Five years had passed since the First Contact War. The humans are still strangers to the Citadel, they don't trust the other aliens and the aliens don't trust them. Two politicians want to change that with the first human C-Sec officer. Without being asked Jennifer Range becomes this officer. She has to fight against hate and prejudice. And her only friend seems to be a turrian.

Shepard's reputation for her reckless and lascivious attitude earns her everything from admiration to contempt across the galactic scene. Beneath the blasé exterior, however, a competent leader steps up time and again to defend her own in the fateful events that define her legacy.

A tasty treat of bite-sized ME stories

As per the original, it's the telling of what happens to Shepard following the Destroy ending. The fourth chapter is a bridging chapter (as per the name of the chapter itself), detailing exactly what happened to the Normandy following the crash, and how they return. Apologies in advance if this confuses anybody.

It had been a long time since Shepard's crew had taken her seriously. In her heart, she knew why, but how could she change the way she ran her ship? She loved seeing her crew happy almost more than she loved her members. (slight Shakarian)
