Mild AU- Severus joined Voldemort a couple years earlier than the books

Hermione wrapped the time turner over their heads. Harry was looking at her oddly while he heard Ron in the background feeling like he was left out.

"I'm sorry, Ronald but you can't go," Hermione muttered.

Harry was about to touch the time turner, but she slapped his hand. "What are we-?" He was about to ask, but the room suddenly sped "What the-?" He was in complete shock. When the room stopped spinning, the necklace broke leaving the time turner to fall on the floor. Hermione hadn't realized that her time turner collapsed on the floor. They were about to head out when a voice spoke.

"Don't. Move!" Said a woman's voice.

Harry's eyes went wide with shock when he recognized her to be Madam Pomfrey. Harry looked at Hermione and saw that her face blanched.

They stopped in their tracks.

"Explain yourselves!" The woman who looked like Madam Pomfrey yelled.

"Well you see-" Hermione was about to say, but the headmaster came barging in.

Albus Dumbledore looked younger than he usually looked. Abruptly, he stopped and noticed two young kids that suddenly appeared in St. Mungos without notice. He glanced at the healer then back at the kids. He raised his right eyebrow as he noticed a piece of the object on the floor. He picked up the shattered glass and sighed. As he rose he glanced at the two of them. "Future?"

Hermione bit her lips. Her face grew warm as she nodded in response.

"I'll take it from here, Poppy," He muttered then left St. Mungos.

The two kids followed the headmaster to his study. "Unicorns," Albus muttered, then the gargoyle moved so that the stairs took place.

Gulping, Hermione followed along with Harry. They had gripped each other's hands not worrying if they were hurting the other.

Once they were seated, Albus offered them a lemon drop, but they refused. He shrugged his shoulders and took one. As he popped the lemon drop in his mouth, Hermione spoke.

"It was my fault." She stammered.

Albus took out his hand in front of her to get her to stop talking.

"No matter whose fault it is, Miss-'' He was about to say but Hermione interrupted.

"Miss. March."

Albus raised his right eyebrow as he seemed curious about the name. "Miss. March, however, because of your recent action, you are no longer able to return to your own time."

Hermione blanched once again. "I'm sorry, what?"

Albus took out his hand and showed her the remnants of the time turner.

She gasped then with shock and covered mouth.

"Can somebody tell me what is going on, and why the headmaster looks so young?" Harry asked, then crossed his arms with a frown.

Albus raised his right eyebrow at Hermione with a knowing look.

"I'm sorry, I used the time turner that Professor McGonagall gave me to help me with the school. I wanted to save Buckbeak and erm Sirius, one thing led to another and well ..." She flushed with embarrassment.

"So that's it? Are we stuck here?" Harry said with exaggeration. "Who's going to defeat-" He paused for a moment because he realized what time period he was in and bit his lip. "Nothing about this is normal." He said while looking frantic.

Even though he didn't finish the sentence, it looked like Albus knew something, "I'm afraid that you have to stay here until we can fix the issue at hand." Albus walked over towards a bookshelf behind him and took out a book about time travel. As he handed it to Hermione there was a knock on the door.

"Enter," Albus said.

The two kids turned around to find two other older kids. Hermione couldn't help but notice how familiar they looked. Harry's eyes went straight to the redhead. He was confused as he stared at her.

"Allow me to introduce Severus Snape and Lily Evans. They are ahead boy and head girl this year."

Harry choked on his spit and widened his eyes. That was his mum? He thought.

"And you two are-?"

"Meg March," Hermione muttered with a blush.

Harry had to think of a lie, but he didn't know what name to use. He tried to come up with a perfect name but he couldn't. He was speechless.

Hermione sighed. "His name is "Ezekiel Brown," she said, answering for Harry.

"Right," Albus paused. "And what house were you two in?" He didn't finish the sentence, but they knew what he was talking about.

"Gryffindor." They said in unison.

"Miss. Evans will show you two to the Gryffindor tower, and Mr. Snape will accompany you," Albus said with a soft smile. He nodded in their direction and they left with resignation.

Hermione picked up the book and muttered thank you towards him and left.
