Chapter 1
I'm breathing heavily, I feel the burning in my lungs and legs as I run down the hall. The tears have long dried and I can feel the stiffness of them having dried on my face. The fear confounding me to keep going, driving me to try and stay alive for them. Compelling me to leave. But I got lost. I don't know where I am. I can't turn around…
Maskao went first, always being the one to strongly react the presence, this one was far too great for her, she said she felt nothing but hatred, nothing but a burning anger from the first spirit. The second she felt emptiness, just knew it was there. Turns out that this spirit was something similar to what we've seen before… At the Yoshimi house… A spirit being used as a shiki. Masako was thrown from the roof… landing on the old iron fence… I can still see the blood pooling from her body and mouth and the bars protruding from her throat, chest, stomach, and legs.
Madoka and Yasuhara were next, not as violent but still. They were in an accident as they were leaving the property for research. It appears the breaks were cut. They were slowing down to take a curve as they lost control and went into the lake. They drowned.
John was next. He was found in a room where Naru was having him exorcise. He was found hanging from the rafters from his sash from his Priests uniform.
Ayako was found in her Shrine Maiden uniform looking as though she was buried under a tree. We found her when I tripped over her head… She looked the most peaceful. Most likely due to the fact she was surrounded by the trees.
Takigawa was found burning on the ground in a position similar to a Buddhist statue, the scream still etched forever upon his face.
Lin was next. He was found in the kitchen. His head and meat cleaver on a chopping block and his body slumped against the cabinets and floor.
Finally it was Naru's turn. He was pulling me along, trying to get us out of here and alive when we got cornered.
"Mai you need to get out of here. Just keep running. Get off the property!" Naru shouted at me.
"But what about you Naru!?" I asked.
"Mai! You need to leave. NOW!" He shouted, pushing me.
All of a sudden, he coughed, blood splattering onto my face. Causing me to jump due to the startling impact. I looked down. A giant hole in his chest. Right where his heart should be…
Naru… I thought before running.
I open the door and jump in. Failing to realize I jumped into a closet. All I can think of is just trying to go back to try to redo it. Keep us from here. Or at the very least making sure we're more equipped to handle it.
