Bella's POV:

A relieved and happy sigh escaped my lips as we finally walked out of the plane.

Alice quickly went to acquire some new clothes for us to change into before we bought something to eat, and headed out the door to look for our ride.

When I saw who was standing there waiting for us, I almost turned back around and headed back to the U.S.

What the fuck was she thinking?!

Ianah sent this bitch to pick us up. Even after what happened last time we saw each other.

As we walked closer to her, I suddenly felt the need to pray to the almighty for strength.

I didn't want to end up in jail over a slip of hand.

And then she spoke… and all my efforts went down the drain.

"Beelzebub, RoRo, Allycat. I'm so happy to meet you! I see your hair grew back nicely." She greeted us in a fake bubbly voice, as she tried to hug me.

I dodged the hug, and gave her a tight handshake.

"Tonka truck, how nice to see you again. I see your nose set in nicely, wait no, it's a little crooked. Oh don't worry, I can fix it later." I replied in the same sweet voice as I passed her.

Rosalie snorted from behind me as I pushed past her and as I made my way towards the SUV.

I heard the high-pitched gasp, as she followed us and got into the driver's seat.

"So, how've you all been?" She asked after we climbed in.

"Great. Can't you see how happy we are to be here?" Rose deadpanned.

"Well, Ia, asked me to drive you all home so I thought it was a normal visit." The bitch replied.

"When have we ever willingly visited you?" I retorted.

"Well, there was that one time you three came that one summer." She replied as she drove hastily.

"Wrong." Rose retorted as she turned to look out the window.

"But we're friends. I thought —" she stammered.

Alice sighed, "Tanya, we tried being friends with you, and you treated us like a pebble in your shoe. We stopped trying after you tried to wax Bella's eyebrows off in her sleep. Don't act surprised." She sighed.

"What?! I told you that was an accident." She gasped.

"You left me with two degree burns on my forehead. I still have the scars." I plainly stated.

She sighed, "I was young. I never meant to hurt you, Be." She replied.

I rolled my eyes, sighing as my quota of patience dwindled. "So, what do you want me to say? That it's alright? What? That we forgive you? I don't buy it. Not for the life of you." I told her.

She sighed, "Because I learned from my past mistakes. I'm trying to be a better person now." She replied.

Alice, Rose and I exchanged confused looks. "Why?" I asked, in disbelief.

She sighed as she turned to the familiar house. "My fiance was killed a few weeks ago. After his death, I realized he was the only one that cared about me. I had burned all my bridges with my stupid attitude. I am just trying to make amends." She replied, sounding miserable.

I sighed, "I am going to regret this…but I have a feeling that if I don't allow this to happen, it'll be a bigger pain in my ass." I mumbled.

Rose and Alice watched in surprise.

"Fine, Tanya. Let's start over then…" I finally said.

"Really?" She gasped happily, as she let out a squeal, I'm sure that every dog in the world heard her.

I nodded, " Sure. But if you do anything to try and hurt us, I could care less that your last name is Greco, you'll be dead before you can even realize what's happening." I promised.

Rose smirked at her before we all exited the car.

Alice sighed, shaking her head, "You just threatened Ianah's younger sister-in-law." She pointed out laughing amused.

"No, I promised. A promise is meant to be followed through. A threat may or may not happen." I replied as Stavros and Ianah walked out of the house to greet us.

It had been a few years since I had been here. The last time I was here I was around fifteen. It was the last time my mother was seen alive. Ianah was a very distant cousin on my mother's side.

Yet she looked to be like an aunt. Her once brown hair was now dyed a very ashy blonde, and her hazel eyes looked to be hidden behind blue contacts.

She looked years older than the last time I saw her, and I was shocked to see it.

"Isa! Welcome back!" She said, kissing my cheek before pulling me into a hug.

"I trust that the trip here went well?" She asked, eyeing Tanya seriously.

"It went perfectly fine." I replied, giving a genuine smile at her.

"Great, now let's come inside before we all get burnt." Stavros said as he guided us inside before gesturing his men to the car. "Get the luggage inside." He instructed.

Ianah led us into the dinning room, before gesturing for us to take a seat and sitting down at the end of the table.

"So, I trust you got what the client asked for?" She asked me.

I nodded, pulling out the small pouch from my purse.

"The diamond wasn't in the vault, it was hidden within a book in a massive underground location. That will cost them an extra hundred thousand." I replied.

She nodded, as she opened the pouch and pulled out the massive yellow diamond, inspecting it before she slid it back in and handed it to Stavros.

"I will wire the money into your accounts within the hour." She promised.

"What about the artwork? I trust you didn't have too much trouble?" She asked.

Alice shook her head, "The paints you requested shall arrive sometime tomorrow morning. I did the work myself, and the kitsch was left in their place. They're none the wiser." She promised.

Ianah smiled in response before sighing. "Excellent. Now, we were asked a couple of nights ago to attend an event at the museum of Prehistory of Thea, Santorini. The customer wants the Blue Monkeys painting." She informed us.

Rose sat up straight. "When is the event?" She asked, concerned.

"In two weeks time. I trust you have enough time to prepare?" Ianah asked.

Rose, Alice and I exchanged a glance before nodding in response.

"Great. Well, I won't take anymore of your time. You should eat, and get some rest." She replied.

Stavros motioned someone into the room. Suddenly, we had food served before us.

I swallowed thickly before closing my eyes, trying to prevent the incoming headache from coming.

"Isa, aren't you hungry?" Ianah asked.

"No, I'm tired." I replied, holding back a yawn.

Stavros, being a tall thin man, with thinning hair, and usually bore a frown on his old leathery face, smiled at me before nodding. "Eat a little. You can rest as soon as you're done." He told me as Ianah set a plate down on the table before me.

I sighed, eating without hesitation.

When we all finished, Ianah led us to our rooms.

"Your things should be in there already. Get some rest, once you're well rested, we're heading into town and changing your appearances." She informed us.

Alice gapped at her for a moment before closing her mouth and nodding in response with Rose and I.

As soon as she left, I turned and made my way into the room.

The room was amazing, divided into two large sections.

One side was wide and spacious. It held its own bathroom, and a walk-in closet and bed.

The floor and ceiling were a beautiful mahogany color, and the walls were a light cream color.

A small plant was placed in one of the corners, just before the doorway leading to the other half of the room.

It was a sitting room. Complete with a small lounge chair, a wide armchair, and an overstuffed loveseat.

A large television was mounted on the left wall of the room. A small table that could seat four was located right by the wall of glass.

But that's not what caught my attention.

What caught my attention was the double doors in the center of said wall.

The set of double doors leading to the balcony. Which had an amazing view of the horizon.

I stepped out of my shoes, I sighed, as my eyes landed on my bag.

A small sigh escaped through my lips as I padded towards the loveseat, pulling off the wig as I did.

For the first time since I left Edward's house, I noticed what I was wearing.

Somehow in the time between out house and the airport, Alice had managed to get me out of the blue maxi dress, black and blue wraparound sweater.

She replaced them with army green cargo pants, and a familiar oversized tan hoodie. Exchanging my tan peep toe slingbacks with Chelsea boots of the same color.

As I made my way over towards the double doors.

I opened the doors, pushing the open before stepping out onto the balcony.

My hands quickly wrapped around the edge of the cement railing before sighing.

My heart began to ache as I remembered a few nights ago.

"Promises are meant to be broken… just like my heart." I whispered as the wind blew through my hair, and my eyes began to sting.

Without allowing another thought to go through my head.

'This is all for the best.' I thought, as I turned around and headed back inside.

I allowed a few tears to escape before I sunk into an exhausted sleep.
