My Angelic Hero Academia
Chapter One: Becoming an Angel
~A/N~ yeah so I decided to make the antithesis to the other fic I uploaded at the same time. So standing opposite from My Demonic Hero Academia is This fic.
~Important Note~ I understand that I'm a 'Meh' writer. But I write for relaxation and fun so I really don't like seeing your flame and hateful reviews. If you don't like my work write your own.
Chapter Start!
Izuku sat on the side of a tall building trying in vain to hold back tears. He didn't understand why everyone in his school hated him so much. Were they really so closed-minded that him being quirkless made him, to their eyes, lesser? He hated this feeling. He hated that he hated them. He didn't want to hate them but he did. They bullied him on every level.
Every week he would suffer under the hands of other students. Beatings, insults, stolen clothes, trashed homework, nothing was too far for them when it came to bullying Izuku.
So here Izuku sat holding his now ruined notebook and a letter. He should've known it was fake. Nobody would ever like a quirkless, worthless, Deku like him. But he had to take the chance. The slim chance that someone actually cared besides his mother. Of course, they didn't. He had taken the risk and gone to the meeting spot only to be ganged up on by several of the girls from his school. They quickly attacked and beat him down. One stole his backpack and used her quirk to shred it to nothing. Another used her pyrokinesis to burn his notebook. A third held him in a headlock with her super-strength. The last one used his exposed torso as a punching bag. All the while they all said he was pathetic and how nobody would ever love a loser like him.
Their words acted as the final straw on the camel's back. Izuku couldn't take it anymore. He would just listen to Bakugo and his lackeys and jump off a building.
"I'm sorry mom," Izuku sobbed. "I wasn't strong enough to keep going," He added before he leaned forward and fell.
~Dark Alley~
A man grinned as he raised his hand at a woman. "So pretty," the man licked his lips as he slowly gripped the woman's neck. Tears started welling up in the woman's eyes. "I want to hear screams. Will you scream for me?"
"Let her go," The man's smile fell as he turned to see another man standing a few feet from him.
"Ah a hero," the man growls as he releases the woman's neck.
"Surrender," the hero said as he pulled on a cloth around his neck.
"I'd rather you die," the man said pointing a finger at the man. "What?" he growled as he quirk didn't activate.
"You're done," the hero said as he ran forward.
~On the ground~
Izuku felt light. As if nothing could hold him down anymore. His eyes opened slowly to see he was in the alley below the building he fell from. "Wait... am I alive?" Izuku asked as he looked around. He saw movement behind him. "Who-" He started before he saw what it was.
It was him. Part of him that wasn't there before. A beautiful pair of emerald wings fanned out from his back. That wasn't all either. He could feel it. Within himself. Power. Izuku slowly closed his eyes trying to get a feel for the power he felt. It felt strange. It was warm but flowing. Whatever the power was it was in his blood. As he focused on the feeling he noticed something else. He could feel more than just himself. He had tried to focus on himself instead he found the world around him. He could feel everything. He could feel the minor aches and pains of the people that walked passed the alley he was in. But what he truly felt was the searing pain someone was in. They were nearby.
"I can help," Izuku said to himself as he ran towards the pain that he felt.
~Another Alleyway~
With a grunt, Aizawa Shota leaned against a wall holding his side. He glared at the criminal he had beaten. Bastard managed to get a hit off with his quirk. Some sort of bone projectile. In the time it took for Shota to blink the man had shot his finger bone at and through him.
"Looks like you win," Shota grumbled as he slumped down. Nobody would be able to reach him in time. He was bleeding too badly. At least he went out doing what he loved.
"Sir," Shota looked to see a young winged teen running up to him. "I can help but I'd have to use my quirk. Is that ok?" the boy asked. Shota blinked slowly looking at the boy.
"Sure... I'll cover for you," Shota said. If this kid could actually save him he'd take it.
'Ok, I have permission... now how do I use you?' Izuku thought. 'I can feel the power in my blood. Do I have to make him drink my blood?' Izuku stared at his hands pleading with his own body to tell him how to help.
"Never done... this before have you?" Shota asked with a grunt of pain.
"Kind of just got my quirk," Izuku replied his eyes zeroed in on the hurt man's sheathed knife. "I need that," Izuku pointed to the knife.
"Sure I guess," Shota said. What was the worst that could happen? He gets stabbed and dies sooner. "Just don't cut your wrists," He tried to joke.
"Dark," Izuku said with a chuckle before taking Shota's knife and cutting his palm open. "I'll try this first," Izuku stopped when he saw his blood. It wasn't red. It was gold.
"The fuck?" Shota asked seeing the golden blood.
"Like I said. Kind of just got my quirk," Izuku said as he pressed his now bloody hand onto Shota's stomach wound. The effect was instant. Shota felt his strength returning. His pain faded. Hell even hid dry eye went away. The boy pulled his hand away to see the wound in Shota's stomach was gone. Not even a scar remained.
"Wow," Shota said.
"You can say that again," Izuku replied as he looked to his hand. Like Shota's stomach, it was already healed.
"Who are you?" Shota asked.
"Midoriya Izuku," Izuku replied quickly.
"Why did you heal me? I could be a villain," Shota grumbled.
"But you're Eraserhead," Izuku replied.
"You recognized me?" Shota asked slightly shocked.
"Yeah only because of those," Izuku pointed to Shota's capture weapon and goggles. "The only hero who uses both yellow goggles and capture cloth," Izuku added.
"Oh," Shota didn't know he was that recognizable.
"Also that's a villain," Izuku pointed to the still out cold tied up man. "He's been on the news the last few nights. Got spotted yesterday,"
"You're pretty knowledgeable," Shota said.
"Not really," Izuku replied. "I watch the news and read hero forums,"
"Fair enough. Now I would like you to come with me. I have to hand him over and report this. If you're there I can cover so you won't get in trouble for quirk use," Shota explained.
"I'll have to call my mom first," Izuku replied.
"I was going to suggest that as well," Shota said. The boy smiled and then froze. His phone was one of the things the girls destroyed.
"Right my phone... broke," Izuku said.
"We'll call her from the station," Shota said. He could tell the boy wouldn't talk to him about why his phone was gone.
~Police Station~
Shota and Izuku reached the station without another incident. The villain was handed over and Izuku's mother was called. "So what did you mean by just got your quirk?" Shota asked as the two sat on the steps outside of the police station.
"I sort of made a stupid decision and my quirk activated," Izuku said vaguely.
"Oh," Shota knew what the boy meant. "Should I be worried?"
"Not in the way you're thinking. My mother would never lay a hand on me," Izuku said.
"School then," Shota said.
"It's not important," Izuku replied.
"Bullshit. If it pushed you to try that it's important," Shota said causing Izuku to flinch.
"That obvious?" Izuku asked.
"To someone who lived through it yes," Shota said.
"You?" Izuku asked unbelievingly.
"Let's just say 'Kids can be cruel' isn't a new phrase," Shota replied.
"IZUKU!" the two snapped up as they heard a scream.
"Mom!" Izuku shot forward. Shota couldn't deny the scene he saw was cute. Mother and son embraced and both were crying.
"What's all this about?" Inko asked pointing towards Izuku's wings.
"I'll explain at home," Izuku said vaguely.
"Your son has a truly impressive quirk ma'am," Shota said as he stepped up.
"And you are?" Inko asked coldly.
"A hero your son saved," Shota replied.
"Oh," Inko said unsure of what to do.
"Could we talk at home... all of us?" Izuku asked looking at his mom.
"Sure," Inko replied knowing whatever happened her son didn't want to talk about it in the open.
~Midoriya Household~
Inko, Shota, and Izuku sat quietly. Izuku had just finished explaining the events that lead up to him obtaining his quirk. His mother nearly flooded the apartment when Izuku said he tried to kill himself.
"You never noticed?" Shota asked.
"Of course I noticed. But every time I tried to get him to talk about it he'd just change the subject. I couldn't help because he wouldn't let me," Inko explained.
"I didn't want you to waste your time on me," Izuku replied solemnly.
"You're my son," Inko said while grabbing Izuku's hands. "Nothing is more important to me than you. Nothing,"
"Mom," Izuku said softly.
"If you'd let me," Shota started getting their attention. "I think I could help you,"
"How?" they both asked.
"I'm a teacher at U.A. and I think you'd be a prime candidate for our not yet unveiled 'Future Heroes Precourse'," Shota replied.
"What's that?" Izuku asked.
"The headmaster of the school wants to start bringing in younger students that show a certain spark for heroics and train them for longer. You're someone that fits that bill. That is if you want to be a hero," Shota explained.
"Yes more than anything," Izuku replied quickly.
"Then we need to talk with Nezu," Shota said. A moment later his phone was ringing.
