Colin and Mary returned from university before the outbreak of the Great War. Mary wants to have a purpose in life-Colin is satisfied to work with his father in matters concerning Misselthwaite. However, war breaks out, and it's every man for himself! Dickon and Colin go off to fight and Mary's future isn't as rosy without Colin...

Based more on the musical than the book; Mary's temper is known throughout the household, and Neville matches it. Drabble. I might do more with it. Rated K plus for cursing and an adult slapping a child. TW: child abuse (Just to be safe) Concrit adored.

2 years after the book(and 1993 movie), Mary overhears Medlock tell her Uncle that he should consider bringing suitors to the manor, even though Mary's only 12! Mary tells Martha, but's overheard by Colin & Dickon. After a brief argument, everything seems fine, until a mysterious new girl, Daisy, comes to the manor, and WW1 breaks out.

He's not sure why he thought this time would be any different. Based on a short scene from the 1987 Hallmark adaptation.

Mary comes home and tells Archibald has she really feels. Will he return her feelings?

This is a short story of how Archibald Craven and Mary Lennox love each other as family.

A simple little oneshot that came to me after rewatching The Secret Garden, set many years after the movie. Admittedly this is probably not my best work, but I like it & hope you do too.

Fiction based on the original book by F. H. Burnett, as well as the 1993 film adaption. Mary, Dickon and Colin are faced with love and war, and yet their friendship remains as strong as ever. Mary/ Dickon, Colin/ OC This is not one for people who dislike Colin. I will be making sure that he plays a large role in this story, as I've always had a soft spot for him. T for safety.

15 year old Mary Lennox and 17 year old Dickon Sowerby give their hearts to one another and now must navigate Yorkshire England together as they look toward their future.

More than anything, Mary Lennox fears becoming a selfish, vain, empty-headed creature like her mother. To prevent this she runs away from her schooling in London to join the war effort. Her thoughts linger on her boys, Colin at school and Dickon called up to war himself and her secret garden. Life brings painful lessons and sometimes it brings exactly what we want most.

Collin considers suicide after a long bout of problems.

Lily and Archibald adopt Mary after Rose and Albert die of the cholera. AU: Lily is pregnant with Collin. Mary is 2 1/2.

Mary returns to her home, hoping that the secret garden still holds the majick she once believed in.

Six years have passed and now Mary, Colin, and Dickon have all grown up, but remained as close as ever. As the war wages on though, the three friends will be torn apart, brought together in new ways, learn to hate, learn to love, and ultimately become new adults, each in their own way. Rated T for subtle content, but may get to M in some later chapters.

"Mary could scarcely bear to leave him. He seemed too good to be true." Mostly fluffy scenes of Dickon and Mary together, set around the time of the book.
