When Merlin is abducted by Cenred's men, Arthur swears to go to his aid with the help of Gwen, Gwaine and an overly-eager Morgana. In the ensuing adventure, Arthur and Merlin are left pondering the reasons for the abduction and accusations that their self sacrificing tendencies when the other is in danger may be fuelled by more than just friendship. Set near the end of series 3.

Arthur has been kidnaped along with his knights and Merlin must save them. But it isn't Arthur that is in danger this time, and this latest challenge could prove too much too soon for one certain knight with awesome hair. Contains Gwaine!whump, possible swearing, plus some gore and slash in the later chapters. Rated T for safety, and involves Gwen, Leon, Gauis and Elyan too.

But the peace was not to last, a new enemy is descending on Camelot as well as Merlin's own people. Shadows descend, the battle turns bloody and not everybody will make it out alive. No slash. His life at been for nothing, his eternity a worthless waste of time and energy and heartbreak, because the earth was about to explode, be swallowed up by the sun, and Arthur was not there.

Arthur has a crush on Merlin and mistakes his kindness for requited love. He then proceeds to convince himself that he and Merlin are in a relationship, when Merlin doesn't feel the same. Leads to merthur.

"It seems, Merlin, that you've been keeping things from me." The prince of Camelot declares him to be useless, as a man subject under the spell of so many secrets ought to given his performances as a servant. But Merlin's "uselessness" ends right there and Arthur may begin to see what's on the other side of the coin. (Rating may vary) T for: cursing and violence, heavy whump.
