Tonya B-312 is saved from her death by a team of Spartans. That is where she meets Kelly S-087. While they are on patrol in the tunnels under Castle Base they find a what looks like a slip space portal. They are sucked into it before they have time to tell anybody about it and they find themselves on Eden Prime while Shepard is looking for the Prothean Beacon.
