Within the confines of my world lie a great many mysteries, and truths, among lies. Hidden secrets, specially hidden from my kind for millennia, taken from minds that discovered them, ripped from pages with words of them inscribed. Deity and Man alike, secrets flowed, and the toll was taken.

Although fairly confusing to you now, my hope is to enlighten thee with enough knowledge of me and my tale, so that whatever may happen in my absence, does not make fruitless the challenges I and my comrades suffered. Nor make the losses taken, vain.

Please. Lend me Thy ear, grant me the smallest request. Fore' my time ends itself here. The life of one Izaneus. The tale of one Phortea. The end of one secret.

This. was how it began.

In a time long passed I was once born. My life uneventful, if average among my kin, for a good period of warmth and comfortability. We were a noble house, if long receded from society for... many reasons, crimes of my ancestors that never healed with the minds of many. Once high standing, now lucky if the roof didn't crash over our head. Content with the few servants who decided to stay with us. Either for familial ties for some other reason.

I was more than fine with this life, living simply, subtle. As though nothing to us mattered more than life itself. Quiet, peaceful, how I long for those days.

I was the youngest of us, I was the youngest, though I had my brother. My only brother, my mother, and my father.

Timeus, Eldest, second kindest, and taught me most of what i know of life aside from my parents and experience. He helped me understand life, and the Emotional turmoil when i couldn't make sense of it all.

My mother Mariisia, Kind as her years... but her passion toward our older ancestry eventually drove me away.. though I will always love her, and I strive to move on even now.

My father, Tarium, His stoic manner and eloquent way of life brought me up into my current self, taught me what little I know of our family's special little sword fighting style... not that I had any real talent residing in the art..

My true story, began the day I discovered my world's magic.

I was around... 6 or 7 I believe. There was always something around me, flitting about. never tangible, nor physical for that matter.

I could still interact with it however. As could my mother, and father at times.

I felt it flow from somewhere whenever my mother used it to light the fireplace, or heat our food.. and a separate portion whenever she healed our scrapes.

I watched closely, and When a.. eventful night came up. My mother's healing capabilities proved useless, and I had the opportunity to show that id slowly been learning as well... together, we were able to suppress the danger for another day... but I'll tell this later.

From then on I was being professionally tutored in magic. I was a very quick learner. And began studying on my own. passion at the forefront of my mind. I was also taking an interest in art, drawing, painting, singing.

I was making swifter progress than anyone in my family accounted for... especially my mother.

The night we healed together, and she saw my potential, a light of greed flashed in her eyes, and she began finding monetary services for my arcane talents.I was... 16, I believe. and my abilities were all that mattered

I... could not. take it. after years of being exploited for my passion I finally ran, and ran. until my lungs burnt and the taste of copper covered my mouth.

I... simply couldn't.. not at that age.. I didn't have the discipline or capacity needed. I'm sorry. mother.

Exhausted from running, and feeling as though id earned some semblance of a break. I'd fallen on my ass quicker than I would have liked. leaning against a fallen tree.

it was here when I began to hear the chanting...

"My servant that existed somewhere in this vast universe..."

Not familiar with the incantation. I'd grabbed my grimoire, my spell book, so to speak, and rummaged through its lore. which I'd discovered, and copied through other such arcane titles and my own exploration through the years.

"My divine, beautiful, wise, powerful servant, heed my call,..."

There it was again!! the word, "servant" had been mentioned twice, and unfortunately, it didn't seem to be a consensual contract, meaning something was binding me against my will. To an agreement I'd no say in.

peachy.

"I wish from very bottom of my heart and add to my guidance and appear!"At this point the chanting had stopped, and I'd learned something interesting.

the tree I was previously leaning against had turned into an oblong Turquoise, interdimensional portal!

Wonderful!

Cursing my luck, as I was falling into the transportation magic, I resigned myself to whatever fate awaited me. hopefully it wasn't as bad as what I was running from.

it was... something. An adventure most definitely. If nothing else it was an adventure...

Hello! and welcome to the first chapter of my first story, I hope you'll enjoy, don't be afraid to criticize, but please don't flame for minor things. I hope we'll all enjoy this little journey!
