Villain, part 1.

Izuku Midoriya sat in the quirk doctor's office, bouncing happily, wondering what his quirk would be. It was a plain room, pictures of the human body were strewn across the world and a bed sat in the corner, used for examinations mostly. The doctor's desk was bare, except for a half drunken cup of coffee that sat there, and a computer filled with medical documents he had no hope of ever comprehending.

The doctor, an old man wearing bronze goggles and green lenses sat down in a chair and faced the boy and his mother, an attractive-middle aged green haired woman, looking with concern at her vibrating son, his favourite all might toy held in his hand. The doctors tone set the mood of the conversation immediately.

"Bad news unfortunately," The man spoke, a grim expression on his face telling all the mother needed to know. "The boy is quirkless, it may be best for you to discourage any hopes of being a hero now." He whispered this last part to Inko Midoriya specifically. Izuku let his all might figurine fall to the ground, he'd never be a hero, because he was quirkless.

The next day at school Bakugo and his friends all gathered around Izuku to ask him what his quirk was, when revealed he had none, the boys looked at him like they were dirt on their shoes, unwanted and filthy.

He was peacefully playing on his own on the play frame later that day. No-one wanted to come near him after they found out he was quirkless, like it was a disease they might catch from him. He stood on the edge of the frame, taking in the surroundings. All the other kids had quirks, and he didn't, that distinguished him at least. That thought made him smile.

"What are you smiling about deku!" The last word was spat with venom in a voice that Izuku recognised all too well, and he turned to face Katsuki Bakugo, a boy he thought was his best friend, but now appeared to want to take the role of his tormentor.

"N-nothing Kachan!" He said quickly. A vicious smile spread across the Ash-Blonde's face, and he threw a small explosion at the green-haired boy standing of the edge of the frame. Despite it only being a small one, it still held enough force to knock him back a step, which was enough to send him over the edge.

The fall was short, but still hurt when he came down on his arm with a sickening Crack. He had been seen by most of the playground an laid there, whimpering in pain for almost two minutes before someone had the sense to call a teacher. As Izuku was lifted in a princess carry by a male teacher, he saw Bakugo, not looking regretful but pleased with his actions.

Izuku had his arm in a sling for the next week. Healing quirks 'couldn't be used in excess on a child so young as it may damage his development'. He had just walked home from another awful day and had just returned to see a red car in his drive, parked next to his mothers brown one.

He opened the door and walked into the house to find his mother in the kitchen, cooking with a worried expression on her face. When she realized izuku was there she tried to indicate for him to run but I was no use as a blow from a boot hit his back and the boy was sent sprawling across the tiled floor.

Izuku rolled onto his back, clutching his arm. He saw a portly man with black hair and a few days of unshaved stubble on his face. The man looked washed up, but izuku still remembered the face of his father, Hisashi Midoriya.

"Finally, back eh you stinking brat!" The man said as he kicked izuku again, causing one of the boys rubs to crack. "Useless quirkless shit!" He screamed, his breath stinking of alcohol kicking again. The man throat began to glow, charging up a belch of flames to use on his son but before he could release them he had been tackled by Inko who screamed for Izuku to run away and hide.

Not one to disobey orders, Izuku ran into the street and down a nearby alleyway and began to pound on a brown wooden door on the side of a building. A few seconds later, a grey-haired man in his mid-thirties wielding a knife and a fierce scowl tore it open, ready to attack, but stopped when he saw only a small kid.

"Please Mister! You have to help my mama! Papa's going to burn her!" Izuku broke down into sobs and clutched onto the man's leg, begging for help for his mother. The man signalled behind him and gave a nod. There was a brief sound of air distortion before the grey-haired man picked up the small boy and brought him inside.

The room was and old-fashioned bar, polished wooden tables lay about the room, and a fancy bar with a wide range of alcohol types, which Izuku tried not to look at. After being assured several times that his mama was going to get help from the man's friends, Izuku relaxed enough to speak coherently.

"Did he hit you kid?" The grey-haired man asked and at Izuku small nod, his face darkened. Giran was a villain well connected in the criminal underworld, but that did not mean he had no moral code at all. Hitting children, and if what the small boy sitting opposite him shakily drinking a glass of water said, attempting to burn them, was unacceptable in his books.

There was another warp of displaced air, and two men stepped back into the bar area. One wore what Izuku assumed to be a bartender's uniform, a very elegant suit without a blazer and he also had a metal brace that went from around his collarbone to just below yellow, orb-like, eyes. His most striking feature however was that fact his entire body seemed to be made of smoke.

The other man also wore a suit, however this one had both a blazer and tie, and was black instead of the smoke-mans green one. He was tall and burly with short white hair and red eyes. Uncharacteristic of his appearance however was the kind smile the man wore.

"Ahh, you must be the young boy whose mother I just helped. My name is Shigaraki." The Man in the black suit, Shigaraki, said offering his large hand. Izuku did his best to shake it with his small one causing the man to let out a rich laugh.

"Did you really help my mama mister?" the boy asked, hope in his eyes that they had got there in time to help his mother. A brief flicker of pain crossed the mans face before he answered, his tone now a tad bit more downtrodden.

"Your mother is fine my dear boy, but sadly I could not reach her in time, even with my friend Kurogiri's help." Shigaraki gestured to the smoke man, who nodded to Izuku, but stayed silent. "Your father managed to burn your mothers' arm, but as his quirk was weak from infrequent use, it only left light scaring." This made a spark of rage flare in Izuku, not only at his mothers' injury but his fathers' ill treatment of a quirk Izuku would give anything to have.

After he had finished his glass of water, The man called Kurogiri opened what appeared to be a swirling black portal, and the grey haired man, who had soon after introduced himself as Giran, led Izuku through it towards the hospital where his mother was.

After this Giran gave a wave and walked back through the portal and it closed behind him, The last words of the man called Shigaraki ringing through his head.

"If you ever need a place to get away from the world, the door to here is always open." The man had then patted him on the head and gestured to the portal and had been surprised when the small boy grabbed onto his leg in a vague attempt at a hug, but Shigaraki, being over 7 feet tall, dwarfed the small boy in front of him. Izuku had then detached himself then walked through the portal.

When he arrived at the hospital, He found his mother waiting for him with a bandage wound around her arm. When he ran to her she said nothing, only embracing the small boy, who had started crying. A few minutes later, A police officer with a cat head told her that her husband had been arrested on charges of child abuse and assault and battery.

His life changed drastically after that day, without his father as the families source of income, his mother had to work two jobs to support herself and Izuku. This lead to her being away more often, and Izuku to be left on his own most days after school. After a few weeks of an empty apartment, he remembered the suited mans offer to come to the bar whenever he liked.

Deciding that it couldn't be worse than sitting around doing nothing, he used a key he knew his mother kept hidden just in case her other set went missing when she needed to be off somewhere quickly to unlock the door and try to retrace his steps down the street to where the entrance to the bar was.

When he knocked on the door again, it was answered by a boy a few years older than he was, He had scraggly light blue hair and dry, yellowish skin, with red eyes glaring out of sunken eye sockets. He gave the younger green haired boy a puzzled look, before a voice called from above to let him in. Izuku looked up to see a camera pointed at them, a red light beeping on it.

The boy turned around and led Izuku to the now familiar interior of the bar. The smoke man, Kurogiri, was cleaning glasses at the bar, And a small tv near the end with a 'Video unavailable' Message across it. In the other corner was another TV, this one hooked up to a games system, it was currently on pause, it was probably being used by the other boy before he came to answer the door.

"Ah Izuku! You took my offer, glad to see you." A voice echoed out of the tv Displaying the 'Video unavailable' Message. It was the suited man, Shigaraki's voice. Izuku's face broke out into an innocent smile.

"Thanks for offering Mr Shigaraki, my mom is at work, so I came to see if there was anything to do." The man gave out a rich laugh.

"But of course, I will try to keep you entertained here, why don't you play some games with Tomura? I am sure he would appreciate the company." The other boy, Tomura, looked around at the screen with shock, but gestured to another spot net to him. It was at this point that Izuku noticed the boy was wearing grey gloves, with one pinkie finger poking out of a cut in the end.

After a few hours of Tomura's teachings about this particular game, Called 'Super Mario', he decided that it would be best to go back home soon. After saying goodbye to Tomura, Kurogiri and Shigaraki, he opened the bar door and ran out with a smile on his face, That had been great!

What wasn't so great however was the person he accidentally ran into. Bakugo.

"Watch where your going you stupid Quirkless freak!" He said, getting up quickly and kicking the shocked boy. Of all the people he had to run into today. Another blow from the fat boy with wings caused another spike of pain to flare through him. "Good thing we ran into you today, I was looking for someone to test my new super move on!"

Izuku turned over to see Katsuki grinning like a demon, both hands close together and crackling with explosions, as both boys raised their hands, Izuku o protect himself, Bakugo to harm, a Third voice rang out.

"Hey, Buzz off you stupid kids!" Izuku turned over to see Tomura standing over them, He stood a head and a bit taller than Bakugo, and when an older kid tells you to do something, you do it. The three kids scarpered and soon it was just Tomura and Izuku in the alley. After helping him up, Tomura walked him the rest of the way back to his apartment, his mother's car still absent in the buildings parking lot.

"Be more careful next time." Tomura scolded, putting his hood up. "For some unknow reason, the master likes you, so don't die ok?" Izuku nodded to the older boy who nodded in return, before walking off down the street again.

That had been weird, but nice. At least he now knew he had at least one friend somewhere in the world.
