him, but her father said it was the only way to help him defeat Monster Zero. It was understandable, but still...it rubbed her the wrong way. It seems like human society is putting themselves on thin ice when it comes to co-existing with Godzilla. How much more can that massive Titan take before he finally snaps? She can still remember Dr. Stanton's words while they watch Godzilla burn the last bit of Monster Zero's head into ash.

"Jesus, Good thing he's on our side"

Only to hear Dr. Chen whispered, "For Now…"

She snapped out of her thoughts when she felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up to see her tired father's concerned face. The sound of the helicopter that dropped them off not even a minute ago was slowly fading in the background. "Are you ok, Maddy?" Mark asked.

She stared at the large cabin her dad has been staying at for who knows how long and realized this was her new home for the time being. She had nowhere else to go and with her mom gone, her dad was the only family member she had left even though they haven't spoken in a year or two.

"I'm fine, Dad…." She said, feeling cold all of a sudden. Now that things have settled down, it felt like she was talking to a complete stranger. "Just taking a look at my new home." She said, glum.

Mark nodded and patted his daughter's shoulder. "Maddy, I know what happen yesterday was-

"Dad, really, I'm fine. I'm just ready for a shower and some sleep." Maddy said, walking over to the cabin without looking back to see if her dad was following or not. Her head hurt like hell. She was covered in bumps and bruises that her father insisted they should go to the hospital for a check up, but she was fine. So many people died yesterday, she can handle her sore and battered body.

Five Days after Boston:

Maddy slowly opened the door to her father's bedroom and stared at the lump shaped blankets. Her dad has been asleep for the past five days and she didn't have it in her to disturbed him. Dealing with Titans, your friend and ex-wife dying, and the world nearly ending can take a lot out of a person. It sure did for Maddy since she slept for two days before waking up from a nightmare. The same nightmare that's been plaguing her for the past five days. She would see her mother, holding on to that ORCA device she created with her arms while giving her that look of horrible guilt. Begging Maddy for some sort of support, but the only thing that came out of her mouth was her calling her mother a "Monster." That left her with a lot of conflicted thoughts about her mother. She felt bad knowing that was the last thing she called her own parent before screaming at her about how much of a failure her plan was to bring "Balance" to the world. Maddy couldn't believe someone as smart and calculated as her mother and those stupid Echo-terrorist were would be so stupid to think some creature like Monster Zero could be control. She was more angry at herself for believing her mother in the first place. Part of her wonders if that was the reason her Mother sacrifice herself: to escape the mess she made and not to buy them time to escape from Monster Zero's demise.

She closed the door to her father's room and dragged her feet over to the kitchen for breakfast. Deciding she had enough cereal for a lifetime, she decided to cook some bacon and toast instead. She let out a small sad chuckle, remembering the last breakfast of bacon and toast was with her mother, right before Titanus Mothra woke up, and she burned it due to her being distracted. She was so worried about her mother during that time, regretting never sending that e-mail to her dad about it. Her mother was mostly in her lab working on that machine of hers and Maddy felt like she didn't exist anymore to her. She was homeschool since her mother didn't want her out of her sight and she could forget about having friends. They wouldn't understand our plan, her mother would say. Her only interaction was with her mother's Research Team as they studied and waited for Mothra's egg to hatch.

Sitting down at the dinner table, breakfast long forgotten now, Maddy never realized how sheltered she was thanks to her mother. She knew the effects of her brother's death was the reason, but she always thought it was her father that hit it hard. Drinking his sorrow away all night while cursing Godzilla for taking away Andrew while her mother locked herself in her lab and buried herself under work so she wouldn't have to deal with her drunken dad. She forgave Godzilla for Andrew's death a long time ago, there was no point blaming the massive Titan for what happened. How could he possibly see where he was stepping when there were two M.U. attacking him in different directions. Perhaps that was the reason she felt her bond with her dad drifting apart because unlike him, she still had faith in Godzilla just like her mom and Monarch did. Her mother on the other hand had a different way to grieve and it was to make sure to keep her last child safe. She was constantly by her mother's side no matter what when she was younger. Homeschool, no friends, no father, and teaching her (training her) to survive for what was about to come. "Saving the world" by giving it back to the Titans even if it means more than half of the human population was going to die.

Maddy shook her head and felt guilty for not missing her mother or the fact she couldn't give her a proper burial. A radiation blast from Godzilla most likely disintegrated her into ash and the twisted part of her was glad for it. At least now her mother can't make anymore mistakes.

Maddy covered her face with her hands and began to cry from those horrible thoughts.

What a mess….

Ten Days after Boston:

Maddy was worried after the events of Boston would throw her Dad back to drinking again, but instead he just spent most of his time outside to watch a wolf pack close by. After he woke up from his slumber, he pretty much kept things to himself. It was like he was feeling the same way she was, they forgot how to communicate with each other. After ten days, none of them wanted to talk about what happened at Boston or what went down when she was captured by Alan Jonah. In fact the only time her Dad would even speak to her was to check if she was hungry or finished with her homeschool work. He did tell her he wanted her to go back to public school, but wanted to wait till the whole Monster Zero thing died down.

She was lonely.

Sadly, she was used to it growing up, but it felt worse than before now. It felt like her father was giving her that resentment look just like before. Those times when she or her mother would defend the Titans and try to convince him they are good. That Godzilla was good even though he was responsible for so many lives lost. Her Father was stubborn, he would rant and point fingers at her mother and sometimes her about how stupid they were for having faith in Godzilla. A mindless, overgrown monster who should be dead instead of swimming around in the world's oceans. If they want to study him so badly, study his dead, rotting corpse. She lost count how many times her father didn't want to speak to her when it came to the topic of Godzilla till finally, her mother had enough and walked out of his life.

With her Dad gone doing outdoor things, she was left in the cabin with nothing, but her phone, the t.v. and her laptop. There wasn't much for her to do, but check out news articles about Godzilla and the other titans as the story broke out that there were more Titans out there beside Godzilla and the one on Skull Island named Kong. That was the only thing going on on the internet and social media. The fatalities from all the places the other Titans woke up from were rising everyday. Washington D.C. was pretty much gone thanks to the floods created by Monster Zero and Rodan. Boston didn't suffer that many kills due to Monarch evacuating the city before Godzilla and Monster Zero showed up. Still thousands were left homeless and with many more missing and from the looks of it Boston was deemed uninhabitable due to the high levels of radiation. Any form of social media was filled with people posting their videos of them running for dear life or trying to get as close as possible to the Titans during their invasion.

One particular User decided to do a live stream of himself getting close to the latest M.U.T.O, telling Viewers there was no way she would spot a tiny human like himself only to have his phone look up to see the Titan staring at him before swooping down with her mouth wide open. The User screamed as everything went dark before the video ended. Even though the User was most likely dead, he was still getting Likes and Comments on the video till this very day.

There were videos of people voicing their opinions about the Titans and posing death threats to anyone who was working with Monarch since they'd failed to warn the public about the other Titans. As far as they were concerned, there was only one and that was Godzilla since he killed the M.U.T.O and Prime. There were many protesting for answers and who should be held responsible for all the secrecy.

Fiji's tourist visitation nearly tripled when Titanus Rodan made his home on one of their islands. In fact he was one of the few Titans that didn't go back to sleep after Monster Zero. The big ones like Methuselah, Behemoth and Scylla went back to sleep after settling down in new locations. Maddy knew there were others, her mother made sure she knew all the information about them in case they ever cross one of them, but they went back to sleep as well or live too deep in the ocean to be known by the world. The M.U.T.O was getting a lot of hype in the news and not in a good way. Everyone was keeping an eye on her since she has yet to settle down like the rest of the Titans. Those who found the M.U.T.O fascinating were offering money for close-up pictures of her or a piece of her armor shell to have as a trophy. Some even lost their lives trying to get that cash reward, learning the hard way The M.U.T.O was a very aggressive and hungry creature.

Sadly, due to pressure from the public and to avoid getting shut down completely, Monarch released all files of their organization and the Titans for the world to see.

As for Godzilla? Not much news on him. The only article about his whereabouts was a plane spotting him on a small island, sleeping and recovering from his fight.

Twenty Days after Boston::

She looked out the window to see her dad standing in the open field while waiting for a small helicopter to land nearby. Maddy smiled when she saw Dr. Chen coming out, following Mr. Coleman. Her Father didn't look pleased to see them, he never hid the fact he wanted nothing to do with Monarch or his ex-wife's staff, but he was polite no less. After shaking their hands, he escorted them inside the cabin where Maddy ran up to Dr. Chen to give her a hug.

"Maddy." Dr. Chen said, hugging her back. "I hope you're doing well?"

Maddy nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Everyone's fine. Just fine." She said only to realize she said that rather quickly and fast for her liking.

Dr. Chen giggled nervously and stared at her father as if looking for answers for her behavior.

Maddy cleared her throat. "So would you or Mr. Coleman like some tea or kool-aid or whatever we have in the fridge?"

"It was a long flight, I could use some tea." Mr. Coleman said, feeling a bit awkward.

As the adults sat down at the table, Maddy quickly grabbed a few glasses and the pitcher of tea from the fridge and placed them down on the table.

After some awkward silence, her dad finally spoke. "So what brings you two here? Is there another problem at Monarch I need to fix?"

Maddy flinched from her dad's harsh words and so did the other two, but they all bit their tongues and let it go. "Actually we wanted to see how you were doing. You weren't returning our phone calls and we thought-"

"What? You need to do some sort of welfare check on me? Perhaps ignoring you was my way to tell you guys we wanted to be left alone."

Maddy's eyes narrowed when her Dad used the word "We" since she would kill for some company after being in isolation for nearly a month.

"You don't have to be harsh about it, Mark. We care about Emma and with her gone, we just want to make sure you and Maddy are Ok. Especially with word going out that Emma was partially responsible for Ghidorah's awakening. There's been threats to have the rest of her family or anyone connected to her killed for basically changing the world." Dr. Chen said, quietly.

"Which is why we are living here for the time being. I'm trying to keep us safe and you guys aren't helping by showing up in a helicopter with a giant Monarch symbol on the side." Mark said, aggressively.

Mr. Coleman sighed and turned to Dr. Chen. "I told you this was a bad idea." He said before taking a sip of his tea.

"We're sorry for disturbing you, but I thought Maddy would love to hear some good news from us personally." Dr. Chen said, with a soft smile.

"What is it?" Maddy asked, sitting down next to her Dad. Ready to nudge him if he talks rudely to them again. He may not be friends with them, but she was. She spent nearly five years around them since they were part of her Mother's team.

Dr. Chen smiled, "I'm happy to say we found an egg-"

"Well, a couple of Hikers did, they were hiking and came across the egg-" Mr. Coleman corrected.

"-and after retrieving it before anyone could harm it, we came to the conclusion it was left behind by Mothra."

Maddy nearly spit out her tea, while her Dad dropped his glass on the table, spilling it. "Mothra left an egg? Are you sure it's one of hers?"

Dr. Chen nodded. "It's the same exact shape and texture as the one she came out of. My feeling is that she knew she wasn't going to make it out alive during her fight with Ghidorah and wanted to make sure a part of her was left behind."

Her Dad looked stunned, "Are you saying there's a male one out there as well? I thought there were only seventeen of them and I didn't see one that was a male moth."

Dr. Chen waved her hands. "No, no, from all the research I did, there's only been one Mothra and she has the ability to come back to life as long as there's an egg. Whether it's her or her daughter, they say she always comes back."

"We thought the same thing at first that it was just a new egg, but then the day after we moved the egg to a safer place we got a very unusual visit." Mr. Coleman said, entwining his fingers together.

"Visit?" Her dad asked.

"Yes, I was there when it happened. Early in the morning to be exact. Everyone woke up to the ground shaking, believing it was an earthquake only for us to leave our tents to see Godzilla there and from what I saw, it looked like he was examining the egg for a moment before taking off. It was like he was making sure the egg was safe and out of harm's way."

Maddy couldn't stop smiling. "This is amazing. I thought she was gone for good, but now there's a chance she could come back?"

"It's just a theory. There's no such thing as people or animals or Titans coming back from the dead. If there's no male moth, she probably reproduced the egg on her own." Her Dad said, looking at it more realistic unlike Dr. Chen.

Although the visit was short, Maddy was thrilled knowing Mothra could come back to this world.

Four Months after Boston:

Every week, Dr. Chen would come and visit Maddy just to check up on her and to give her any news about the Titans. Once in a while she would show up with her twin sister, or Mr. Coleman and there were a few times Dr. Stanton came with her because he was bored. Apparently, things at Monarch were getting back to normal since there hasn't been much Titan activities lately. Godzilla did his best avoiding humans as much as possible by spending most of his time either sleeping or swimming. Mothra's egg was still being watched and the other Titans beside Rodan and M.U.T.O. were napping. At first her Dad didn't like the visits, something was telling her he didn't want her to get involved with anything when it comes to Godzilla or the Titans, but after talking to him about needing company, he begrudgingly backed down and would just leave during Dr. Chen's visit.

"How is he doing, Maddy?" Dr. Chen asked, while taking a sip from her water bottle.

"Dad is doing fine. He's putting all his time and energy in his own research and work." She said grimly. Four months and there was still no difference between them since day one. It was a bittersweet feeling, at least he was doing work and getting fresh air instead of hitting the bottle again. She made sure there was no alcohol in the cabin, she even threw away their mouth wash just to be on the safe side.

"I see." Dr. Chen nodded. "Has he talked to you about joining Monarch again?"

Her eyes bulged, "No, I didn't even know you guys wanted him back."

"Well, with Dr. Graham and Dr. Serizawa gone, I could use the help running Monarch especially now with the world knowing there are other Titans out there besides Godzilla. I brought it up to him the last time I was here, but again, he's not returning my phone calls."

Maddy frowned. It would do him some good to get out of here and return back to society, but her dad was stubborn. "If you want I can try to talk to him about it." Maddy said.

Dr. Chen smiled. "No pressure, I know he needs time."

"Is there any other news going on?"

"Why yes, Mothra's egg hatched and just like before, she cocooned very quickly. Part of me was a little concerned about how fast she went on to her second stage since the last time she did that, Ghidorah was awakened."

Maddy looked away in shame. Still feeling guilty for what her mother did, but quickly gained her composer. "Maybe she is just eager to come back since she's been asleep for thousands of years."

"Perhaps as the Queen, she needs to return to her King." Dr. Chen said playfully.

Which made them both laugh like giddy girls. Part of her wanted to tear up, these types of moments were supposed to be shared between her and her mother…

Six Months after Boston:

(Outpost 54 Castle Bravo)

Madison didn't think she would see this place again, but Dr. Chen needed help concerning Godzilla's behavior and after some convincing, a lot of convincing, her Dad finally agreed to come down and see what the problem was. After all, that was his specialist, figuring out animal behavior. When they reach the main headquarters, where they had a giant view of the underwater ocean to study Godzilla, her nose cringes from a weird burning smell. When she looked at the main computers and the ones that would study Godzilla's heart, brainwaves and bioacoustics she noticed how badly damaged they were. The screens were cracked and had burn marks all over the place. The computers were literally fried from the inside out.

What's worse as Dr. Chen puts it: Godzilla was gone and they had no way to track him.

"Gone?" Mark asked, looking at the last scan reports of Godzilla's heart and brain waves. The lines on the papers started off like normal beats only to grow sharper and quicker to the point it nearly covered the whole entire paper. "What do you mean he's gone? Is he dead?"

Dr. Stanton shook his head. "No, from the looks of it, the guy just snapped and took off. The last two months we've been noticing spikes of distress coming from him. It was actually affecting his mind. The latest picture of him from our spy cam shows he's in bad shape as well."

Maddy walked down to the giant glass window and stared out at the dark water. Hoping to see glowing plates.

Her Dad shook his head. "Where was his last seen"

"Around Fiji. Mothra was around him and out of the blue, he attacked her before disappearing, and hasn't been seen since." Dr. Stanton said, crossing his arms. "This may be weird to say, but he looked rather spooked."

Her Dad continued to look at the scans. "Something's going on with him and if you don't find him soon, his heart might stop from this amount of stress."

Maddy felt someone standing next to her only to look to see Dr. Chen looking just as concerned as she did. "Do you think he's alright?"

"I'm not sure. The last spike he had actually fried our computers. I've never seen such power like that. I have a feeling it's bothering Mothra as well. She looked like she's at a loss as well."

Maddy nodded before looking at nothing in particular….

Eight Months after Boston: :

Could Titans really show human emotions? Madison truly believes so, especially after witnessing all the strange behavior between Godzilla, Mothra and Rodan.

The last few months were weird. It took a while to get the new computers set up and running again, but they were no good since they couldn't track Godzilla anymore. The little devices they somehow implanted in him decades ago were either fried or taken off, so they had to find him the old fashion way. Scanning the entire oceans all over the world.

During the two months of Godzilla's disappearance, while Monarch spent night and day trying to find him, something weird was going on with Mothra which had Dr. Chen worried and all the guys around her laughing hysterically. Either way, it was a great way to study how Titans interact with each other since back then it was only Godzilla roaming around and the other ones he would come across with were killed. This one threw her off completely. With Godzilla gone, Mothra didn't just fly away, she stayed on that small little island where Godzilla attacked her. Dr. Chen and the others studying her wouldn't sleep a wink because Mothra was around Rodan's turf and they didn't know how Rodan would react seeing the Moth around him again. Most of them fear Rodan might try to kill her just like the last time now that Godzilla was gone at the moment.

For days, Mothra would wait and during the nights when she would sleep, Rodan would fly by like some curious little cat before flying away again. No doubt a bit annoyed he was basically "kicked out" of his own home. Then one day while she was doing her homework on the floor next to the giant glass window, (Castle Bravo becoming her and her Dad's temporary home) Dr. Chen raced over to sit down next to her with her Tablet.

"Look, they're finally interacting with each other," She said.

Maddy dropped her pencil and grabbed the left side of the tablet to get a better look. The web cam's view was on full screen showing Rodan slowly approaching Mothra before sitting down right next to her. Despite it being night, the light from the volcano and the two Titans' wings were enough to give them a picture of what's going on.

"This is truly amazing, most of the time when Titans come across each other, it's usually met with violence or death, but to see them approaching each other peacefully, it's such a sight to see." Dr. Chen said.

Maddy took a closer look and could see their mouths moving as if they were talking to one another. "It looks like they're talking. I can only imagine what they are saying to each other."

Dr. Chen smiled, "Probably making a truce after what happened in Boston. Like the other Titans, Rodan was only following orders from Ghidorah."

Maddy shrugged, "Maybe." She whispered. If she didn't know better she was sure Rodan was actually smiling?

As the weeks went on, it seemed like Rodan and Mothra were getting closer by the day. Showing off one of the basic human needs everyone lives for: Companionship.

And it showed, everywhere Mothra went, Rodan was right there following her. Almost like acting like her personal bodyguard and from the looks of it, it was helping them both. The latest pictures of Mothra showed her with more color, radiance and grace and it seems like her present was keeping Rodan tamed. He wasn't as hostile as he was when he first woken up. There was a little mishap near a beach around San Diego, California a month back where they both crashed landed on the beach after a brawl and was a bit shocked Rodan didn't act aggressively towards the population even with the Armed Force pointing guns at him. Not that it would actually hurt him, but if Rodan was anything like Godzilla seeing guns could provoke him. It almost did till he realized Mothra was hurt.

"I think he likes her." Dr. Stanton said as a joke while he, Dr. Chen and Maddy watched the video clips coming in of the two. They made headlines since it was the first Titan activity after the fight in Boston.

"Don't be silly, they were just fighting not too long ago." Maddy said, before clicking on another video where it showed a teenager at the beach recording herself running while looking back to see Rodan and Mothra falling out of the sky and right towards her and other pedestrians.

Dr. Stanton pauses the video. "Look how they are falling. He grabbed her and twisted around so he could take the hard landing." He said, before switching back to another video, "And look at this one, instead of leaving to save his ass, he took Mothra with him, again protecting her."

"They are acting like Companions, perhaps they're just looking out for one another." Dr. Chen said. "I'll send them to my sister and see what she thinks."

Dr. Stanton chuckled before taking a sip of his spiked coffee. "The Big Guy is not going to like this." He said, heading back to his desk.

Maddy shook her head and looked at Dr. Chen. "Do you think Titans could feel that type of emotion, Dr. Chen?"

"Please Maddy, you can call me Ilene if you like." She said, nicely.

Maddy looked down at her feet. "Sorry, I figure it's the proper thing to do, I don't want to be rude."

Dr. Chen giggled. "Maddy, I watched you grow up for nearly six years, I consider you family. In fact when you were younger, you used to call me Auntie. Your mother and I had a good laugh about it."

Maddy smiled and looked around headquarters, "By the way, where's my dad? I haven't seen him since yesterday."

"Oh, he left with some of our group to check on Titanus Behemoth, apparently he woke up again not too long ago and traveled his way over to the Amazon Forest. At first they thought he was being hostile because he was chasing out any humans that were there, but afterward he calmed himself down and pretty much made the Amazon Forest his home."

"Why didn't you go with him?" Maddy asked

"I wanted to, but I would rather stay here and look after you." Dr. Chen said, with a soft smile.

Offended, Maddy grumbled. "You mean babysit me? Making sure I don't run off like before." She said, walking away from Dr. Chen.

"Maddy, don't twist my words like that. You know your Father, he just wants you to be safe." Dr. Chen said, following her.

Maddy ran down to the giant glass window and pressed her forehead on it. It was great to see her Dad coming out of his shell and going back to the person he was before Andrew's death, but why does he still have to shelter her. Just like her mother. At first her Dad could care less if Godzilla was gone, but after realizing without an Alpha, the other Titans might catch wind of it and could go back to their destructive ways, so just like before he buried himself in his work, completely ignoring her and tossing her to Ilene to deal with. She knew the stuff and Godzilla, she could help just as well.

"I'm not a little kid anymore." She said, grimly. She was thirteen for fuck sake. She was there with her parents when they helped Godzilla take down Ghidorah. "I would love to go and see the other Titans. I want to help track down Godzilla. He still thinks I'm this weak little thing and thinks keeping me in a box will make me happy and safe. I'm so sick of it."

Ilene stood next to her and placed her hand on Maddy's back. "Give him time, he'll come around. It hasn't been easy with everyone after what happened in Boston. I know your Father took it very hard, but what about you, Maddy?"

Maddy's lips tighten. "I made peace with it a long time ago."

The weeks dragged on and still no sign of Godzilla. They checked all of his territory routes he would swim, his old home and even the other Titans' location and came up with nothing. The theory now is that he is truly dead or perhaps found his way down to the Hollow Earth. A place they've been trying to find since day one of Monarch with no luck. They know there is one location to Hollow Earth on Skull Island, but it was too dangerous to send a team because the tunnel was packed with Skullcrawlers. The other entrance was somewhere in Antarctica, but that Outpost was quickly abandoned after a Team of Explorers went in there and never came back. During the time, Maddy would spend her days on school work or helping Ilene out with whatever she needed while mingling with her late-mother's long-time friends. Once in a while, new videos from their spy cams would pick up something rather interesting for them to discuss.

"It's a Courtship." Dr. Stanton said, plainly while pointing at the screen on the tablet.

Crowding around the tablet once again, Ilene, Maddy and Dr. Stanton watched with wide eyes as Rodan slowly approached Mothra with a tree in his beak. "Between two different species?" Maddy asked.

"I don't think that matters to them. Take around their looks and you are left with just one male and one female. It's just animal instincts, now the question is will she accept it."

Mr. Coleman happened to walk by the group and noticed what they were watching. "Do you guys have other things to do besides watch videos?"

"We're studying Titan Interactions, it's research" Ilene said while giving Maddy a playful wink.

Maddy smiled and nodded at Mr. Coleman in agreement. Feeling a sense of warmth she hasn't felt in so long. Just like old times when she was younger: Being part of Monarch again, learning new things about the Titans and most importantly, she didn't feel so lonely anymore.

"Yeah, besides, would you rather watch a potential sexual courtship go down or an overly large Sloth making the grass grow?" Dr. Stanton said, sarcastically.

Ilene hit him in the shoulder. "Rick, keep it censor" She whispered cueing Maddy to roll her eyes.

"What, I'm just saying what's clearly on everyone's mind. With Godzilla gone, I guess Rodan thinks Mothra is up for grabs." Dr. Stanton said.

"With Godzilla gone, Rick? Godzilla and Mothra are not together that way. Symbiotic Relationships are completely different from a relationship between two individuals." Mr. Coleman said.

"He has never shown any interest in Mothra till Godzilla was out of the picture. Whatever relationship Godzilla had with Mothra, Rodan wants it for himself now." Dr. Stanton argued.

While the adults were debating over Rodan's little courtship, Maddy's eyes were glued to the screen. Mothra did accept the tree as a gift and after some "flirting" by Rodan, the Fire Demon grabbed hold of Mothra and took her up into the sky. It was the first time Maddy witnessed two Titans "Playing" and "Dancing."

Bets were made over the silly courtship among the team and anyone else who thought they could win some easy money. In the end, Dr. Stanton ended up winning the jackpot because after two months, Godzilla finally returned and he didn't like Rodan trying to take his place with Mothra.

Not. One. Bit.

Even if the relationship between Godzilla and Mothra was strictly Symbiotic, they were a pair and Godzilla made it clear Rodan was not welcome.

She didn't know what happened since the days leading up to Godzilla returning were blank due to a bad storm passing through Rodan's home. When it finally subsided and were able to get the Spy Cams back on, they noticed Mothra was gone and Rodan was left devastated. Then one dark, raining night, Godzilla confronted Rodan on his volcano island and Maddy nearly choked on her spit from the awful sight of the King of the Monster. With cuts and bites all over his upper body and this insane look in his eyes, Godzilla was breathing heavily and twitching all over the place. Even Rodan looked terrified from the mere sight of the massive Titan. Maddy watched in horror as the two began to attack each other, destroying everything on the island and drawing blood. The Spy Cams were trying their hardest to keep a close watch on them while trying to avoid getting hit, but alas, when Godzilla threw Rodan against the volcano, it took out three of the Spy Cams at the same time. The last one was knocked down by the mere force of Godzilla's tail whip and had to take an hour or so to reboot itself.

When the Spy Cam turned back on again, everyone in the Command Center watched in total silence as Godzilla and Mothra stared at each other in a Stand-offish pose. Rodan was badly beaten on the ground with Mothra standing above him as if protecting him from Godzilla's wrath.

It was times like these that made Maddy and Ilene wish they could understand what the Titans were saying to one another because by the way Godzilla was roaring and Mothra screeching back at him, they were arguing. The shouting was tense, Godzilla's plates were glowing so bright it was actually hurting Maddy's eyes. Godzilla took another step forward, trying to get Mothra to move away from the weak Rodan.

Maddy could hear Dr. Stanton in the background ordering Barnes and Foster to get a team ready for a Titan Clean-Up as he puts it. The same team used to pick up the bodies of the two M.U.T.O.s Godzilla killed five years ago. After all they can't leave a giant 150 foot dead Titan to rot in the sun. Can you imagine the stretch and decay and large infestation of bugs? Damn, nobody had any support for the Fire Demon bird, Maddy thought.

Finally after so much bickering and nail-biting anticipation from her and the Monarch Staff, Godzilla retreated, giving Rodan one last deadly glare before returning to the ocean. Everyone thought he was going to disappear again, which sent her Dad and the others into a panic because they have yet to plant another tracking device on him, but instead he stood there in the water and waited. The Spy Cam trailed over to Rodan and Mothra with Mothra giving Rodan a soft nuzzle before flying off to join Godzilla in the water. At first, Godzilla pushed her away aggressively again.

"Why would he push her away?" Dr. Chen asked.

"She fought against his wishes, no doubt his pride was hurt among other things." Dr. Stanton said, shrugging.

After a few minutes of hesitation, Godzilla allowed Mothra to settle on his head before descending himself in the water. They took off, leaving the beat-up, no doubt broken-pride Rodan to tend to his wounds. Maddy frowned from the sight on the screen. She actually felt sorry for the Titan knowing this was just another defeat on his long list of failures since his awakening.

"What's going to happen to Rodan?" Maddy asked.

Dr. Chen looked at her. "What do you mean?"

"Well, you said it yourself his whole entire personality changed when he was around Mothra. You don't think he might retaliate?" She asked. After all she's seen it first hand, what a Loss can do to people and if Rodan felt "Love" towards Mothra, no doubt he will feel the "Heartbreak" as well.

Dr. Chen softly smiled, "We'll keep an eye on him, but I'm sure he'll pick himself back up again just like before."

The next day, after a long night of following Godzilla and Mothra around, the two settled on a small island that was actually close to Castle Bravo. While the two slept, Monarch was able to plant a new tracking device on Godzilla. It was still unknown what caused his sudden disappearance or bizarre behavior, but from the looks of it, he was back to normal now. The only thing they can say from this event, it was no sickness or injury that caused this, there was something going on in that Titan's damaged mind only Godzilla would know.

Though Maddy couldn't ponder on that right now, because she was in the middle of an argument with her Dad and it was getting bitter and petty in her opinion. As soon as Monarch got Godzilla back on track and everything was all fine and dandy, her Dad was ready to go.

"Go….and go where?" Maddy asked, while being pushed into the helicopter nearly dropping her bag of clothes and things. She quickly sat down and glared at her Father who was climbing in with his own suitcase and personal laptop. "I thought we were staying longer. Shoot, you didn't even give me a chance to say goodbye and at least finish my damn lunch!"

Her Father sat down and ran his finger through his long hair. Working non-stop to find Godzilla didn't give him time for a haircut or shave. He looked tired and pale due to the lack of sun. "Where do you think, Maddy? Home." He said, like she was the stupidest person on the planet.

"Home! You mean back at that isolated cabin where you can keep me locked in my room!" She shouted, getting the pilot's attention.

Her Dad nervously chuckled and waved at the pilot. "She's joking." He said, before turning back to her. "Seriously, why would you say a thing like that!?"

She huffed, "Well, it might as well be true. I'm stuck in the cabin all by myself while you go off and study that stupid Wolf Pack all day long. You pay more attention to those flea-bags than your own fucking daughter!"

"Hey, watch your language!" He snapped at her. "I am your father and you will not speak to me like that!"

"Oh, now you want to play the "Father" card? After countless nights of watching you and mom fight, watching you drink your pain away because you refuse to talk about it and stop coming around after mom took me away! You thought I would be happy being with mom? She did the same thing you're doing right now, sheltering me while burying herself in work and figuring out how to control everything including my life. And look what happened?!"

"Exactly Maddy, you almost died because of her nonsense. She and I had studied Godzilla, Kong and the M.U.T.O.s , way before you were even born and for her to go behind my back and brainwash you to think we can control them? For the longest time, I thought there were only three Titans to look out for only to find out later your mother knew there were more. Now there are more than seventeen of those things because of her. The world is now being overrun by them because of her. I almost lost my last child because of her! And now you want us to stay at a place where all our problems begin? If anything you're choosing them and Godzilla over your own family!"

She stared at him, remembering that time when she was nine and hearing her father say the same thing to her mother before her mother grabbed her by the hand and stormed out of the house. She remembered tripping over her own two feet and dropping her favorite toy to the ground because she couldn't keep up with her mother's pace. Her vision started to blur from tears.

Mark sighed and rubbed his forehead from stress. "Maddy, I'm sorry. The last thing I want is for you to think I blamed your mother for all of this or think you would love-"

She shook her head, wiping her tears away quickly before sitting down next to him. "No, I get it. The first couple of weeks, I blamed her too and there was no one I can talk to about it except you, but you were always gone. I thought about going to therapy, but what good would that do. It's not like she died from an accident or did drugs or anything like that. She released Monster Zero onto the World and caused the other Titans to awaken and commit mass destruction over the world. Can you imagine the prescriptions the Therapist would had prescribed me?" She asked, getting a light, bittersweet chuckle out of her Dad which made her laugh sadly as well.

The two stayed silent for a minute with Mark looking down at the floor and Maddy twiddling her fingers. Her fingers stopped moving when a fresh tear fell on her thumb.

Mark sighed, "Maddy…"

"I just wish...want... things to be normal again, Dad. You and I used to talk to each other about everything, but ever since Andrew...nothing was ever the same. Being here, talking among Mom's friends and staff and watching you work, I actually felt like my old life was back." She sniffled.

"You called that your old life?"

"Come on Dad, you said it yourself, you and mom were part of Monarch before me and Andrew were born. I think we spent more of our lives here than we did at school or at home. I always saw home as my second home most of the time. You were happy here. Mom was happy here. I remember you telling Andrew this was a great opportunity to understand ancient species and wondered if they acted just like us humans or the basic today's animals. Seeing you helping Monarch out again...well, part of me thought it would bring that spark back into you like before."

Mark looked at her like she was crazy. "Maddy, I only did this because you wouldn't stop bugging me about it and now Godzilla is back and they're keeping track of him, there's no reason to be here anymore. Just like before, the only reason I came back to Monarch was because you were kidnapped and your mother got herself involved with the wrong people. Why in the world would you want to go back to that type of life? Why can't you or your mother see it's because of Monarch and Godzilla, your brother-"

"Dad, you're smart enough to know it was just an accident. You would always sneer comments about Godzilla being this big, dumb thing, but somehow was smart on to find our home in all of San Francisco to kill Andrew-"

"Maddy!"

"It was an accident Dad! A lot of people died that day, but Godzilla didn't know. He was fighting against those M.U.T.O.s! I'm sorry, but at the time, that was his first priority. Just like with mom, did you honestly think he would've stopped that weird blast if he saw mom on the ground? NO, the only thing that mattered was killing Monster Zero. You can't keep blaming him for something that was out of his control." Maddy said, crying again. "If me and mom can forgive him for that, why can't you?"

Mark sighed and held Maddy close to him. "Maddy…."

"I'm sorry Dad, I don't want to go back to living all alone in the cabin. I like being around Dr. Chen and the rest of the team. I like being around Monarch and I know you lost it, but I still have faith in Godzilla and what he does. Please Dad, I can't live in hiding anymore."

Her Dad sighed and hugged her tighter, nearly rocking her like he did when she was a baby. When she finally stopped crying, he spoke. "I'll tell you what. Let's go home, recharge and work on our relationship before making rash decisions. Can you please give me that?"

Not really what Maddy wanted, but it was a step in the right direction. So she nodded. They were finally talking again and letting out all their feelings. It was like what Dr. Chen said, give him time.

Time heals all wounds…

~So take these words

And sing out loud

Cause everyone is forgiven now

Cause tonight's the night

The world begins again…~

One Year after Boston:

(Pensacola, Florida)

Maddy stood in the middle of the empty living room of her new home with an unsure look on her face. She grew up in San Francisco (which was now a nesting place for the M.U.T.O number three), lived in Boston for a while, then a cabin in Colorado for a year and now here in Florida?

"What do you think?" Mark asked, standing near the front door.

She took a quick spin, examining the living room which led to an open kitchen and dining room. The hallway had two doors, a closet one and a small bathroom before leading up to the front entrance of the house. There were stairs leading up to the second story where their bedrooms were. The backyard was huge and so was the front yard and from the looks of it, they live in a very quiet neighborhood. Much different than the small, narrow apartment complexes in the big cities she was used to.

"It's nice, I can work with it." She said, sarcastically.

Mark gave her a tired smile, "Good, because we'll be staying here for the time being."

"Really, this isn't some temporary home?"

"No, unless with our luck, Godzilla will use this town as his next battlefield." He said, slightly bitter.

She frowned a bit knowing this was tough for her dad, but it was part of their agreement. The last few months were hard and emotional. Her dad took his time away from his work and projects to reestablish a relationship with her. There was a lot of talking, some fighting and finally, them accepting the loss of half of their family and learning to forgive her mother for her deeds. Dr. Chen would still come by to check up on them and her Dad tried his best to be more polite with her mother's old friends. Begrudgingly, he accepted Dr. Chen offered to come back and work for Monarch again since they were in dire need for more people to watch and study the Titans since one by one they were waking up again. After all, with his skills and the fact he came face to face with Godzilla and lived to tell about it, he was no doubt the perfect person to lead the Titan Behavior Analogy Team among other things. Besides, Maddy was no fool, her dad was in a lot of debt thanks to his dark years with the bottle and needed the money. Maddy was excited at first because again it was a great way to get her father back to their sense of normalcy, but her dad had one condition. He wanted her to have a more traditional life. Do things regular teenagers need to do, like make friends, go to school and deal with silly teenage things all girls go through. That's what she needed to do, not wasting her time at the Monarch Outpost and watching over a giant lizard. She was reluctant at first, but nodded in agreement. She'll let her Dad win this round and besides, perhaps it was time to hang out with people her age. Not scientists, terrorists or an overly protected father.

"Seriously Dad, Godzilla has been staying away from the human population. What are the odds he would attack this place?" She said, trying to joke with him.

They heard footsteps and Mark took a step to the left to allow Dr. Chen to enter the house with Maddy's bag in her hand. "So what do you guys think?" She asked.

"I love it, it's real….homie" Maddy said, looking out at the backyard.

"Well, Monarch always make sure their employees are taken care of." Dr. Chen said, putting the bag down. "Plus consider it a thank you gift for coming back, Mark."

Her Dad laughed sarcastically before excusing himself to grab the rest of the stuff from their car. Maddy was told the moving van will be here first thing in the morning so it looks like she will be sleeping on the floor with her sleeping bag.

"Are you ok, Maddy?" Dr. Chen asked.

"Yeah, just realizing we'll be sleeping on the floor tonight since the Moving Van won't be here till tomorrow." Maddy said, looking through the glass door that led to the backyard.

"Oh, well, if you want, I can help put you and your Dad in a hotel for the night." Dr. Chen asked.

"That's not necessary," Maddy said, waving her arms. "It will be fun, almost like camping out in a way. Maybe if I'm lucky, I can convince my Dad to build a fireplace in the living room." She joked.

The two women laughed before hearing Mark return with a few boxes in his head. "A little help here, Maddy." He asked.

Maddy nodded before looking up at Dr. Chen. "We're going to order some pizza later. Would you like to stay for Dinner?" Maddy asked.

A pinkish hue formed across Dr. Chen's cheeks from the sudden invitation. No doubt she knew Maddy didn't discuss it with her father to see if it was alright or not before asking. "Um, if your father doesn't mind, I don't see why not."

Maddy looked behind Dr. Chen to stare at her father with big, pleading eyes. "Please Dad, there's a lot we need to catch up on and you know, "Girl Talk." Maddy begged while jumping up and down.

The mention of "Girl Talk" was enough to make her father agree to anything. Sure enough, Mark, clearly unsure, nodded. "That's fine, but I'm sure Dr. Chen has more important things to do."

Dr. Chen shook her head. "No, not really, unless you count going home to eat leftovers and look over some paperwork sometime better to do." She giggled.

Mark just stared at her, his arms shaking from the two heavy boxes he was holding and let out an awkward chuckle. "Ok, well, let me put these upstairs and I'll order the pizza." He said, walking upstairs.

Dr. Chen waited till they were alone to speak. "So, what "Girl Talk" do you want to discuss about, Maddy?"

"Oh, I just say that to embarrass my Dad." Maddy said, smiling before getting a little serious. "I'm actually curious on how Godzilla is doing? I mean, he's still around right?" She hasn't spoken to Dr. Chen in a month and part of rebuilding her relationship with her father was to keep the topic of Godzilla to a minimum so she was dying to know how the King of the Monster was doing.

Dr. Chen smiled, "He's fine. Sleeping most of the time. We don't bother him too much since the other Titans are more active than he is. My guess is he's resting off whatever caused that strange behavior back then. Though I have to say Mothra hasn't left his side unless to eat or fly. Here is something interesting though. A few days ago, we spotted Mothra flying around with Rodan again, only this time Godzilla was swimming behind them. Rick made a joke by saying Mothra and Rodan are having supervised visits by the "Big Guy." She joked.

"Wow." She thought strangely. After Godzilla and Rodan last encounter, she didn't think they would go near each other ever again. Mothra might have had something to do with it, she was told from an early age the beautiful Titan was sort of the "Peacemaker" between Titans and humans. No doubt told Godzilla and Rodan to play nice while she's around. The thought of that made her slightly chuckled in amusement. Mothra sure had a way to bring peace around anybody "Any other news?"

Dr. Chen placed her finger on her chin, "Let's see, give me a minute because there's a lot that has been going on." She said, "Well, the Titanus Methuselah woke up not too long ago. It's been a joy studying him, he's not a very aggressive Titan like the others, in fact, he even allowed some of the Team explore his mountain environment on his back while he lounged around. We actually saw plants and trees grow completely in a matter of hours that would normally take months or years. We manage to abstract some DNA samples from him to see if there's a way we can use that to fight World Hunger. We're seeing the same results with Titanus Behemoth, his presence in the Amazon Forest is making the trees grow back at a phenomenal rate."

Maddy listened with such fascination because it felt like she was talking to her mother when she was younger, when everything was wholesome for her family of four and everyone was happy. She would talk on and on about when she did at Monarch and the latest updates on Godzilla. She slightly frowned when Dr. Chen picked up.

"Is everything alright?"

She quickly nodded, "Yeah, it's just that, hearing you talk about the Titans….my mom was the same way. I can still remember her taking me places where Godzilla was to study him up close. I think the last time she took me was when he was taking down the one called "M.U.T.O Prime." And now, Dad is making sure he keeps his work away from home. Trying his hardest not to give me ideas."

"Like what?"

She shrugs happily. "Oh you know, like running away and getting in the middle of the fight between Godzilla and Monster Zero kind of ideas."

"I see, well, it is your Father's wishes and we need to respect that. Perhaps later on when you're older you can come along on some of our trips to see the Titans."

"Really? How about we ask him now and I can go on to the next one with you?"

Dr. Chen bit her lip on that one. "Maybe not the next one. We've been keeping watch on the third M.U.T.O and she's a difficult one I have to say."

"Doesn't surprise me, look at her other counterparts."

"Indeed, she has already destroyed nearly a dozen Spy Cams and despite our warning, we have people going over there for pictures only to provoke her from her nesting. Thank Goodness, we have yet to see another male, the last thing we want is another San Francisco or Boston." She said, eerily.

It looked like Dr. Chen had more to say, but quickly shut her mouth when Mark came downstairs with his phone in his hands. The pizza was ordered and will be here soon. Maddy nodded before following her dad to the car to grab the rest of their stuff. The evening came swiftly as well as the pizza and all three of them sat on the dining room's floor in a circle for dinner. Maddy couldn't help, but chuckle at the situation. They didn't have plates, glass cups or even silverware, just a few cheap napkins that came with their food and a couple of warm soda cans they had leftover from their move, but to her it was all perfect. Her father was actually talking and she means really, really talking. No one-word sentences or smartass remarks, he was actually putting in his two-cents on whatever topic her and Dr. Chen were discussing about unless it was Titan-related than he would just listen. Listen and not be so rude about it which was a huge step in the right direction. Maddy figured since her father was going to work with Dr. Chen and the others again, he needed to be mature about it. After all, how can he teach her a valuable lesson about communication and being the bigger person if he doesn't follow it?

~I wish everyone was loved tonight

And somehow stop this endless fight

Just a chance that maybe we'll find

Better days…"

Two Years after Boston:

"Your father is going to kill me if he finds out you are here with us." Dr. Chen said, in a stressful voice.

Maddy huffed as she, and Dr. Stanton hurried their way over to Mothra's egg location. Every ten minutes Dr. Stanton would tell the Pilot to fly faster. Maddy looked out the window for a moment and saw a very familiar site. It was truly strange to see one of her old homes and Mothra's old temple again after two years from the view of the helicopter. Though sadden to see the temple in ruins thanks to Jonah invading the place.

The morning started normal enough in her eyes. She was getting ready for school, public school, to be exact, only to have her father telling her to pack up a bag. Apparently, they had to go back to Castle Bravo again and from the looks of it, they might be there for a while due to something happening to Godzilla again. Her father didn't have time to tell her the details since he was in the middle of contacting her school and getting things ready before their departure. When they landed on Castle Bravo, Dr. Chen was already there with dry, red eyes. Before she could say anything, Dr. Chen shook her head before looking at the ground.

"She's dead…." She said, trying to wipe away a tear.

"Dead...who's dead?" Maddy asked only to be ignored.

"Wait, what are you talking about? You told me on the phone it was Godzilla that was about to die."

Maddy's eyes widened from her Dad's statement.

"We thought he would, he lost a lot of blood, but before Rodan could make the final cut, Mothra used her body to shield Godzilla and took the hit. It was too much for her so she ended up dying, disappearing in thin air sort of speak."

"And Godzilla?" Mark asked.

"I don't know how to explain it. Our readings told us, he was dead due to blood loss, but after Mothra disappeared, a bright light flew over to him, just like before back in Boston and he actually woke up and stood on his own feet. He's breathing, but his neck is badly damaged."

"Dad, what's going on?" Maddy asked. It was hard to believe what she was hearing. Godzilla nearly died and Mothra was gone once again. What in the world?

"Maddy, grab your bag and take it to one of the guest rooms. This doesn't concern you." Mark said.

"What do you mean, this doesn't concern me? What happened to Godzill-"

"We need to hurry. I have a feeling he's going after her egg." Dr. Chen stated, trying to stay calm.

Mark looked at her stunned. "Why would he go after the egg?"

"The egg is sending out a lot of distress signals from what I saw on the computer. Godzilla is showing a lot of distress signals as well. I have a feeling he's going to harm the egg. We need to go to the egg location and take it somewhere for safety, just long enough for him to calm down." Dr. Chen said, while rubbing her shoulder from the stress.

Mark huffed only to nod. "Alright, We'll send a team out there to grab the egg. In the meantime, we'll continue to track Godzilla and make sure he doesn't go towards populated cities."

"Dad, what about me?" Maddy asked.

Her dad looked at her. "I told you, you need to settle in one of the guest rooms. I'm sure you have school work to finish."

Now she was mad, "Godzilla is acting up and you want me to think about school work?! And what about Mothra?"

Before they could argue, Dr. Stanton ran up to them. "I hate to interrupt this father/daughter moment, but I have some bad news?" He said, grimly.

"What is it now, Rick?" Dr. Chen asked.

"Well, not only is Godzilla heading towards Mothra's egg, but we just picked up some moving activities from Titanus Scylla. From the looks of it, she's heading over to the egg as well."

"What?" Mark said with a cringe face. "Why would he be moving towards the egg?"

"Not sure, perhaps SHE wanted scrambled eggs for breakfast, either way, they are both heading over there and fast." Dr. Stanton said, trying to joke a bit, but no one was laughing.

After all the arrangement and talking were done and her Dad was distracted enough for her to sneak past him. Maddy hurried her way over to the helicopter where Dr. Chen and Dr. Stanton was at, getting ready to take off. She was glad Dr. Chen was a little more understandable than her Father because it didn't take her long to convince her to tag along. Part of it was because Dr. Chen needed to get to the egg fast and didn't want to argue with Maddy just as long as Maddy stayed by her side and listened to her if things got rough. During the trip, Dr. Chen filled her in on the events that folded this morning. Godzilla's readings were off the charts again. They haven't seen anything this strong or bad since Monster Zero was around. The stress and anger in his roars was loud enough to be heard for miles and they were all pointed at Mothra and Rodan. Dr. Chen was nice enough to show Maddy some footage of Godzilla and Rodan fighting near an uncharted island with Mothra trying her hardest to break them up.

"They were fighting again?" Maddy asked, looking at the footage only to jerk back a bit when she saw Rodan jumping up and impaling Godzilla's gills with his sharp claws. "I know you told me a while back that Mothra was spending a lot of time around Rodan, but you don't think-"

It wasn't exactly hidden knowledge either. While most of the Titans stayed away from populated areas, it was easy for Mothra and Rodan to travel around the world since they could fly. Throughout the year, there have been many sightings of the two. Mostly pictures of them flying by major cities or caught in large open fields. Just like before Rodan was acting like Mothra's personal bodyguard with Mothra enjoying her time in different flower fields with Rodan keeping watch from the distance. There was a family that lived in Texas that made headline news during the 4th of July when their outdoor party was interrupted by Mothra. Not that she did any harm, but was calm enough to let the children at the Family Gathering come up and pet her. Witnesses even stated that Rodan was close by as well, but didn't approach them like Mothra did. Even the kids had something interesting to say also. Stating that they heard Mothra talking to them in their heads. Now they made live in a world full of Titans, but even that sounded ridiculous to Maddy. Another odd thing she heard is that Farmers were losing their crops due to Rodan flying down and digging them up for some reason. Monarch didn't know what to think of it since this was the first time they've seen Titan Behavior among different species.

"Oh, I have a hunch why they were trying to kill each other if you want to see it." Dr. Stanton asked, with a sly grin while crossing his arms.

"Rick…" Dr. Chen said as a warning.

"What? It's actually very interesting. Sam got a good kick out of it and it's a lot better footage of Titan Reproduction than he got on the M.U.T.O.s "

"RICK! Enough, Maddy is too young to see that and I can't believe you kept that file."

"I'm just saying, isn't it odd that Godzilla would act out like that after what happened between Mothra and Rodan. Symbiotic Relationship or not, Godzilla made it clear he does not share Mothra with anyone."

Maddy looked over at Dr. Chen who sighed in frustration. She clicked her tongue, "So, I take it, Rodan was trying to...um...court...Mothra again and Godzilla wasn't happy?" She asked, trying to make it as PG as possible. She was no fool. She was fifteen afterall and the main topic she would hear at school from her other peers involved relationships and sex and the Titans were animals when you narrow it down to the simplest terms. Nothing shocking, it wouldn't be the first time two men or males would fight over the same female.

Dr. Chen nodded, "Sometimes we keep forgetting although these are are massive ancient Beings, they are still animals. It's not uncommon for two males to fight over the same female, I just never thought I would see Mothra put in that position. I never thought I would see such an injury on Godzilla either because of it"

"What about Rodan?" She asked, before gripping onto the seat when the helicopter started to descend to the ground.

"He suffered a terrible wound to the chest, but he looks like he's fine for the time being."

When the helicopter landed, Maddy looked outside to see the waterfall in the distance. "Isn't this the same waterfall Mothra cocooned herself the last time?" Maddy asked.

Dr. Chen nodded. "Yes, and the time before that when she went off to fight Ghidorah with Godzilla. She must really trust this place for her to come back every single time."

As they exited the helicopter, Maddy looked around. "Where's the rest of the team, I thought you said you were going to bring a team to take the egg away?" She asked.

Dr. Chen's eyes were too busy scanning their surroundings before quickly walking in the direction where the Waterfall was at. Maddy stood there confused till Dr. Stanton spoke. "Don't mind her. Ever since Mothra died, she's been acting weird over it. I swear her entire family is way too close to that Bug, it's very disturbing."

Maddy looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "Yet, you're working with Monarch who studies Titan twenty-four/seven?"

"Yeah, in the name of science and a good paycheck, but I don't have that "Personal Connection" like Ilene claims she and her sister have." He said, while they started to walk to catch up to Dr. Chen. "If you ask me, I think Ilene needs a break from Monarch."

Maddy gave him a look and wanted to say something to shut him up for talking like that about Dr. Chen. "So when is the rest of the team coming?" She asked again.

"They'll be here soon. Dr. Chen just wanted to get here as soon as possible to make sure Mothra's egg is ok. I mean we have two titans heading this way. I don't know what exactly we can do if any of those two show up, but she's determined to make sure nothing harms the egg."

It took twenty minutes to reach the waterfall and Dr. Chen and Maddy didn't waste time going through it. The water was ice cold and once they were on the other side, they were blinded by a bright blue light coming from the cave. Wiping her face, Maddy cracked open one of her eyes to see the blue light coming from Mothra's egg that was settled in the deepest part of the cave.

"Shit, that water was cold. Shit. Shit. Shit." She heard Dr. Stanton cursing in the background as Maddy and Dr. Chen slowly approached the egg.

The Egg was glowing and shaking and for some reason a sense of pure sadness washed over Maddy's face. She wasn't the only one who felt it, she could see it on Dr. Chen's face as they stood right next to it. Dr. Chen gently placed her hand on the egg and Maddy did the same just to see what it felt like. Granted she has seen Mothra's other egg, but only through the glass window. Her mother didn't want her to go near it because she thought she was too young. The egg felt weird, it had the same shell-like texture like any other egg, but it was soft at the same time. She could actually feel the larva moving around in there. It was under a lot of stress by the way it was thrashing in the soft shell.

"She's sad." Dr. Chen whispered.

Maddy looked up to see Dr. Chen rubbing the egg softly with her hand, hoping the tiny touch would bring some comfort. "Sad?"

"Yes, it's hard to explain, I can just feel it. She's sad for causing so much pain."

Maddy placed her hand on top of Dr. Chen and sighed. "I'm sure she's going to be ok." She said, because honestly she didn't know what else to say. It's hard to tell with Titans and their behavior. It's all guessing games to them.

"I can only hope."

"Come on, do you really think Godzilla would harm Mothra's egg? Just to be spiteful?"

Before Dr. Chen could answer, the ground started to shake causing the egg to thrash violently again. As if it could sense someone coming near the waterfall to hurt her. The shakes were getting stronger to the point Dr. Stanton tripped over his own two feet. Dr. Chen and Maddy crouch down and lean against the egg to steady themselves. "Oh my god, he's here." Dr. Chen whispered.

Dr. Stanton stayed on the floor and looked over at the two women. "What do we do now? We didn't expect him to be here so soon? If he sees the others flying over here to retrieve the egg, he's going to destroy them."

"Call Barnes to stay back till it's safe." Dr. Chen shouted.

They all went quiet when something large stopped right in front of the waterfall. The final step made the whole place shake causing dirt and rocks to fall from the ceiling. Maddy sneezed from the dust before covering her mouth. "What do we do?" Maddy muffled through her hand.

"Just don't move and pray." Dr. Stanton whispered calmly though Maddy could see the fear in his eyes since he was so close to the waterfall. "If we're lucky, he's just going to cave in this place and we'll all have a very quick death."

"Rick, seriously?" Dr. Chen whispered back harshly.

"What? You know I'm right, Ilene."

"Guys, what is that?" Maddy asked, pointing at something that was coming into the cave.

They stayed perfectly still when a giant tentacle floated it's way into the cave followed by another one from behind and headed straight towards the egg. Maddy held on to Dr. Chen tight, fearing the worst on what's about to transpire. She could already see herself covered in egg mush while letting the harsh reality sink in that there won't be another Mothra, only to blink when the tentacles softly padded the top of the egg. Like it was making sure the egg was still here and intact before caressing the soft shell as gently as possible. The bright glow began to dim to a dark blue color and the thrashing stopped almost immediately. They soon heard a loud, rattle sound coming from the other side of the waterfall which made the egg pulse calmly.

"From the looks of it, it must be Titanus Scylla." Dr. Chen said, trying so hard to stay as calm and quiet as possible.

Scylla then made a cooing-like sound before giving the egg another soft caress. The egg stopped moving, but was still displaying a soft glow. Maddy's face scrunched up when the large tentacle swooped over her and Dr. Chen slowly while hoping it wouldn't touch them. They were so close to it, Maddy could see the intense detail of each slimy suction cup. "What is she doing?" She whispered. She nearly jumped when some of the slim from one of the suction cups dripped right onto her back. Sending a cold shiver down her spine.

"I think Scylla came here to help?" Dr. Chen said quietly while pushing her and Maddy down to the ground more to avoid touching the large tentacles. She didn't want Scylla to know they were in there.

"Help?" Maddy asked.

They suddenly heard a few clicking sounds coming from Dr. Stanton's direction only to see him taking pictures with his phone.

"Rick, what are you doing?" Dr. Chen whispered, clearly annoyed.

"What does it look like? It's not everyday we're this close to a Titan. Now smile and say cheese." He said, pointing the phone at her and Maddy.

"Dr. Stanton, is this really the right time?" Maddy asked before turning her attention back to Dr. Chen. "Do you really think she's here to help?"

Dr. Chen nodded. "Yes, perhaps she was called over here to protect the egg as well."

Dr. Stanton chuckled. "Oh man, I can see her giant eyes even through the water."

The egg pulse a few more times which Scylla responded by cooing softly. Maddy was stunned. Was Scylla talking to the Egg and if so, was the egg actually answering back? She quickly covered her mouth to prevent her from gagging when she felt the slim...drool...leaking down to her pants.

The tentacles quickly retreated when another set of footsteps could be heard followed by a loud roar. Godzilla had arrived and he sounded very angry. The entire cave started to rattle once again thanks to Scylla turning herself around to face Godzilla. Dr. Stanton picked himself up from the floor and shouted, "Come on, if they're going to fight, we need to get out of here right now."

"What about the egg?" Dr. Chen said, picking herself and Maddy off the ground.

"Well, let's just hope the Spider Lady can handle Godzilla since he's weak at the moment. Come on!"

They quickly exit the cave, getting blindsided thanks to the waterfall and nearly hitting one of Scylla's long legs in the process. Maddy couldn't help, but looked up to see how Godzilla was doing. He was in bad shape once again. The wounds on his neck were hard to look at without cringing. His gills were completely shredded and raw with a few trails of blood leaking down his chest. He was roaring at Scylla while stomping his tail in the background. No doubt demanding her to move which Scylla cried back while pressing her back against the waterfall. Scylla even went as far as raising her two front legs as an intimidation tactic before hissing at Godzilla. Maddy had to cover her ears from the loud exchanges of roars and cries, while holding onto Dr. Chen's hand as they headed back to their helicopter.

By the end of the day, neither Godzilla or Scylla moved from their spot with the two of them giving each other a deadly stare down. Mothra's egg was safe for now, but Monarch was still keeping a close watch on the Titans just in case. From the looks of it, Scylla wasn't there to harm the egg and making sure Godzilla wouldn't do the same either and due to Godzilla's weakened state, he had no choice, but to wait till he's healed up or for Scylla to leave.

Rodan was last seen flying back to his home around Fiji to lick his wounds and recover his pride once again.

Maddy ended up grounded for sneaking off after confessing to her father where she went and had to apologize for nearly costing Dr. Chen and Dr. Stanton their jobs for allowing her to follow them to China.

That night Maddy couldn't sleep a wink. She was curious how long it would take till the egg hatched once again…

Three Years after Boston:

After that little event between Godzilla and Rodan, Maddy felt like everything was at a stance still in her opinion. For the first six months of the new year everyone at Monarch were watching and waiting for the egg to hatch or for Godzilla and Scylla to tear each other apart. Godzilla refused to move from his spot even if it meant not eating or swimming around his territorial routes like he would normally do. Which was good according to Dr. Chen. With his gills still badly damaged and taking a long time to heal, he might not be capable of swimming anyway.

She was surprised her Father showed a bit of guilt for Godzilla's burden. No doubt if he still had his home, his healing process wouldn't have taken this long.

Scylla proved to be just as stubborn as Godzilla since she too refuses to move from her spot. Going days without sleep and only slept when Godzilla slept. The staring between them was intense, but it was still a wonderful and curious thing to see. Once in a while they would actually catch them exchanging cries, roars and sounds with each other as if they were having a casual conversation or bantering.

Perhaps they were becoming friends?

During that time, life went back to normal, somewhat, for Maddy. She just turned sixteen and just entered her Junior year of High School. Her Father was working long hours now with Monarch and pretty much took over the duties of the Late Dr. Serizawa, whether he liked it or not. He would complain, but Maddy knew the truth. She lost count how many times she would find her dad sleeping at the dining table with Dr. Serizawa's book wide open. The last piece of work of the man who studied Godzilla all his adult life and went as far as sacrificing himself for the giant Titan. Her Dad was finally seeing something in Godzilla just like her mother and the rest of Monarch saw.

School was hell and that's the nicest way she could put it. Her father wanted her to live a normal teenage life, but did he forget how awful teenage life was? It didn't take long for the whole student body to figure out she was THE "Madison Russell." You know, the daughter of the Bitch who released the Three headed Demon to the world and caused so much damage and deaths. It seems like everywhere she would go she would get blocked by teens and even teachers sneering at her about certain family or friends they lost during the Titans' invasion and how their lives are now turned upside down over it.

On a funny note, the school is now practicing Titan evacuation drills just like they do in case of fire, floods and hurricanes.

She had no friends. Not even the Outcasts would talk to her. Most of the time she would tell herself she didn't need them. She had friends at Monarch that loved her so why make friends with other teen girls who only want to talk about fashion, social media and boys. It was hard to spark up a conversation anyway since most of the time, she would only talk about Monarch and Godzilla. Sure she would still talk to Dr. Chen over the phone or when she would come over to visit, but most of the time she would just be alone in her room, listening to some recordings on a website called Titan Truth by some Conspiracy Theories named Bernie Hayes. Her Dad thinks he's a Nutjob because for some reason Mr. Hayes thinks the company APEX has something fishing going on that involves Godzilla and the other Titans. It sounded crazy even to her, but it was still entertaining to listen no less. He gets over a million hits everyday.

Around a hot and humid day in July, Maddy got a text from Dr. Chen. Apparently, the next Mothra finally hatched from her egg after six months of waiting. She called her back asking if everything was alright. How did Godzilla react to it? Did he try to harm Mothra? And what about Scylla? Dr. Chen was surprised how calmly Godzilla was from seeing Mothra. After some intense staring and them exchanging clicks and growls, Godzilla let the larva settle on his back and they took off to his temporary home. Though Dr. Chen noted Godzilla and Mothra didn't look happy being around each other.

"I have a feeling something between them broke." Dr. Chen stated.

During the fall and winter months, Mothra stayed as a larva while keeping her distance from Godzilla and Rodan. A lot of people thought Rodan would come back to her, but instead kept to himself close to his volcano home. Most of the time they would catch Mothra hanging around Scylla like Scylla just took over Rodan's job as the "Queen's" bodyguard. Which was nice to Maddy, from the pictures Dr. Chen took off the larva, so sad and dull, she could use the company and companionship since Godzilla was giving her the "Cold Shoulder." It made Maddy wonder if there was more to Godzilla and Mothra than them being "Allies" which made her chuckle a bit. She can't really picture Godzilla as "Boyfriend Material."

Speaking of Boy and Friend, the last part of the year was a little awkward for Maddy. She finally experienced Teenage Dramas that didn't involve a massive giant lizard or a Secret Organization. She made a friend...well...somewhat of a friend. It was more like she was miserable at school and so was he so why not be miserable together, right? Either way, she had a friend. Which triggered the annoying "Awws" and "Ooohs" from Dr. Chen and all her adult friends from Monarch since "Their little Maddy is growing up and liking boys now." Geez, she wasn't five anymore, she was almost seventeen and Josh wasn't someone she would date if she ever went down that road. Her life was too "Strange" to bring in a boyfriend. She wasn't sure if Josh felt anything for her and was too embarrassed to ask since he was a real timid guy. He was great with computers, bragged to her that he was a "Hacker" and done some pretty illegal things on the web, but she had a feeling he was trying to impress her like how Rodan would show his wings in front of Mothra years ago. With his short and stocky look, thick glasses and long, uncombed hair and Gamer personality, she could tell he didn't have much luck with the girls in their school, but she didn't care because he didn't judge her life. They met when they were assigned as partners for a Science Project and he knew her, but never really talked to her. In fact the first thing out of Josh's mouth was "So your family studies Titans, have you ever been near one?"

Maddy wasn't even offended by it, in fact she just smiled and said. "Yeah many times. In fact I was there when my mom woke up Monster Zero and I was there when Godzilla killed him" She said, hoping to scare him off like so many others before.

Instead he looked nervous yet amazed at the same time. "Cool…"

And thus a friendship was born.

Around Thanksgiving, she wanted to introduce him to her Dad, but even that conversation was awkward. She remembered her dad looking at her strangely.

"A friend?" He asked, as he placed his suitcase down and began to undo his tie. She was happy to see him home and be home for the next two weeks due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

She nodded. "Yeah, I wanted to invite my friend over for Thanksgiving." She said, like it was no big deal.

Mark blinked. "Since when do you have a friend?" Before walking towards the kitchen.

"Since the beginning of the fall semester. He's in my science class, we do projects together." She said, while following him into the Kitchen.

Mark stopped and turned around to stare at her. "HE?" He said, in disbelief.

"Yeah, his name is Josh and his parents are going to be out of town visiting his "Oh So Perfect'' brother at College and he didn't want to go so I thought 'Hey I can't let him starve so why not bring him over for dinner." She said nervously.

The staring went on so she continued.

"Besides, with Dr. Chen visiting her sister and her family, we'll have an extra plate to spare."

Mark ran his hand through his hair and couldn't help, but look disappointed about something.

"What's wrong?" She asked, a little worried. "I didn't think it was a big deal."

"It's not Maddy, really. I'm just shocked that you had a friend, that's all. My god, what was the last time we sat down and talked about what's been going on."

"Oh dad, we've both been busy so it's understandable." She said.

"No it's not. I just don't want us to drift apart like we did all those years ago."

She went up to him and hugged him. "We're not. I'm happy. I'm happy to see you acting like yourself again and loving life."

Mark hugged her tighter and they stayed that way for a minute in complete silence. After that, Mark patted her back and cleared his throat. "So this Josh, he's not...he's not your boyfriend, is he?"

Maddy pulled away from him. 'Dad…" She said annoyingly while giving him a playful hit on the arm.

"What? Just asking. Look I know your mother is not here to handle things when it comes to boys and I know we never talk about it, but you are older and might be feeling some things toward this Josh fellow and-"

"Dad, we're just friends. We happen to like the same things and he gives me rides to school." She said, blushing.

"I'm not going to forbid it, Maddy, I just hope you're smart enough to have protecti-"

"DAD!" She screamed, her face turning beet red.

Thanksgiving was funny in her opinion. When Mark got a good look at Josh, the thought of them in a relationship quickly died in his mind. Still, he was happy Maddy had some companionship in her life. He told her over and over again he didn't like her stuck in her room listening to that guy on the Titan Truth Podcast.

Around Christmas time, Mothra finally cocooned and once again Godzilla was there with Scylla preventing him from going near her.

Maddy thought it was cute seeing Scylla acting like a protected friend. The way she and Mothra would interact with each other, it looked like they've been friends for millions of years.

Four Years after Boston:

It was the biggest surprise in all of Monarch's history and Maddy can recall the months leading up to it.

The last time Mothra laid her egg, it was quick. She somehow magically formed it and laid it before heading out to fight Ghidorah, but now for some reason she was taking her time with it. Over the months, the pictures and footage they would take of her, they would notice her body expanding, her flying decreasing and just appearing tired and lethargic. Not to mention Godzilla was becoming severely protected over her. It got to the point, they couldn't send Spy Cams over there because Godzilla would destroy them instantly. Her Dad made a remark not to spy on them for a while unless they want Godzilla to come down and destroy Castle Bravo. They caught him a few times already circling the outpost while flashing his plates again. A clear sign he was warning them about something. Maybe making sure they stay away from her egg, but why?

The last time, he tried to destroy it so why was he protecting this one now?

Around March, Mothra was huge and before they could watch her lay her egg, their Spy Cams were destroyed once again.

When they finally sent out another one, Mothra was already resting on top of her very unusually large egg. Dr. Chen was the first one to notice the difference between this new egg and Mothra's old ones. It wasn't round like a sphere, more oval like and it was bigger than the last egg. How she managed to push that egg out made every woman in Monarch cringe.

For the next month, Maddy was told, Mothra never left the egg alone. Either she was around it or Godzilla was so it was hard for Monarch to set up an outpost to study it. Theories about the egg began to arise around everyone in Monarch. Some thought it was just an empty egg, though they can't figure out why it was a different shape. Some thought maybe there was another larva in there which would explain why Mothra seemed so Motherly and protected over it, but that doesn't explain why Godzilla was around. And if it was another larva, did Mothra reproduce it herself or did she have help and if so, was there another moth flying around that Monarch didn't know about?

Maddy noticed her dad was on the phone constantly over the whole situation. If there was a "baby", he didn't want word to get out since he was afraid it might attract the wrong people or idiots. Mothra might be a peaceful Titan, but even the most peaceful one will provoke if their offspring were harmed. He didn't want anymore fatalities in his hands.

An employee from Monarch ended up getting fired for leaking information that there might be a baby Titan on it's way to people who would listen or pay great cash for it. People on the internet had a field day with that little piece of info. Some even ask if there was a baby, how the hell do Titans reproduce and who was lucky or unlucky enough to get Mothra pregnant? Others thought it was all a big fake since how can anyone trust anything on the internet nowadays? Monarch got hit with a lot of hate mail for trying to hide things from the public eye once again.

Bernie Hayes posted a Vlog about it on his website the next day called: Mothra's Pregnancy Theory: Who's the Baby Daddy?

Maddy received a rather cute picture of Godzilla resting on the island with his tail curled around the egg. A very rare thing to see for a creature as destructive and powerful as he was. It was nice to see him and Mothra looking out for one another after a year of coldness.

It was around the beginning of May when Ilene came to visit with a big smile on her face and holding a photo in her hand.

"Dr. Chen, is everything alright?" Maddy asked, escorting her to the dining room so Dr. Chen could sit down. "And where's my Dad."

"He's still in the car, talking on the phone to Mr. Coleman. They're trying to figure out how to hide this new discovery from the public eye."

Maddy raised an eyebrow. "New Discovery?" Maddy asked only to smile. "Does this have to do with Mothra's strange egg?

Dr. Chen nodded, smiling so big her mouth was actually hurting which made Maddy really giddy. "I was right, it wasn't an empty egg like a lot of people thought."

"You mean...another larva came out of the egg? Are you telling me there are other Moth-like Titans out there?" Maddy asked.

Dr. Chen laughed and shook her head. "Even better, Maddy. Look for yourself." She said, handing Maddy the picture. "The picture is a bit grainy due to our Spy Cams getting damaged from that tropical storm, but there's no question about it…"

Maddy nearly dropped the picture. "Is that…?" She asked in disbelief. The picture was blurry due to it being zoomed in, but she can see Mothra's claws holding a tiny, Newborn that looked exactly like Godzilla. "A baby Godzilla?"

Dr. Chen nodded, her eyes tearing up from glee. "Say hello to Godzilla Junior or Minilla for short."...
