HMS Isaac Newton and HMS Alexander Fleming open the Shanxi Relay. This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. The following course of events would lead to Humanity's first hot war in over a century, a war which could have exploded into full on Interspecies Total War, assuming of course the various human nations could even agree on anything.

An overzealous Turian patrol dragged the rest of the galaxy into the political quagmire of Great Power competition. This is a soft-reboot of my first fic.

Almost a quarter of a century has passed since the end of the Reaper War. The massive beings that once tried to destroy life, now help preserve peace. As the rest of the Galaxy moves on with their lives, Miranda Lawson struggles to forget. An ominous new danger reunites old friends and forces Miranda into a life she thought she'd left behind. Unrelated to the Fate series.

Wrex was quick to search and recover Shepard. Now he works to keep her survival a secret as his people looked for the Normandy. There's just a few problems with that. 1. The alliance wants her and Hackett suspects she's alive. 2. The mass relays and most of the technology-based around them are no longer functioning. 3. Keeping her alive. Where's Vakarian when he needs him?

As the galaxy entered a post-reaper era; peace prevailed as societies began to help each other rebuild. It is difficult for Shepard to imagine herself as a civilian, but that is exactly what she has become. So, through all the trauma she and Garrus had endured, would they really be able to live a normal life? Afterall, they don't go looking for trouble, the trouble finds them.

Sable Shepard has a lot of secrets. He's supposed to be dead, for one thing. When his brother, Commander John Shepard, uncovers the reaper threat, Sable is forced to step out of the shadows, because he'll do anything to make sure John survives.
