Charlie didn't move an inch but I see Renee's eyes drift over Jared, Sam and Paul. Her eyes widened, and her jaw dropped when she looked at Paul, then back to me, then back at Paul. You could see her piecing it together in her mind. Then she supposedly fainted, and Charlie caught her.

"Somebody take the bitch off of me? I want to go home." Uncle Billy got up when nobody else spoke or moved, and took her from Charlie and dumped her in the chair nearest the front door, and moved back to his seat.

"Good luck!" Charlie said closing the door, as he left quickly. We hear him speed off down the dirt track, and I had a feeling that truly will be the last time, for a long time I see Chief Charlie Swan. I asked Sam for the biggest water jug Sam had, and he filled it up to the top, I also noticed how it didn't feel as heavy as it did before. I could feel everyone's eyes on me but I didn't care. I got in front of the woman I used to know, and through it all over her face, freezing cold too, she woke up with a start! I knew it. One thing Renee is good at was acting.

"I knew you hadn't fainted, you've done this before," I tell her, glaring, my hands on my hips after I handed the jug to Sam. Paul stood on my left, trying not to chuckle! As my husband came back to me, wrapping his arm around my waist. Renee spluttered as she cleared the water from her eyes, and blinked as she narrowed them.

"You little brat! You haven't called me since Christmas Day! So after I dumped Richy's ass I decided to come to see my daughter, to find out why."

"It works both ways, Renee," I say coldly.

"It's like that is it?" She said.

"A lot has changed since I last saw you."

"So it appears, who's the arm candy? Are they both yours? Or are you going to share?" She said.

"You can fuck off bitch," Paul hissed cringing.

"You really are disgusting!" I say staring at her In disbelief, at the woman who raised me.

"What? I've been with married men before, unmarried men are less thrilling but still fun. It seems you've shacked up with one."

"He is my husband, and I believe you already know who Paul is, judging by your reaction," I tell her, enjoying the shocked look on her face.

"Who'd marry your scrawny, clumsy, pale ass? You aren't even pretty like me, lord knows how I ended up with such a disappointment, you were always resentful and ungrateful for the things I got you or classes I sent you to, you never wanted to mix in with the other kids!" I slapped her then, hard too, but I couldn't bring myself to care. Her words hurt me more, she was still whipping her eyes from the water I throw at her.

"That will do, Renee! Lord knows why Charlie put up with your ass for as long as he did." Uncle Billy stepped in, as Sam moved me to the other side of the room, wrapping me in his arms and whispering calming words in my ear, as I started to feel myself shake with hurt and anger.

"Paul, go outside if you feel like you are going to explode. Sam's now got Bella under control. I should have adopted Bella when Charlie used to bring her to me, for two weeks every summer that she should have spent with him. You are a dirty whore Renee, as you can see Bella's changed a lot since you last saw her. Her skin has darkened a little too, and her hair is a lot longer. Since being on the reservation, and away from you and Forks, she has gotten healthier, and happier. We also know that Paul here, is her half brother, something we recently discovered and he doesn't particularly like people hurting his family, and Sam is rather protective of his wife. Do you remember Terrence Lahote? Or were you just looking for someone to bed and forget?" Uncle Billy asks her, then adds "your one nightstand led to my godchild being born and your marriage ending, not long after. She's now living, and happy in her birthplace, married and working for my council. For someone who's been through a lot these past seventeen years; she's come through all of yours and Charlie's shit, and does not deserve your words." He'd gotten right in her face, and she leaned back into the chair wide-eyed. Her jaw dropped, opened and closed, she blinked and repeated the same movements. Sam whispers in my ear.

"Do you want to go, upstairs baby? (I nod) You know you can hear everything anyway, but she doesn't know that." He kissed my lips, and led me upstairs, nobody questioned us either, and Sam checked my hand whilst we were in the privacy of our own bedroom, and I crumbled into a mess. My husband held me in our bed as I let it all out. Telling him things I hadn't even told Uncle Billy, telling Uncle Billy sorry I hadn't told him. I knew Paul had gone outside and phased, and Jared ran after him, to make sure he doesn't do anything stupid in his fit of anger. Sam kisses my lips, drys my eyes and tells me to stay here, whilst he goes downstairs to speak to her.

"I want you out of my house in the next three minutes, and if you don't, I'll gladly throw you out myself. You are not welcome in my family, my wife has told me everything, and I'm sure that Chief will also agree with me, on the fact that you aren't welcome on the res either! With your attitude, I wouldn't want anyone else to get used and hurt by you." Sam said in an angry tone.

"Don't believe every word that little bitch says." Came flying out of Renee's mouth. She was bad, but I'd never heard her speak of me this way before! Was I really that blinded by her split personalities?

"My daughter is not a bitch!" A new voice said, making Renee gasp, and I'm pretty sure she had the same expression as before, and I felt something inside of me light up. I couldn't explain it, and it's like he knew.

"Come down baby girl, I know you're listening. I told you to call me if you had my kid. You never did, so I never thought anything of it, and carried on with my life. Had I known, she'd be with myself and her brother, and grown up in La Push." Silence greeted his words and he asked Billy, too low for Renee to hear if he could have permission to say the following lines. I slowly make my way down the stairs, as he speaks again.

"How could you have heard, you weren't even in the same room when all this was being said, were you?" She'd found her voice box again, unfortunately.

"I was just about to say before you rudely interrupted, I was out in the woods, having run here after getting a phone call from Paul, earlier this afternoon, plus I felt my child take her birthrights, place. I didn't realise what it was at first until my son phoned me." Sam met me at the stairs and took hold of my hand, we shared a look and I nodded, answering his silent question.

"None of you are making any sense at all, all of you are fucking crazy to tell you the gods' honest truth. How the heck can you feel another person? How the hell can you hear conversations from out in the woods, inside someone's house?" She ranted off. I can imagine Terrence rolling his eyes like I've noticed Paul do a few times.

What surprised everyone is, he phased right before her very eyes, and she screamed to the high heavens, making my head hurt, it has been fairly quiet with noises so my new heightened hearing even in my human form is sensitive to loud noise, Sam growled at her in his actual wolf voice growl and she stopped immediately, jaw dropped as she stared at myself, Sam and back at Terrence who's wolf is similar colour to mine and Paul's, I'm more of a mixture between him and Paul.

"Well, this is the most entertainment I've had in quite some time," Old Quil said chuckling. Is it bad that I almost forgot about him being here?

Terrence turned his wolf head over his shoulder, and his eyes widened then narrowed as he saw how close Sam and I are. I felt my arms move as I kept eye contact with Terrence's wolf, and took hold of the arm, Sam's hand is holding, gripping his fingers tightly. My husband stood stiffly, half in front of me. Father or not, I knew he'd protect me, no matter what. Paul came to stand beside me on my other side, and I felt myself relax a little bit. I didn't fear Terrence, it was more fear of rejection.

"Not so fast missy, I might be old, but I'm still quick on my feet, nice try though!" We hear Old Quil say. Terrence slowly walks toward the three of us as he keeps his eyes on Paul and I. He completely ignored Sam as he sits back down and rises on his back legs to his full height and looks between the two of us. Again my hand seems to have a mind of its own as I slowly start to reach out then latch back on Sam's arm.

Terrence notices this, and puts his front paws back down on the carpet, and looks up at me and moves slightly forwards. Paul lets out an uncontrollable chuckle, as he watches. Terrence turns to look at him and in one swift move has Paul on the ground and his shorts in his mouth as he runs out of the door, held open by uncle Billy. Sam covers my eyes as Paul runs upstairs cursing angrily.

Paul's still cursing angrily, when Terrence comes back in, and finds myself and Sam in the same spot. Renee makes some kind of noise, and I notice Uncle Billy and Old Quil, stand in front of her as he approaches us. Sam growls a little, sensing my nerves of rejection. Terrence just rolls his eyes and gives him a look.

"I won't hurt you, Isabella."

"Bella." I automatically correct him, without thinking.

"Bella, I'm not your mother or that pathetic excuse of a chief, Forks unfortunately has. Had I known, you'd have been raised on the res with Paul. I've never abandoned Paul like some people liked to bitch about, and he knows that. A wolf never abandoned their pups, male or female." He holds his hand out and I glance up at Sam, and he looks at me, we both share a silent look as he searches my eyes for something and nods, just as Paul comes back down the stairs.

I slowly take a few steps forwards, noticing how much Paul looks like him, and how my eyes are his eyes. Since I phased, I've changed rather a lot, even down to eye colour it seems. I gripped my husband's hand a bit tighter the closer I got and then slowly accepted Terrence, who pulled me into an unexpected hug. Sam growled, and Terence snarled at him.

"Aww, one big crazy happy family." I hear Paul say. I felt the tears start to flow, as I feel myself relax into his arms, wondering what life could have been like, and how much my life has changed for the better in a short space of time, my body included.

"I might be old, missy but I still have strength. So if you don't co-operate and leave of your own free will, the old wolf over there and I will happily throw you out." We suddenly hear Old Quil say.

"Jared, take her back to Forks with old Quil," Sam says suddenly. "She is to be watched and monitored. Nobody will believe her anyway, she'll probably end up in a mental home, if she starts spewing our secrets."

"Bella! You can't seriously believe these people? They are fucking crazy! Are you seriously going to let them treat your mother like this?" I made some kind of noise of disbelief and moved out of Terrence's embrace as I approached the woman who birthed me.

"I am one of these people, Renee, you are dead to me. Your words, and actions tonight, burnt out any hope I used to have of you actually being a mom to me. This is MY life and my family. You ruined yours, don't ruin my life as well, to prove my point," I phased right before her eyes and she screamed. I feel Terrence, Sam, Jared, Paul and even Uncle Billy phase.

"You better run missy, unless you wanna be wolf dinner. Old Quil says chucking. Renee looks utterly terrified, as Sam and Terrence move forward, snarling at her, with Uncle Billy, Paul and Jared following them.

Old Quil opened the door, and Renee didn't need to be asked twice as Paul, Jared, Terrence, and even Uncle Billy ran after her, as she screamed into the evening air. Thankfully Sam's front door is big enough not to be removed from its holdings.

Let's go, upstairs baby. My husband said through our mental wolf-pack link. I almost wished we'd have it in our human forms, but just us though. I knew Terrence and Paul weren't very happy seeing Sam's memories of us, but we can't help that. Old Quil shut the door and picked up the ripped clothing off the floor.

I don't think I'll ever be seeing my mother again, and that's the way I hope and pray it stays. I don't particularly want to see Charlie again either. We hear old Quil pouring water into the kettle, and turning it on, as we phase back to human. Sam had phased first and closed the door, and I turned back to my human form next.

My husband pulls me into his arms, and we just hold onto each other. I wanted more and I could tell he did too. But unfortunately, or fortunately, we had visitors.

Unfortunately, baby. I want you so bad right now. Shit! You didn't say that out loud, did you?

We both stared at each other wide-eyed.
