This is where I put my random short one shots. Enjoy!
This one is set in early season 1.

Story 1: The Cards Don't Lie
"You do card readings?" Juliet asked.
"Yes, I do. It's one of my specialties. I have a deck with me, too."
"Let's do it, then."
Shawn pulled out a deck of playing cards.
"Oh, I thought you were talking about tarot cards," Juliet said with a look of confusion on her face.
Shawn smiled. "These work better, trust me."
Shawn didn't actually know how to do tarot readings, so he was making all this up as he went along. He made a mental note to learn tarot cards.
He drew three cards: Queen of spades, 3 of clubs, and 10 of diamonds.
"Ah, yes. The queen shows you will have..." he waved his hand over the card. "...a bright future. The three, let's see. Ah yes, you are going to have a good meal this weekend. Likely a dinner. Very delicious."
"Are you asking me-"
"Shh... let the cards talk." He raised the last card to his face and touched his nose on it. "The red! It signifies... oh."
"Spencer, what are you doing?" It was Lassiter.
"I'm reading cards."
"O'Hara, are you encouraging this?"
Juliet shrugged.
"Wait, let me finish the last reading!" Shawn waved the card around and let it touch the case file Lassiter was holding. In an over dramatic voice, he said, "Murder!"
"Is he right, Carlton?"
Lassiter tossed the case file onto the desk, and Shawn was the first to look through it. And while murder was a total guess, Shawn was right.
"Impressive," Juliet said.
"Stop humoring him, O'Hara. Come on, we have work to do." Lassiter picked up the case file and walked back to his desk.
Shawn put away his cards. "Can I come too, Lassie?"
"No!"
"So, Jules, dinner this weekend?"
Juliet laughed. "Nice try."
"You're the one playing with the future!"
"I may not be psychic, but I think you're the one playing with it," Juliet said with a smile as she stood up to follow her partner.
Shawn shrugged and watched her walk away.
The next Monday, Shawn went straight to Juliet.
"So, how was the three of clubs? Did you have a good dinner over the weekend?"
Juliet nodded. "In fact, I tried out a new recipe and it was very good. Thanks, Shawn!"
Shawn could tell there was a very slight gloating tone in her voice. "Well, the cards don't lie."
There's the first of many. I'll update this at no particular time with whatever I think of. Enjoy!
