Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story. This one about Overwatch. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Overwatch; Blizzard and a few others do.

The day of the crusaders had come and gone. It they had understood that? That someone was going to be curious? They still had to be in combat at the moment.

"Your armor is still needing a tune up, you know." He stated as he looked at her friend who was busy checking on his armor. "Blast it, the servos are busy getting ripped apart. Why do they keep overheating?" He muttered as he sighed and shook his head to himself with annoyance.

he looked at a set of armor similar to his uncle, it was still high tech… Just like the crusaders had been back then, but it was quite clear the armor had seen better days at the end of the line. It was just something that he had to deal with on a regular basis and it was beginning to annoy him.

"Because someone keeps overclocking the accelerator which leads to the system…" He heard her say as he groaned with annoyance and sighed.

He was going to have to check it, however. He knew for a fact that she was right. She was always right on this, but like his uncle had been? It was NOT easy admitting you were wrong and such, pride was a GREAT motivator, but it could also drag you down.

"Brig, why do you always do that…?" He asked as he spun the wrench with annoyance. "You always do that." He said while he cracked his fingers.

Then started to think about how this had started… Ah, yes. He remembered now, she had taken up the role of his uncle and he had rather enjoyed seeing her work. Her gear was far less protective than most crusaders, however… His was trying to blend the protection of the crusader's armor and her mobility.

Still? Trying to equal durability with mobility was NOT easy and thus? His gear was constantly breaking down unlike hers who was specialized at the end of the day.

"You know it would be easy to do at the end of the day." Brigette said as he rolled and shook his head. "Here, you show me how to do it then…" He stated to himself more than Brigette who happily started to work on the gear.

"I don't know why you don't let me help, Alex." Brigette said as Alex sighed and leaned back.

"Because we said we'd BOTH work on our own armors?" Alex asked while he looked down upon the rolling hills of their home. "Mine isn't made for defense like yours is. It's meant to go on the attack, make sure people can't get to you or uncle unless you're ready to strike." Alex said as he bent down to examine his armor with interest.

Alex watched Brigette work upon his armor with the speed and grace only SHE could do. It was not like he was bad at his craft, but Brigette was pretty damned good at fixing things… Not that he wanted to admit it considering she'd NEVER stop teasing him if he inferred something like that to begin with.

"It's ok to ask for help." Brigette said as Alex rolled his eyes.

"You're going to give the speech; you always give me the speech." Alex said as Brigette rolled her eyes. "You know I question WHY you think you need to do this. You already help the entire planet by inventing, you don't need to try and be a superhero." Alex said while cracking his calloused hands and then shook his head as he moved his goggles to his head.

"Your well aware how the crusaders and Overwatch were on the frontlines." Brigette said while she shook his head and all that.

Alex was silent. He was well aware of how the crusaders had fought tirelessly on the frontlines. It had helped inspire Alex to take after both him and his uncle's friend…. Still? He has CHOSEN this path of his own free will, it was NOT something that he expected Brigette to be doing.

Still? If she was going into battle? The least Alex could do would be to support her as best as he could.

"I'm thinking of using a gun alongside the axe, you know… None of the crusaders carry guns." Alex said as Brigette huffed.

Author Note

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out this might be the end of my Overwatch stories for now… Besides Sombra or Mei. Next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show Brigette and Alex starting more training and show how they had become friends and such. Until then, Lighting wolf out!

P.S: Next chapter is 900-2500 words.
