Christian rolled over and reached out for Ana, only to find her side of the bed cool. He slowly opened his eyes wondering how long she'd been gone. Sitting up, he saw the note on her pillow and picked it up.

I had a great time. Thanks for listening, and well everything else. You're a great guy but I can't be in a serious relationship right now.

See you around,

-A

Christian's eyes widened in disbelief. Never had he been given a no from a woman. Sure, some would play hard to get but this. This situation was entirely different. He swore under his breath when he realized he didn't tell Ana who he really was.

"She's about to find out," he muttered under his breath. Throwing the covers off, he headed to the bathroom to start his day. Because of how close he was to his office, he knew it'd only take him fifteen minutes total. Although he was a bit worried about how today would go, he was still amused by it.

"Never a dull moment Grey," he said aloud in the shower.

Crap.

Anastasia was late.

Ten minutes late to be precise. But she had a good reason. Well, not one she could give Ros, the CEO of Grey Enterprises, but still.

She was glad she left early from Christian's place and took a cab home. She quickly showered, applied her makeup, and put on her most flattering, yet professional and sexy dress. She loved the form-fitting red body con dress with the black heels. She put her hair up in a knot with a clip, and she put on her favorite red lipstick. Her bangs made her look chic-well at least to her- and she was out the door. But she still arrived ten minutes late. Thankfully she called ahead and gave Ros receptionist some BS answer about traffic being terrible, and the woman told her to not rush. She was able to take a deep breath and relax in her cab the rest of the way. It allowed her to mentally go over her environmental plan. Once she had settled her mind somewhat of this proposal she thought back to last night.

Wow.

Christian whatever his last name, was a man that knew what he was doing. Ana didn't know a girl could orgasm that many times in one night. She squirmed in her seat thinking about it. The man was absolutely brilliant with his tongue. And hands. And dick. Now that, was a work of art in itself.

She never believed herself to be a size queen. But then she got more of it. And now she couldn't help it. It was now the minimum requirement. After not being a douche. The way he looked at her and the way he kissed her made her feel beautiful. Something she hadn't felt in a long time. Jose, her now ex-fiance was a piece of work. Claiming to love her, to want her, but only to leave when something more interesting came by. He even proposed to her! Granted, she knew in the back of her head she should've refused but she didn't want to embarrass him. Now she was the one who was mortified. Hopefully, if Grey Enterprises takes this deal she can leave the firm they work at and do more work that can better help society. The payout for this would be big. And that was what she needed to focus on. Helping her father, and getting herself on her feet. Christian and his magical dick would have to be thought of some other time.

"Right this way Ms. Steele."

Ana smiled at the beautiful blonde woman. She thought that women like her would instantly dislike people like Ana. But her warm smile and sparkling brown eyes eased Ana somewhat. As they walked down the hall Andrea, the secretary spoke lightly.

"So, are you nervous?"

Ana shook her head.

"No. Excited to present my idea but not nervous. I've gone over this too much to be anything else." Andrea nodded, and she glanced over her shoulder at Ana with respect in her gaze.

"Great." When they arrived at the door Andrea winked at her.

"Good luck Ms. Steele."

Ana gave her a smile before taking a deep breath and pushing the door open. She pasted on her professional smile, which suddenly felt frozen on her face when she saw the man who she slept with sitting beside Ros Bailey. The attractive African-American woman stood and held out her hand, as she was standing in front of her.

"Hello, Ms. Steele. As you know I am Ros Bailey. Over there is the CEO of Grey Enterprises Christian Grey." Ana's eyes widened in shock even as she began to pale. She wanted to run at that moment. As if her life couldn't get more screwed up she unknowingly slept with the CEO of Grey Enterprises? Was that why he didn't want to tell her his last name?

Christian stood front across the desk and held out his hand.

"Pleased to meet you, Ms. Steele. Ms. Bailey has told me so much about you I feel as if I already know you," he said quietly.

"I bet you do," Ana said under her breath.

"Excuse me?" Ros said. Ana forced another smile before speaking. "Oh, nothing. It's just I expected for only us to meet. I was unaware that I was being ambushed," she said lightly. Ros' eyes widened before she grinned.

"I like you, Ms. Steele," Ros said before laughing.

"Ana. You can call me Ana," she said easily. Ros nodded.

"Very well. And to answer your question boss man over there typically sits in meetings such as this. Anything considering green initiatives and or a possible new direction and Mr. Grey is involved," Ros explained as she led Ana over to the back of the room where she could set up. It didn't take long as Ana had already emailed Andrea what needed to be on the projector and she handed out a copy of her plan. Ana took a deep breath before she began.

"First, I want to thank you both for agreeing to this meeting with me. I am sure you have several important places to be so I will keep this brief." Ana could see that Ros was impressed, but Christian's face gave nothing away. She chose not to think about that and instead focus on what she needed to say.

"Your company has a reputation of being on the cutting edge. Especially in regards to solar power and technology. But what if there was a way to even cut back on what technology wastes?"

"That is why we use solar power to fuel most of our products and fifty percent of our machines are taken from older machines," Christian easily supplied. Ana nodded.

"That may be true. But what about the other fifty percent? If you're like every other company, you have to dispose of the waste. And it's no secret if we keep discarding plastic and other materials into our oceans we could be endangering our wildlife and even waters. A solution to that would be to start a circular economy within the company."

Ros leaned forward in her seat. She seemed interested, And Ana fed off of that.

"When I was being escorted up here I saw the recycle bins littered throughout the building. But, I saw it mixed in with regular trash. People see it, they acknowledge that it's something that should be done, but it's not properly enforced. Granted our entire lives we were told to throw away the trash and it gets magically taken away. But does anyone know where it goes? And can we trust that the place we send it will not suffer as a result of our trash? Within the circular economy, we can form a proper linear order, except when we discard the parts we no longer need, we can find other uses for them. If it's not for the machines, it can be for the company. Products that can be created with discarded scraps."

"Another's man's treasure," Ros breathed out.

"Yes," Ana said. "Additionally you can encourage employee participation by setting up a rewards system. A famous car company has proven the commercial benefit of such a move, claiming to generate $1bn in annual revenue from recycling. In last year's sustainability report, also reported it used 199.8MW of renewable energy in 2016, saving $5m in the process. Now imagine Grey Enterprises already a billion-dollar company should take this on. You would make more money, your stock would probably sky-rocket and one of your many claims to fame would be that you have no waste in any part of your company. From its inception down to the final product."

Ana saw the screen click on the projector and knew it was on the ending slide, so she pressed the off button. Ros studied the plan before smiling at Ana.

"I have to say that I am impressed. But Ana, I want you to know that before you came here, I was already planning on taking this initiative. I just wanted to see if you would have explained it as thoroughly as you did."

Ana's heart was racing in shock and pure joy. She made sure to keep her smile to a minimum.

"I am pleased that you would like to move forward with my initiative."

"We, of course, would need to discuss the budget. Although Ros is in control of green initiatives, the decision of what type of money will be distributed to this type of work is needed to be signed off by myself," Christian added. It took everything in Ana not to pick up her briefcase and hurl it at the man. He must've seen that because his lip quirked a bit at the corner before he schooled his face into a professional one. Ros frowned wondering what angle Christian was playing at seeing as how she was in control of the financial aspect as well. She would of course grill him later on it, but for now, she opted to keep silent.

"Congratulations Ms. Steele. We will be moving forward with your plan. Please expect to hear from me this week. Andrea will settle payment upfront." Ana frowned at that.

"I thought you had to settle the money over the next few days," Ana stated. Ros shook her head.

"No. We always pay our business associates upfront. Mr. Grey and I should've said the budget for the initiative has to be settled. Not your pay. Along with your check, there will be several papers you will need to sign. Apart from a company non-disclosure, you are also agreeing to not take your idea to our competitors as we would have the right to sue."

"Understood."

"Good. Well, I will escort you-"

"Ms. Bailey. If you would give Ms. Steele, and I a moment alone? I will escort her to the front," he said interrupting Ros. The woman stilled before glancing over at Ana and raising a brow.

"Is that alright with you Ms. Steele?" Ros asked Ana. She kept her smile in place before nodding.

"Of course. Anything Mr. Grey wants to discuss the initiative is fine with me," Ana answered. Ros narrowed her eyes studying the two before giving a slight nod and heading to the door.

"I'll call you later this week Ms. Steele."

"I look forward to the call."

Once Ros left, Ana whirled on Christian, who was still standing on the other side of the long conference table.

"Really Christian? So that's your last name? How could you lie to me!"

Christian held his hands up in a peaceful gesture.

"I'm sorry, Ana. In the beginning, I truly had no idea who you were." Ana saw a box filled with index cards and hurled it at the man. He ducked before holding out a hand.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know! It wasn't until you explained what you did and who you were meeting that I put the two together."

"No kidding!"

Christian had a slight smile on his face.

"I wanted to see you this morning but you had already left. I wanted to make some breakfast for you," he added. Ana's heart raced and her cheeks heated but she glanced down at her shoes. When she felt his shadow standing in front of her she looked up and held back the gasp of how intensely he was looking into her eyes.

"Ana. Last night was the best night of my life. It was nice to have a conversation like a normal person and not be admired because of my money, or what I could do to help someone. Not to mention the sex, which was phenomenal. I can honestly say that Jose, your ex was an idiot, and I cannot thank him enough for screwing up," he said huskily. Ana crossed her arms over her chest before looking away.

"Christian. We can't-"

"Why can't we?" he said setting his hands on her soft arms. "We're two adults. It's my company. I can do whatever I want," he said the last part almost petulantly. Ana found herself smiling, almost against her will.

"Your smile is so beautiful, Anastasia."

Looking into his eyes, Ana sighed. It would be so easy to-

No.

Almost snapping out of her fairy-tale she took a step back before clearing her throat.

"Christian, I mean Mr. Grey. We cannot be involved."

"Why?" Christian asked. Ana groaned before shaking her head.

"I just got out of a relationship. Like a four-year relationship last night. You should know. I slept with you!"

"And your point is?" He asked. She growled when he chuckled.

"You are starting an environmental initiative with me. Surely you can see this is not a good idea."

"Ana, you will be working with Ros. I only just sit in on meetings like this. And technically you have big plans to save the world from downtown. You're an independent contractor for our company," he reasoned. She bit her lip before shaking her head.

"No, Christian."

He placed his hands on his hips studying her.

"No, huh?"

"No," she repeated firmly. A wicked grin settled on his face before he tilted his head. She didn't know what the man was thinking, but with a smile like that, it wasn't good.

"I'm going to need you to accompany me to a work event tomorrow evening. It's with some other green-based companies. I can introduce you as our new independent consultant." Ana looked at him suspiciously but when he only looked on with an open expression she nodded.

"Alright. Where is it? I can-"

"Nonsense. I'll pick you up myself. Say eight p.m.?" She shook her head.

"No, Mr. Grey," she enunciated. I will arrive there myself. Please tell me the address."

"No."

Her eyes widened but he remained firm.

"Mr. Grey."

"Ms. Steele."

She huffed out her frustration before opening her briefcase and ripping out a piece of paper. She grabbed a pen and jotted down her address before slapping it on his chest. She shoved past him which caused him to stumble back in surprise before she strode out of the conference room. Christian looked down at her hastily scribbled address.

And grinned in delight.

"What a great day it's been," he drawled before whistling and stepping out of the conference room, heading to his own office.

LOL. Ana and Christian. I love it! Leave me a review it makes my day!
