Chapter 6 - What's His
Solas kissed her head rolling her on her back pinning her shoulders to the soft furs under her.
"You are so lovely, Ellana." He stroked her lips. He crept down her body touching every part of her chest. He kissed her stomach. "Every part of you," He kissed her hip bone. He felt her shiver under his lips.
"Solas, your words are as sweet as honey," She smiled wrapping her arms around the back of his neck.
"Then they are only half as sweet as you are Ara lath" He returned to her face kissing her softly. He slipped his legs apart gently as he rested himself between them. Pressing his hardening member against her most sensitive part. She was so deliciously wet for him. She squirmed, feeling him pushing against her. She let out the softest of moans. "Ara haurasha," He whispered into her ear. She blushed, biting the back of her hand. He laughed, moving her hand away, pinning it above her head. "Where were those sweet blushes when you begged me to fuck you harder?" He teased her. "Or when you begged me to fill you with my seed?" She looked away from him, hiding her face with her other hand. He spun her over pulling her hips up. He ran his fingers down her spine feeling her shiver. He pushed himself inside of her, revelling in the wonderful sounds that fell from her lips. He pulled her up pushing her back into his chest as he thrust into her. One hand played with her breast, the other gently grabbed her neck.
"Creators...Solas..." She muttered. Her hips moved on their own and she rode him. The door handle twisted, she stopped, looking towards the door in horror. She struggled, Salos held her tighter, as he twisted the key in the lock with his magic, stopping the intruder.
"What, I am rather busy?" He shouted towards the door. He didn't stop pounding Ellana as he spoke. She whimpered, he covered her mouth with his hand hushing her.
"Solas?" Dorian's voice shouting from the other side of the door. "Have you seen our lovely Inquisitor? She ran out on me and I haven't been able to find her since?"
"Should I open the door so that he can see you like this?" He whispered to her. He felt her tighten around her. She let out a muffled cry of protest, near breaking. "Then you better hurry up and cum for me" He threatened. Ellana trembled. His threat drove her over her limit. He bit her ear picking up his pace. "No Dorian," He grunted feeling her clamp down on him as she climaxed. I haven't seen her."
"Alright. Goodnight." His footsteps echoed away, signalling that they were alone again. He shouted her name as he erupted inside of her, collapsing on top of her as he did.
"Solas..." She was utterly exhausted. He panted cradling her in his arms, laying her down gently next to him. He placed a kiss on her cheek. She was even more beautiful now than she has ever been.
"You did so well Vhen'an" He was all praise and kisses for her. She smiled, her eyes getting heavy as she slipped into dreams.
In the days that passed, Solas and Ellana shared many heated moments, stolen passionate kisses in the shadows, desperate lustful fumbles on the outskirts of the camp. Solas knew exactly how to keep her drenched and wanting, leaving her for hours just on the edge of her climax. It was one of his favourite games to play to see how long he could leave her like that before she would come begging for him. Seeing her half-mad with pleasure was the most erotic thing he had ever experienced, and he loved it.
Ellana stood ready as the man charged forward. She deflected the first blow successfully but he came with another and then another pushing her into a corner. With a strike he had disarmed her, the point of his blade touching the hollow of her throat. She feints surrender before grabbing the sword off twisting it out of his grip. She lunged forward. In one fluid motion, he had spun her around one arm on the back of her neck. The other held her arm in the small of her back. He held her chest against the wall. He twisted her wrist sharply causing her to drop the blade.
"You're improving, but still not good enough." Cullen panted in her ear, he was distracting close to her. His groin pressed against the curve of her flawless backside. The only thing that separated them was three or four layers of fabric. He held her there, probably longer than he should have. Maker's breath, she smells so delicious. He could feel himself starting to stiffen. He pulled away, as suddenly as he had captured her he let her go. He noticed her oversize undershirt that she wore exposed the nape of her neck, it was marred by a large bruise. "Inquisitor, what happened?" He pulled the fabric down to study it closer.
"Do you mind Cullen?" She laughed, slapping his hand away from her neck. He blushed letting go of her shirt.
"I'm sorry, Inquisitor." He looked at her with concern. It was not a mark she would have received in combat, it was far more. Intimate.
"It's nothing." Ellana turned to face him sensing his worry. A few strands of her hair were stuck to the side of her face. He resisted brushing them away. "Are we done?"
"Yes," he answered, she said her goodbyes then walked away from the training ground. He watched as she walked away taking a deep breath.
Ellana walked towards her quarters reaching her door. Solas crept behind her, pinning her to the wood with his body. She purred feeling the weight of his presence.
"You smell like the commander" He growled. He twisted her hair around his hand forcing her head back as he dragged his tongue over her throat.
"Is that jealousy?" She teases him, feeling his hand running over her backside before giving it a sharp slap. His hand snakes over her hip, her leggings are invaded. She arched her back into him as he played with her, driving his fingers deep into her, his thumb circling that precious bundle of nerves.
"Solas.." She moaned slamming her hand on the door to steady herself.
"What do I have to be jealous about? Does he have you screaming his name?" He stopped licking and ran his teeth over her windpipe. She trembled as he bit her. He felt goosebumps appear on her skin. "I'm not jealous." He assured her. "I'm just incredibly possessive"
"Ema 'ma dhula i pala em." She purred. He pulled her hand away from her knowing how close she was. He untucked the undershirt from her leather leggings running his hand up her body. She could feel her juices on his fingers as they dragged over her skin. He placed her hands to rest on her hips and turned her around to face him.
"A tempting offer, Arasha," He cupped her breast. "I am here to inform you that Varric has been searching for you," He pinched her nipple teasing her, grinning as she squirmed. He moved away so he could see her. "You shouldn't keep him waiting." Her hair had started falling out of its braid, her shirt was falling off her shoulder, her cheeks were rosy. "I can never get enough of seeing you like this,"
"You are too cruel," Ellana looked at him and pouted. Solas kissed her forehead laughing.
"I can show you how cruel I can be later, Ellana," He whispered, his words made her ache with excitement.
"Is that a threat or a promise?" She looked at him biting her lip. While he may have been an expert in keeping her wanting, she knew exactly what she did to him when she looked at him like that.
"You are playing with fire da'len" He smacked her backside again, "Now get moving."
Ellana spent a few minutes making herself look less unkept before walking out into the air's chill. She was thankful for it, it helped cool her down after Solas's heated exchange. She spotted Varric standing outside the tavern. He looked troubled, which was a stark change from his usual cheerful disposition. He turned as she approached him letting his face return to a smile.
"Red, just the women I was looking for."
"Yes, Solas did mention that you had been looking for me so I decided to find you instead to save you the journey." She joined him leaning on the wall.
"Ah, that explains the bounce in your step." He grinned making her blush.
"Master Tethras, I am sure I don't know what you are suggesting"
"Sure you don't. I have noticed the way you look at each other."
"I forget how perceptive you are, Varric. What's the matter it is rare to see you so pensive?"
"I will have you know I can be as pensive as the next person," He chuckled. "I have reached out to a friend on your behalf. He's crossed paths with Corypheus before and may know about what he's doing. He can help."
"Excellent, you'll have to introduce me. I could always use new allies."
"That's the complicated part. It is best if you meet in private, on the battlements. "It's complicated." Varric beckoned Ellana to follow him upwards to the secluded part of Skyhold's wall. There was a man waiting for them. He was tall, dark-haired and handsome in a roguish kind of way.
"Inquisitor, meet Hawke the champion of Kirkwall. Hawke the Inquisitor."
"Though not a title I use all that much these days. The pleasure is all mine I am sure," He bowed kissing Ellana's hand.
"I thought that he would be able to offer some friendly advice on how to deal with Corpypheus, you and I have faced him before after all." He walked past Varric walking to the outer wall, resting his arms on it.
"You have already dropped half a mountain on him. I am sure any advice I can give you pales in comparison."
"From what I heard you managed to save a city from a horde of raging Quanri." Ellana stood at his side as she spoke.
"Not sure that applied in this situation, unless there is a horde of rage Qunari that no-one has told me about?" He looked back at Varric raising an eyebrow. The dwarf laughed before taking a mouthful of whatever was in this flask.
"No, just the one, and he is on our side."
"That's a relief," He laughed standing up.
"Varric said that you have fought Corypheus before."
"Yes, we fought and killed him. The Grey Wardens were holding him. He managed to use his connection to the Dark Spawn to influence them."
"He got inside their heads and turned them against each other Hawke," Varric said from behind him.
"My concern is if the Grey Wardens have vanished, is he doing the same thing again?"
"Wonderful," Ellana sighed rubbing her eyes. "So he has the Venitori, the Red Templars and now the Grey Wardens?" Hawke laughed. The Inquisitor failed to see what was amusing.
"I haven't come all this way to just give you bad news. Stroud is a friend of mine in the Grey Wardens. I met him when I was looking for information about Red Lyrium. As a result of the corruption in the Warden spreading, he was forced into hiding. I know that he is waiting in a smuggler's hideout in the Crestwood just say the word and I shall organise a meeting."
"Excellent, we will get out at first light, thank you for all your help Hawke," Ellana said bowing out of respect for the man.
"Anything for a pretty face Inquisitor, I will meet you there. Varric." Hawke took his leave slipping away as silently as he had arrived.
It had been a long day of planning and preparation readying the Inquisition to move out. Once it was over she retreated to the secluded corner of Skyhold that Solas called home. Ellana was sat on his desk, her legs crossed under her as she watched as he worked on one of his murals. She was entirely clear on the meaning but they were beautiful nonetheless. He has been at this particular one for the last few hours as she waited for him patiently. He took a step back admiring his work before walking over to her. He took a seat watching as she let her legs dangle either side of him.
"I have kept you waiting long enough don't you think?" He pulled her into his lap resting his hands on the sides of her thighs. He pulled at the fabric of her tunic exposing her shoulder kissing it softly.
"I seem to recall a threat that you made this morning," She purred as he laid sweet kisses on her skin. He stopped and grinned.
"Oh? I don't remember threatening you this morning, Ara sal'shiral?" He teased her.
"You told me you would show me how cruel you could be." Ellana leaned forward to kiss him. He lifted her off his lap placing her back on the table pushing her back. She looked at him, breathless with anticipation.
"Oh, that wasn't a threat," He smiled as he leaned over her pinning her hands above her head with one hand. He kissed her neck trailing down to her collarbone, his free hand creeping under her tunic running his nails softly over her skin.
"Ellana" Dorian's voice echoed down the hallway.
"Vara." She groaned in protest.
"Ellana!" He called for her again. Solas sighed, frustrated, and let her go removing her weight from on top of her. She jumped off the table and opened the door seeing the man walking down the hall.
"What Dorian?"
"You may want to go to the tavern. I am pretty sure that Cassandra is trying to kill Varric,"
"Fen'harel ver an." She sighed. "I'm sorry Solas,"
"We will return to this later. Duty first." There was something in his eyes that told her she would be paying for the interruption later.
By the time the pair of them had reached the tavern the patrons were waiting outside listening to the sounds of tables being overturned that came from upstairs. Ellana ran inside and up the stairs, dodging a tankard that Cassandra had intended for Varric.
"You knew where he was all along!"
"Damn right I did!"
"You conniving piece of shit" Cassandra swang for him, Varric ducked under her incoming fist retreating to the other side of the room.
"You kidnapped me! Interrogated me! What did you expect?"
"That enough!" Ellana shouted slamming her fist on the table to get their attention.
"You're taking his side?" Cassandra snapped at the elf.
"I said enough Cassandra!"
"We needed a leader for the Inquisition so Leliana and I searched for the Hero of Farledian but she had disappeared. We then looked for Hawke and he was missing. We assumed that they were linked but no. It was just you," She directed all her vitreal back towards Varric. "You were hiding him from us,"
"The Inquisition has a leader," Varric points towards Ellana.
"If Hawke had been present at the conclave, the Most Holy could have..."
"Varric isn't to blame for the conclave, Cassandra."
"I was protecting my friend!" Varric protested. Ellana stood between them stopping Cassandra from swinging for him again.
"Varric is a lair and a snake. Even after the conclave when we needed Hawke the most he still kept him from us."
"He is here now, we are on the same side," Ellana could tell Varric's exasperation in his voice.
"We all know whose side you are on, Varric. It is certainly not with the Inquisition."
"Cassandra, that is enough!" She shouted at the Seeker as she watched her face turn from rage to shock then to sadness."I understand that you are hurt but that is not fair. Varric has earned his place here."
"I cannot think about what could have been, there is too much at stake. Just get out Varric." The anger has left Cassandra's voice. The dwarf turned to look at the Inquisitor. She nodded encouraging him to leave.
"Do you know what I think? If Hawke was at the temple he would be dead too. You people have done enough to him." Varric left down the stairs leaving Cassandra and Ellana alone.
"I am such a fool. I believed him." The Seeker sat down holding her face in her hands. The elf crouched down in front of her.
"Have you seen the Inquisition lately? We are all fools," Ellana laughed trying to lighten the mood.
"Is that meant to make me feel better?" There was the slightest trace of a smile in her voice.
"No, just at home," Ellana placed her hand on the woman's shoulder. "I am not for a minute inclined to say that Varrc did the right thing. He did what he believed was right. That is all any of us can do" She stood up.
"Ellana," Cassandra looked up at her. "I don't for a minute regret my choice in making you Inquisitor."
"I know Cassandra." She smiled at her before walking down the stairs. Outside Dorian had done a decent job of dispersing the crowd.
"What was that all about?" Dorian asked as he saw the Inquisitor emerge from the tavern. She shook her head shrugging.
"It doesn't matter, it is sorted now." She sighed. "We are departing for the Crestwood in the morning. I trust that you are coming with us."
"And miss a chance to work on my tan?" He chuckled. In her field of view, she could see Solas standing across the courtyard, he gestured for her to come to him.
"I will see you then Dorian. Goodnight,"
