I don't know about you guys but I was crushed after NCIS: LA dropped that bomb about Harm and Mac so this is my fix for how I could learn to live with what happened.

A little Season One "what if", exploring some plausible (if not-publicly-canon) moves on the "pairings" front in mid-season, beginning in the spring of 1996 then moving forward. No links to my other stories as at January 2022. Mention of Diane in the back story of Harm.

Summary: Mac and Harm are together in San Diego following the coin toss. But staying together ends up being even harder than getting together.

In 2018, I discovered author VISUALIDENTIFICATIONZETA had written the 2009 Harm-Meg marriage story "Making a Commitment". After 14 wonderful original chapters, Vidz brought the story to a close. It struck me that this story had further potential. I offered to pick up the story of Harm and Meg's married life: I am delighted and honoured to have been entrusted by Vidz.
