A/N: This is one of those just for fun things that honestly, no one will probably ever end up reading. Oh well. Basically, at the start of SkyBound, the ninjas and Dareth are filming a movie. I've always wondered what the movie was about and how it went. Plot, characters, battles for sure if that one scene they showed us was any indicators. And knowing the ninja, it could easily turn into a series of movies. Just saying… so this is simply me trying to write out what the mystery movie, which I have dubbed Spin Harmony and the Golden Scroll of Destiny, is about. Enjoy if I actually did post this! (I know I can go months without posting a chapter for a new story.)
Chapter Summary: Two Brothers are Working together to Hide an Ancient Scroll. Lloyd forgets something very important about Today...
Prologue:
A cricket chirped loudly as two slim forms wove their way through the thick woods, the smaller of the two holding a glowing, golden scroll. The larger of the two paused, a glint of metal in his hand as he turned suddenly to thrust a sword at something that appeared to be following them. The loud clang of metal hitting metal made it clear that whatever was following them was most definitely sentient. "Brother… you must get to the Temple of A Thousand Dragons! If that scroll falls in the wrong hands…."
"You do not need to warn me brother." The smaller form moved past the now fighting bigger form, revealing an old man with a long white beard. "Just be care… Garmadon!" He yelled out as the mysterious attacker lunged forward, stabbing the man in the chest.
Garamdon's eyes widened in surprise, before he yelled out. "Wu! Run! I cannot hold him off forever!" When he hesitated to leave, a low growl escaped the elder as he thrusted his free hand out, a burst of magic throwing the younger further into the woods.
Wu took a few deep breaths, before running headfirst into the dense undergrowth. Weaving his way through the trees, he eventually made it to the edge of a clearing, where a large hidden temple stood. Moving swiftly, he darted into the temple, moving further into it. The sound of pursuit right behind him urging him forward as he clutched the scroll to his chest. Finally, he reached the temple's inner chamber, his eyes darting everywhere to make sure that he wasn't followed. Sitting the scroll on the conveniently placed pedestal, he turned around...to find himself facing an angry man with four arms, wielding four dangerous looking daggers.
Wu swallowed hard as he took a step back, reaching for something behind him. "Samukai… you are too late. The Golden Scroll of Destiny is in its final resting place. You cannot remove it now."
"We shall see about that Wu. Or do you think I am a fool?" Samukai suddenly flung one of his daggers, aiming at Wu's chest.
Wu flicked his hand forward, catching the dagger on the blade of a sword. "No one but my brother can defeat me on the sword. Do you care to try your hand at it, Samukai?"
Samukai snarled, lunging forward as he began making wild swipes with his daggers. Wu took several calming breaths as he dodged the blades, his own blade singing through the air as he blocked blow after blow. "I will be honored to be the first to beat you!"
Wu dodged around him, inching his way out of the temple and away from the man that was consumed in dark magic. "I am not sure that being so confident is a good idea just yet…" Wu broke off as he felt a sharp blade press against his back.
Samukai shook his head, raising all four daggers high into the air. "You appear to forget… I have followers...and your brother." As he spoke, he nodded his head to one of his many loyal for some reason followers. They shifted slightly, tossing a bound Garmadon down on the ground in front of them, his injury already healed with the assistance of a light spell.
"Garmadon!" Wu lowered his blade, his heart pounding at the sight of his brother and only friend being held against his will.
"Wu! Whatever it is he offers, it is not worth it! The Golden Scroll of Destiny is more important than both of our lives combined together!" Garmadon warned his brother, already catching onto what Samukai's plan is.
Samukai snorted, placing two hands behind his back, as if that made him look less menacing. "What will it be? The Golden Scroll of Destiny, or your brother's very own life?" Samukai nodded to the guard behind Garmadon, who obediently pulled out his sword and held it out to Garmadon's neck.
Wu sucked in a breath, panic rising up as he looked between his brother and the enemy. The lives of untold millions would be changed if he got a hold of the scroll… lowering hsi blade, Wu started to nod slowly. A smirk crossed Samukai's features as he moved back the way that they had come, clearly to go after the Golden Scroll. Wu took a deep breath, before yelling out in the ancient tongue. "Saisho ni yōso no shiren ni gōkaku shinakereba, aku wa korera no hōru o tsūka dekimasen. Shizen sonomono ga, ninja no toki ga kuru made shinden o kakushi tsudzukemasu!"
"No!" Samukai roared, even as he lunged forward, hand darting out as he slapped Wu across the face. However, it was too late, the spell taking place immediately. Snarling, Samukai summoned his dark magic, the black ooze that signified its use covering him and his followers.
Garmadon noticed this, and quickly summoned another spell, one to remove him and his brother from the Temple as the woods quickly overpowered it…..
Wu rubbed where the tight ropes had cut into his brother's wrists, worry creasing his brow. "I am sorry brother… I just wanted to save both, you and the Scroll."
Garmadon sighed, curling his fingers around Wu's, stilling them instantly. "It's alright… though I must warn you about the spell that I had used back there…."
Bringggg! Bringgg! A hand darted out, slamming against the blazing alarm clock as if it were the worst enemy that anyone has ever had to deal with. A groan accompanied the hand as a head of messy blonde hair lifted up from underneath the covers, bleary green eyes staring blankly at the clock. "Morning already?" The teen mumbled as he dragged himself out of bed, stifling a yawn even as the slender phone sitting on the bedside table with his alarm clock went off. Snagging it up, he pressed the answer button without checking who it was. "Mornin…"
"Morning to you too Sleepy Beauty. You do remember that today is the big day… right?"
The teen paused, brow creasing with puzzlement as he tried to remember what was special about today as he pulled his closet open to start digging through it for something to wear to school. "Of course not! Um… do you remember what's special about today? Just making sure that you know is all!"
"...You forgot that we're doing a number during today's assembly today didn't you?"
A burst of laughter escaped the teen as he reached over to grab the dragon themed calendar that was hanging on his closet door. "Okay… I haven't forgotten anything. That isn't until the twentieth, which isn't until…" His voice broke off as he glanced at the calendar, his eyes zeroing on the bright green circle that was surrounding that day's date. "Today… oh man! I totally forgot about it, Kai!"
"Reason why I'm reminding you...and Jay….and Cole… Okay I forgot too. Zane called to remind me. Does that make you feel better?"
"Much better." Lloyd sighed, before changing his mind about the green hoodie, reaching instead to grab a black leather jacket with a green dragon stitched into the back. "I'll make sure to wear our bandfits."
"No! Absolutely not! We've been over this before… there is no such thing as a bandfit… it's a band outfit! You're gonna end up encouraging Jay!"
Lloyd giggled as he readjusted his grip on the phone, digging through his clean jeans in search of the pair that had Spin Harmony stitched down the side. "That's the point. I've got to go Kai. See you at school."
"Bye Kid!" The line went dead as the two friends hung up with each other finally. Lloyd tucked his jeans over his arm with his leather jacket before he reached out and snagged up a green tye-dye tee-shirt.
Lloyd narrowed his eyes as he skated closer and closer to the stairs that lead down to the lower part of the city where the local high school was located at… He was going to do it this time… he was not a wimp… Lloyd slammed his foot onto the ground, kicking his skateboard up into his hands before darting down the stairs two at a time. Sheepishly, he looked around to see if anyone had noticed. Not seeing any of his friends, he dropped the green and gold skateboard down and was about to start skating again when a familiar voice sliced through the air.
"Still too chicken to make the jump I see." Another teen, with pitch black hair and dark brown eyes, suddenly skated into view, his orange and black skateboard blending in rather perfectly with his Spin Harmony jeans and black leather jacket that had an orange dragon stitched into the back, the jacket being open to reveal an orange and black tye-dye shirt.
"Oh come on Cole! You've never made the jump either!" Lloyd whined at his friend, rolling his eyes skyward as he spoke.
"Nope. Never will either." Cole waited for Lloyd to skate over to him, before taking off in the direction of the school. "Advantage of living closer to the school."
Lloyd scowled at his back, even as four more skateboarders joined them. "What's up guys? Did Lloyd make the jump today?" The teen with spiky auburn hair asked, his hazel eyes flashing with the smallest hint of amusement. His voice identified him as Kai from earlier.
Cole shook his head, a snigger escaping him. "He chickened out the last second."
Lloyd could feel himself turn red in the face, quickly giving his skateboard an extra push to get himself up ahead of his friends. The only girl in the group reached over and smacked the two boys, while the other two boys glanced over at each other, worry creasing their brows. The smaller of the two followed Lloyd's example, bringing his electric blue skateboard ever closer to him. "Lloyd...wait up! They're just teasing! I mean you live the furthest from the school and actually have to pass the stairs in the first place unlike us and when we were little we always would see the much bigger kids jump down the stairs on their skateboards…. Am I helping at all?"
Lloyd chuckled, stopping just long enough to reach over and ruffle his light brown hair. "Totally Jay. Come on. I bet we can beat the others to class!" He raised his voice with that last bit, drawing startled yelps from the others. The six friends quickly pushed off, their skateboards skimming across the ground as they headed straight to the large high school that was their final destination.
A/N: Okay... I am posting this, just to see what everyone's reaction is to this idea. In case it still isn't obvious to you, this is supposed to be the movie that the ninjas filmed at the beginning of SkyBound. Hopefully you all like it. If not... go find something else to read. This will take multiple chapters so please go ahead. I already have a bit typed up, though not close to the end. If people like this, I'll update as often as possible... if not it will be slow going. While I do accept Favorties and Follows, I mainly go by REVIEWS. So please review!
Also... Lloyd will appear OOC in this since the whole point of this story is that he is basically scared of his own shadow and has to well... he's the green ninja, enough said.
Review!
