Taking place during chapter one, what if Kris and the SOUL are able to talk to one another? Result? Troubles will arise and now Kris and the SOUL will have to work together in order to close the fountain with Susie and Ralsei. However, the fountain is not the only thing they will have to worry about. As another evil lurks among the realm of possibility and the unknown.

The Heartrune AU is a Deltarune AU in which the player/Kris' soul realizes that they are controlling more than just a vessel, and explains this to Kris before any resentment can be formed. Together, they agree to figure out who discarded Heart's (the player's) vessel and why in order to set them both free. Female!Kris and friendship between Kris and her soul.
