Turn 0: The Day Knights were Born

2010. The Invasion of Japan

The four children look towards the shore as they witness the destruction in front of them. The young blind child shrieks at the sounds of explosions to which an older raven haired boy holds her close to shield her from the noise, with only a fiery rage in his eyes watching the chaos ensue.

"How could they do this...?" the young pink haired girl stuttered. "This is too much!" She shouted as she fell to the ground crying. The second boy with dirty brown hair could only watch in shame as his country was torn apart by the invaders. "This isn't right..." the girl cried as her brother comforted her as well.

"They won't get away with this." The boy said with the determination of a man. "Suzaku, I swear.. this wrong will be made right." He said with a scowl on his face.

"L-Lelouch..?" the young boy said with a fearful expression.

"Some day, I will..." he said as he stared into the heavens as he uttered the four words that would change these children's futures.

"I WILL OBLITERATE BRITANNIA!"

Lelouch's POV

The three of us got separated from Suzaku a few days ago. At the moment, it's just Euphie, Nunnally and I. "Um, Brother, where exactly are we going to now?" Euphie asked as I carried Nunnally with the, little strength I have in my arms.

"To be honest, I'm not sure. At the moment, our best bet is to continue on and seek any form of shelter we can. With the OSI after our heads, the number of people we can afford to trust is low." I answered as I felt Nunnally shiver. For the next hour the three of us walked in silence until Euphie began the conversation again while Nunnally was asleep.

"Hey Lelouch? Did you really mean it when you said you would obliterate Britannia?" she asked with a small edge of fear in her tone. I sighed as I formulated my thoughts.

"Yes, I was serious. I don't know how, but I know that with everything from Mother's murder, to the invasion, the nobility is just, poison. Suzaku always said the best way to hunt a snake was to get rid of the head." I said with a small chuckle as my sister pouted.

"Jeez, that's not funny!" She said before closing her eyes. "I was asking because, I wish to join you in this quest." She said resulting in my shock. My younger sister was always such a pacifist, I never expected her to wish for the same thing I did. "As harsh as it sounds, you are right, Brother. There isn't a doubt in my mind that Father wouldn't think twice about the people. This shouldn't be allowed to stand!" She said with determination before she gave a frown. "It may sound silly, but I want a word where everyone can be friends with each other, but with him, such a world just, doesn't seem possible..." She said about to break into tears before I gave her a tight hug.

"It's not silly! Euphie, you have no idea how happy your words have made me, sister!" I said as she looked into my eyes. "Nothing is impossible! We can do this, we can change that smut!" I said as she and I smiled as we gave each other a firm handshake. "On this day, I swear, in the name of all those who suffer under the tyranny of their oppressors, I, Lelouch Vi Britannia will get stronger, to become their sword!" I shouted as Euphie was awed at my speech.

"And I, Euphemia Li Britannia swear to become a shield to those hurt!" She said with determination.

"This is our creed." I said with a smile. Surprisingly, the ground below us began to rumble causing us concern as Euphie suddenly started glowing pink as I began emitting this, grayish light from inside of me. The rumbling stopped as a large cave appeared in front of us, almost begging us to enter. Cautiously the three of us entered the cavern only to be confronted by what appeared to be large mechanical dinosaurs!?

"I'm scared!" Euphie shrieked as I tried to put up a brave front. We just made our vow, we can't cower to anyone! Even so, these things are the size of several Knightmare Frames combined! The large stegosaur and ankylosaur looked upon us as their eyes glowed as two blades rose from the earth in front of us.

"We have heeded your creed. Take up your blade, and we shall unite to fulfill this vision!" Two mysterious voices called out to us as we looked at each other. We slowly walk up to the swords as we pull them out, with this, several lights shined on us with several noises playing, only for me to open my eyes and see Euphie in what looked to be a pink suit of armor!

"Big Brother..? Is that you..? Why can't I feel your hair?" I heard Nunnally call out to me as I felt my face, only to realize I was wear a helmet much like my sisters. The two mechanical dinosaurs roared as they vanished from our eyes, as a black and pink key ejected from the device suddenly on both of our left wrists. Once the keys were removed, the two of us returned to our regular state as we hear the voices call out again.

"You two have become young knights of justice, Ryusoulger!" They cried out as I gave Nunnally my key so she could feel.

"Ryu.." I began,

"Soulger?" Euphie ended as we saw our blades.

"Lelouch? Euphie? Is that really you?" A voice said as I went on guard only to see a familiar young blonde girl in front of us with a sword of her own.

"Milly?" We both questioned as Milly ran towards us and hugged us.

"I'm so glad you three are safe!" She said as she held Nunnally close. "You three must have been through so much, come on, follow me, my family's only a few miles away!" The Ashford Heiress said grabbing my hand as the four of us exited the cave, only for Euphie to notice that the cave sunk back into the ground after we left. Either way,

these tools will do nicely.
