I've came up with an AU, where the racers have different roles, and figured that I'd write a fanfic about it.
In this AU, Vanellope is now hated for a different reason, which also makes her a dangerous person. Nishishi! :3
Now the fanfic itself will have ships like Vanellope x Gloyd, Swizzle x Minty and Taffyta x Rancis. (I might add in my SugarSonas and...some of them I do ship with the racers. If you're okay with that, that is.)
Enjoy reading!

Over the snowy tundra and through the secluded forests, in the bright meadow stood the Sugar Rush Kingdom. In this kingdom, stood a Candy Palace, and in the palace lived a young prince. He was quite charming, sure, but don't be fooled by his looks. He was very energetic, mischievous and all in all, quite rebellious. His father, the king, was very strict about what he could and couldn't do, and that he had to follow the royal etiquettes in order to become the kingdom's future king. The kingdom's royal advisor was tasked with assisting the prince in any way possible, from tips to warnings. He hated etiquettes. He preferred fun and friends over that. In fact, he really enjoyed pranks as well. His 2 paladin friends were understanding of his feelings, but either way, they had to follow the king's orders, and keep the kingdom safe from any assassin attacking them.
Speaking of assassins, there was one particular assassin whom the kingdom feared the most. She was titled "The Candy Assassin" due to the candy that was mixed into her raven black hair. She was very dangerous, and showed no mercy to anyone who dared to take a wrong step into the Deep Woods, where she hid most of the time. What made her more fearful was the fact that her main target of assassination was the kingdom's prince himself, and it all started way back when they were just kids...
"Gloyd!" The first young paladin shouted, looking for the prince.
"Price Gloyd! Where are you?!" The second young paladin shouted, helping out his friend.
Their shouting caught attention of the young alchemist, who was in the middle of an experiment. She looked annoyed. "Swizzle. Rancis. What is going on?" She asked.
"Ah! Minty! We didn't notice you here!" Rancis stuttered.
"We're looking for Gloyd. Can you help us?" Swizzle asked.
Minty gasped. "He's up to his mischiefs again, isn't he?" She guessed.
"Most definitely, yeah." Swizzle folded his arms.
"Ugh...so rebellious..." Rancis muttered to himself.
"Then we have no time to waste." Minty grabbed Swizzle by his wrist, ignoring the cold feel of his armor, and pulled him towards her. "Come on!" She ran towards the forest, still holding the paladin's wrist, who was blushing at that time. Rancis was silently following them.
Meanwhile, Gloyd was in the Deep Woods. The very place he was warned not to venture into, since that's where a very dangerous assassin was hiding, but he ignored those warnings and went in there anyway. He chuckled to himself, telling himself that there's no threat in the Deep Woods, but what he didn't realize was that he just jinxed himself.
The bush next to him suddenly rustled. He jumped and looked at the rustling bush, standing still. He waited for something to come out of the bush. As he felt the tension rise up, a small cat with red fur came out of the bush and meowed, curiously looking at the tensed prince.
Gloyd looked back at the cat and calmed down. He knelt down to pet it. "Hey, kitty." He said in awe as the cat purred, rubbing its head against his hand.
Minty, Swizzle and Rancis ran to the small cabin that stood in the forest. The alchemist banged on the door, and it was then swung open by a young foreign druid.
"Adorabeezle! We need your assistance!" She shouted.
"What now…? What happened?" Adorabeezle yawned.
Swizzle ignored the fact that the druid was tired. "Have you seen Gloyd walking past the cabin?" He asked.
Adorabeezle shook her head. "No…but Slushy told me that she saw a young boy with brown hair walking past the cabin to the Deep Woods. Maybe that was him…" She said.
"It WAS him!" Minty shouted.
The paladins were shivering. "And he went to the Deep Woods?!" Rancis asked.
Adorabeezle simply nodded. Chills were running down their spines. Minty looked back at the boys. "We need to get him out of the Deep Woods, ASAP." She said.
"Right." Swizzle shakily nodded. "Before he gets kidnapped by The Candy Assassin." He added.
"I'll come with you 3." Adorabeezle said.
Minty sighed in relief. "Thank you, Adorabeezle." She smiled.
Gloyd kept petting the small cat, still in the Deep Woods. He was unaware of the fact that he wasn't alone in here. "Man…how long has it been? I should probably head back home…" He muttered to himself, then looked at the cat. "Sorry, kitty, but I gotta go. Maybe you can come with me, and then we can keep playing." He said.
The cat instead shivered, feeling the presence of someone else in the Deep Woods, and ran away from the prince. "Wait, no! Come back!" He shouted, but the cat didn't respond and disappeared from his vision. "Aww…" He sighed, saddened that the cat ran away, and might not come back.
Gloyd was about to go back when he felt a chill running down his spine. He looked around, confused. "Hello? Is…anyone here?" He asked.
He got no response, and his shivering got more intense. This actually angered him. "Hey! Whoever is here! Stop ignoring me!" He shouted.
A pair of hazelnut eyes started glowing from the dark. The prince jumped when he saw the eyes looking at him, but couldn't look away from them. He was standing still, unsure of what to do.
The eyes then disappeared, scaring him even more. "Uhhh, h-hey! C-can you show yourself?!" He sheepishly asked.
"Behind you…"
Gloyd quickly looked behind him and suddenly got attacked by a dagger. It sliced his neck and hit the tree. The prince fell down and screamed in pain, clutching his neck where he got cut. As he sobbed, someone walked past him to grab the dagger. He looked up and saw a young girl, wearing a hood which covered her face. They stood still, looking at each other. When he looked at her raven black hair, he was shocked. There was candy mixed into it. It was no ordinary girl. She was The Candy Assassin he was warned about. She approached him, grabbed her dagger and stuck it inches away from his neck, scaring him even more. The girl then vanished into the darkness of the Deep Woods, out of his eyesight.
He shakily tried to move away from the dagger, but couldn't. His collar was stuck to the dagger. He looked down at his hand and saw blood on it. He knew that it was from the large cut on his neck, where he got sliced by her dagger. Terrified, he screamed for help, crying.
The rescuing kids have been in the forest for quite a while now, and while wandering in the secluded part of the it, Adorabeezle, now a wolf, stopped and perked her ears up when she heard crying of a young boy.
Minty, Swizzle and Rancis stopped when she did. "Adorabeezle? What's wrong?" The alchemist asked.
"I hear…crying." The wolf said, looking around.
Swizzle gasped. "That must be Gloyd!" He said.
Rancis pulled out his sword, ready to attack. "Then let's go save him!"
"Prince Gloyd! We're coming!" Minty shouted as she jumped over a log.
Adorabeezle quickly shapeshifted back into a human, clutching her staff. "Minty! Wait!" The druid shouted, running after Minty, with Swizzle and Rancis following suit.
In the Deep Woods, Minty put on her night vision goggles to navigate through the darkness better and lead her friends, while searching for the source of the sound they heard outside of the Deep Woods. Swizzle saw what looks like an odd stick, and nudged Rancis by his shoulder. "Dude, look." He pointed at the 'stick'.
The young paladins looked closer at it. "What is that? A stick?" Rancis asked.
Minty and Adorabeezle heard the boys and approached them. The druid carefully examined the 'stick'. "That's…not a stick." She said.
The alchemist grabbed the 'stick' to reveal a dagger. "It's a dagger." She showed the dagger to the boys.
"Ah!"
The sound alerted the 4 kids, and when they looked behind the tree, they widened their eyes. They found him!
Adorabeezle gasped. "Prince Gloyd! Thank god you're okay!" She knelt down to the shivering boy and shrieked when she saw the large cut on his neck.
The other 3 were also shocked. "Gloyd, how did that happen?!" Swizzle asked.
Gloyd shakily looked up at the kids. "Umm…well…I-I…" He stuttered, lost in words.
Minty examined the dagger when realization hit her. "Did The Candy Assassin do this?!" The alchemist asked.
"Y-yeah. I-I-I saw her with my v-very eyes…" Gloyd muttered quietly.
"Ugh…now do you understand why Taffyta keeps warning you about her?!" Minty stood up and put her hands on her hips, glaring at the prince.
"Yes…" Gloyd admitted.
Adorabeezle grabbed Gloyd by his wrist and picked him up. "Let's go to my cabin. I'll heal you there." She suggested.
"Please do." Rancis said, worried.
"But I'll warn you. My healing magic is not as good as your kingdom's cleric's healing magic, so he might end up with a scar on his neck." Adorabeezle warned.
"I-I'm okay with having a scar." Gloyd smiled weakly.
The 5 kids then walked out of the Deep Woods, not encountering The Candy Assassin on the way. In Adorabeezle's cabin, she casted a healing spell on Gloyd, who held Slushy close to him. And as she warned them earlier, in place of a cut, a large scar was left on his neck. He let go of the light blue fox and placed his hand on his neck, feeling the scar. He knew that this would be a permanent scar. Swizzle and Rancis thanked the druid for saving the rebellious prince and they, along with Alchemist Minty, escorted him out of the forest as she waved farewell to them. Back in the kingdom, Gloyd was confronted by the king and the royal advisor Taffyta about venturing into the Deep Woods alone. They figured that The Candy Assassin was the one who hurt him, and Druid Adorabeezle was the one who healed him, since her healing magic was not as good as the kingdom's cleric's. Scared that this might happen again, they had the captain of the Royal Guard keeping an eye on the prince while in the kingdom, and if he ever wanted to go out to the forest, either Swizzle or Rancis would be with him, to make sure he didn't run away to the Deep Woods or any dangerous part of the forest. This would last for quite a while.
