The following years were spent training to become what they need to fight the criminals and to protect the people of Gotham. During the day, they are Bruce and Grace Wayne. During the night, they are the Batman and The Scarlet Witch.

Part character study and part reform story, Jervis Tetch invites ex-Rogue Jonathan Crane to tea at Arkham Asylum. Jonathan consents for old time sake but with great suspicion. As Jervis pours him tea and his heart out, some of Jonathan's fears become not so in vain, after all. (This takes place after the fanfic OotBitF and is a bit slower-paced.)

An extra little bonus ficlet attached to "Out of the Belfry, into the Fire" about Jonathan getting out of Arkham, his last thoughts about giving up his life of the Scarecrow and a little silly bit of Harley and him getting together.

After Arkham's odd power failure, Scarecrow works secretly on a plan that will make him more monster than man, though running into Harley's new alter ego confuses things. As Harley continues to run into old friends and enemies, the possibility of meeting with the Joker looms ever closer.

Over the course of my life I've met the Batman close to a hundred times. Well, 'met' may be too strong a word for the glances I caught of him in the beginning, but it's been a long time since the beginning and things change fast in Gotham. I guess this is what comes from being associated with the vigilante king. Paranoia. Possibly insanity, but for now just paranoia.

Starting here, with blending of other Batman/Joker/ Harley Quinn as needed. Someone who knew Harley was better then some psycho's arm candy. this is how they join the diamond in the rough and make her sparkle... Rated for Language and violance.
