Static tipped the taxi driver nicely before grabbing his luggage and racing to his front door. He'd been gone for a week dealing with a large casino project that his company had just finished up on building. He and his father were there for the grand opening and talking about jobs with other business owners in the area. He use to love to go on business trips, as he got a thrill out of seeing new places and meeting new people. The purple squirrel still enjoyed those things, but he found himself now longing to be able to go home in the evening and spend time with his wife.

They'd been together just over two years now, married just shy of a year, and he still cursed their time apart from one another. However, he was more than looking forward to greeting his wife then dragging her into the bedroom and making up for lost time. Luckily it was Saturday and this was Shadow's weekend with kids. A devilish grin crossed his lips as he pushed the door open and sat his luggage down in the entry way.

"I'm home!" He yelled out while loosening his tie and walking towards the kitchen where he could hear the sink running.

"Dada!"

"Daddy!"

The smile left Static's face as confusion over took him as he looked down at the two young children get up from the dining room floor and rush over to hug his legs. "Hey guys!" He laughed nervously as he lost his erection immediately at the embrace of his step children. He then bent down and returned their affection as he realized his fantasy of ruthlessly ravening their mother would have to wait.

"Hey there stranger." The brown female squirrel giggled as she looked over her shoulder at him. She then turned off the sink, dried off her hands, and walked towards him with her arms stretched out to welcome him back home.

Static started to smile again as he stood back up and took her in his arms. "You have no idea how much I missed you!" He whispered in her ear as he held her close to him for far longer than a minute.

"Guess ya will have ta tell me about it later." She smiled at him before pushing her lips against his. Sandy gave him a wink after she pulled away and made her way back to the stove to continue to cook dinner.

Static bit his bottom lip as he gawked at her from behind. He started to undress her with his eyes until his fantasy was interrupted by a small tug on his hand. He looked down to see Wes, Sandy and Shadow's son, pulling at him in an attempt to get him to follow him. "What's up buddy?" He asked as the boy pulled at him, with all his might, to bring him to his small pile of cars on the hardwood dinning room floor.

"I wanna race!" The boy proudly stated as he sat on floor and then handed Static a car, as he took a seat next to him, as the boy then took a car in each hand before rolling them at his adoptive father.

"Ah ok." Static smiled as he rolled the car that was given to him back to Wes. After a few rounds of pushing cars back and forth to one another Tex came up to Static and handed him one of her dolls as she gave him a hug. "Is she the driver?" He asked her.

"NO!" The young girls face twisted in anger. "A mommy!"

"Oh! Ok." Static nodded his head in understanding while holding the doll as girl walked off to her own toy pile.

"I win!" Wes claimed as Static looked back at the boy unleashing all his toy cars at him.

"Good job, buddy!" He laughed getting a proud smile from the young boy in response.

"Dinner is ready!" Sandy called out causing the three of them to stand up and head to the table.

Static sat the two children into their booster chairs before pulling out his wife's chair for her. She gave him a smile as she started setting plates out for everyone. "Why thank ya kind sir." She grinned while taking a seat. "but maybe you and tha kids should washer yer hands before eating?"

"Bah!" Static shot back at her before sticking his tongue out. "A bit of germs is good for the immune system." He then gave her a wink before taking a seat next to her.

"I'll be sure to remind ya of that when they are sick all night, and in need of yer help." She stuck her tongue out at him as she poked her fork into the pasta on her plate.

"Maybe we should call Shadow, as I'm pretty sure this was his weekend." Static sighed as he also started to fork up his meal.

"Please! Not in front of tha kids, Static." He looked up to see her frown in pleading. The two children seemed very uninteresting in their parent's conversation as they gobbled up the cut-up pasta on their plates.

"Alright." Static agreed as he turned his attention back to his meal. This was far from the homecoming he had been hoping for, but overall… even with the tension at the dinner table… it was far better than coming home to no one. He looked back up at his family eating around him and couldn't help but smile. Sex definitely wasn't everything… despite what his mind told him oh so often. This woman, and these kids… He couldn't imagine going through life without them now. Static started to grin largely as he finished his meal. He couldn't help himself. As he saw himself as the luckiest man in the world.
