When a Ghost Meets the Rock Star's Daughter

Chapter 1: Welcome to Silent Springs

"Guys, have you heard?" Tucker excitedly asked. "The Ravens are going to Silent Springs! That's my chance!"

"Your chance for what, Tucker?" Sam asked.

"And what's so special about Silent Springs?" Danny asked.

"Don't you remember?" Tucker asked. "That's the town Rock Zilla moved in after his 'retirement' tour."

"Air quotes?" Sam asked.

"Advertising for that tour came with a question mark after "retirement", Sam." Tucker explained.

"And I didn't know you were such a fan of Rock Zilla's you'd go with the Ravens to Silent Springs to get his autograph." Danny commented.

"It's not for his autograph even if that'd make the trip worth it." Tucker replied. "I'm going there to know his daughter! She's so hot! And there's no way she'd resist me."

"Dream on, Foley." Dash Baxter said as he intruded into Team Phantom's conversation. "No way a girl that beautiful, popular and rich would want anything with losers like you and Fenturd. She can have any boy she wants!"

"Unless she wants my ghost boy." Paulina added.

Sam rolled her eyes at the shallow cheerleader's comment. "Serenity Zilla is likely an even shallower version of you, Paulina."

"And prettier." Tucker added, earning a glare from the cheerleader.

"Have fun there, Tucker." Danny said. "I'm staying in Amity Park."

"No, you aren't, Fentina." Dash corrected his favorite victim. "It's your turn to be the team's mascot."

"Look at the bright side, Danny." Tucker tried to comfort his friend. "Even if Serenity Zilla is too impressed by me to notice you, we still can enjoy the beach."

"Whatever." Dash muttered. "It's not like Serenity Zilla doesn't already have other people to do her homework."

"You boys have your fun chasing your fantasy." Sam said. "I'm staying in town and enjoying some poetry sessions."

The next day, the Casper High students arrived at Silent Springs High School for the game. "Remember the deal." Coach Tetslaff told the team. "Win the game and I'll let you enjoy the beach."

"Yes, Coach Tetslaff." The players answered.

"Well, time to meet some local cheerleaders." Tucker said with a 'suave' (in his opinion smile.

"Stop right there, Foley." Coach Tetslaff said. "We don't want a repeat of the last time, do we?"

"N-n-n-no, Coach." Tucker fearfully answered.

"Good." She said.

During the game, Danny became very concerned for his friend. "Tucker, did you forget Coach Tetslaff's warning?" Danny asked upon seeing how Tucker was looking at the Silent Springs cheerleaders.

"There won't be a problem if I wait until after the game, Danny." The techno geek replied, prompting Danny to sigh in frustration. 'Will he ever learn?' Danny thought.

"Forget it, Foley." Coach Tetslaff said. "I only placed you as a bench warmer so I can keep an eye on you." Tucker pouted.

It was a hard game, but the Ravens won. "A deal is a deal." Coach Tetslaff said. "We're going to the beach. And Foley, you won't have time to flirt with the enemy cheerleaders."

"At least I'll get to see girls in bikinis." Tucker said.

At the beach, Tucker wasn't disappointed. Especially upon seeing a blonde girl wearing a lifeguard's uniform. "Hi. My name is Tucker Foley! TF as in Too Fine." He said after approaching her. "Did you become a lifeguard because you're used to seeing boys lose their breath staring at your beauty? Because that's happening to me. I think I need some mouth-to-mouth."

"Eeeewwww." The lifeguard was disgusted. "Do you use that line with every lifeguard you meet?"

"No, only hot girls." Tucker answered and then realized what he just said. "No, I mean…"

"As a lifeguard, I save lip locking for those who really need it." The blonde lifeguard stated.

"Then how about I help with practice?" Tucker suggested with a smile that creeped her.

"Is this guy bothering you, Serenity?" A guy, probably her supervisor, asked.

"Not at all, Sir." Serenity answered, thinking of a subtler way to get rid of Too Fine. "Tucker Foley here was just volunteering himself to help those taking the tests to become certified lifeguards."

"Really?" Serenity's supervisor asked.

"Well, he said he wanted to "help with practice" and I know he can't mean specifically with me since it'd be creepy from someone I never met before this day." Serenity explained, making Tucker unable to talk himself out of it.

"Well, the only available position is playing the role of the person the applicants need to do mouth-to-mouth resuscitation." Her boss said.

"I'm in!" Tucker eagerly said, hoping to at least kiss one beautiful girl.

Meanwhile, Danny was swimming when Dale approached him. "Fenton, I bet you can't beat me to that buoy."

"Bet what, Dale?" Danny asked, reasoning that the lifeguards would notice if Dale did anything wrong.

"Bragging rights, Fenton." Dale answered and Danny accepted the bet.

After Danny reached the buoy, Dale took advantage of being under water to wrap the buoy's rope around Danny's leg without anyone seeing it. He then resurfaced. "Congratulations, Fenton." Dale said. "Now let's get back before Coach Tetslaff becomes worried."

It's unknown why Danny didn't just phase himself out of the rope. Maybe he was worried Dale would've seen it. Maybe he was too caught by surprise to think about it. (He once had to decorate a place for Halloween and didn't think about bringing pumpkins, after all) All that's known was that Danny was screaming for help.

Being more attentive than the lifeguard she once tried to impress, Serenity quickly jumped into the water and swam to the rescue. "How does she swim so fast?" Dash Baxter asked.

"And why is she a lifeguard instead of a swimming champion?" Kwan asked.

Serenity soon brought Danny back to the beach and gave him a mouth-to-mouth. 'Good job, Danny.' Tucker thought. 'I wish I had thought about that.'

"Only that way he can get a hot chick to kiss him." Dash mockingly commented.

"Mr. Baxter, his life is in danger." Coach Tetslaff said. "It's not time to make fun of him. Wait until she's done."

Danny finally recovered. "Are you okay?" Serenity asked.

"Ye…" Danny started answering and noticed the beautiful girl close to him. "…s."

"Good." Serenity commented, happy that she did her job and another boy fell for her.

"Danny, I took a picture!" Tucker happily commented. "Nobody back home will believe us if we tell them Serenity Zilla kissed you!"

"Tucker, she didn't "kiss" me." Danny argued. "It was a mouth-to-mouth. She was saving my life."

"We'll talk about that later, Danny." Tucker replied, wanting to discuss the not-kiss during a moment when they were not within hearing distance of anyone who didn't know Danny's secret.

"Tucker, the lifeguard tests are about to restart." One of the lifeguards said.

"Okay." Tucker sadly replied, already knowing that he'd have to let guys give him mouth-to-mouth and that the girls weren't nearly as attractive as Serenity.

"Lifeguard tests?" Danny asked in confusion.

"Tucker Foley here agreed to help the people applying to become certified lifeguards by allowing them to lock lips with him." Serenity explained.

Danny face palmed in frustration.

"I see you're used to his antics." Serenity commented.

"Yeah." Danny sadly replied. "My name's Danny Fenton."

"I'm Serenity Zilla but I think you already heard it from the Foley boy." Serenity replied. "So, are you staying in town for long?"

"No, I'm going back to Amity Park tomorrow." Danny answered, wondering what she's up to.

"Maybe we'll meet there when my school's team visit yours." Serenity suggested.

"M-maybe." Danny replied, not believing she'd be interested on him.

"Wouldn't you rather date a quarterback?" Dash suggested, not liking the idea of Danny having a beautiful girlfriend. "Just because I'm from another school…"

"I wasn't talking to you, whoever you are." Serenity bluntly replied.

"Sorry." Dash replied. "I forgot my manners. I'm Dash Baxter, quarterback extraordinaire and thus someone you should be dating instead of that loser."

"Then how come you're not dating any of the cheerleaders from your school?" Serenity asked.

"They're not as beautiful as you, darling." Dash answered, unwittingly angering said cheerleaders.

"What?" Paulina asked, reminding the bully that she and the other cheerleaders were within hearing distance.

"Hey, you're pretty but nowhere near her level." Dash said and it turned out to be the wrong thing to say.

Later on, as the students were in the bus back to Amity Park, a bruised Dash Baxter noticed a place. "Look! It's Rock Zilla's mansion!" He exclaimed and every student tried to take pictures.

"Wow!" Danny was impressed. "I knew the Zillas were rich but I didn't know they live in such a huge place. No wonder I believe Serenity Zilla would never want a boy like me." He commented.

"Try telling Sam that." Tucker dared his friend.

"Why?" Danny asked, not knowing that Sam has a crush on him than everyone else at Casper High knew about.

"Clueless." Tucker muttered.

Back in Amity Park, Danny and Tucker told Sam about what happened. "Guys, do you really expect me to believe that Serenity Zilla kissed Danny?" A skeptical Sam asked.

"It wasn't a kiss." Danny pointed out. "It was mouth-to-mouth. It was her job as a lifeguard."

"Junior lifeguard." Tucker corrected Danny. "The lifeguards told me."

"Tucker, the idea of a rock star's daughter having a part-time job is even harder to believe." Sam commented.

"But it's true, Sam." Danny said.

"Yeah." Tucker added and showed his picture.

"That's a fake." Sam said.

"If I'd do something like that, I'd have her kissing me." Tucker argued.

"Now that's something I wouldn't believe." Sam commented.

"What do you mean by that?" Tucker asked in protest but Sam ignored it.

"Did your parents believe that story?" Sam asked Danny.

"Like I'd tell them I was in danger." Danny answered. "They'd be too worried."

"Fair enough but I still doubt Serenity Zilla would want anything with you unless she knows you're Danny Phantom." Sam commented.

Meanwhile, at the Zillas' mansion, Serenity was picking clothes. "You really want to meet that Danny boy, Serenity." Her mother Crystal Zilla commented. "One day ago you didn't even care about that game."

"She'll probably forget him in one week." Serenity's brother Willy whispered to their family's pet komodo dragon Mosh.

"Amity Park?" Rock Zilla asked. "Isn't that the town we left out of my retirement tour because of the ghost attacks?"

"Yes, Rock." Crystal answered.

"I'm going with you to keep you safe." Rock declared.

"And I'm going to see what disturbs those spirits so much." Crystal said.

"Mom, Dad, do you really believe in ghosts?" Willy asked, not believing what he was hearing.

Crystal frowned at her son. "Young man, I never met a ghost who lied to me."

"Have you met any ghosts at all, Mom?" Willy asked.

"Not yet but hope springs eternal." His Mom answered.

Serenity then approached her brother. "Willy, you know how much Mom takes those things seriously." She whispered to him.

"I couldn't help it." Willy whispered back. "Come on. Ghosts?"

"I get it." Serenity commented.

"I just hope Dad and the Coach don't argue like they did the last time Dad got himself involved in a school trip." Willy said.

"If it ended like you and your friends said, amen." Serenity replied.

End chapter.
