From his perch in his lighthouse, he watches the sea below, the birds above, and ignores the shadows of large creatures lurking in the water. He is isolated, lonely, and content. Then one evening, he hears a splash, spies a stranger, and everything changes.

Modern AU, Stede and Ed take Stede's kids to Chuck E. Cheese's.

Ed teaches himself to read using Lucius's fanfiction. He quickly becomes obsessed with this "Gentleman Pirate" and longs to see if the real thing is as fascinating at the fictional. Meanwhile, Stede discovers that he is shipped with the dread pirate Blackbeard. The stories Izzy writes disturb his delicate sensibilities, and he soon resolves to avoid Blackbeard at all costs.

Ed attends et n'attends pas Stede. Stede à déjà tout prévu.

Stede Bonnet is most certainly not the runaway son of an incredibly wealthy baron, who fled the very night he was to be wed to a Ms. Mary Allamby. Heavens no! He's a Lighthouse Keeper. And as a very good lighthouse keeper, he is positive absolutely nothing will go wrong. Not a thing.

Stede owns a corset. Not just a plain old foundation garment, but an honest to God silk-and-whalebone corset. He doesn't know how Ed would react to ever seeing him wear it. He's about to find out. Gentlebeard. Blackbonnet. Edward Teach x Stede Bonnet.

After yet another adventure with the crew, Stede decides it would be the perfect night to take some time for relaxation in his secret spa. How much tension can be handled before one of them decides it's time to change their idea of a 'relaxing night of self-care?

Some point after their Great Reunion, Stede and Ed find themselves some time alone at last in their Captain's quarters. Pure smut and fluff overload.

He's taken plenty of things by force, but this won't be one of them. (Anxious, adorkable frotting first times and all that. Probably takes place between episodes 6 and 7.)
