Authors Note: After over two months, I'm back with the sequel to my story 'The Lard house'. I plan for this story to be much longer than my last story, though it will follow the same pattern as my previous story with there being a story followed by a bunch of 'oneshots'. I'm leaving the rating as a T though I might change it to an M if I decide to do some very mature scenes in it. Also because I'm still in the process of writing this story, updates wont be as frequent as they previously were. And finally I would like to thank Wolvenstrom very much for helping me with my story, It probably wouldn't be as good without his great assistance. Well with that out of the way, enjoy :)

These were the sounds that Lynn Loud Jr. had heard for the last 6 or so years of her life.
Lynn Loud's life wasn't as glamorous or amazing as she had dreamed it would be, she always pictured herself winning marathons, competing in the Olympic's, being a basketball all-star, and winning trophies and medals on a weekly basis, not flipping burgers at a dead end job, making minimum wage and being forced to live with her parents due to houses and rent being too high. Lynn hated her life, she hated her job she hated her sisters, and she especially hated her ex-brother Lincoln. She saw him as the main cause for her horrible life. After she had destroyed all of Lincoln's stuff in anger, her parents had sent her straight to a boarding school, 6 states away. Initially she'd actually been thrilled since this school had one of the best sports programs in the country who regularly churn out top sports stars and thought she'd fit right in...but all that meant was they weren't willing to overlook her academics just because she was a gifted athlete since they already had so many others with as much or more talent than her, and she was unable to get into any of the teams due to her low grades.
While this did encourage her to do better in school, and she did get on the school football team, she was kicked off due to her poor sportsmanship and being a bad winner, a habit she had never grown out of. It was due to this that she was unable to get a sports scholarship and without the sports incentive she wasn't able to keep her grades up and wasn't accepted into any colleges.
When she graduated and finally came home she was treated like a complete outcast in the family. Nearly all of her sisters either refused to talk to her, or they just acted like she didn't exist, Lily was just indifferent towards Lynn. Thankfully her parents and her adorable little brother Lyle didn't treat her badly, however, her parents had said multiple times that they were extremely disappointed in her. It also took her two whole years to find a job where she wasn't fired after the first week.
As the years had gone by, Lynn had become angry and bitter. She was now even quicker to anger than she was before, especially when someone made any kind of comment on her height or weight. Lynn had not gotten one bit taller than she had been since she last saw Lincoln, having stopped getting taller the second she hit 4'9, leaving Lyle the only one she could look in the eye without needing to look up, though that would soon be short lived. She and her parents thought that she would have a growth spurt, but unfortunately, it never came. Her sisters frequently calling her 'the runt'. And due to not exercising and eating fast food for lunch nearly every single day, she had put on a staggering amount of weight, now weighing just over 300lbs. People who remembered her hay day had stopped calling her 'Lynner' and started calling her 'Lynn Lard' at work, a name that infuriated her for reasons only a few would appreciate.
Feeling a tap on her shoulder, she turned and saw her co-worker Sammy "here to relieve me?" Lynn asked grumpily as she hated how far she had to crane her head up to talk to her much taller co-worker
"Yep, have a nice night"
"I'll try" she muttered and she went to clock out. After clocking out, she exited the Burpin' Burger and headed out to the red hunk of junk that dared to call itself a car. Hopping into it, the car groaned loudly as she got in "oh shut up" she grumbled as she tried to start it up. It took a few tries but soon it started up, and she left.
Years ago the Loud residence could best be described as a dilapidated crap shack, but after years of repairs, and no rambunctious destructive behavior, the house looked as good as the day it was built and solid as a rock.
When she entered she was almost instantly greeted by her little brother Lyle who gave her a big hug. Lyle was 9 years old, he was a bit taller than most boys his age, a cluster of freckles on each cheek, a smile that could brighten up even the saddest of souls, more energy than a thousand kids on sugar rushes, was always offering to help, and would do anything to make someone happy, but the most unique thing about him was that he had snow-white hair. Lyle's greetings always brought a smile to Lynn's otherwise negative face.
"Did you have a good day at work?!" he asked
"Well as good as a day at work can be, how was school?"
"Fun as always"
"You've got to be the only kid in the world who's happy to go to school" and she ruffled his hair, making him laugh. Lynn sniffed the air but didn't smell anything other than the usual house smell "dad not making dinner?"
"No, he said we could have take out"
"Oh cool, well I'm going to get changed" and she headed upstairs.
Later
Everyone was sitting at the table with a whole pizza in front them "so dad, any special reason we're having pizza for dinner?" Lily asked
"I just didn't feel like cooking tonight sweetheart" Lynn Sr. explained, this was something that had been happening quite frequently at the Loud house. Lynn Sr., like his Lard counterpart, now had a chain of restaurants after deciding to take a few gambles which paid off splendidly, however, recently he found that his passion for cooking had started to diminish and was beginning to get burnt out. There was also the added stress of owning over 20 restaurants all over America and training new chefs to cook the way he did so that the food tasted the same no matter which restaurant you went to.
"Well I received some good news today" Rita started, getting everyone's attention
"Lisa finished her rehabilitation and is finally going to be released tomorrow"
"Mum?" Lyle started
"Yes sweetie"
"Why was Lisa in a nuthouse?"
"Well you see sweetie, before you were even born she did something really bad for an even worse reason. So, for our safety, we sent her to a place where she could get lots of help so that she doesn't do it again"
He frowned and picked at his pizza "You always say that, but you never tell me what she actually did"
"I made her angry by uploading a funny video of her, so as payback she..." Lynn looked past her listening siblings to see her parents glaring at her with the obvious 'don't you dare' behind their eyes "...used me as a test subject for a whole bunch of experiments, she then erased my memory of it so she wouldn't get in trouble" Lynn said not wanting the truth to get out.
"What kind of experiments?" Lily asked.
"Bad ones." She said and not commenting further.
"Wow, she sounds bad"
"She is"
"Lynn don't talk about your sister like that, it's been 10 years, so she's bound to have changed by now" Lynn Sr. said
"Wouldn't count on it, we don't have exactly the best track record when it comes to changing for the better"
"That mainly applies to you" Lily quipped making Lynn give her a death glare.
After dinner was finished everyone had a bowl of ice cream each with Lyle clearly getting more than anyone else. Pretty much since day one Lyle was absolutely spoiled rotten by his family. Whether it was his parents or his sisters, anything he wanted, he got with almost no hesitation. The reason for this was mainly due to what happened with Lincoln and the family secretly vowing never to do anything negative to him. 9 out of 10 times this would result in a child being rude, demanding, throwing tantrums, and over all being a brat, but thankfully Lyle didn't turn out like that, he could best be described as an absolute angel due to him never being demanding and always wanting to help with anything. Once dessert was finished everyone headed off to do their own things. To Lynn this typically involved her going to her room and spending the rest of the night on her laptop trying in vain to find a possible date, which she only had success a handful of times with them all resulting in just one date. Even if they didn't mind or even 'liked' her looks. Her attitude still stunk as much as her work clothes after a long shift.
Downstairs however, Lily and Lyle were on the couch watching cartoons, as an ad break came on Lyle looked at his older sister "Lily"
"Yeah Lyle?"
"Why is Lynn so grumpy with everyone but not me?"
Lily got a thoughtful look on her face "I…actually don't know, she's been like that ever since she came back from boarding school"
"Why was she at boarding school?"
"Apparently she did something really bad and mum and dad sent her away"
Lyle turned his head to look at his mum "mum, what did Lynn do?"
Rita paused for a moment, she wanted to keep the truth a secret, so she decided to throw her most troublesome child under the bus. "In a fit of anger because she lost a game, she destroyed most of the things in the house"
Lyle was surprised by this "wow, I didn't know that winning meant that much to her"
"Given what our sisters have told us about her, that's no real surprise. Heck, I remember Lana telling me once that Lynn convinced the family to kick Luan out of the house by making them think that she was bad luck" Lily said, looks of depression came over their parents faces
"Wait you kicked Luan out of the house because you thought she was bad luck?" Lyle questioned, completely unable to wrap his head around something so silly
"I admit that that wasn't our best moment, but he forgave us for it" Lynn Sr. said while Rita looked to be on the brink of tears
"He? Don't you mean she?" Lyle questioned
"Uh right, she"
"Excuse me" Rita said quietly as she got up and went to her room with Lynn Sr. quickly following after her.
Lyle was very smart for his age and could see that something was amiss here "I think there's something that they don't want us to know" he said suspiciously with Lily agreeing
"Its Saturday tomorrow, why don't you and I do a little detective work?" Lily suggested with Lyle fully agreeing, before they put their focus back on the cartoons.
The next day
Lily and Lyle basically had the house to their selves, both Lynn's were at work and Rita was out gardening and would be soon heading off to pick up Lisa. The two kids decided to search from the ground up so they were now looking around the basement for anything that could be a clue. They searched through several boxes as well as looked under tarps, but they found nothing out of the ordinary. Heading up to the first floor, they began searching places that they hardly ever looked as well as the more 'forbidden' places like in their parents bedroom, but still they found nothing that would indicate that there was something physical going on. They then checked upstairs looking around thoroughly, Lyle actually found something when looking around the hallway closet "hey Lily come here"
Lily quickly made her way over to her little brother "what's up?"
"Look there" he said while pointing to the ground Lily looked and saw that there were indents in the carpet, roughly where the legs of a bed would be "looks like someone was actually living in here at some point"
"This has always been just a closet, as far as I can remember. Lets check up in the attic" the two then headed to their last destination. When they got to the attic they both got weary looks on their faces "I didn't realise that there was so much stuff up here" Lily said
"Well lets get started" and the two got to work.
The two kids spent hours up in the attic looking through boxes and piles of junk until "hey Lyle, come check this out" Lyle ducked, dodged and weaved his way over to Lily and found her holding a large old framed picture of the family "this must have been taken before Lori left for college" Lily stated due to Lori being in the picture
"Wow, dad had more hair back then" Lyle said with a small laugh
"And Lynn could actually smile without you being present"
"But who's that?" He asked while pointing to the white haired boy in the picture
"I...don't know?" Lily said, just as puzzled as her little brother
"He kinda looks like an older version of me"
"Hey you're right, right down to the…white hair…"
"Wait, you don't think that this could be our older brother?"
"That could explain the furniture marks on the carpet in the closet"
"So the family made him live in that tiny thing?!"
Lily did a bit of counting "well if that is our older brother, it would kinda make sense to give him his own room instead of having him sleep in a room with two girls"
"Yeah, you're right"
"Let's ask mum and dad about this guy later"
"Wait, last night, dad said he instead of she…you don't think they got rid of him because they thought he was bad luck?" Lily honestly didn't have an answer for that, she knew that her family tended to go overboard with these things, but would they truly get rid of a family member and cover it up
"Why don't we keep searching and see if we can find anything else"
"Okay" and the two continued their search.
After more searching Lyle discovered something else "hey Lily"
"Yeah?"
"What's this?" He as he held up a very dusty odd looking machine
"I don't know. My guess is that it's some kind of machine that Lisa made. Best put it back where you got it, who knows what that nutcase made" Lyle nodded in agreement and was about to put it back when he tripped over a fallen lamp and dropped the device. The device partly broke as it hit the ground, while at the same time, partly activating as a Pulsing swirling vortex appeared. The two kids backed away from the vortex before someone came flying through it.
